Problem Export/Encodind Premier Pro 2014 and MediaEncoder

Good afternoon.
Faced with such a problem.
After updating to version 2014 Premier, MediaEnsoder began to issue an error on export. Black stripe on export or convert your files into MXF format 1080i.
How to avoid it and what to do?

So I use the following instructions posted by BobanskyBH and it seems to have worked perfectly!
In the finder menu click and hold on the GO menu.
Hold the option button and the User library menu will show up.
Click the User Library.
In that folder go to preferences and find the adobe folder.
Right click on adobe folder and click get info.
In the Sharing & Permissions section there should be three names. All should say Read & Write next to them.
Unlock the lock, switch them all to read and write. Then click on the little gear directly under the names or to to the left of the lock and in the pulldown click on "apply to enclosed items. Then lock the lock again.
Now go to your OS Hardrive and click on Users, your user name, Documents.
Find the adobe folder there.
The lock the lock again.
Wait 1 minute.

  • Premier Pro 2014 will not launch

I've downloaded Premier Pro 2014 and tried to launch it, but it freezes every time and won't even force quit. I have to hard crash the whole computer to get out of it.
I've tried reinstalling, setting the permissions to read/write in the Adobe folder in the library, and tried to reset the preferences on launch as described here. But nothing works.
Also I'm having basically the same problem with After Effects 2014.
I think it has something to do with Media Core, but I can't figure out how to remedy. Earlier versions of PP CC and AEP CC are both working fine. Just these new versions will not launch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Computer is a MacPro, 2.93 Ghz Quad-Core with 10GB of RAM.
    Thanks!

    It's working! Yay!
Strangely, there is no 8.0 folder in the Plug-ins folder. So I pulled the plugins out of the 7.0>MediaCore folder and then was able to launch PP 2014. After getting it running. I quit PP and dragged the plug-ins back into the 7.0>MediaCore folder and was able to launch PP 2014. And this time it launched with all the plug-ins.
I was also able now to launch After Effects CC 2014 with all its plug-ins working.
Is it possible there's a different file structure for PP 2014 Plug-ins?
Anyway it's working. Thanks for your help.

  • Premier Pro 2014 is very sluggish

I installed Premier Pro 2014 last week and since then it's been running very slowly with frequent crashes. I have been using Premier Pro CC on a daily basis since it was first released
and hardly ever had a problem with it. Very frustrated and disappointed with this latest release - so have now decided to go back to to the more reliable Premier Pro CC.
I am hoping that this is a teething problem with Premier Pro 2014 - and that soon an update will be released that will make it just as stable as Premier Pro has proven to be.

  • Premier Pro CC and Media Encoder crashing on long file export.

Please forgive the length of this inquiry. But it is complicated and has a lot of variables.
I have an hour long mixed format timeline both Red 3K footage and Black Magic ProRes 1080P footage that I want to make a DVD from and it takes forever and crashes half way through. I have tried doing it every way possible and the only way I was able to get even a partial export was using the "MPEG 2 DVD" export option in Premier CC. It goes fast at first telling me it will take about 2 hours but even though it starts quickly doing about 15 fps it slows down to less than 1 fps and finally just stops and crashes my Cuda Core enabled Macbook Pro Laptop.
I really don't know who to ask about this since there are so many different variables. I never had a problem like this on my MBP with PP6 on a 4K timeline exporting to DVD or Blue Ray or to H-264 or Even Prores. But I wasn't mixing formats either. But on this project the first 20-30 minutes of footage goes through fine in a couple of hours but something seems to be bogging down the system on longer projects. My work around was to break the project up into multiple exports and combining them on the DVD timeline but I can't do this on every project. I thought maybe it was a corrupted clip somewhere in the timeline but when I broke the timeline up into several parts I had no problems.
I did notice a dramatic variance in the time it took to export footage based on the sequence settings. A one minute timeline comprised Red 3K footage and ProRes 1080P footage Here are some sample export results:
From a Red raw 3K timeline 2880x1620  with 1080P Prores footage upscaled 150%)
    to .m2v Mpeg 2 720x480 format    1:48 Minutes ***
    to .mov  Prores 422HQ  1080P                         22 Minutes
    to .mov H.264  1080P                    22 Minutes
    to .m2v Mpeg 2 1080P                                                22 Minutes
From a 1080P timeline Prores footage at 100%  (Red footage downscaled to 67%)
    to .m2v Mpeg 2 720x480 format                         13 Minutes
    to .mov  Prores 422HQ 1080P                             13 Minutes
    to .mov H.264  1080P                                                             14 Minutes
    to .m2v Mpeg 2 1080P                                                            14 Minutes
Since I am going to DVD,  I chose the fastest option  Red to m2v Mpeg 2 720x480 format which only took 1:48 per minute. Why? I have no idea. Maybe someone here knows the answer. But again these numbers are for a ONE MINUTE clip when I tried to convert the whole hour timeline to  the 720x480.m2v DVD File the Red timeline froze my computer after several hours even though I had set sleep mode to “Never” and turned the display off manually and I had to convert it in multiple chunks. In 20-30 minute chunks it did go fast about 1:48 per minute like the test indicated. But I would like to be able to convert the whole hour and not to have to try to stitch the clips together in my DVD authoring program.
I don’t want to have to avoid using multiple formats on the same timeline or waste time transcoding everything to the same format.
Can anyone give me any suggestions as to why the computer is crashing or bogging down in long exports and what timeline settings I should be using?
I have plenty of room on my Scratch Disk and 8 Gig of RAM and according to my Activity Monitor during the export process  have about 800 Meg of System Memory during export but the CPU Usage is 98% and in my Activity Monitor I see under “Process Name” ImporterRedServer flashing up at the top of the list about every second during export.
Why .720x480 mpeg DVD setting is so much faster than all the other export codecs?
And if there are any other settings I can use to get higher speed exports in HD? 14x1 seems a little slow especially since every time it crashes I have to start over.

    Hi,
Since a long time I did not encounter the crash of Media encoder with
    long file export.
But I take care of a lot of details before the export :
    - clean up Media cache and Media Cache Files within PP CS6 and/or CC,
    - delete all render files with Preview Files,
    - rendering of sequences until the rendering is completed,
    - PP CS6 and/or Pp CC opened during export to AME and/or Encore CS6,
I guessed to leave Adobe but this company remains the last with a
serious authoring software (Encore CS 6).
    I tested :
    - Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro X, both are very good software but
no really authoring software for these video editing softs.
Th only way is to "flood" Adobe with "bug reports" and "wish forms"
which are not very easy to use.
And also to call the Adobe support day by day until they send they
    escalate the bug.

  • After exporting in Premier Pro CS6 my text flickers in the video

After exporting in Premier Pro CS6 my text flickers in the video, how do I fix it?

I have the exact same problem, but I'm actually using CC. I don't have an option for "match source high bitrate." Is anyone responding to forum questions out there?

  • Colour correction for H.264/YouTube export from premier pro cc, help.

Hi, I am just finishing up a project that I put together in Premier Pro CC and SpeedGrade. I did a little test export, as it's for YouTube I used H.264. On looking at it afterwards it looked washed out with the blacks losing there depth, the saturation dropping and a loss of contrast. I tried checking on a few monitors and then tried uploading a piece to YouTube and it looks the same across the monitors and the same on YouTube this washed out drab change. So I tried reimporting the export back into Premier Pro and it looks fine in Premier Pro and SpeedGrade. I can go back and push my blacks and whites but it'll have to beyond 0 and 100 to get my contrast back and it feels wrong using the scopes like this. Dose anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Yes that's how I'm working. In Premier Pro CC and using the direct link to SpeedGrade then back to Premier Pro and exporting from there. I'm not sure you even can export from SG if you use the direct link from PP. I'm unsure now if it's the H.264 to blame, I tried a few other's and they also look washed out. At present I'm having to go over my old grade, that took days, adding more contrast and saturation seeing if I can get an acceptable image when I export.
I have tried AVI uncompressed, a few flavours of H.264 including some of the pre set ones like the YouTube ones and some image sequence's. The JPEG sequence was fine, same colours and contrast as within Adobe but all the H.264 and the AVI were washed out no matter what setting I put them on.
In the picture below you can see from the left first a waveform then the image in SpeedGrade with the scopes showing the blacks well below 0, next the same image back in PremierPro, then the exported H.246 file.
    and here are the settings.

  • Premier pro vs premier pro (2014)

What is the difference between the PREMIER PRO vs PREMIER PRO (2014).    I try to stay updated on my Mac with CC and now have what appears to be duplicate applications, i.e. a regular CC version of the apps and a (2014) version.   I don't understand.

Premiere CC and Premiere 2014 are two seperate programs. They are not duplicates.
Premiere 2014 is and update or upgrade whatever you want to call it of Premiere CC with all new features.

how to import 4k cinema dng on premier pro 2014 ?

    Wow.  Thanks Colin.
When I follow your approach, I don't get the same "sequence preset" dialog box popping up.
FU question, though, the motion is frequently jagged.  Is there a way to smooth out/increase the quality of the rendering?    I have 16gb ram, Mac Pro.   which is able to handle iPhone video rending fine in quicktime.   (I've tried rendering for "performance" and "memory" but both seem to produce, eh results.).

  • Does Adobe Premier Pro CS6 and After Effects CS6 support the graphic found in the new late 2012 27" iMac?

Hi there guys! I´m very, very, VERY close to buy a full configuration iMac (the late 2012 27" model) but I have reed in different forums that Adobe Premier Pro CS6 and other applications from Adobe such as After Effects DO NOT support the graphic cards found in the new iMacs....

I hope this rumor is not real..... then I can be just... really happy and get my new desktop computer and work, work, work, work
    thanks for your attention

Hi there Daniel, thanks for paying attention to this subject. Today I got an answer from Larry Jordan from his blog (I believe he is one of the "videoguys" from http://videoguys.com and he said that actually adobe does not support those GPU that we will find in the new late 2012 iMacs. However it seems there is a way to make that work out.....
here is his review on his new iMac, at the very botton you will see comments from people and his answers... one of the last coments is mine regarding this subject, this is what I asked and his answer:
mGabo Jan 18, 2013 08:50Hi there Larry, I reed in your other post on your iMac that Adobe didn´t support the Nvidia graphic cards found in this model, I have been asking in forums about this and people say Adobe does supports them……Do you know if Adobe now works fine with these cards?
Larry Jan 18, 2013 11:10When I contacted Adobe about this a couple months ago, just after the release of the new iMacs, I was told that Adobe did not support the graphics card at that time. There is, however, a workaround, which I’m hoping to write up this weekend.Larry

  • Premier Pro CS6 and MOD files.

I am thinking of getting Premier Pro CS6 and wonder if it will work with MOD files. My Panasonic camcorder records in MOD format.  I notice that my Media Encoder 5.5 won't work with MOD file so I don't want to spend $$$$ on Premier Pro only to find out it doesn't work tih MOD files either.
    Thanks

Premiere Pro does not support mod files.
Some are lucky by just changing the extention.
    Others have to convert:

However Premiere Elements does support mod files.

  • Adobe Premier Pro 2014.1 will not download

I have 4 identical MacPros. RAM, processors, video cards are all identical.
When I ran the update from the Creative Cloud app, all computers updated to 2014.1, except 1 machine. it still had the previous version of Premier Pro.
Thinking that it may be an ID, or preference thing, I completely uninstalled all apps using the Creative Cloud app, and then ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool to find any left overs.
I restarted the machine, then reinstalled Creative Cloud app, and then used it to download Premier Pro, and it still downloaded the previous version!
I then completely wiped the machine, did a clean install of the OS, Downloaded an installed CC app, then downloaded Premier Pro, and again it downloaded the previous version!!
I know there is probably a very simple answer to this problem I'm having, I hope. I need all 4 machines running the same flavor of Premier Pro. Any Ideas?

  • Premier Pro CS6 and Encore

I am new to Premier Pro and I am using CS6 downloaded on a monthly basis.
I shot footage using Canon 60D and Sony EX3.  All has gone very well up to yesterday.  All the editing was Ok and everything in order.  Then I found I could not export to Mpeg 2 DVD  so downloaded the latest update and that fixed that issue.  I then exported 1 minute of footage which was the 60D footage as a test. All OK.  No work carried out in encore at this point.
At some point later I looked at the timeline in premier pro and noticed that all the Sony footage was now red with the project window saying media off line.  In the source monitor I cannot see any of the composite video and this is greyed out on the menu and I only see the waveform.  The video seems to have disappeared but if I check the info on each clip it still seems to be there as each clips indicated it is 3 - 4 GB.
So.... I need to know what has happened and how I rectify this problem.  I am obviously worried that my source material has gone but my rational head tells me it will be somewhere.
I have tried a totally new project and have the same issue.
    Somebody help please?

I think I first need to be able to confirm my raw footage on the external
    hard drive is still good.
OK, the Source Footage is on an external HDD.
Are you on a Mac, or PC?
If you are on a PC, is the drive letter assigned to that external HDD, by the OS, the exact same, as when you Imported the footage?
For some tips on using external HDD's, this article might be useful: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4542396#4542396
