Problem in Save and Save As Option

Hi All,
I hv developed a swing application in that,
I hv a problem in save and saveas option. When i click "saveAs" and choose a directory the file is getting saved to the directory which i choose. And after that if change anything and click "Save" the file is saved to the default directory i.e the program execution directory.
Is there anyway to change this. Kindly help me.

I believe there are a couple of similar threads about CC or CC2014 behaving this way that might give yo some hints, but CS5 is not supported on your OS and may not run properly regardless of what you do. An in-place OS upgrade or an attempt to migrate the application would both be major problems for ID, so if you did either of those things you'll want to uninstall, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) and reinstall.

Can I Save and Saveas an excel running into a webbrowser (C#)? Permissions problems?

When we open an excel via the Open method we can configure the parameters 'readonly = false' and 'editable = true' to allow saving with Save and Saveas methods avoiding the messages "A file named 'test.xls' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it?"
The problem is that I don't open the Excel file as above . My application (C#) charges the excel in a webbrowser inside a windows form so I prepere a workbook, I open it in the WebBrowser ( with Navigate method, not Open method) and then I assign the WebBrowser document to the application so I could continue to control it
The question is: Is there any way to open this Excel file in a webbrowser with permissions similar to 'readonly = false' and 'editable = true' of the Open method???
- If not, the Save function doesn't work and the saving only occurs when I change the content of the webbrowser ( for instance when I it's executed the line mywebBrowser.Navigate("about:blank", false); ). Moreover It appears the messege "A file named 'test.xls' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it?"
- On the other way, if it can't be done, It`ll never works the Saveas function...
I'd appreciate any suggest!

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows. 
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page. 
 
Another possibility is to use:
* [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences Firefox/Tools > Options] > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

Save and Save As options are greyed out

I have an install of Adobe X Standard. An external source is sending in PDFs which are marked as Secured. However, according to the creator of these documents, only editing has been locked down, not Save or Save As functionality. When I open the document, all Edit functionality, as well as Save and Save As are greyed out.
This is a new install of Adobe X. These documents could previously be saved using the same version of Adobe, but that machine needed to be re-installed due to OS instability. After re-installing Windows 7, then Adobe X, then updating to 10.1.13, these functions are now missing. I have no idea as to why. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Again, I've verified with the original creating that Save functionality shouldn't be disabled.

There is no security setting that locks out save/save as.
Save is greyed out when a file has not yet been changed, so that is normal. Save AS should not be greyed out at all. Don't know why that should happen.

Can Save and Save As dialog boxes be modified to show fewer file type options in CS3?

I'm looking to simplify the choices for the Save and Save As commands to the just the formats that I use on a regular basis to make some repetitive file processing tasks go faster. Is this possible?

Scripting can save to Folders relative to the File’s location or to absolute Folder-paths, so that may be beneficial in Your case.
Scripting can also amend the name a File is saved as, one could even number copies progressively.
It’s naturally easiest (to create, at least) to make one Script per file-format/target-location/name-change, because otherwise creating a dialog is necessary.
The thing I have to admit here, though, is that it would probably take a little time to grasp the matter (JavaScript specifically) – so if You should be under time-pressure already it may not be very useful in the short run.

Grayed Save and Save as in Preview

Hi,
I have noticed that some downloaded PDF documents are unable to save or save as. There seems little predictability as to which documents this occurs with. Is this a function of the document or a setting i have yet to discover in Preview and can it be undone?

I am having the exact same problem under 10.4.11 - there are sites where a certain downloaded PDF has the "save" and "save as" options greyed-out. This isn't the case with all PDF files - only, in my case, files from a particular site.
In my case, I noticed on the very same file on another machine running 10.3.9 that the "save as" option is in fact available. Same thing on my work WinXP PC with Acrobat Reader. So it looks like it's the combination of the file plus the machine which is causing this to happen.
This isn't 100% critical as the files in question are in fact already saved on the disk, as when they're initially clicked they get downloaded before they are opened with Preview. However this is a curious phenomenon.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'm using Firefox version 3.6 on my '02 Mac G4. When I installed it, it worked fine, But then all of a sudden the "save" and "save as" windows stopped coming up at all when I selected "save" anywhere in Firefox. What happened and how do I fix it?

I downloaded and installed Firefox on my '02 Mac G4. It worked great. Now I have version 3.6. But my weird problem is one day when I ran it, the "save" and "save as" windows stopped popping up at all. I'd left click a picture and select "save as" and nothing would happen. I'd go to the menu and select "save" and still no window would pop up. It would just act as if nothing had been clicked. No loading icon or anything and no "save as" window. I've never been able to get it to work. The volunteer in the live support chat typed "That IS weird.." I tried his suggestion but it did nothing. I may have deleted the plist preferences file in the preferences library folder to get it started again after a freeze up threw it out of whack but I've never had this happen before.And i've tried doing that again to see if that would restore it. But the plist always regenerates itself and the "save as " window still never appears when I run Firefox. The "save" window works just fine in every other program on my Mac, but not in Firefox. Weird..

Leliforever, cheek you list of installed add-ons, the Ask toolbar can be installed without the users knowledge.

Indesign Save and Save As Greyed out!!!!!

Why oh why is this still happening - come on Adobe sort this out.
Lost time and Revenue due to InDesign suddenly greying out Save and Save As, which means the only way you can save the document is by exporting as an IDML which then causes more problems with broken links etc. Surely Adobe know about this issue, being as though I have read many forums about this.
The whole Creative Cloud concept is great, but seriously flawed, had issues where I've had notifications of the same updates I have already installed for two weeks after installing them, applications hanging on startup, Creative Cloud app not updating due to errors which quits creative cloud and then you have to start it again in order to start the update process, which invariably does not work, then have to download the latest version from the website.
Too many issues keep cropping up with this suite of software, even though the individual software packages are great when they work!!
This needs investigating and sorting out sharpish!!

I can't use 'save' and 'save as' in Id, Ai and Ps. The window flips away. I've got Adobe CC. The Dutch version.

Yes, it's executable; it tries to execute either way.
The Unix LF through Smultron seemed to work. However, I don't see such an option in nano - only Mac and DOS. (I'm not too concerned, I'm pretty sure I"ll use Smultron on a regular basis to edit these files.)

How to Disable Save and Save a Copy functions in a PDF file

I would like to know how to disable the Save and Save a Copy functions. I have a client that does not want the ability to save for there customers. I also need to make sure that it can not be changed by there customer.
Any suggestions would be greatly helpful.

Once the PDF is viewed on a machine it is already saved there. That is why it is not possible. The only option is to not allow folks to have the PDF at all. You can disable the ability to copy information from the PDF or use SAVE as to put it in a different form without the security. Those are the security features that are available, but with the caveat that many 3rd party products ignore the PDF security and thus your efforts are not warrented if you want true security. The only way to get full security is through a fancy online (and costly) solution.

Manual Save, Programmatic Save, and Save Entire Tab

There’s quite a few nice features native to LabVIEW that makes image capturing easy and convenient. In this post I want to focus on Manual Save, Programmatic Save, and Save Entire Tab.
Manual Save
You can manually right-click any graph or plot during runtime and select Export > Export Simplified Image. Choose a name for your *.bmp image and directory and save an exact image of the graph to disk.
Programmatic Graph Save
This save feature is also available programmatically through LabVIEW methods. When not running, right-click on the graph you’d like to save during runtime and create a reference. Find and select the graph method “Export Image”. Wire the ‘Image Data’ output from the node into one of the image write VIs found in the ‘Graphics and Sound’ > ‘Graphics Formats’ palette. Make sure to append the correct file extension to your path.
Save Entire Tab
Often the graph doesn’t contain all necessary information such as user parameters governing the process. If these setting are available near the graph on a tab control, you can take a screenshot of the open tab and save it to disk. The method is very similar to the single graph save, but simpler since the graph colors don’t need to be altered.
Here you can see the image “graph1 – 11Oct27.bmp” as produced by the above code. Notice the angle cluster and graph title is also captured, giving more context to the displayed data.
