Problem facing Transport of function group...

Hi,
I am trying to import function group from Development to Quality but I am facing problems.
The Main program (Function pool) associated with Function group gets transported but not the function group.
To transport Function group , I am going to se80 -> Edit object -> Function group name. Then it asks me for transport request.
Now this new transport reuqest consists of function group texts and report name.
After this transport request is released and moved to Q40, I find that only main program of function gorup is actually transported and not the function group.
Please help me.

Please do the following steps to include your Function group into transport request,
1) Go to SE09 and place the cursor on your request
2) Go to 1st Menu option, Then to the option "Include Object" --> Freely selected objects
3) There you select the option "Freely selected objects"
4) For type "FUGR", give your function group name and then execute.
5) Now Select the option "Save in Request".

Error while transporting a Function Group!

We have created many function modules in a single function group. While we are trying to transport the function group we succeeded in releasing the function group from the development server to the quality system. But while we are trying to import the same function group from the quality system, it is throwing an error 'FUNCTION GROUP NOT FIT IN SIZE'. what might be the reason for this behaviour and what would be the remedy? Please help this out and points would be awareded for the solutions.

Hi,
just an hint (i don't know if it will help u).
Try in se37 trx , menu "Utilities", shoul be "Repair function group" (o something like that).
Sometimes u have to do also with standard FM.
In second step, use unconditional mode -126 in your transport (call to your system admin ho to do that).

Transporting a Function Group

Hi All,
I created a new function group and few function modules within it. Function group is attached to one transport request. But for some reasons I want to transport it with some different transport request. So I deleted it from original request.
But now when I am trying to activate the Function Group, It is not attaching the associated function modules and includes within the function group to new transport request. It is only attaching Function group Text and Main program to transport.
Please let me know the way by which I can attach complete function group its related function modules and includes to one transport.

How to transport Authorize Function Group for a table

Hi, Expert,
I created a customize table ZF304 with Authorization Group ZFIG in development environment.   Somehow, the ZFIG did not transprot to QA. The Authorization Group for table ZF034 in QA show: &NC&
I need retransport the ZF304 table with ZFIG to QA.   When I use the SE54 > Utilities > Total Transport, the ZFIG did not show in the object list.
Is it necessay that the ZFIG need specific in the transport? or it is already include int eh ZF304 transport?
In other word, how to make the QA Authorization Group show 'ZFIG' in stead of '&NC&'. How to do the transport in RD0 to make this happen.

Check if you have an entry in the transport request as depicted below:
Definition of a Maintenance and Transport Object     R3TR     TOBJ     ZF304       Object Locked
If not then please add it in your task.

Hello all any one can tell me How to set columns and rows of a Group above to report to export to excel.
I have a group above report but when i export it to excel the Columns and rows are out of order.Tell me what type of sequence should apply on columns and rows?????????

RegardsI'm guessing you're not referring to SQL and PL/SQL then.
Oracle doesn't have a built in procedure for exporting to Excel, so how the data is being ordered is going to depend on the code in that procedure and whoever wrote it. If you need more assistance you need to give us more details of what it's doing.

Regarding Transport Of the Function group

I am Facing problem while transporting the Transport Request Number From SAP 4.7 to SAP ECC5.0. The Transport is Working Fine. I am able to transport the Package, But all the object in the package except Function Group is Not getting transport.
So Please Let me Know any other method is there to transport the Function Group.

Check your transport, it should contain an entry for
R3TR - DEVC - 'your package name'
This should tranport the whole package including all the objects,

Transport Function Group

Hi,
I created a new function group and assigned a function module to it. I transported the function group and function module (available in 1 request) from Dev to QA with no warnings/errors. In QA, i went to SE37, typed my FM name and tried to goto function group using the goto menu option, it says function group does not exist. It prompts for creating a function group.
In dev, when i tried to save the function group to a request, this entrry was saved in the request/task.
Function Group Texts - LIMU - FUGT - ZSLS_FGRP
I don't have any specific entry for function group in the request. Is there a way to capture function group entry in the request.

Hi,
When u create a new function group and assign the function module for the first time, you can see only the function group name in Transport Request but the function module name will not get displayed.
Check the entries of object in to ensure the function group has been assigned to the request in Transport Request.
If you are creating other Function modules after first transport you can find the function modules names also in transport request.

Performance problem with Function Group

Hi All,
when we call a FM .. all the function modules which are present in that function group will be copied into the Main memory .
so how to solve the performance problems that occur..

you should analyse your problem more carefully before asking:
+ you can have performance problems related to the execution of function modules.
+ you can also have memory related performance problems by loading huge function groups (non standard).
The fix for the second are smaller and welldefined function groups.
The solutions for the second are constantly discussed here.

Function module not in Function group after transport

We have a function group ZPCAD with three function modules in it. I added two function modules. When they were transported, the function group in the target client did not show the function modules
I found the program in SE80 Repository info System. when I opened the Module got a message about funtion group being damaged.
Since then, we have:
transported the modules again. that did not help
transported the Function group, that did not help
Transport all function modules (old and new), that did not help.
I went to SE37, opened the module and pressed Control, Shift, F5. The function group ZPCAD was opened indicating the module is part of the group. However, the new function modules still were not listed in the group.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Some time function modules will not be displayed in function group in target systems.
Goto SE80
Select the function group from the list box and search for the function group.
Right click on the functio group and select "Other Functions" and "Rebuild Object List" from the sub menu of "Other Functions".
After doing all these, function modules will be displayed in function group.

Transport request for function group

Hi All,
I have developed a function module in a function group say 'zdeep'. I have moved the transport request for newly developed function module to production. But there Iam unable to run the function module.
Should we transport the function group also to production?
If so, how can we get the transport request number for the function group?
I have tried in se80. but there iam not able to track the request no for the function group.

yes i think if u r doing any chnages in func group then it also has to be moved to Reflect chnages..also some proper order is to be maintained while moving TR

Function Moudule not showing under the Function Group in SE80

Hi guys
I transported a couple of newly developed Function Modules to the R3Q ( Quality System) under an exsitng Function Group. the FM are all transported perfectly and the report is also working but in SE80 where u can see a function group and all its related objects i dont see the name of my newly developed FM. Why is that?
I tried transporting my Function Group etc.. but still i am not able to see my new FM's.
When i go to my FM's attributes tab, it shows its under the right function Group. but only in SE80 its not showing up.
Any ideas y ?

Are you sure you haven't dont release second or more requests for FG?
If you have more requests, your FG may hasn't be last FM list.
Yo can check below include in SAPLZ<FG> function pool.
INCLUDE LZ<FG>UXX. " Function Modules

Im involved in a migration project from GTS to ECC server where i have problem while creating a function group, when am creating a same include LZFR1T00 in ECC server am getting an error *'Program names L... are reserved for function group includes' Please help.

I'm not sure what GTS is, but I guess you'll need to go to SE80 and create a function group (Z...). SAP will automatically generate the include with the L... name.

Question about Function group

Hi All,
I have to transport a function module from development to next environment. The function group has around 9 function modules among them i have edited one and assigned to a transport request. Do I have to include function group also in the transport along with the function module? pls suggest, in which scenarios we have to transport function group along with function module?

Hi Suresh,
You dont need to transport the Function Group. You would transport it only if the FG is not available in another system or if there is any change in the main program of the FG.
If you create a New Function Module and attach the FM to this FG, then an include gets automatically added to the main program. In this scenario you may need to transport all.

Transport for deletion group module

Hi
I try to delete FM from another system by transport task but this delete only some parts of this.
When I put transport then function group is deleted bu FM is stille exists and after click show me error in group module.
How to complete delete this. Can I try to create some own transport task deletion manually?

I believe you're not deleting the FM structure - or any other FM object, only the Function Group (R3TR FUGR - Function Group)
To make sure you've deleted everything related to that FM, include the following objects on the request:
LIMU FUGT     Function Group Texts (if applicable)
LIMU       FUNC     Function Module
R3TR FUGR     Function Group
R3TR FUGS     Function Group with Customer Include: SAP Part (if applicable)
R3TR FUGX     Function Group with Customer Include: Customer Part (if applicable)

That function run properly in development client, after that I asked to my basis team to transport it to QA client. In QA client, the function did not exist. I couldn't find the function name in table T52A0 and T52B5 but my function was listed in table T52BW.

Hi,
The above reason can happen bcoz of non-sequential move of requests that u might have created for function.
Now, Try this T.Code - SCC1, this T.Code is used to copy request from different clients. I would suggest u not to use this T.Code and rather ask ur BASIS person to use this T.Code and copy the request again to ur desired client.
