Problem in creating process chains for CO

Hi Friends,
I have a CO cube "0OPA_C11" getting data from Three datasources,
those are 0CO_OM_OPA_6(supports delta), 0CO_OM_OPA_1(full only), 0CO_OM_OPA_2(full only), i have already created process chain to this cube using these three datasources, the chain is like this,
1. delete indexes
2.0CO_OM_OPA_6(supports delta
3.0CO_OM_OPA_1(full only),
4.0CO_OM_OPA_1(request overlapping)
5.0CO_OM_OPA_2(full only),
6.0CO_OM_OPA_2(request overlapping)
7.create indexes
Is it right? here the chain is running, after completion of that, in manage of cube, it is showing only the request for 0CO_OM_OPA_2(full only), the request which were there earlier like Init request and new delta request for .0CO_OM_OPA_6, full request for 0CO_OM_OPA_1 are getting deleted, it is showing the request only for 0CO_OM_OPA_2,
the way how i created the process chain is right or wrong? can anybody give me the solution?
Thanx in Advance
BalajiReddy

Hi Nick,
Thanx for your reply, everthing is ok what you've asked me to check, i think there is certain scenario to create the process chains for the data targets, which are getting data from multiple datasources, which support delta's as well as full.
I want that scenario, can you tell me? or can anybody tell me?
The right points are assigned to the right answers.
Thanx in advance

    Hi,
    Follow the following steps:
    1. Go to RSPC->create->give name and disc of your chain.
    Start Variant Creation
    2.  Now you will be prompted to give a start variant, create a  new variant(click on page icon )
    3.Change Selections->date/ time.
4.give date and time for start of the chain.
5.click the check box for periodic job->period values->daily->save->save
    Addition of process types
6.Select the process type "Execute Infopackage"
7.select the name of the infopackage which loads attr data to 0EMPLOYEE.
8.Attribute Change run will come automatically( if not then drag it as well and create variant )
9.select the name of the infopackage which loads text data to 0EMPLOYEE.
10.Attribute change run wil again follow.
(connect the process types which are not connected,by right clicking the process types )

  • How to Create Process Chain for Remote Cube.

    Hi,
I created Remote info cube, data from ECC, loaded Successfully, I want to create Process Chain for Reomte Cube, Please Help me.
    Thanks,
    Nandish Gowda

    Hi Nandish,
After initialization, th next delta will come as per your delta nature, if it is 0calday: Then your next delta will come tomorrow only.
If you are able to 7 records in RSA3, why not in PSA( Why it's only 5 records). Analyze this closely.
Sometimes, RSA3 exactly doesn't match with PSA because, RSA3 works on update mode F.

  • HOW TO CREATE PROCESS CHAIN FOR PSA ARCHIVING

    SDN EXPERTS,
i like to create process chain for archiving. but i dont see any event for archiving when i go to create a process chain for PSA archiving. please let me know.
    thanks

    Hi,
In the below document on the 14th page it says it is not possible to archive the master data & PSA.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f47fec9f-0501-0010-ce84-8a7231715ae6
    As per my understanding..
But one thing you can do is use another ODS and load the same data that you're loading to something else and try to archive that data(Only if you have transformations in the current CUBE/ODS).
Correct me if i was wrong and eloborate your requirement.

  • How to create Process chain for Aggregate for Master data

    Hello friends,
I created Aggregates on Navigational Attributes.
Now they are working fine, but i need to know that how shall i create the Roll up for Aggregates on Navigational Attributes.
The point is the master data changes frequently a lot of time for e.g. for 0customer etc.....
So if any one can send me the step by step documents so as to know how to roll up the Aggregates for Navigation attributes or for aggregates created on Master data....
How to create process chains for the same ?????????
Because if master data changes, then rolling up the aggregates straight forward will not help.
So we need to write a process chain so that it deactivates the aggregate and reactivate again and fill up again..........
If i mis interpreted something please rectify it.......
    Please advise

    Hello,
the changerun that you have to schedule in order to activate the master data will adjust the aggregates automatically.  There is no need to deactivate them after master data loads.
    Best regards,
    Ralf

  • Process has no predecessor while creating process chains for Inventory

    Hi Experts,
I have created process chain for Inventory and this inventory cube have compression also.so, i included compression of the infocube after create index.
Here while i am checking the chain ,am getting the error called :  PROCESS HAS NO PREDECESSOR.
Please give some inputs, what does it mean and how to solve.
    Thanks
    Lakshmi

    Hi Murali,
    Thanks for your reply.
You mean to say that i should not include BX-IP,DTP in the list.as we know that this is only one time job.
But in prodn system with out including BX in the list, how to initialise for the first time.
So,first time we need to manually run the IP,DTP in prodn system.
    Plz let me know.
Note:Murali, In the process chains list after create index,i dragged "COMPRESSION OF THE INFOCUBE" and i specified 0IC_C03 CUBE and continued.
Along with compression of the infocube there is one more box has come into picture i.e SIGMA ADJUST(GENERATED FROM COMPRESSION ZPC_INV_0IC_C03_COMPRESSION) like that its came.
Do we need to remove that or should i keep it in the list.
    Thanks

  • Go about creating Process Chains for BW-HCM Implementation.

    Dear Experts
We are implementing SAP BW in HCM (HR) module. I am done with Build and would like to create Process Chains.
I have nearly 150 InfoObjects to load Master Data and 15-20 to load Transaction Data. I understand there are certain main Master Data InfoObjects which need be loaded before others and then the Transaction Data into DSOs and InfoCubes.
    Questions:
    1. Are Hierarchies need to be loaded first of all, if so, can this be done using Process Chain?
    2. Which InfoObjects should be loaded before Transaction Data and is this need to be sorted out irrespective of different Functional Areas such as OM, PA, PY, etc?
    3. Is it documented anywhere, the sequence of loading Objects in SAP BW-HCM Implementation that l can Benchmark my project to?
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    Chandu

    1. Hierarchies can be loaded using the process chain like the other loads..
    2. Its specific to the Application in whcih you are working.. Here its HCM related Master data. So list of the main master data elements which are key so that you can load transaction data loads once after the MD loads are done.
    3. One way to find the kind of characteristics that you are using in HCM. Also you can verify the kind of Navgational attribuites that you are using at DSO or at CUBE level based on that you can list of the respective master data which needs to be loaded prior to the TD loads.. And also you need to cross verify the existing Rotuines which ever is reding the MD.
For more information you can refer Help.sap.com on HCM application.
    Hope this helps..

  • Creating Process Chains for Infocube

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a process chain for Vendor Evaluation(0PUR_C05).I created a start process and the "execute infopack" wich is delta load,so it prompted for "insert delete index" wich i created. Now,what to do next???
the data flow is like this..
    infoapck(delta)->psa->infosource->infocube...
is giving the selete index and rebuilding it mandatory??
Please throw a light on this and help me out...
    Points will be rewarded..
    Regards,
    Manjari.

    Hi Manjari,
    How to do INIT?
Go to Process Chain for Transaction Data.. and go to infopack you want to do INIT.
Right click on that variant and click "Maintain Variant".
Now if you have not yet loaded the cube using this Infopackage, you will find option Full update and Initialize data transfer in Update tab. If you have not loaded cube with any update, go to Initialize Data transfer and select the datatarget you want in Data Targets tab and check "Start immediately" in Scheduler tab and Execute.
Now go to monitor screen and refresh it in times.
Keep on monitoring in that screen until the requests become "Green".
Once the requests are Green, come back to the Cube in RSA1 and check the data in Manage screen whether the data is populated fine or not.
If the data is populated well, now go to Infopackage and in Update tab, change the Update technique to Delta. From now, you can have Delta upload using process chain.
You will come to know whether the process chain is working properly or not by executing the process chain once. In your case, run the process chain only after you are done with INIT.
If you have already loaded cube with Full load, follow the below process for INIT load...
Go to Process Chain for Transaction Data.. and go to infopack and right click it. Click on Maintain Variant.
InOrder to make it in INITIALISE DATA TRANSFER…goto... Menu>Scheduler>INITIALISATION OPTIONS FOR SOURCE SYSTEM..and click on it.
You will get a popup with some requests in it. Select the requests and make them RED and delete all the requests and enter.
And if u check in Update tab ,,for the update mode..it will be seen in INITIALISE DATA TRANSFER mode.
Then move to DATA TARGETS tab and check the data target to which you want to load data.
NOTE: If there is any data in the Cube, you want to do INIT, delete the data first (delete requests in Data target) and start INIT.
Now move to "schedule" tab in Infopackage and check if the radio button is on START DATA LOAD IMMEDIATELY and click on the START button.
Assign points if this helps u...

    KK.

  • Error while creating process chain for flat file loading

    Hi All,
I had Created a process Chain to load Transactiion data(Full load) form flat file which is in my computer.
    start>Load>DTP>DeleteIndex>DTP loading CUBE--> Create Index
but the system is throwing an error as "An upload from the client workstation in the background is not possible."
I dont know why this error is coming?
    Can some one help me
    Regards
    Mamta

    Hi Mamta,
Basically if you want to load the DS through FF using process chain, the FF has to be placed in Application server. We cant load the FF when it is located in the client local workstation(FF On your PC).
So better you remove the Infopackage step from the PC. Load the IP manually. Once it is completed you can start the process chain with the following steps:
    start>DTP>DeleteIndex>DTP loading CUBE> Create Index
Hope it is clear & helpful!

  • How to create process variant for delete index in a process chain

    Respected all
I am creating a process chain, but unable to create process variant for the delete index. kindly tell me the
step by step proceure for creating the variant for delete index. also if we use variant which is previously prepared then will it be safe? will it affect the other running process chian.
    pls reply
    thanks
    abhay

    Hi,
Please do not use an already created variant for index deletion. It might delete indices of some other cube.
You can follow the following steps -
    1. Open the chain in Edit mode and click on "Process Types" button
    2. On the Left hand side you will have various process types. Choose "Data Target Administration" and expand it.
    3. Choose the first process "Delete Index" (it will be marked with a trash bin sign) and drag it to your chain
    4. It will ask you create a variant. Press the create Button
    5. In new window enter the Process Variant technical name and description
    6. Then in new window choose Object Type = Cube through dropdown and Object name via browsing. After choosing the cube name click on "Transfer Selections"
    7. Save and return to your chain
    8. It will automatically generate a create index step also after delete index.
    9. You need to break the link between create and delete step and insert infopackage in between to get the following steps - delete index --> load cube --> create index.
Please let me know if this is helpful..

  • Steps for Creating Process chain!

    Hi All,
I want to create process chain which can schedule IP and run the concern job to fill infocubes/ODS?Can someone please guide me stepwise how to proceed. Some sort of doc will eb appreciated.

    Hi,
You can either create a process chain directly in the process chain maintenance screen, or by using a maintenance dialog for a process
Creating a Process Chain Directly in the Process Chain Maintenance Screen
    In the BW Administrator Workbench
      1.      Choose the  Process Chain Maintenance icon from the AWB toolbar.
      2.      Choose Create.
      3.      Enter the technical name and a description of the chain, and confirm your entry.
       4.      Create a variant for a start process.
On the Maintain Start Process screen, choose whether you want to schedule the chain directly or whether you want to start it using a metachain.
If you choose to schedule the chain directly, enter the start date value for a chain under Change Selections and save your entries.
Save your entries, go back to the previous screen and confirm your entries in the Add Start Process dialog box.
The  Plan View of the process chain maintenance screen appears.
In the left-hand area of the screen, a navigation area is displayed. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
           5.      Use Drag&Drop or double-click to add the relevant processes to your process chain.
Choose  Process Types to select the processes. This sorts the process types according to different categories. You can also call up InfoPackages and processes for the data target from the separate  InfoSources and  Data Targets navigation trees.
If you insert a process into the chain that is linked to additional processes by default, the respective process variants are generated and automatically inserted into the process chain. These variants are suggestions and can be changed, replaced or removed from the chain as required. Variant maintenance is called when the change run performs automatic insert.
    a.       On the Maintain Start Process screen, choose whether you want to schedule the chain directly or whether you want to start it using a metachain.
    b.       If you choose to schedule the chain directly, enter the start date value for the chain under Change Selections and save your entries.
The Maintain Start Process screen appears again.
    c.       Save your entries, go back to the previous screen and confirm your entries in the Add Start Process dialog box.
The  Plan View of the process chain maintenance screen appears.
The various process categories, the application processes, and collection processes are displayed in the left-hand area of the screen. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
If the process that you used to create a chain is linked to additional processes by default, the respective process variants are generated and inserted into the process chain automatically. These variants are suggestions and can be changed, replaced or removed from the chain as required. Variant maintenance is called when the change run performs automatic insert.
Choose  Process Types to select the processes. This sorts the process types according to different categories. You can also call up InfoPackages and processes for the data target from the separate  InfoSources and   Data Targets navigation trees.
When you add a process, you need to select a process variant or create a new variant. For collection processes, the system uniquely determines the variants.
Various functions for editing the process are available from the context menu
Maintain variants  With the exception of the variants in the collection processes OR and EXOR, you can use this function to change all process variants.
    Exchange variants
You can exchange the variants for an existing variant or a variant that is to be created.
You can use this function to link a process to a successor process. You can choose from the processes that are not yet linked to the current process. They are grouped according to process type in submenus.
          Display scheduled jobs
Once the process chain is active, you can use this function to display the jobs that have been scheduled.
After at least one process chain run, you can display all of the scheduled jobs for a specific process and all of the jobs with which this process was run. The Job Overview appears and you can call the relevant job log.
    Create message
You can also send messages to an application process of the chain, depending on the success or failure of the process.
    1.       To do this, using the context menu for a process, create another process variant of type Send Message.
    2.       If you maintain a message, first specify whether you want the message to be sent when the process has been completed successfully or unsuccessfully. Then choose Next.
    3.       A dialog box appears, in which you can select an existing process variant or create a new one.
    4.       If you create a new process variant, edit the document that is going to be sent and maintain a list of recipients.
    5.       Save your process variant and go back.
The message process variant is now assigned to your application process. When the message is sent, the status information and the process log are also sent.
Only use this function to debug a process run.
Specify how long (in seconds) you want the delay to be between one event being triggered and the next process starting.
You can capture the process in the debugger by using transaction SM37 (Job Overview) or SM50 (Process Overview).
    Remove process
You use this function to remove a process from a process chain.
    Manage data target
You use this function to call the data target administration for the following types of process variants:
             Construct index
             Delete index
             Construct database statistics
             Roll up filled aggregates
             Compress InfoCube
             Activate DataStore object data
           7.      Hold down the left mouse button to connect the processes with events.
Before you do this, select the process underneath the process type row, and position the cursor over the required process. When you select the process type row, the whole process is moved into the plan view.
From the context menu of a link, you can display the event or remove the link. To do this, select the link and right-click with the mouse.
           8.      If necessary, specify whether you want the event to be triggered after the previous process has been completed successfully or unsuccessfully, or whether you want the event to be triggered independently of the outcome of the process that precedes it. If the process that triggers the event has more than one option, choose the option after which the successor process is to be run
           9.      Assign a display component to the process chain using Attributes
         10.      Maintain additional process chain attributes if necessary.
         11.      Check your process chain in the  Check View and make any necessary corrections.
The  Legend explains the meaning of the different colors used to display the processes and links.
From the context menu for a process, you can display the messages resulting from the check.
During the check, the system calculates the number of parallel processes according to the structure of the chain . The result is compared with the number of background processes on the chosen server (or the total of all available servers if no server is specified in the attributes of the process chain). If the number of parallel processes is greater than the number of available background processes, the system highlights every level of the process chain where the number of processes is too high. The system produces a warning for these levels.
       12.      Save your process chain if it does not contain any errors.
You can activate and schedule your process chain. After scheduling, the chain starts in accordance with the start process selections. For example, if you scheduled the start process directly and chose Immediately as the start date value, the chain run starts immediately after scheduling.  In the  Log View, you can display the reports for the chain runs.
