Certain cards can be buggy on any platform.
Sandisk seems to offer mac drivers to fix these sorts of issues.  See if it applies to your model.

Cannot transfer photos and videos from sandisk micro memory card reader to i photo in mac book pro.  The photos were taken on my samsung phone.  The chip was then placed in the sandisk and plugged into laptop.  They appear in finder window but I don't know how to get them into i photo.

Select one file and type Command+A (Select All) to select all at one time.

  • Problem with Access of memory card and internal storage after update

    Hej,
I cant save anything on intern or extern memory.
Was about to write some file into a folder belonging to some application.
Made this with a copy from external to internal memory alst friday without any problem. But I even could not save a file on the memory card, memory ist locked.
All this is new after some SW Update last  Saturday.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Did you use the preinstalled app "File Commander" when you tried this or a 3:rd party file manager? Due to new restrictions for the external SD card in Android 4.4 you need to use the preinstalled file manager or use a computer to write to any folder on the external SD.

  • Re: 8GB Verbatim Micro SDHC card recognized as 1GB Micro SDHC Card

    Dear All,
A brandnew VERBATIM 8GB Micro SDHC Card is only recognized as 1GB in my T130 / WIN 7 - funny enough: A brandnew SANDISC 8G SDHC Card is recognized as 8GB
Anything I can do here to use the VERBATIM Card ?
    Any Feedback is much appreciated
    Ciao Gerhard

Where did you buy that 8GB SD Card? Are you sure it's genuine?
If you got it from eBay or similar, it may be a fake SD Card that is physically 1GB but reformatted and re-badged as 8GB.

  • Problems formatting 4MB SD Memory Card with Nokia ...

I have tried formatting a 4MB SD Memmory Card twice to no avail. It keeps reading card corrupted. I havea 4MB Nokia E61 and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.
Is the 4MB disk too much? Please advise.

Nokia phones have yet to support memory cards above 2Gigs (I presume you meant a 4Gig card)and some dont support more than 1Gig (E61 should be 2Gig but only certain manufacturers cards work with Nokia phones.

  • N82 Battery problem when using Micro SD card

My N82 normally will last a couple of days on full charge however when I have my microSD card inserted the battery life reduces to about 4 hours.   It is a type 2 sandisk card, can anyone help with this?

how do I tell if there is a program running?  Is there a simple way to check what is running at anytime?Hi padd
Just hold down the Menu button to see if any applications running.
It might be an idea to upgrade the firmware with Nokia Software Updater as that version on your N82 is original one upon release, but if network branded device may be limited.

  • BB Locks up when I transfer photo images to the Micro SD Card

Any one have any idea why my 8330 with 1GB micro SD card locks up when I transfer photo images to the card?
They are 1.25 MB JPG files.  I tried transferring to the card directly and transferring to the card via Roxio.  Roxio asked if I want to convert.... I agreed to convert the files, but the BB still locks up.  I only had this BB for about 5 days and I have already found several thing I really don't like.  This is the top of the list, second is streaming music won't use Stereo Bluetooth headphones and the Navigation App won't use headphones at all and the GPS App, doesn't work consistently in a vehicle (what's up with that, where else would I want to use it?).

I would put my money on the memory card being defective. The fact that you verified that the one file that the device
(regurgitated) was not corrupt. If you transferred it from the PC DIRECTLY to the media card as you say,
the Blackberry wasn't involved except as a port.
Try this; remove the media card put it on the reader and load the images. If the same this happens it's not related to the Blackberry as it isn't even in the equation.
I would try reformatting the card, and making sure the following options are set on your BB.
Go to OPTIONS _MEDIA CARD_  enable all options except for ENCRYPTION MODE make sure that is none.
Verify that the total space shown on the bottom of the screen reflects the amount of memory on the media card,
Allowing for formatting space) ex. On my 8gb card I shoe 7.6gb available.
If the problem reoccurs it would make sense it's the media card.
Can't have to much practice at field stripping your device right?  (USAR 70 )

  • SDHC Memory cards

Simple question, can the Nokia 6300 handle a 4GB micro SDHC memory card? I'm currently using a 1GB micro SD card without problem.
If not can it be resolved with a software upgrade to the phone and is this likely to be available in the near future? The phone reckons it is on the most up-to-date software currently available.

    Exactly.
Further explanations on the difference between SD and SDHC are to be found on this page.
The sections particularly relevant to your case are listed points 1, 3 and 4, and the 2nd and 3rd Q/A on that page.

  • Memory Card Not Accessible

I have been using a 1GB Micro SD Card from Kingston on my Nokia 5200 phone for last about 5 months and suddenly the card became inaccessible and no longer show up in Gallery on anywhere else. I checked the Card on another phone and all the files are accessible there. I checked the card on my PC using the Host Adaptor and all the files are accessible there also. So, seems like there is nothing wrong with the Memory Card. The Phone although working without any other problem suddenly has stopped dectecting the memory card. Can anyone suggest, what can be the reasons and anything I can try before finally taking it to Nokia Service Center for repair.

I've been having the same problem too with my 2gb card for my N73.
I haven't updated any software or anything as 3 keep telling me i have the latest version.
I have had the card since i got the phone in April, and all was ok until a couple of months ago.
I just keep getting the message 'Unsafe to remove Memory Card without selecting remove Memory card'It happens at random times, mostly when i unlock the keypad, but sometimes it will just happen on it's own!
Someone please help, i think i'm going crazy!!!

  • New Nokia 3120 and memory card

    Hi there.
Yasterday I upgraded my old motorola to a brand new Nokia 3120.
In my Motorola I used the "Sandisk 1GB microSD" memory card, so I tried to put it now in my new Nokia.
I followed the instructions and put it in sucessfuly (I think), but I have no idea how I define the memory card to be the
    phone's main memory source.
I tried to change the camera output folder to "Memory card" but it kept changing it back to "Phone memory".
Does anyone knows what's going on here?
    Thanks!

Thats fine it works on your friend's moto after inserting that same card onto your nokia device are you able to access the content in it , are you able to install applications onto that card or you are facing the problem only when using the camera application which is reluctant to save your photos onto memory card one more thing you have to find out is the device capable of storing photos on memory card from camera application(check in the user guide)

  • N73 automatically ejects memory card

My N73 is the Hong Kong IE version and I bought it in January. The problem is that the memory card just randomly removes itself during normal usage, once i even noticed that everytime I press the '3' key it just removes itself. Is anyone else experiancing this? Also when you select 'remove memory card' in the options menu, is the card information i.e space left, card size etc suppose to dissapear? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't on mine.Since then I have had to replace the motherboard 3 times and also the memory card. What is the problem? Maybe the wires connecting the motherboard to the keyboard are damaged?

This sounds like a hardware fault - I know of no software which does this.
One thing you can try is to eliminate the software problem (if it is that) is to reset the phone using the instructions you can find in this post :
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=4007
However please be aware that doing so will wipe ALL the data from your phone such as information in your calendar, contacts and so on.
In order to save your data you can use the PC Suite application to save and restore the data from your phone - this software can be found here :
    http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
If this doesn't work then it's likely you have a hardware fault and you should approach your local Nokia Service Centre to get your phone fixed.
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know how you get on.
    Regards,
    Edward
