I want to change the Service order(TCODE-IW32) Using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.But i don't know what are all the
Parameters needs to be passed.I want to chnage the COMPONENT of the Service Order.Please anyone tell me what all are the
mandatory parameters should be passed to change the COMPONENT of the Service Order.If anyone has the code Please send me.
It is very Urgent Kindly help me to Solve this problem.

Which view in service order are you referring to? Normally there will be two seperate inbound plugs in the window level e.g. IP_CREATE and IP_EDIT that displays the same edit view.
One way will be to set a flag in either of the inbound plugs for you to identity in the corresponding view whether it is a edit scenerio or a create scenerio. Depending on this flag value, you can proceed to disable fields selectively (may be in do_prepare_output method).

Problem with changing the Standard Price using MR21

I'm upgrading the system from 4.6C to ECC6.
Upgrading the Standard Price works normally in 4.6C. However, in ECC6, I notice that the data saved to CDPOS table is wrongly formatted. Therefore the other programs fail to read from this table.
Standard price is supposed to be right-justified. But it not like that in ECC6.
Can anyone tell me we should I look into to control the process of saving the data to CDPOS?

The link doesn't seem to help resolving my problem.
The changes is saved into CDPOS in the field Value_New (CHARACTER 254) in the way that the actual data can be retrieved by:
value_new+238
But any update to the standard price using MR21 now result in the value of Value_New that require:
value_new+7
to get the actual data.
Further more, in the old system, the standard price value in the decimal form like: "55.66" will be save to VALUE_NEW as "5566". So to get the real value, the system need to devide the value by 100 to get the actual new price.
In the ECC6 system, it is exactly the same as what we input: "55.66".
My question is: Is there an user exit, BADI or any way that can interfere the process of saving the data to CDPOS so that I can ensure the new Price will be save as "5566" and can be extracted using VALUE_NEW+238?

Date Error on the Service Order while using service product

Hi PM experts,
I am working on the scenario resource-related billing, using service product in the service order created from a service notification linked to a contract with service product as the line item. service product is the material of DIEN material type.
when i was trying to save the service order created using transaction code-IW31, i am getting the Error Message:
" *SYS:Date 00.00.0000 not expected*".
This error started only yesterday, and it was not there before. Basis team has confirmed that they have not done any new
updates to the system.
Had anyone encounered this problem before, if yes kindly let me know the solution and the steps to resolve it.

As an update to this thread, while searching for the reasons for the problem, i found that the characteristics used in the
warranty class were carrying default date value as 00.00.0000. can this be a reason for getting this error as the service
product number which is a DIEN material type is linked to the master warranty which is in turn assigned to the equipment.

How to create Service Order using bapi BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN

I want to create the Service Order with multiple Operations & Components.
I am using this bapi BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
But this BAPI creates the service order with only one Operation at a time. Can multiple operations be created using this bapi.
If not could any one please guide to use this or other BAPI to create Service Order with multiple Operations & Components?

Read the Documentation of the BAPI.
Operations and Components are table parameters, you can pass multiple data. did you check that....

Can you tell me how to delete the service order which was created in IW31..? or we have any Functions Module to delete the service order?
and one more question is I have more than 100 service order in the table ,but it will display only 50 order when i execute this Functions Module BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST

This is what the BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST documentation says
"You can use this method to determine a list of orders according to a list of selection criteria. The number of hits that are produced for the person calling up the list, can be specifically reduced; without further parameter transfers, the first 50 hits are displayed. A complete list of the hits is stored internally. If you call up the selection again within a Logical Unit of Work (LUW) without changing the selection parameters, but with other refurbishment parameters, then you receive further partial quantities of the selection result, as specified by you."
and for deletion
check whether you can set any deletion status through the fm BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
Also check the business objects BUS2007, BUS2088

Work center change in Service order not happening

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem when i try to Call a function module in update task where the Function module contains a call to BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN without COMMIT WORK.
This is done in order to update the Work Center while there are changes to the Warranty Status of the Repair Order.
So , i have written the Code in the Userexit_SAVE_Document so that the Update gets done.
But there might be problems when the Repair order does not get saved.
So keeping that scenario in mind, I tried using the Update task Function Module in which i wil lbe calling the BAPI for Changing/Updating the Service order.
BUT , The Change is not getting reflected in the Work centre of the Service order.

Hai experts,
i have found the way to do the work center change in update task method .
I did call the BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN but without using COMMIT since this function module is called in Update task method so whatever is the change being done by that BAPI will be reflected in the Service order once the Update task has been done for that service order.

Hi Sandeep,
The best approach to learn this development is to debug the standard functionality by providing the data which you need in your requirement. Then you will get familiar with what are structures which needs to be populated and send to One Order API - CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
This above mentioned API will be the one which you need to use in the creation of Service Order. So, you can also search with the above mentioned Module.

I'm trying to use the BAPI BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI. I found some code related to this BAPI on this forum and and I've written my code based on that and while executing it i'm getting a short dump. Could anyone please help me figure out what the problem is.

First off. Debug.
Put a break point on the line that is generating the short dump and run your code. The ABAP debugger should display before the dump...now....
The error specifies that the line type of the table HEADER (which is the internal representation of your lit_header table and has line type BAPIBUS20001_HEADER_INS ) doesn't have a field called HANDLE.
Check if it does (it should have or something is very wrong, and you should report a bug to SAP).
Check all runtime variables for that command. See if the table has any values in it. Try using your lit_header table with header-line or not.
Your in a far better position to determine what the error is then me. Right now, I don't have access to a CRM server.
From my experience that BAPI is a piece of .... It is hard finding functions in CRM that actually do what you want...properly...Try using CRM_ORDER_CREATE (i think it's called like that). Much better, and if you need RFC capability just write a wrapper RFC.

User Exit or BADI to update the service order in R/3

When creating a service order the following fields need to be populated automatically using an user exit or badi.
1. Planner Group
2. PMActType Plant maintenance activity type
3. Cost/Profit Centre
4. WBS element
5. Work center
so my requirement is there any function module or Badi or user exit to update the service order details when service order is created / changed.
Pls do the needful.

Go to SPRO Transaction and follow the below path
Customer relationship management>Transactions>Settings for Service Processes>Business Add-Ins and you will find 8 BADI's.

Pricing date change on service order when creating confirmation.

I want to change the pricing date (and recalculate prices)on service order to the date confirmation is created from the service order.I would like to know if this can be achieved by copy control BADI or order save BADI or pricing BADI ?

Hi Dona,
Pricing manipulation for an order can be done by using CRM_PRICING_BADI.Use the method CRM_PRICING_MERGE, here you can use the changing parameter CS_PRICING_BADI to change the pricing data.

How change the sort order of searched items so last search item shows first. I DO NOT mean the order of search engines, but existing searches by down arrow key

I want to be able to change the sort order of items I have already searched for in the search box. I want to be able to hit the down arrow key and see my previous searches in the order of last search showing first. At the moment I have no idea how it is sorting and it's very annoying to have to re-type a query I typed 5 minutes earlier but because I typed in another 10 since it is lost somewhere in the list. Can this be done, I have googled but did not find the topic anywhere. Just to clarify, I DO NOT MEAN the order of search engines (which is all that comes up in google), I mean the actual text typed in which has been saved in the drop down list.

The "form fill" feature uses a "frecency" algorithm, frequency + recency, similar to the address bar autocomplete list.
I found an extension that seems relevant, but the reviews are old so I'm not sure it's still working: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/searchbar-autocomplete-order/ Searchbar Autocomplete Order].
But... is the autocomplete not working? I would expect that typing a couple characters of the earlier query would filter the list so you can easily select it? Or is the problem that the list doesn't remember enough searches for that?
