Problem after deinstallation of JDK during SAP System running....

           I am working as a SAP BASIS trainee.I am facing some problem related with java and SAP System.
Actually an SAP System was already running on the my system and suddenly i required to work on eclips (an IDE for java). And to install eclips it required JDK 1.6 version.But as we know that for SAP System an JDK 1.4 version required only.
               I forgot and deinstalled JDK 1.4 and Installed JDK 1.6. and again tryied to installed eclips bt it was still throwing an error that it required JDK 1.6 and currently JDK 1.4 is running.
On the other hand SAP System was getting problem during SAP START ( dialog queue waiting time elapsed .......). and finally not working.
   I deinstalled JDK 1.6. now SAP System is working fine. It is getting started and everything is right.
Could i get any problem latter regarding to SAP Start??and why i cant use eclips on the same system??

You need to make sure that the SAP system uses the correct JDK. You can install two JDKs in parallel (don't upgrade but install the 1.6 JDK in a separate directory).
Anyway, NWDI should not be installed on the server but on a local workstation.

Problem in moving object from one SAP system to another....

Hi,
I have created a transport request in System A client 800.
I am trying to move the Transport request to System B client 900.
(Note: A and B are different SAP systems)
I first release the object going in system A client 800 using transaction se09.
Now I go to System B client 900 and then to transaction STMS. After this I click on display import queue for System A inside transaction STMS in System B. Then I go to EXTRAS ->Other Requests Add. The import queue name is defaulted by System A and then I add the Transport Request number. Then the system asks me to login in Sytem A client 800. I login successfully. But I get an error message:
"Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247
Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile"
Can someone tell me how to solve this error ? What is the issue ?

Problem after 10.6.6 update! MDS running from the start on activity monitor

Hello,
I have a iMac late 2009 and yesteday <unfortunately> I did the update 10.6.6! Before everything was working great cause I care the system with clean my iMac and other applications everyday and mostly I use recording programs like Pro Tools. After update the restart came and iMac's CPU was jumping at 20-30% without touching anything! I saw on Activity Monitor and <mds> was running! I want to ask what is that and how I can remove it and not running all the time. I close it from Activity Monitor every time the system starts but I want to remove it and don't see it as it wasn't before! After reading other topics, I did verify and repair permissions from Disk Utility and Mac Osx disc but mds starts when system boot.

This problem started happening to me on both my iMacs as well. I have a brand new 27" 3.06 Core2Duo which started to experience boot and shutdown problems after running the 10.6.6 update. My 21.5 3.06 Core2Duo (have had for just over a year) is suffering quite a bit more. I had noticed extremely sluggish behavior and many cases of the spinning wheel of lost hope. I run MenuMeters, so noticed a higher than usual CPU utilization - looking into Activity Monitor, mds was taking between 30% and 50% of my CPU.... ordinarily that shouldn't be a problem, but since that is Spotlight's indexer, I imagine there was IO contention. I plan on removing Bootcamp this weekend (don't really use it anymore thanks to Parallels 6).
Additionally, I have experienced horrible WiFi performance on both iMacs since updating. I have seen a few mentions on the Internet about this, but no real official acknowledgement. My icon in the Menubar indicates that the connection is still solid, however, I'm unable to resolve websites, etc. I assume that it is losing its connection momentarily to my router, and not reresolving with DHCP upon reconnect. This problem seems to be pretty repeatable when I use Fast User Switching... Anyone else having this problem? I have ruled out my router, as my Windows box and Linux laptops have zero issues. I hope Apple is resolving this issue -- making me eat my words when I told my wife that we HAD to go Mac since its so much more reliable!

Problems with HP Probook 6475b after swiching computer off during full system restore

Can anyone help?I have a problem with my HP Probook after it was accidently switched off during the running of an inbuilt recovery disc to restore the computer to its original instalation. When I switch it on now it goes straight to a message that says 'Windows is loading files' and after a short while comes up with a screen which says: Windows 7RECOVERY DISC***WARNING***You are about to erase your hard drive. click the greencheck box to proceed. Performing this action will restorethe computer back to it's original Windows installaltion there is the choice of three check boxes - one green with a tick, one red with a cross and one c:\ When I click the green box after about 5 seconds there is a dialogue box entitled ' Restore Error Message'and in the box it states Error 1, with a box to click that says 'ok' If I click the ok box it returns back to the same message that Windows is loading files and goes through the same loop.I cannot get past this point. If I click the c:\ box it goes to a black dialogue box which has the following: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]X=\windows\system32> If I put sfc/scannow the message is as follows: There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again Can anyone advise how I can get out of this 'Error 1' loop and complete the system restore?

I do have a backup of the files, but the biggest issues come with the computer shutting down. I try to save frequently, but it makes it very tedious when I have to wait for the computer to reload, relaunch photoshop and redo my work. These frequent interruptions are hurting my productivity.

CORBA problem after migration to JDK 1.5.0_05

I faced some errors with CORBA, after performing migration from JDK 1.4.1 to JDK 1.5.0_02
on Solaris 8 2/02 (SPARC version).
I've spend few days on digging in java.sun.com bug database and google archive,
but haven't found similar case.
The problem occurs in a web application launched on Tomcat 5.5.7, if JDK 1.5.0_02 is used and trying to connect with CORBA server.
If using JDK 1.4.1 the CORBA stuff works fine.
I isolated the problem code and found out, that Tomcat
can not cause the error, because i receive the same error while invoking test class from command line.
I use IOR file for obtaining the object reference and default JDK Orb.
The stacktrace(see below) goes through new package in JDK 1.5 com.sun.corba.se.impl.* and java.lang.Class which was
rewriten in JDK 1.5 in order to use generics. Is it possible that the bug lies somewhere in this classes?
I've already spent few days on searching cause of the bug, and found no clues.
Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a workaround?
Have you seen some similiar behavior associated with migration to JDK 1.5.0 ?
I'm running out of ideas, on debugging this stuff, any help or suggestion could be helpful.

Asian Language problem (###) after OS/DB Migration of SAP BW 3.5

    We have recently migrated our SAP BW 3.5 system form Windows to Linux OS and now we have some issue in the BEX. when we log in with Language EN in to bex and then run any report related to Japan/China (Asian) then the reports is showing #### in place of Asian characters.
   It is fine if we log in to Web reporting we have no issues.
Please provide me the solution asap I will give you full points

step1 -> as you said changed the language in system Regional setting to Japanese
step2 -> upgrade GUI to 710
step3 -> Go to GUI Options and check ON the "With Wizards"
step4 -> go to the GUI-> select the BW system on it -> click on change button
step5 -> go to 'code page tab' and then uncheck "Unicode off" and select the language from default to Japanese
Option 2 for GUI 640 or above)

Problems After Updating to JDK 1.6

I was having problems with 1.5 so I updated to 1.6. For most of my programs that have been run before with no problem I am getting this error when trying to run:
error: Class names, 'test1', are only accepted if annotation processing is explicitly requested
They compile fine but gave that error when running. Also, one of my other programs which ran fine is now showing 27 misc. errors. Thanks for any help on what is going on.

Interface and SAP system issue

Scenario : We have External system (Interface) and SAP system. GR usually done in External system for stock materials PO , then it will transfered and updated in SAP system thro IDOC daily bases.
And then in SAP ,Zreport is there to find out any discrepancy in stocks(Between Extrnl and SAP system).
Problem: They had done GR in external system and they had transferred to SAP throu IDOC. (This usually bieing processed for 1000 of materials.
Now for some materials its showing discrepancy error in Zreport eventhough the SAP system got updated on stocks throu IDOC from external system. ( Not for all materials only for very few case).
So any experts has come across this kind situation in thier experiance .. how to solve this ??
Note : If any Bacth job is being done in background in SAP after updation the stocks in SAP system throu IDOC. How to find out the batch job in back groud ???

I did't mention in previous message, IDOC got posted in SAP system perfectly without any error . (I have cross checked IDOC).
But after idoc posting in SAP system , the Zreport getting updated , so here is my confusion and doubt.
Where there can be any system in background to update stocks in Zreport from SAP system. Is it possible to find from our side batch job has being processed between standard SAP and Zreport .
There is any way to find ???

Problem exists throughout, both with generic and standard DataSources.
Here is one specific example:
Generic DataSource ZXXXXXXXX
InfoPackage "ZXXXXXXXX(ZXXXXXXXX)" does not run. Error:

Then followed these steps:
1. Replicate Metadata from source system
2. Report RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL from SE38 for source system SOURCESYS and DataSource ZXXXXXXXX

Just to help the folks out here.
In my case,
Inspite of going through several valid NOTES & program, my issue didnt resolve (you reply was pretty accurate - but dint help me :-)).
I have resolved the issue by adjusting the PSA table for the same.
Procedure:
Take the psa name --> go to table rstsods --> find the ODSNAME_TECH name for the relevant psa --> se38 t.code --> enter ODSNAME_TECH and click on 'adjust & activate database table' (make sure you have selected 'save data' radio button.
Just in case anyone who come across this problem, can do the above steps.

I am using sybase database on linux.on this system i have already TOW sap system running. now i want to create new SID with my production database backup. backup is .dmp which is sybase backup EHP7.
I planed system copy for this activity but i stuck on step "setup database server software" with some error.
i am copying last lines of my sapinst_dev.log files here
and also refer the attached screen for exact error..

I have seen relevant sap note.do you help me how i can see cache memory??
because my other SID sybase GUI is not opening due to The variable $SYBROOT is not set to a valid directory whicch is on same zone(system).
Is this matter if environmental variable not set even though my xclock is working??

SAP systems and Daylight savings for 2007

Hi,
We are discussing about the Daylight Saving time changes in USA for 2007 and its effect on SAP Systems.
"Beginning in 2007, most of the U.S. will begin Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and revert to standard time on the first Sunday in November."
Wondering, if we need to change any variable settings to take into effect? If so, could anyone give details on it.
Wondering if SAP systems time is getting sync with Database servers or O/S ?

Hi,
The beginning of daylight saving time is normally not a problem as the time will jump from 2:00 to 3:00, so seen from SAP that no problem. You will only have a 1 hour hole, as the system had nothing to do for one hour.
So there are no settings or so to maintain or change. Just let SAP system run...
But it is different when switching back to "normal" time, as there you will have the so called double hour, and even as SAP is working on a solution to this, it is still recommended to shut down the SAP system for this period.
(searching for the term "daylight saving time" in OSS should give you some notes explaining how SAP is handling it)
As i know SAP system is taking the time from OS, but you can se what time the SAP system has, by in the GUI menu to select the "system" => "Status"...
(In the Popup you can se it in upper right corner)

IDOC to File Port on Windows Server from Unix SAP System

Hi All:
I want to use an IDOC to create a text file on a Windows server. The SAP system runs on Unix. I have no problem creating the text file on the same Unix server running the SAP instance but I can not figure out how to write the file to a share or UNC path on a Windows server. I tried to create a logical file path using transaction FILE and then create a logical port in WE21. The IDOC failed because it is still looking on the Unix server to write the file. Any ideas from the community would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, there are probably lots of ways to skin this cat.
To make the process asynchronous you probably want to be along the lines of either updating a table or placing a file on the Windows machine, and then having a database process or Windows program to watch for the file or database table entry and triggering your bat file when it appears.
