Problem in importing SAP Exchange profile (BASIS settings) - Urgent

Hi,
I am currently facing problem in importing SAP Exchange profiles manually.
When i enter into http://<J2EE_host>:<J2EE_port>/exchangeProfile with username as PISUPER, the page is getting loaded but
1.it shows a error message stating, Name or password is incorrect
2. When i ignore that error and proceed with the connections tab to edit the server settings, i cannot set the password for PILDUSER. It again says, Name or Password is incorrect..
What could be the reason for these errors. Please help me... This is very urgent....

Thanks for your response guys. I checked for PISUPER and PILDSUPER in SU01 and checked for lock but it shows an error message saying User doesnot exist.
Kindly let me know how to procced on in this case.

I could not find file /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/exchange_profile.xml , while doing post installation step in installation guide. the step is importing the SAP XI profile.
It is just to to save the profile, i mean to save user passwords for security reasons.
Can i leave this step and perform later.

Importing the exchange profile in PI 7.1

Hi,
system is PI 7.1
1. System copy is done and then in post intallation process.
2. On PI System AII_PROFILES table is empty and i tried to import the the exchange profile from the link
 http://<host:port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp
 it showing the profile is imported successfully but it is not getting updated in database as well as the tree for exchange profile is not showing in the parameter tree.
3. after system copy there was no aii.properties file in server0 directory. i created the file manually but it is not picking the value from the aii.properties file

Have you followed the same procedure to import as below?
 1. On your Integration Server host, open the following URL:
http://<AS_Java_host>:AS_Java_port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp
The following naming convention applies for <AS_Java_Port>:
5<AS_Java_instance_number>00
50000, for example, if your AS Java instance is 00
 2. Enter the logon information:
User Name: PISUPER
Password: <pisuper_password>
The Exchange Profile page appears.
 3. Choose Connection.
The ABAP Connection page appears.
 4. Enter the required information for the PI host.
Use the logon information of user PILDUSER.
 5. Choose Set.
The Exchange Profile page appears.
 6. Choose Import.
The Import profile from database page appears.
 7. Choose Browse and select the following file:
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/xi/exchange_profile.xml
If you cannot run a Web browser on your PI host, you need to copy the file exchange_profile.xml from the PI host to a host where a Web browser runs.
 8. Choose Import Data.
The profile is imported.

Connection problem when importing SAP NW BW models into HANA developer ed

I have successfully installed "AS ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. BW on SAP HANA SP7 [Developer Edition]" and connected with the SAP GUI and added the system into HANA Studio and Eclipse.
Being connected as SYSTEM in the modeleler (Eclipse & HS) I choose: File->Import->SAP HANA Content->SAP NetWeaver BW Model
After selecting 'Next' I enter the following:
Server name: A4H
Host name: abapci
Instance number: 00
Client number: 001
SAProuter string: <nil>
User name: <BW user-id>
Password: <BW pwd>
When testing the connection or pressing 'Next' in order to connect the following happens:
HS: nothing
In Eclipse I get the followin message:

It seems to me as if the message is indicating that the 'hostname' is not abapci' which surprises me since on page 13 in the guide (
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/601fec98-f975-3110-a397-a322039ecc1a?QuickLink=index&… ) it explicitly is stated that the hostname is "abapci" (which also can be seen in the SAP GUI).
Anybody got any ideas what is going on???

Instead of 'abaci' you enter the IP-address.

Problems while importing SAP Content

Hi,
we actually import some content provided by SAP for German VAT (Elster). Now the import works fine, but when I click on some elements f.e. message mapping XI result with error:
Target message Message Type: VATDeclarationConfirmation does not exist in software component version 6d53e350-a97d-11d8-a2dd-d61d0a114c15 Check whether the software component version 6d53e350-a97d-11d8-a2dd-d61d0a114c15 is in the Integration Repository. If necessary, install the software component version 6d53e350-a97d-11d8-a2dd-d61d0a114c15 or a newer version
But its nothing we imported by our own - its all from SAP anyone a idea how to fix it?

Hi Matt,
actually you will need to import SWCV SAP APPL 470 with at least patch level 22 as well. This SWCV contains the RFC structures which are used in the mappings and might not be referenced in your case....

Importing Exchange Profile For PI7.0

Hi Experts,
We Installed PI 7.0 with 000,001,066 Clients.
I want to have Another Client For this I followed this SAP Note 940309
But While Doing the Following thing i Got the Error like Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts 
Start the Exchange Profile (http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile) and logon with PISUPER. Go to 'Connection' on top of page (don't mix up with connections tree on the left) and set the new client.
Here I changed The Client And I Given the Password Which we r Using Master PWD. Then This Error Came.
After this Iam Unable to get Any thing in Exchange Profile. Then What Should I Do Now
Should I Re import the Exchange Profile Or NOt.
Please Give me Some Help.

Did you fully complete the steps mentioned in the OSS note??

To update the SLD with the new client data, logon to the new client, start transaction RZ70 and press 'Start data collector without Job scheduling'.
Note: Use the "without Job scheduling" button (F9), so that the SLD is updated immediately. Check the 'last updated' timestamp in the SLD.
Logon to the SLD. Choose 'Technical Systems' and select your 'WebAS ABAP' system. Tab strip 'Business Systems' shows your system. Select it and change to tab strip 'Integration'. Press 'Change' and select the new client. Don't forget to save !
Attention: Reboot the XI J2EE Engine after that to insure that XI gets the changes from the SLD and the Exchange Profile.

PI 7.11 sp6 system copy Exchange Profile error code: 399

Experts,
We have a PI 7.1 (EHP1, sp6) PI system based on AIX 6.1 OS and Oracle 11g.
I recently did the standard PI system copy from a prod source (PIP) to a training target (PIT).
I used the most recenty PI system copy guide that is specific for PI 7.1 EHP1
I did not run into any major problems doing the steps of the copy itself.
I did the usual "post" steps, documented in the guide that really are done on any NW system.
Then I got into the specific "PI" post steps and that's where I now have a problem.
I followed all the steps, fixing my RFCs, JCos, Destinations, cleaning up SLD, SLDAPICUST, creating new business systems...etc.
My big problem is with the exchange profile. Yes, it's easy to change all the SIDs and hostnames using the search tool for all the parameters in the exchange profile, but the one I COULD NOT CHANGE was the "ABAP Connection". In there right after the copy was the hostname of the prod system, the client, and the user PILDUSER. I attempted to put the hostname of my target (PIT) system, but I would get the error:
com.sap.rprof.dbprofiles.DBException: RFC call returned an error code: 399
I'm certain the user is NOT locked and the password is correct for PILDUSER. It'll give me a different error if I put the wrong password in, so I know it's hitting my system.
Worse yet, If I left the hostname in there that was set to "prod", then when I changed all the other values in the "parameters" section of the XI profile, then it actually changed my PROD system!!
If I keep the ABAP connection to PIT, then the entire exchange profile disappears for PIT.
I see these errors in the default trace and application log:

Access to the XI Profile is currently disrupted.
I can't be the first person to run into this.
SO strange that I can actually plug in either my dev/QA or PROD hostname in the "ABAP connection" box and it WILL ACCEPT IT...but then, it registered my training system as a "non central adapter engine". I don't want that.
Any ideas?
Another issue is that the SLD PI information from the PIT system is missing the "Integration Directory". It has the other 5 entries...Adapter Engine, Domain, Integration Repository, Integration Server, RWB.

Regarding what is the exchange profile?
Exchange profile contains the information like set of parameter that are used for the the functioning of all SAP XI components. It's more of like a storage area of all the parameters.
Regarding where u can see?
Go to your XI home page --> Administration --> you will find a link called EXCHANGE PROFILE On the Right Had side for your IR , ID and RWB . You can edit the values of the exchange profile here

Com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.EngineException: Problem in server response:

Hi,
I have created one CAF application,which is having one external webservice and one application service.Webservice takes two input parameters(string,boolean) and it returns an arraylist.
So when i test the CAF application on the CAF service browser it is giving me error like " com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.EngineException: Problem in server response: [Bad Request]."
I am getting this error while creating object of web service.
Can anybody help me on this issue..

It looks like you are not authorized to execute the webservice. Check the webservice authentication settings.

Sharing SLD and Exchange Profile Settings

Hi
We have a Development system (DXI and and the SLD is hosted on DXI.
Now we are trying to install a fresh Development system (UXI) which will use/share the same SLD hosted on DXI. We did a system copy of DXI and then changing the exchange profile settings of UXI (Host etc) to point to correct system also changes the Exchange profile parameters of DXI system.
Somehow both the exchange profile settings of two systems are linked and changing one changes the another one with the same settings, thus starting repository, Configuration of DXI actually leads to another UXI system and Vice versa on changing exchange profile settings.
Any inputs how to keep exchange profile settings segeregated will be helpful as both the system have their own box/host and only SLD is shared which is on DXI.

Exchange profile parameter problem after system copy of XI server

I'm getting problem after the system copy of XI server. Following is the details. pls help to fix this one:
XQA is the system copy of XDV server. XQA is installed on rx2n1v1 server and XDV is installed on dbcixdv server. Following is weblink of XQA and XDV.
XQA: http://rx2n1v1:57400
XDV: http://dbcixdv:57000
After the system copy of XQA, i changed all xdv related parameters (hostname/port) in visual admin and configtool of XQA server.
Now when i run sxmb_ifr tcode in XQA, it should open the link of XQA server ( http://rx2n1v1:57400). But it open the link of XDV server (http://dbcixdv:57000).
The cause of this problem is the xdv parameter entires (hostname/portnumber of xdv) in exchange profile of XQA server (http://rx2n1v1:57400/exchangeProfile).
Now if i change hostname/portnumber of xdv in XQA server (http://rx2n1v1:57400/exchangeProfile), it also make the same change in XDV server (http://dbcixdv:57000/exchangeProfile).
Both XQA and XDV are in differnet hardware server. I don't understand why making changes of exchangeprofile in XQA also changed the value of exchangeprofile in XDV.
Hope it clarify.

I am facing a problem while importing a Crystal Report in SAP Business One, it displaying an error "No matching records found 'Queries' (OUQR) (ODBC -2028) [Message 131-183]" , and there is no use of this table OUQR in the Query.

i don't exactly know why this is a problem, but if your not on latest (881 p10) then upgrade and try again.
Or as a workaround,
try saveing from CR to SAP with the CR add-on. That usualy works better then the import.

After I got this error I upgraded the Kernel from patch level 159 to 179,
After that I restarted the update again but the system is still running on u201CIMPORT_PROPERu201D and dose not given any update,

Here is an outline of series of events that happened:-
We are applying in support packages in SAP R/3 4.6C HR Development
(TFI) environment. We planned with installing all the SP stacks
starting from 1 to 9.
-Updated kernel, tp , r3trans and SPAM level to latest level.
We received the following error in Import_Proper step of Support
package upgrade. Though the step has been repeated after making sure
that we have all the required files at OS level, we go this error
repeatedly.

We tried importing the individual support package SAPKB46C52 from STMS
and the transport cancelled at an earlier step with the same error.

While playing around I have deleted the transport from the tp buffer
and added manually, before doing so I made a backup of tp buffer at OS
level and I got following error though I reverted back to backed-up
copy.
- Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER
- Reason for error: TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY
- Return code: 0008
- Error message: Wrong sequence of Packages in the tp buffer (e.g.
SAPKB46C52 )
I then tried to disassemble the package separately and reran the
import queue. Now I have RC 8 on that support package.
When I did R3trans -l on the datafile it completed successfully.
D:\>R3trans -l \usr\sap\trans\data\RB46C52.SAP
This is R3trans version 6.05 (release 46D - 27.10.08 - 16:32:00).
R3trans finished (0000).
I verified the size of file "CSR0120031469_0023301.PAT" and it is the
same as mentioned in SSP.
Let us know is there is a workaround.

EXCHANGE PROFILE in sap xi

What is the role of EXCHANGE PROFILE in sap xi, i mean where it resides and use of it. Kindly give me links if possible.

Hi Srini,
You can navigate to see the exchange profile in PI from integration builder page-> administration->exchange Profile.
If you expand the exchange profile you can see different parameters maintained against each components of PI.
so exchange Profile is a set of parameters which are used for the complete functioning of PI components.
Please make sure you don't play with the setting without having a proper knowledge of impact of the changes.
Generally we add a parameter If we want to implement any ABAP mapping , other than that i think a developer need not
change anything in exchange Profile.
Most of the parameters are initialized at the time of installation of PI but the system administrator need to maintain them.

SAP ALL profile except BASIS

Hi all,
I need to found a standard SAP ALL profile who has all autorithations except the basis (workbench, etc).
Anyone knows the name for assing it?

Check if the profile Z_ANWEND helps your cause. .
Z_ANWEND: All user authorizations (excluding BC system). You can directly assign the profile to the users.
If you want to go for role option then create a role. The under authorization tab select EXpert mode for profile generation. Then from menu bar choose
Edit->Insert Authorization->From profile.
The generate the profile of this role and assign it to users.
and give the profile Z_ANWEND. Then generate the profile for this role and assign it to the users. Personally I would prefer the role option.
