Printservice event id 322

Hi Guys,
Our clients is using Citrix to access published application and print server (clustered), both servers
are running WIndows EE 2008 R2 All printers are published through GPO.
Users are complaining that sometimes they are unable to print usually on HP and Ricoh printers. Printer status shows "Error-printing". We have to restart
print spooler or restart the printer itself. Error occurs when they access Citrix and print from the published application.
Also, i check the prinservice logs i found this error.

Anybody knows how to fix this issue? Thanks.

First of, did you pre-installed all printer driver on your xenapp farm ?
Second, as it affect only certain model it's for me a good sign that it's a driver problem, as with isolation it would affect only print queue with that driver. Please check to update the driver if you can.
Check on hp website, they list what driver to use for their printer on a citrix server (http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4AA0-8465ENW)

I got a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5368 laptop with Windows 7 64b. I have an HP 1020 LaserJet printer with the latest HP software installed lj1020-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe that I can find from HP. The printer works fine, but everytime I print something an error message is logged in Event Viewer.
I googled this, but did not find anything that matches what I am getting. Everything I saw on goolge the printer actually would not print, but mine prints fine.
Does anyone know how to get Event Viewer to stop logging the code everytime I print to the HP laserjet 1020?

The document Microsoft Word - 2012-2, owned by YYY, failed to print on printer HP LaswerJest 1020. Try to print the document again, or restart the print spooler.
I get this anytime I print to the laserjet 1020 with Word, Excel, Notepad, Acobat, etc. Like I said, it prints fine, but I want to get rid of the error code being logged everytime I print.
I have posted this at both sevenforms plus the HP support forums, I have not gotten a response from either site.

Sorry I didn't realise that your printer doesn't use PCL (printer control language) - your computer converts a document to a printer specific file whereas with a PCL compliant printer your computer creates a file to one of the PCL standards and sends that to the printer.
The only other suggestion I have is that occasionally self extracting and installing driver files get it wrong. I'd try uninstalling and deleting (if possible) the printer drivers and unpack the files out of your "exe" file to disk and then do a manual "Add a printer" printer

Hello Billbo1970. I understand you're also getting the Event ID 372 error.
Have you tried uninstall and reinstalling the device software? That would be what I tried first.
I would also suggest trying the solutions offered in this thread on Microsoft Answers.
Finally, since this is the notebook forum I highly recommend you post your question in the Printing Forums. Here is a link. I have many peers who post in this forum and they should be able to help you in a better manner from this point.
However, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask me! I hope you have a great day Billbo1970.

  • Windows failed to publish property printBinNames - error 8007200d

Just like this old post (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/c9a445e2-b28f-4e57-bfef-c1a2f89b8cd6/printers-not-being-published-in-active-directory) I'm noticing some issues with printers being published to AD.   However
the error code I'm seeing is 8007200d.

An example of the event which only has fired for this specific printer.  It
IS published in AD however and can be found with the Find Network Printer wizard.   It's been on this print server for well over a year too.

Why then would Windows through EventID 322? printBinNames doesnt exist to conflict with per the error code thrown.
Even more odd is that I believe this error was preventing another newly crated printer from being published.   A new printer was created on the PrintServer. But the printer would now show up in the Find network printer wizard.  Right at the
same time I added this new printer, the Event ID 322 for the unrelated printer (AA-BB-4SE-COLOR-FXLSR) was logged.  Odd.
I then unpublished and republished the AA-BB-4SE-COLOR-FXLSR printer.  Windows logged both success and the same failure!  Also interesting is the published name it used is different
9/13/2013 12:47:19 PM - The printer was successfully removed from the Active Directory directory service. • Network shared printers stop working; default printer changes

    Hello,
Have an odd printing issue that seems to be ongoing and am trying to come up with a good solution or fix for it.
We have an environment that has a Windows 2012R2 Print Server, that is sharing various printers which are also set to List in Directory.  Some of the printers are HP and are using the HP Universal driver which shows as "True" for Packaged in
the print management window, and some of the printers are Canon which are using device specific drivers and show as "False" for Packaged.  My understanding is that the packaged attribute simply indicates that Point and Print can then download
the driver and install/use it without any security prompts whereas if it is not Packaged, then the driver must be installed on the local server/workstation by an Administrator.  We have Group Policy defined such that all Point and Print restrictions are
    Disabled.
We then have multiple Remote Desktop Session Hosts based on Server 2008R2 (x64).  Users connect to these hosts via thin clients (Wyse) and there is a domain login script using KiXtart that creates printer connections to the shared printers using an address
of \\printserver\printername.  We also set the default printer via the login script each time depending on user's group membership.
Each part of this setup is on it's own routed VLAN subnet, so the Print Server is on 192.168.0.x/24, RDSHs are on 192.168.1.x/24 and the printers themselves are on 192.168.2.x/24.  There is no firewall or other restrictions between the subnets, all traffic
    is allowed to flow.
The issue we are having is two parts, the first is the larger issue, but both are a pain:
    1) Randomly (no discernible pattern/reason/timeframe), some Canon printers will stop appearing in Print dialog boxes from applications when a user tries to print.  It only seems to happen on the Canon printers.  The printer will still show in Control
Panel -> Devices and Printers, but when you right click it and try to go to Printer Properties or view any of the printer settings, you'll get an error saying the printer is not accessible/valid.  I have also tried a WMI query for "select * from
win32_printer" and the printer will not be returned.  To temporarily fix it, we right click the printer, and choose to remove it and then go through the wizard to re-add the same printer from the directory again.  That will correct it and the
user can print again, view all properties, etc.  This doesn't happen to every user but happens sporadically and once it happens to a user it seems to pop up once every week or two.
Now, we have made a change and installed the Canon printers in question locally on the Remote Desktop Session Hosts themselves using TCP/IP ports so that each user logging into the session host will see all of the printers.  This also seems to have resolved
this issue.  So it leads me to think there is some sort of timeout or connection getting dropped, but for no real apparent reason.  This is all on a virtualized platform and so the Print Server and Session Hosts have very reliable LAN connections
amongst themselves.  And further, we never see the issue with the HP printers, they seem to maintain their stability at all times.
    2) The other issue we are seeing is that from time to time the default printer setting changes or vanishes altogether.  It doesn't happen to every user but once it does happen it happens regularly (multiple times a day).  This happens even when using
the locally mapped TCP/IP printer or when using the network print server.  From what I have read and found, this generally seems to be a known issue regarding redirected client printers and some GP settings related thereto.  But we aren't redirecting
any local client printers, everything is network based/shared.
In digging into these two issues I have run across the following error we get regularly in the PrintService Event Viewer log:
The print spooler failed to import the printer driver that was downloaded from \\printserver\print$\x64\PCC\ntprint.inf_amd64_59246c3ac1bd3f2a.cab into the driver store for driver Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver. Error code= 800f024b.
This can occur if there is a problem with the driver or the digital signature of the driver.
And digging further into that seems to be that their was an error validating one of the DLL files as seen at the following thread:  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/9fe186e4-52f7-4552-a223-b2320cfc9ed5/driver-install-semi-fails-with-800f024b?forum=winserverprint
We get the exact same error that is shown there UNISRV.DLL being flagged as invalid, and have applied the hotfix indicated in KB2701894.
I am not sure the above error is realted to the issues at hand, but figured it is a good starting point to eliminate it as a potential cause of the issue.
Any input or suggestions on what to do to diagnose or further resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Alan, I'm getting this error 600 in my company. Is there any fix for this problem?
After installing KB2919355 on Windows 2012 R2, when I try to map a shared printer I receive the following error message: A policy is in effect on your computer which prevents you from connecting to this print queue. Please contact your system administrator.
If I uninstall the patch the shared printer maps correctly.
I also notice that if I copy the driver \\server\print$\x64\PCC\ntprint.inf_amd64_a7ac65d1b7714fb1.cab
from a Windows 2012 R2 before applying KB2919355 to the server that has the patch applyed (and rename it), I can map the printer.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for that?

  • Touch driver blocked due to failed logo requirements

I have the HP Envy m6 Win8 laptop which is not a touch screen laptop. My laptop, sinc January, has been repeatedly freezing requiring hard restarts. I have taken it into GeekSquad 4 times now and had the motherboard replaced, my hard drive replaced, and
my drivers updated. However, it's still having issues. I looked at the failed event log and this is what it says:
    Source: win32k
    event ID: 266
General: Touch driver blocked due to failed logo requirements
There's also another one that says:
    Source: PrintService
    event ID: 215
General: Installing printer driver- failed, error code 0xBC8, HRESULT 0x80070BC8. See the event user data for context information.
At the same exact time as event 215, this one occurs as well:
    Source: PrintService
    event ID: 370
General: The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 3016 (0xbc8). This can occur after an operating system
upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.
I can't find anything on the web to fix this issue. My husband is a comm guy who works on computers all the time and can't figure it out. GeekSquad has had my laptop for (total) a month and can't figure it out. Any insight would be much appreciated! I just
want my computer (which is only 8 months old) to stop freezing! :(

I've the same problem also. I'm using acer ravo. problem is the pc just lost connection to display/monitor without any reason after being left for some hours and wont wake up..the only thing to reestablish the display/monitor is by hard restart.
    Pls help

    Hello Shankar,
In addition to  Michael's reply, here are the steps to get to the CPU statistics on detailed, it is not easy to say when a box is really getting overload with one output, we should look over the CPU behavior over the  months, weeks, days and  hours of CPU utilization.
1- get the sysreport from the device: ( this is heavy process make sure you don't run the command when there's a lot of traffic on your customer's  network, schedule sometime ahead if needed)
    WAE#copy sysreport ftp
2- get the sysreport open and surf through the following path:
    state/actona/conf/Manager/MRTG/stats/gw/
3- along with  logs analisys and the CPU charts it should help your client  to have a idea how the WAE and network traffic really behave, figure out possible network issues or disregard normal CPU utilization.
4- I suggest to use the Cisco employee tech zone for any  further questions on any technology.
    Regards,
    Felix

  • Configuring status alerts on scheduled tasks in SCOM 2012 SP1

I have spent all day looking for helpful documentation on configuring a SCOM alert that will notify on a scheduled task (call it task_1) that has failed to run.
In event viewer, this status is being reported as Event ID 322. I'd like to report on this.
Looking for the community's help to list out high level steps on getting this to work. Here's what I've already done:
imported the YASC MP into SCOM from
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/yasc/archive/2008/04/16/monitoring-scheduled-taks-with-ops-mgr-2007.aspx
under Authoring>searched for 'task' and found my MP listed under 'scheduled Task (Windows Server 2008 or higher)>Check Task Last Run Status>right click monitor>create a monitor>unit monitor...
    this is where i'm confused...
the next window to pop up is asking for the type of monitor to create. I'd like to be able to select one that only reports on when the task has failed to run.
Has anyone been able to successfully configure this?
    Appreciate the help!

Creating an alert based on an Event ID is really straightforward and does not request you to import any 3rd party Management pack (you can but you don't have to).
For rundown of the steps required to accomplish this pls check the following blog:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jjameson/archive/2011/03/18/operations-manager-alerts-for-event-log-errors.aspx
Let me know if you have follow up question

  • [SOLVED] Certain programs crash the GUI (ATI graphics card)

    Hi all,
When I start certain programs, the GUI crashes and becomes inreadable. I can't see the text, buttons or anything. It is as if 'bricks' have been moved around.
When I log on to a Virtual Consile, I can restart GDM, login and all is fine, untill I start the certain programs again.
It seems to be these two programs causing the GUI to crash:
LibreOffice (It automatically starts in the document restore mode, after the last crash - which crashes the GUI )
    Keepass
Other programs I can use jsut fine:
    Gimp
    FireFox
    Chromium
    Eclipse
    Rhythmbox
    Banshee
I do not know what causes this, nor where I should start looking. I've skimmed through the error logs, but I do not see anything suspecious.
I'm running arch linux, 64 - bit, and it is fully updated, open source ati drivers.
Where should I start looking, and what might cause this problem?
Thank you in advance for your help.

    *Edit
Changed the subject to solved, and added the info that I use an ATI card.
The solution was in the following thread.

    Hi LalaJee,
    Sorry for my delay.
On current situation, please check if new printer drivers need to be updated. Meanwhile, please refer to following
HotFix and check if can help you.
FIX: A legacy HP printer driver may crash when you run
a 32-bit application on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2
If this issue still exists, please temporarily disable Print Spooler service, clear Pinter Spooler files and
re-enable the Print Spooler service. Then monitor the result.
    Click Start, type
Services.msc in Run. In Services, navigate to Print Spooler service and temporarily disable it.
Then please locate to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS folder, clear all files in the folder.
Please enable the Print Spooler service again.
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

  • Event Id: 372 Source: PrintService Print Locally Error

    Hi Friends.
I'm trying to print locally trought terminal services on Windows 2008 Server Foundation R2, The Server is a DC too.
    I saw this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968605
I did the procedure but nothing happens, the error appears again. Some solution to workaround this problem?. This is a little network, i don't have other server, but we need terminal services to run a remote application.
    Thanks.

    This solution my problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962930
    1.        On the Terminal Server locate the Printers folder.  This is normally located at: to c:\windows\system32\spool\printers
    2.       Right-click on the Printers folder, and then click Properties.
    3.       Click Security, and then add everyone to the security permissions.
    4.       Click Apply, and then OK.

  • Eventing and Print Jobs

Hey all! I am attempting to write a script that will collect information about print jobs on a print server and write the data to a database. I am trying to get data on print job owner, printer name, whether it was color or grayscale, number of pages and
    number of copies.
I am running into a problem finding a method to collect events for print jobs. I have attempted to subscribe to creation and modification events of the Win32_PrintJob class, which is ok but doesn't seem very accurate about details like pages printed
and color/grayscale. I next attempted to respond to these events by using Get-WinEvent each time the event fires and then using the JobId property of the event to scan the PrintService log for matching 307 and 805 events. However, I have found that the Win32_PrintJob
JobId does not seem to match the document id in the event log entries.
I scrapped that idea and instead attempted to collect .NET events for the NTEventLog class but this only seems to work with the traditional logs such as system, security and application.
I suppose I could just scan the event logs on a regular basis and collect print job information that way, but I was really looking to collect and log this info in real time rather than just looping every so often. Has anyone else tried eventing for any of
these classes? Is it possible there is another .NET class I could subscribe to that would provide me with details of incoming print jobs? Am I going about this entirely the wrong way?
    Thanks!

    Hi Matt,
Maybe you can try the .NET class for printing:
    Function Get-PrintJobs
    <#
    .SYNOPSIS
Return the list of jobs on the current printer
    .DESCRIPTION
This function returns a list of pending jobs on the specified print server for a given queue

    .PARAMETER Name
    Name of the print queue

    Begin
    $Host.Runspace.ThreadOptions = "ReuseThread"
    if ((Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_OperatingSystem).OSArchitecture -eq '64-bit')
    $SystemPrinting = Get-ChildItem "$($env:systemroot)\assembly\GAC_64\System.Printing"
    $SystemPrintingFile = Get-ChildItem -Name "*system.printing*" -Recurse -Path $SystemPrinting.FullName
    $SystemPrintingFile = "$($SystemPrinting.FullName)\$($SystemPrintingFile)"
    else
    $SystemPrinting = Get-ChildItem "$($env:systemroot)\assembly\GAC_32\System.Printing"
    $SystemPrintingFile = Get-ChildItem -Name "*system.printing*" -Recurse -Path $SystemPrinting.FullName
    $SystemPrintingFile = "$($SystemPrinting.FullName)\$($SystemPrintingFile)"
    $ErrorActionPreference = "Stop"
    Try
    Add-Type -Path $SystemPrintingFile
    $PrintServer = New-Object System.Printing.PrintServer("\\$($ComputerName)")
    $PrintQueue = $PrintServer.GetPrintQueue($Name)
    $PrintJobs = $PrintQueue.GetPrintJobInfoCollection()
    Catch
    Write-Error $Error[0].Exception
    Break
    Process

    Return $PrintJobs

  • Print document's name in Event Log ID #307 on Server 2012

Creating a new printer server using Windows Server 2012.  Everything is working out fine so far, however I just ran into one problem that didn't happen in our Server 2008R2 print server.
When looking at print jobs that have completed under:  event logs --> Microsoft --> Windows --> PrintService --Operational, I have noticed that Event ID 307 is not displaying the printed document's name in Server 2012 (it did for Server 2008R2).
In Server 2012, the document name simply displays as "Print Document" instead of displaying the document's name.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get the document's name to properly display in the event logs?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Alan,
I have configured a Server 2012 R2 standard as print server to manage printers and Monitor the print usage of users, however I am not getting the Print logs (Event Log ID 307) in the default event logs directory on the print Server.
I perform some search and come to know that it’s a known problem in Server 2012 and there is Hotfix available. I installed the Hotfix mentioned here
http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2938013/en-us , but still logs are not getting generated.
I also made the below setting for the logs.
    Creating Registry entry
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers] "ShowJobTitleInEventLogs"=dword:00000001
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers] "ShowJobTitleInEventLogs"=dword:00000001
The policy name: Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Printers
Allow job name in event logs
Keep printed Docs setting is also enabled on all the printers installed on Print Server.
Noting seems to be working here or am i doing something wrong here.

  • Server 2012 Event 307 - Printed Document Name

I created a printer monitoring system that pulls events from the event logs of a server and then compiles this information into reports.  I can tell how many pages printed per printer for a period of time, I can tell what users are my highest printers
and once in awhile for some reason I would actually review what was printed.
I use this data to determine when another printer is needed or not needed.  I used the printed document name to justify not replacing a $5000 color laser printer. because they printed personal stuff more than business.
This process worked great until I installed Windows Server 2012, and I have tested this on Windows 8 and have the same result. (I only care about the server though.  ;) )
    In the event log: Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Operational
In server 2003, event 10: Had printed document name
Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2: Had printed document name.
Why is this no longer there, or was this an oversight?
I asked this at TechEd and there was not a Microsoft person there who could answer my question and they referred me to the forums.  Can someone tell me what I can do to turn this on, was this an oversight, bug, etc.

    Hi,
What are the models of your printers?
I would like to confirm that have you update the printer drivers from the printer manufacturer for Windows Server 2012?
In addition, if you have Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 in the same envirment? If so, you may try to get the event information from the previous operating system.

  • NW BPM start event not calling

    Hi Experts,
I have deployed below process instance with start event having message trigger - synchronous service interface.
While testing from soapUI it gives error like:
    <SOAP:Fault>
             <faultcode>SOAP:Server</faultcode>
             <faultstring>Server Error</faultstring>
             <detail>
<jpr:Fault xmlns:jpr="http://com.sap/aii/proxy/xiruntime/">com.sap.aii.proxy.xiruntime.core.ESPXISystemFaultException: Error encountered during processing of XI request message in inbound ESP; Hint: com.sap.engine.interfaces.webservices.runtime.RuntimeProcessException: Technical difficulties were experienced during process execution.</jpr:Fault>
             </detail>
          </SOAP:Fault>
I already searched SDN on the above error, but no clue.
So I am pasting complete logs from NWA:
    process()

    Hi Jocelyn,
    sorry for OT question.
I`m experiencing Transition exception a lot. But it Transition Exception caused by
Caused by: com.sap.glx.core.kernel.api.CancelTransitionException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Generator skipped on service 'cezdata.corp/wmsintegration/pr/pm/WMSIS019/WMSIS019_pool' operation 'SI_WMSIS019_In'
Let me explain the bug - I have developed application with cca 30 BPM processes. Each of them, of course, has Message Trigger.
But sometimes, that trigger just stops working and when I try to start a process, that exception is logged.
It is quite easy to repair - I have to delete original Message trigger and create a new one from exactly same wsdl - so formally nothing changes.
But it is really annoying, and my customer has grey hair out of that. It is unpredictable which process stops working because of that.
I`m on SAP PO 7.4 SP06 (AEX, BPM, BRM)
Dont you know what causes that problem and how to avoid it?
    Thank you
