Problem in fragment tag

Hi, Im new to JSF and Facelets, I faced some problems in fragement tag when i was desigining my page, here is the code,
<s:fragment rendered="#{show eq 'true'}">
<ui:param name="currency" value="true"/>
</s:fragment>
<s:fragment rendered="#{show eq 'false'}">
<ui:param name="currency" value="false"/>
</s:fragment>
<h:outputText value="#{currency}}/>
Here, i can pass show value from another .xhtml page. If the first condition is satisfied it will print true, if the second condition satisfied expect to print false. But my code only print "false". Eventhoug its satisfied first condition, it will print "false". If i give <h:outputText value="#{currency}}/> within the fragment tag it works fine as I expect. I need helps.
thanks

This fixes the
onmouseover="ShowToolTip('{dsPhotos::description}') problem,
BUT
<p>{dsPhotos::description}</p>
now appears as
'About 4 PM , March 31,1917. The salute from the Fort

with the undesireable &rsquo; instead of '.
So my problem requires both html translation and javascript
argument quoting/non-parsing.
Any ideas?

  • XSLT problem with img tag in Saxon

    Hi,
    Iam getting a problem with <img> tag when transforming a document using Saxon transformer. In the input XSLT I have proper closing tag for <img>, but the output of the transformation is not well formed as the closing tag for <img> does not appear. I need to feed the output to a FO object to generate a print preview, but the output is not well-formed.
    Kindly help to resolve the issue.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhinandan

    Perhaps that is because you are generating HTML as your output? As I recall, <img> tags don't have to be closed in HTML. So try generating XML instead if you need XML.

  • Problems with iterate tags

    Hi everybody,
    We're using OC4J 9.0.2 but we have a problem with iterate tags. The doAfterBody is ignored and so, the body is never done !
    This work fine with version 9.0.3. If we compare the two generated servlets(9.0.2 & 9.0.3), the code is really different.
    Is this a know bug, is it possible to solve this problem ?
    Our client is still in 9.0.2 and is not ready for an upgrade.
    Any idea is welcome ...

    It's unlikely anyone can help you if you don't show any of your code or explain what is really happening.
    Have you set breakpoints (or added print statements) in your doStartTag, doEndTag, and doAfterBody methods, and verified the return values are what they should be?

  • Problems with and tags while reading the xml file

    Hi
    I am using the xml files in my project. The project uses Tomcat, JMS. The project is divided into some components which communicate with each oher thru JMS. The component for which I am responsible gets a dcoument object from the JMS which is a processed xml of the following format (the processing is done by the DBMS_XMLGEN package of oracle)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <root>
    <filename>157_1000000001</filename>
    <querydata>

                   d.PASSENGER_NAME,d.ORIG_ISS_AIRLINE,d.ORIG_DOC_NO,d.ORIG_PLACE_OF_ISSUE,
                   to_char(d.ORIG_DATE_OF_ISSUE,'DDMONYY'),d.ORIG_ISSUE_AGENT,d.CUR_OF_SALE,d.GROSS_FARE,d.EQUIV_CUR_OF_SALE,d.EQUIV_FARE,
                   d.PANDA_DEAL_CODE,d.ISI,d.reporting_date
                   from airline_master a,ticket_main d,ticket_conj e where d.doc_no = e.doc_no and d.iss_airline = e.iss_airline
                   and e.conj_doc_no = (select DOC_NO from TICKET_CONJ where CONJ_DOC_NO = 1000000001 and ISS_AIRLINE = 157)
                   and e.ISS_AIRLINE = 157 and d.iss_airline = a.ARLN_NUM_CODE
    </query>
    </queryset>
    </tabdata>
    </querydata>
    the function on my side is like this
    private void processMessage(ObjectMessage objmessage)
         Document XMLreqObject = (Document) objmessage.getObject();
         Element root = XMLreqObject.getRootElement();
         String resultFilename = root.getChildText("filename");
         Element tabSet = root.getChild("querydata");//doesnt work
         ArrayList tabSetlist = new ArrayList(tabSet.getChildren ("tabdata"));//doesnt work
    The code commented with "doesnt work", is not working. What must be the problem ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Martin

    Okay. Your original example XML didn't include < or > which was rather confusing if that particular feature was supposed to be the cause of the problem. Also calling them "tags" was rather confusing since "tags" is the term for the things that come at the beginning and of an element, like this:<data>...</data>Anyway, I assume your theory is that documents that don't have < in a text element process correctly and documents that do have < in a text element get "stuck" in the parser? Well, from your original description the process appears to be:
    1. Create XML
    2. Parse it into a Document
    3. Send the Document via JMS
    4. Receive the Document via JMS
    5. Process it.
    And it's step 4 that is "stuck"? That would be my guess based on the code you posted.

  • XML File - Problem.with naming tags with XI standard functions

    Hello,
    simple (?) problem:
    Receiver expects an XML file via file adapter.
    (The source data comes from an RFC connect to XI.)
    In the XML tags like these are expected (following W3C definitions):
    A)   </gdt:ValueGroup>
    How to define a data type with a ":" in its name or to convert it to the required tag?
    B)   <gdt:ExtendedAttribute gdt:guid="4c102d6b077de7c1f0e27391e40bb80f" gdt:code="X01" >GR2 LI3</gdt:ExtendedAttribute>
    This one is a real nice one. The part with "gtd:guid=" within the tag is variable. How to add such values into tag names?
    Any ideas if this is possible with standard and how.
    If this is the limit of XI I think we need an XSLT- or JAVA-maping program to generate the required file.
    Thank you for any help!
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hi Dirk,
    just one thing:
    >>>>The part with "gtd:guid=" within the tag is variable.
    this is ok as it's just an attribute
    of the ExtendedAttribute tag's name
    so it can be variable without any problems
    (you can fill it in the mapping for example)

  • Problem using struts tags in .jsp

    I have a page that fills in the appropriate user information in text fields when viewed. The problem is, i want to have a text field that shows the full name, but i only have getter and setter methods for firstname and lastname in my form bean. Is there a way to combine firstname and lastname to display the fullname using the <html:text> tag ???

    You can use an ActionForm for your view that differs from the bean you are using. DynaActionForm would be ideal because it can be tedious to have a full complement of view beans that mirror your value objects.
    The idea is to loadup a DynaActionForm with the values for the view before the JSP is called in an Action. The following shows the parts of this and some code for execute() that creates DynaActionForm.
    If you have this bean in myapp/Contact.java
    package myapp;
    public class Contact {
    private String firstName,lastName;
    public String getFirstName() { return firstName; }
    public String getLastName() { return lastName; }
    public void setFirstName(String _firstName) { firstName = _firstName; }
    public void setLastName(String _lastName) { lastName = _lastName; }
    }Put this in the appropriatesecions in struts-config.xml
    <form-bean name="ContactActionForm" type="org.apache.struts.action.DynaActionForm">
    <form-property name="fullName" type="java.lang.String"/>
    </form-bean>
    <action path="/showContactForm"
            type="myapp.ShowContactActionForm">
      <forward name="success" path="/contactActionForm.jsp">
    </action>
    <action path="/handleContact"
            name="ContactActionForm"
            type="myapp.HandleContactActionForm">
      <forward name="success" path="/contactActionForm.jsp">
    </action>And for the execute method in the ShowContactActionForm put...
    Contact contact = db.getContact(contactId);
    ModuleConfig mc = _mapping.getModuleConfig();
    FormBeanConfig fbc = mc.findFormBeanConfig("ContactForm");
    DynaActionFormClass dafc =
    DynaActionFormClass.createDynaActionFormClass(fbc);
    DynaActionForm theForm = (DynaActionForm)dafc.newInstance();
    theForm.initialize(_mapping);
    theForm.set("fullName", contact.getFirstName() + " " + contact.getLastName());
    _request.setAttribute("ContactForm", theForm);
    fwd = _mapping.findForward("success");

  • Problem with child tag - Could not resolve x to a component implementation.

    Hello.
    I am writing some chart component and got a problem setting property via child tag. Property is a custom class.
    My directory structure:
    Makefile  oxcharts  Session.vim  stats.as  stats.mxml  stats.swf
    ./oxcharts:
    ColumnChart.as MyTest.as
    stats.mxml:
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" xmlns:oxcharts="oxcharts.*">
        <oxcharts:ColumnChart id="myChart" showDataTips="true" width="600" height="310">
            <oxcharts:test x="5"></oxcharts:test>
         </oxcharts:ColumnChart>
    </mx:Application>
    ColumnChart.as:
    package oxcharts {
        public class ColumnChart extends UIComponent {
            public var test:MyTest;
    MyTest.as:
    package oxcharts {
        public class MyTest {
            public var x:Number;
    I got this error:
    Error: Could not resolve <oxcharts:test> to a component implementation.
    I guess something wrong with imports. Setting Number property via child tag works just fine.

    I'm gonna give a clerear example, I hope it'll help you better understand what I mean let's say I have a custom class named Login:
    package ec
             [Bindable]
         public class Login
              public var ID:int;
              public var Role:String;
              public function Login()
    And I need to use this class within MyAmazingCanvas, so my main app will be like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:oxcharts="ec.*">
         <mx:Script>
              <![CDATA[
                   import ec.Login;
                   [Bindable]
                   private var myLoginStatus:Login=new Login();
                   private function setLoginData():void{
                        myLoginStatus.ID=myID.text
                        myLoginStatus.Role=myRole.text;
              ]]>
         </mx:Script>
         <oxcharts:MyAmazingCanvas id="myCustomComp" myPublicNumber="323" LoginStatus="{myLoginStatus}" />
         <mx:TextInput id="myID" />
         <mx:TextInput id="myRole" />
         <mx:Button id="setData" label="Set Data" click="setLoginData()" />
    </mx:Application>
    When I said at the top level I meant outside the scope of any function, altough is not a requierement, you can as well set it at a function level.

  • Performance problem using OBJECT tag

    I have a performance problem using the java plugin and was wondering if anyone else was has seen the same thing. I have a rather complex applet that interacts with java script in a web page using the LiveConnect API. The applet both calls javascript in the page and is called by java script.
    Im using IE6 with the java plugin that ships with the 1.4.2_06 JVM. I have noticed that if I deploy the applet using the OBJECT tags, the application seems the trash everytime I call a java method on the applet from javascript. When I deplot the same applet using the APPLET tag the perfomance is much better. I would like to use the OBJECT tag because it applet bahaves better and I have more control over the caching.
    This problem seems to be on the boundaries of IE6, JScript, the JVM and my Applet (and I suppose any could be the real culprit). My application is IE5+ specific so I can not test the applet in isolation from the surround HTML/JavaScript (for example in another browser).
    Does anyone have any idea?
    thanks in advance.

  • Problem removing html tags from the text retrived

    Hi there,
    I am using jdbc to connect the database and retriving the data. In one of the columns along with the description there are some html tags in few of the recors of that column. is there a way to retrive the text only ignoring the html tags in between. Or can i retrive and then strip off the html code in the text to display only normal text.
    example of the data retrived which are pipe seperated and one of the columns has html tags in it:
    209|The euphoria |187945-2|http://www.abc/lst.jsp?mktgChannel=I86023&sku=18791-2&siteID=qpF0HYnRugA|http://www.abc.com/assets/images/product/medium/18793-2_198.jpg|Rooftop Singers: Walk Right In | abc Music proudly presents THE FOLK YEARS, an unforgettable era in music history!<BR><BR><B>Featuring:</B><BR>
    <LI>The most complete collection of folk and folk-rock songs ever put together -- 132 classics!
    <LI>Original hits by the original artists!
    Now i need to remove the tags before displaying this on the output. Is there a simple way to do this.
    Thanks...

    Did you read the documentation of the trim() method,
    where it describes which whitespace it removes?I believe his problem is that
    "Some text here
    <blah>
    More text"becomes
    "Some text here
    More text"... and he wants ...
    "Some text here
    More text"So, your problem is that your regex isn't matching whitespace as well.
    See the "Trimming Whitespace" section:

  • Problem with custom tag attribute types

    Hi,
    I try to figure out how to pass an attribute to a custom tag that is of a type other than "String"?
    In my case, I should pass an attribute with a type of "java.util.ResourceBundle".
    My tag looks like this:
    <tt:cs sel="ab" ce="<%= java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundle("de", Application.getApp().getLocale())%>" />
    I always get the message that the attribute ce is empty.
    Isn't it possible to have attirbutes that are of an other type than string? How could I solve this problem?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards Patrick

    In JSP 1.2, in the Tag Library Descriptor, you can specify a tagt attribute as
    <attribute>
       <name>attr1</name>
       <required>true|false|yes|no</required>
       <rtexprvalue>true|false|yes|no</rtexprvalue>
       <type>fully-qualified_type</type>
    </attribute> Notice the XML element <type>fully-qualified_type</type>
    Not sure if you can do this in JSP 1.1

  • Problem with custom tag using TagExtraInfo

              Hi,
              I have a tag that create a Java variable using TEI. The scope of this
              variable is driving me crazy. The problem is hard to describe, so the
              email is a bit long - stay with me...
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" /> create a Java variable
              named "foo", which has String value "test". I can use "foo" like this in
              the page later: <%= foo %>.
              Now, if I call setvar twice with same id:
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" />
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="another-test" />
              This is still ok. By checking the compiled Java file, the first call
              declare the var, the second call just use it without creating it again:
                   //first call
                   String foo=null;
                   foo="test";
                   //second call
                   foo="another test";
              Now the problem comes when the frist call is in "if" statement (code is not
              useful, only for demostration):
              <% if (1>0) { %>
                   <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" />
              <% } %>
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="another-test" />
              The compiled code looks like:
                   if (1>0) {
                        //first call
                        String foo=null;
                        foo="test";
                   //second call
                   foo="another test";
              Variable foo is out of scope at the second call! (BTW, I can workaround this by
              adding another <pre:setvar id="foo" value="" /> before the "if".)
              Is it a fault in JSP specification? Or a problem when WebLogic implements TEI?
              Any idea?
              Thanks,

    I encountered the same problem in our environment. I did the same thing as
              James. Simply re-initialize all variables in the do end tag.
              Also, with the nested tags you use you may also need to implement cloneable
              in the inner tag if the outer tag keeps references to all the inner tag
              instances.
              For instance if the outer tag kept a vector of references to the inner tag,
              then you would need to use clone() on the inner tag before adding it to the
              vector.

  • Problem with Grouping Tag in iTunes

    Hi,
    I am trying to use getID3 to read the 'Grouping' tag from iTunes. It would seem that iTunes is writing these tags to my MP3 files, as, when I open them in Media Rage the Grouping Tag shows up OK. However, when I then upload the tracks to my server and use 'content_group_description' to read these tags (the getid3 code for the 'Grouping' tag, nothing shows up. If however, I change the Grouping Tag in Media Rage, and then re-upload, the Grouping Tag does show up.
    I wonder if someone could help me troubleshoot why this is happening. I would rather not have to retag all of my files in Media Rage if possible.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    After further investigation it would seem that the Grouping Tag is preserved such that getid3 can read it for the original files in my iTunes library.  The problem occurs with files are converted using iTunes (from higher bitrate to lower bitrate MP3s).  For these files, the Grouping Tag shows up in Media Rage, but cannot be read by getid3.  If anyone has an idea why this might be, and what I can do to resolve this issue, I'd be glad to hear of it.
    Thanks,
    Nick
