Problem expanding contents of directories, PLEASE HELP

This problem is not just ITUNES specific, it seems to happen throughout the OS...whenever there is a directory with subcontents, for instance, in my podcast area of itunes...i will see a grey arrow next to the podcast, and by clicking that arrow, the individual podcasts will expand down and be visible. So, lets say i click on the arrow and expand the directory, if i just click on the arrow again to collapse it again, it wont do anything. The only way i can get it to collapse is to click somewhere else to highlight something else and then go back and click on the arrow ...then and ONLY then will it collapse, but not before i click somewhere else.
This problem also seems to happen in the finder. Is there somekind of system preference setting to modify this or something, because it is extremely frustrating as i work with many podcasts and having this trouble with something as simple as expanding and collapsing directories is maddening. Any feedback or help would be so very much appreciated.

Roger, I am running Tiger (Mac OS 10.4.11), and was syncing iCal perfectly fine with MobileMe for years. When incident ocurred, I restored all calendars. But as you mentioned when using Leopard, the automatic sync feature deleted all restored calendars. I had the same exact issue - even using Tiger.
John, iCal won't even open any more without locking up entire computer. So, I'm unable to add new events.
Arelunde, none of my calendars were listed in the left pane to check or uncheck the boxes. They all just disappeared, everything was blank. That was when I could still open it...
Ultimately ended up at the Genius Bar, and Apple no longer supports this iBook G4. The Genius tried to help me anyway, but couldn't do anything to salvage iCal for local use only (without syncing), because the program locked up the computer when trying to open it. All lost accounts in Mail have to be added back in manually. No explanation for disappearance of accounts (I use a few Comcast email addresses), or total deletion of Sent Folder contents. I do not intend on upgrading this computer again to Leopard. I have been told the OS upgrade is not all that compatible, nor worth the effort. So it is time for a new computer.
Lesson learned is that the computer is no longer a local-use-only type of device with selective syncing, which is how I was using it as such (and completely content with) in the past. Apparently, syncing has become automatic if you use anything on the Apple servers. Unless, I'm missing something, everything you have will sync now, whether or not you want it to.
But, my thanks and gratitude for all of your replies. I guess nearly 8 years of use is a good run for this one!

Questions:
1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:

Ensure all the devices in use are fully up to date: Apple > Software Update / Settings > General > Software Update
Make separate backups of critical data:

You can transfer the standard SRM catalog ID field to R/3 tracking number field (if not already used for another purpose) in the R/3 PO.
This will avoid to implement the R/3 inbound bapi.
Here is an extract of the code.
The ECS PO badi example was here used to transfer the unlimited delivery flag to R/3 PO for a Z combination of criteria as well as the transfer of <b>catalog ID</b> to <b>tracking number field</b> in R/3 PO :

Had the same problem and the same message -- was suddenly unable to access icloud apps on my pc, also using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. After several days of pulling my hair out, decided to try a different browser and was able to get in by using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.

I spent 3 hours this morning reading the forum on how to display an Excel file in the browser using JSP and I apologize in advance if the answer is in the forum.
I cut and paste many examples: My goal is to display an excel file on the browser.
Below is the code but the result is a disaster (please se after the code the result).
My question is how can I display an excel file using the browser. What's wrong with my code. Apparently it worked for many people on the forum.
Please help. I must do that by tomorrow and I had spent already so many hours.

Unless those people were standing in line to buy a Toshiba product cash in hand, and you pulled them out, it really doesn't add up for them.
At this point it would probably be better for you to use the 800 number. Have all your e-mails ready to forward, if needed, to whoever you end up talking to. Don;t let them off the hook. An hour on the phone is much better than weeks passing e-mails through a support site. Also contest the charge with your bank or credit card.

"invalid content in journal" - please help!

I was trying to install a USB wi-fi dongle. While doing this, I got spinning wheel and eventually I restarted from power button as couldn't even force quit.
Then Mac wouldn't start up.
I ran disk repair from install disk. It said all was OK, but when I ran verify disk is said "invalid content in journal". Ran repair again, said it was OK, but verify gave same response.
I tried adding code in Terminal as per another post on here
/System/Library/Filesystems/hfs.fs/hfs.util -N /dev/IDENTIFIER
but got message about no such disk.
Any ideas? I now can't start my laptop!
I'm running 10.6.4 on a 2009 MacBook Pro 13in.
Please help!
