Problem in starting the bi services

i got a problem while running BI services.
Shared services, Analytic services and the License manager are running . i have not configured any database in hyperion configuration utility. here is what I get when I run startCommonServices.bat

I believe you need to configure a repository database for Workspace to run correctly.

We are trying to attempt to fix a Windows 2008 start up problem. We boot the machine from a Windows 2008 CD and go to the repair tool - command prompt.
When we do the command sfc /scannow, we are getting

We did some researches there someone suggested the trustedinstaller is not running so we tried to do a net start trustedinstaller.

SYMPTOMS:
All attempts to run command:
sfc /SCANNOW
keep returning the following message:
"Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service"
SOLUTION:
If you are using any kind of boot image/disk to boot up, you will have to use the "offline" switches (OFFBOOTDIR & OFFWINDIR) along with the SFC /SCANNOW command in order to start repairing your instalation properly.
please remember to tripple-check for corret partition letters, because this is a crucial parameter for SFC to start working properly.
also make sure to confirm whether so called "recovery" partion exists in your specific scenario or not. If so, in most cases this will render the "recovery" partition being the one to be set as a boot partition (OFFBOOTDIR) within sfc command, while Windows
system folder (OFFWINDIR) will actually reside on a different partition.
My scenario is described exactly above and therefore in my case boot partition letter was C: and system partition was D: ...As of that - the proper command line to run SFC successfuly was:
sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\Windows
Successful scan for integrity of all protected system files and replacement of incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions then looks like this:
X:\sources>sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\WindowsBeginning system scan. This process will take some time.Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.logwindir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
Once SFC scan completed, I have run the Startup Repair from the repair dialogue menu prior rebooting the system. Remember to click "Cancel" on the prompt for using the System restore in this step. I am assuming you have tried this already time ago and confrmed
it did not resolve the problem, but most importantly - you really would not want to overwrite the files, which you have just repaired with any possibly corrupted ones ;)
After this I've unplugged bootable USB key with the My Windows Vista Enterprise 64bit setup disk image and restarted computer. System booted up properly on first attempt. No issues have been identified as a result of my post boot checks. This completely
resolved the issue in my case. Should you have questions, please let me know.

Mailbfr not starting the mail services back up

I had mailbfr on a cronjob. Last night after it was done running, it didn't start the mail services back up. I have taken mailbfr out of my cronjobs so my mail server can continue to run. How would I best troubleshoot this?
My cronjob was the most basic of things:
0 2 * * * /usr/sbin/mailbfr -b /mailbfrcronjob --mode incremental

That's exactly what I was trying yo explain. Check first if Server Admin is the problem. If it is, by fixing Server Admin you fix the problem.

Could not start the TNSListener service on Local Computer

I installed Oracle 10g rel 2 under Windows 2000. The computer is DHCP, so I installed the MS loop adapter, and am able to successfully the new IP address.
SQL*Plus returns this error:
ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
When I try to start the listener via control panel > services, I get this Microsoft Management Console error:

That helped somewhat... now I am able to start the listener. However, SQP*Plus now says:
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor.

I'm using dimension4100 for the SQL*Plus Host String in the login window.

When I open Itunes it says,Windows could not start the bonjour service on local computer.

Let's see what happens if we try to start the service manually.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications"
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the Window to better see what's going on.)
Select the Bonjour Service and click "Start".
Do you get an error message then? If so, what does that one say?

I think, then, that the problem is one of permissions. What I've done on Windows 7 installations is to go to the InDesign application folder (in program files), select the InDesign.exe file, use the Context menu (right-click) to display the Properties panel, and then turn on the Run This Program as an Administrator option in the Privelege Level section of the Compatibility tab. Click the Change Settings for All Users button to apply the change (assuming that your current user profile is an Administrator).

EM console - Could not start the OracelDBConsoleSID service

Oracle 10g, Windows Server 2003
I have problem with EM console. When I restart machine OracleDBConsoleSID is stopped.
When I try to start this service:
Could not start the OracelDBConsoleSID service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
And then this service has status: Staring. EM then work for short time but then again service is stopped.
The Database works without any problems.
Please help!

Starting the OLAP Services

Hi,
I don't have much luck in getting the OLAP Service started when I'm evaluating the product (9.0.1.0.0) on Solaris.
When I tried to connect to the OLAP Service Instance Manager from OEM, I got the XPINSMGR-10565 error. And when I tried to start the olap service using the "olap start" command I spotted the error "OES_REQUEST, read fail, error 11" (after setting up the TCP Connection) at the end of the OLAPServicesAgent.log
Is there any document that list out all the procedures/guidelines on making OLAP works? The existing ones doesn't seem to be enough when a problem occurs and I can't find much help online probably because the product is fairly new.

In order to test the cube viewer I created a 3-dimension fact table (with only 20 entries) with a normalized snowflake schema. The cube viewer works fine without the materialized view generated but I did encounter a little problem with the Summary Advisor. I was prompted by the error 'expection VdbSQLException{wstring reason="ORA-30466: can not find the specified workload............' followed by a bunch of error messages when I used the Wizard to create the materialized views. Can you please help?

Try refreshing the Materialized Views by clicking the Analyze button on the General tab within OEM. It may be stale.

OS Error in starting the OCFS Service on windows server 2008

Solved this after some trawling through xml configuration files on the server.
The file C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\owb\j2ee\config\http-web-site.xml contains the reference to keystore.jks:

changing this to:
<ssl-config keystore="C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1/owb/j2ee/config/keystore.jks" keystore-password="->keystoreadmin"/>
and the OC4J container starts successfully.

Getting an error message when trying to reinstall iTunes - 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system services.

After a recent iTunes update my iTunes failed to start. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it again, but during installation an error message pops up saying: 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system services. The three option buttons which can be clicked are 'Abort', 'Retry' and 'Ignore'. I tried pressing ignore, which allowed iTunes to install. However, it seemed that not all parts off the programme installed, as it wouldn't allow me to open iTunes again. Whenever I press retry it just makes the same message pop up again. How can I show that I have 'sufficient privileges'?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

so i was like screw that. well they figured that i got a new phone replacing the LG shine. so they asked
for to call this number so they can recieve data which would updated the system that i have a plam treo 750.
ever since this conflict i can't send picture messages. i get that problem. everytime i attempt to send a picture
i recieve this.

Error while starting the Informatica services

Hi All,
I have installed Informatica on my local machine. All of sudden my Informatica services in services.msc went down. If I start the Informatica service means, it is starting in services.msc. But after few seconds it is again going down in services.msc. Again if I start the service then it is starting and after 15 seconds it is going down again and again. I am not sure with the issue.
Due to that Informatica administrator page is not logging in and also I couldn’t connect to any of the Informatica clients.
I checked the catalina.out file and find the below error message:

Error while starting the shared service server

Hi john,
I am getting the following error while starting the shared service server.
*25 Jul 2009 10:26:39 - org.apache.slide.common.Domain - ERROR - Unable to migrate hub groups to css*
So shared service console is not starting.
Please tell me the solution for it.

Yes,It was working earlier.
When I have added NTLM authentication for FDM I am getting that error,but instead of that if
I am adding the authentication provider as LDAP(CSS) I am not getting that error.
So finally i have added only one authentication provider and that is LDAP(CSS).
I fallowed ur document for integrating the FDM application with planning application.(http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/07/planning-v11-drill-back.html )
For the global logon information I have given admin and password , which I have given while adding the LDAP authentication (CSS).
I am getting machine profile missing error when i clicked on the dimension and the target dimension test box contain connection failed.
Can u suggest me where am I wrong?

Error REP-0001 While starting the Report service

Hi
When trying to start the reports service from 9iAS, i am getting error message as "REP-0001 Unable to open the message file", and in the Window Title it shows "Message 16200 not found, No message file for product rw".

Hi,
You(The user) need to have access permission to read the mesg files. The DBA installing Reports will be able to run the reports.
Grant read access to rwus.msb and rwus.msg files on $ORACLE_HOME/reports/mesg/
Try to run it, should work.

To restart the UCM server, the containing managed server process needs to be restarted.
Please do let me know what could be the possible cause for this error and how to get over it.

Yeah that's what i was also wondering , how it is giving error saying Address is already in use.
because on that system there is only one IDC server is working & it's port is also not assigned to any other instance and only one domain is working.
but when i disabled customized components it stopped giving that error.
or reason for that error may be due to improper shut down of UCM server???
