I am creating new record in service

Hi,
Generally, "No class Definition found" Exception comes in these cases.
1. If we dont add the corrosponding jar file in the "lib" folder.
2. If the class is not accessible(private or protected).
3. Place where you are accessing the class and where the class is defined are in two different packages...

We are facing problems while creating Web services . The transaction like WSADMIN, WSCONFIG are not there in development server. Its gives message u2018This transaction is obsoleteu2019.
Due to this while creating Webservice, there is and error message . Kindly guide me whats needs to be done.
We have also tried the transaction WSADMIN2 as suggested by SAP, but didnu2019t know wat needs to be done.

With your help, we were configuring WEB Service through soamanger.Due to some problem, we couldn't proceed further.Kindly guide us with the further steps.
*steps followed *
Step 1 : Entered Service Registry Parameters in WSPARAM .
Step 2 : In transaction SOAMANAGER->Technical Configuration -->System Global settings
Step3 : From u2018SE80u2019 transaction, selected the package ZHR and then right clicked to create the enterprise service -> Client Proxy (Service Producer)
We have followed steps in se80.Don't know how to proceed further.
We are unable to find the service in soamanger .How to find the service name in soamanager?

Create Entity Service as Web Service wrapper for Netweaver dev studio 7.1

Hi,
I am totally new to Netweaver.
I was trying to create a CAF service that wraps my own service.On searching i found this document
[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/11669cea-0c01-0010-63b2-b98c35b1b370] where the process was mentioned.But this document is on netweaver 7.0 and i am working on 7.1 .
Here while trying to create a entity service, its mentioned in the doc to right click on the entity service node..but in my netweaver i dont find that node anywhere..the only nodes i see are external and modeled..I am assuming the components must have chaged for version 7.1..
Can anyone tell me where i can find the updated documentation for Netweaver 7.1 to create a entity service as a webservice wrapper.

[ICSS B2B] Problem when creating a service request due to language

Hi everyone.
We have a web portal based on icss_b2b wich is linked with our backend (CRM).
On the web portal, we should be able to create service requests and it works fine when we are using english.
But if we log using german language, when we try to create a service request we have an error and creation ins't done.
Do we need do to do any configuration in the xcm ? Crm ? to allow to create service request in a new language ?

We are facing the same problem, were you able to solve this?
Our Portal takes the language from the browser but we only want to allow people access to ICSS in French and English.
Example:
If browser language = French --> French ICSS
If browser language = English --> English ICSS
If browser language = Dutch --> English ICSS (English = default language)

I think this is not a problem from your end. You please check for another entity service. If you get the same error then this is the problem from server side. If possible please restart the server and try it again.

Problem in creating 0027 infotype record in background

Hi Experts,
I am facing the problem in creating 27(Costs distribution) infotype record in back ground.
Whenever there is a change in position of the employee or when we hire a new employee (Through PA40)
i have to ctreate 0027 infotype record in background.For that i am using IN_UPDATE method of BADI
HRPAD00INFTY.
Here i am getting 2 problems.
1. I am unable to get the latest positions that is assigned to the employee.
Through NEW_IM AGE structure we can get the latest position but if a person is assigned to multiple positions for the same period then i am getting only one position from NEW_IM AGE but not all.can any body help me?
2. I am calling HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION FM to create the IT0027 record in background in the above method (IN_UPDATE). but it is not updating the PA0027 table. any idea?

Problems with creating web service system

Hello,
I seem to have made some changes that made my unable to create web service systems for EP or Visual Composer.
The change I made is in NetWeaver Administration > Configuration > Application Resources > WebServicesFactory, I added the Configuration Property "UseCacheByDefault" with Boolean value = true.
After this, if I create a web service system in Enterprise Portal, the Connection Tests fail. In Visual Composer when I define a web service system, the error I am getting is: "Connector Factory not found for value WebServicesFactory".
I have tried to delete the UseCacheByDefault property I added as well as restart the server but I am still getting the error.
However when I test my web service using the Web Services Navigator, I am not getting any problems. So my guess is the problem lies with the connection factory.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

Since creating WS system in the portal resulted with failed connection test, the issue has nothing to do with VC.
I'm just guessing, but try to configure proxy in the J2EE engine.
If that doesn't help I suggest you raise this question in the portal forum.

Problems while creating local service order on client in MAM

I have MAM2.5 on PC. I have created a local notification and synced it. based on that notif , I am trying to create a service order.But after Sync , I get following error in monitor (merep_mon on MI server) under MAM_001:

While creating service order on backend , we have to fill in the business area. but I dont see any such option on client. may be it picks up the business area from some other detail ( like equipment / personnal number ) ..If so , which from where does it pick that?

You may try this option which might allow you to create orders without business area in the client;
In the back-end, Goto,
SPRO>Plant Maint. & customer service>maintenance & service orders>Define field selection for order header data.
Uncheck the business area from required field.
If it still doesnt work, goto tcode KOT2_OPA and click on change field selection and then remove the required check from business area.

Problem in creating Entity for view which has "INSTEAD OF " trigger

I have an entity based on a Non updatable Database view (DB_VIEW).this database view has an INSTEAD OF trigger which validates
and save data into a table.
And I have a BC4J view based on this entity.
Problem :
When I try to insert a record using bc4j view object,I get following error
ORA-22816: unsupported feature with RETURNING clause
Query sent by view Object is :
BEGIN INSERT INTO DB_VIEW(COLUMN1,COLUMN2,COLUMN3) VALUES (:1,:2,:3) RETURNING ROWID INTO
:4; END;
I am not able to insert any record in that view.
I tried removing rowID from my BC4J entity and View but problem is that in Databae view there is no
column which can be set as a primary key other then ROWID.

I had the same problem.
Oracle 9.2 sadly does not support the RETURNING clause for database views with INSTEAD OF triggers.
Here is Steves Solution:
1. Create a custom entity def impl class for your entity on the Java panel
2. override the isUseReturningClause() and return false
That should work in 9.0.3.4, 9.0.4 build 1419, and 9.0.5.1 production.

Integration directory problem while creating business service

CURRENTLY I AM FACING A PROBLEM IN INTEGRATION DIRECTORY. WHEN I TRY TO CREATE A BUSINESS SERVICE INSIDE THE SERVICE WITHOUT PARTY WHICH I AM TAKING AS A SENDER, I AM UNABLE TO GET THE SOFTWARE COMPONENT VERSIONS IN THE SENDER PARAMETERS.

Let me explain you in detail:-
First, Activate the Change List in the Integration Repository once the design objects are complete. By activating the change list, the object becomes available for Configuration in the Integration Directory.
Secondly, to transfer Integration scenario from Integration Repository - you need your Integration Scenario to be created correctly and when you run this wizard you actually pull the Integration scenario in the Integration directory.
You also have the option of 'Configuration Wizard'.
This tool is a wizard for creating your Recevier Determination, Receiver Agreement, Sender Agreement and Interface Determination. For this tool, you do not need the Integration scenario
It is not mandatory to use any of these tools to configure your scenario.
All you have to do for configuring your scenario is
1. Create Business system/Business service
2. Create Communication Channel
3. Create Receiver Determination
4. Create Interface Determination
5. Sender Agreement
6. Receiver Agreement

Problem in updating entity sevice record

i am doing a POC for update through Web Dynpro
I have made an entity sergvice with a field as fname-short text- i create a record in it as below and save its guid in a context varialbe

Now i am trying to update the same record --

Data is Saved to database in two Steps.
Step 1 : call sendChanges() method on <entity>.getAspect()
Step 2 : call save method on ServiceFacade.
IServiceFacade serviceFacade =
CAFServiceFactory.getServiceFacade(
<class Name>);
serviceFacade.save();
This will save the entty .
The Call to the "Save" Method is missing in your Code.

OA Framework problem to create Entity Objects

I´m starting to work with OA Framework and I have a problem somewhat complicated.
When adding a new entity Object Database the option Database Objects is disabled can not select the table.

Before you come to the above screen, it might have asked you for database credentials. There you need to provide the username and password. Then in the following screen(the screenshot you gave), just above the Tables, views etc checkboxes you can see a poplist called Database Schema with available schemas in the selected db.
If the EO wizard didn't ask for any db then you first needs to create a connetion in JDev with connections manager.

I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3 to create a web service proxy so that I can track my request/response in HTTP Analyzer.
I am following the steps as mentioned in the follwoing uRL:

After adding my code in the main methoad of proxy, I get the following error while compiling:
WARNING: Unable to connect to URL: <my web service proxy URL> due to java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection refused: connect
java.rmi.RemoteException: ; nested exception is:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection refused: connect
Please help as how to solve this.

I am Creating one CAF Application.
while creating Entity Service i have Used one Complex Attribute. but in Application Services Implementation part when am assigning value to this Complex Attribute.it gives error that no method exist.
Kindly provide some information on how to use Complex Attributes while creating Entity Service.
Can i use NWDS2.0.11 for CAF Application?
