Problem in viewing Accounts iview through portal.

I am facing problem when i am trying to view the Accounts iView through
portal. The same iView is running well directly through CRM system.
In portal a small window is poped asking for username and password for
Site : crmprd.ssg.local and
Realm : SAP Web Application Server [CP1]
I tried by providing the user name and password of CRM but it's not
working. When I cancel that popped window then that Accounts iView is
displayed but all the tabs and links in that page are inactive.
And also when i am clicking on the any of the tab then at lower left corner of
the browser "access is denied" message is coming.
I will be thankfull for the reply.

The BSP is just a URL as far as the portal is concerned. Just make sure the same URL is being generated as if you called the BSP directly.

I am trying to access Transaction iViews through ITS, we are getting sap easy access menu instead of transaction which we had given during the configuration. Recently we have upgraded ITS 6.20 to Patch level 19. Before applying patch everything was working fine.

Authorization problem to execute a report through portal

Hi All,
One of user while trying to execute report through portal, getting error message saying that
"you are not authorized to execute the report XXXXXXX'
Can not load query <query name> (data provider <data provider name> No authorizations for requested service.
The report is a web template which is getting executed through portal.
User is having all the authorizations to execute the report(report autho as well as infoprovider autho also)
we have regenerated the user roles , done user comparision....every thing is OK.
Still unable to execute the report.
Please advice what can be done in this case....

Are you able to run this report with your user id?
If so check the role or authorization objects which are missing to the user.
And also check whether he got portal roles assigned to his profile.

Problem while uploading text file through portal into WebDAV repository .

Hi all...
I am not able to upload any file through portal onto my webDav repository for remote server however reverse is possible i.e. any document created at remote server is reflected in portal.
Everytime when i try to upload file though portal , i get the following error::
The item could not be created because an exception occurred in the framework.
Kindly suggest what to do....

Have you specified any user information in the webdav repository....Like always connect through this user, in the webdav repsository tab....This user may not have write permission in the windows.
Also are you sure that the user you logged in portal by which you failed to create new files or folders and the user that was able to create file in the windows are one and the same.....

IE warning when viewing payslip iView in Portal

Hi there,
Several years ago, we developed a simple ESS solution in our portal. We have 3 pages - 1 for viewing payslips, 1 for address data, and 1 for bank details. Each of these is an iView that simply runs a transaction in our backend ERP system.
When a user clicks to display the address or bank details, the SAP GUI for HTML screen for these transactions appears - no problem. However, when we click to view the payslip, we are presented with an Internet Explorer message "this page contains both secure and nonsecure items" If we click the OK button, the SAP GUI for HTML screen appears as normal.
I'm assuming that there must be something particular with the payslip transaction that causes this error to appear. The iview for all these screens are set up the same, but its only this 1 iview which gives the error. The transaction being called by the iview is PZ11_PDF.
Our Portal and our ERP system are both NW7.0 SPS18, and both are enabled for https. Both systems have SSL certificates through an external certificate authority. Users are verified between the systems using Tickets.
Can anyone provide a solution, or any insight, into this problem?

In our Portal, we have our ABAP system configured to use SSL. ie. The ITS Hostname has the https port defined in it, and the ITS Protocol is https. Is this the only configuration that needs to occur on the portal?
In our ABAP system, we have an active https port defined - we can see this through transaction SMICM.
Upon further investigation, it appears at though it may be similar to the errors described at...

I conclude this because if I click "No" on the "do you want to display both secure and nonsecure items" popup, i can see the standard IE 404 page tries to be displayed in the main iframe before it is covered by the "correct" iframe content for this transaction. On the 404 page, the images are not being displayed.
Does anyone know any way to correct this, so that the iframe doesn't show a 404 error before it displays the correct content. This is a standard SAP transaction, so i'm not too keen on hacking it apart if there is a better way to do it.

Problem while viewing print preview in Portal(EP7.0)

Hello Experts,
We have prepared an ABAP report which generates an output in print format.We have used standard function module(SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME) and the smartform gets displayed correctly in print preview on R/3 side.But when i create a transaction iview and use this report in portal, the output gets generated in pdf format directly.I do not want to display the report in .pdf format but i would like the users to view the output same as in R/3 format.

I have created a Transaction iview on tcode cm25 and assigned it to a role ABC.
I can view the transaction in Preview but NOT in the Portal.Any help will be appreciated.

Go step by step
first make a new role as a test.
Let say role test. With entry point on top. Assign it to your user.
Add a iview to this role on the top level. An iview that already works.
test. This should work.
Then replace the iview with your iview. If this doesn`t work, the iview settings are to blame.
Then go on step by step
make an iview of the same type with tray on. ....

Problem in calling BSP application through portal

Hi All,
We have EP 2004s and we have integrated a CRM (BSP) application with it .
CRM application is a custom application which contains two frames . The upper frame of this application is developed using BSP and the lower frame is ICWC .
We are calling this application (BSP) in portal using a BSP iView . When calling this application using iView it gives an error as some values needs to be initialized , though all the values have been initialized in controller.
When we are calling the same application using a browser instead of an iView it works perfectly fine .
Can anybody explain me how does portal treats the BSP application.

Problem assigning internet user Role through portal

Hi All,
Please could someone help me with the following:
I am creating a registration process that creates a new CRM Business partner with contact person and internet user roles. When i run the Bapi from with in CRM everything works fine however when i run my jsp dynpage application and call the same bapi, the internet user that i create does not have any of the logon details or roles. Does anyone know why this is? i am using the same user when running in crm and the portal.

Thanks for your reply. answers to your questions:
1. Yes, all portal users are maintained and have the same roles as CUA users. Portal authenticates against CUA.
2. Yes the user is created correctly on the backend. i have created a BAPI that creates users, BP's and assigns roles. This Bapi works perfectly when run in CRM but as soon as it is accessed via the portal the internet user role does not have all the required information.

PortalSessionID Property in BSP iView in Portal

Dear All,
I have created a BSP iView in Portal. This iView displays the start page of SAP Learning Solution
BSP Application named "hcm_learning" which allows the user to run the course he/she booked for in a content player which opens up in a new window.
The issue I faced is, Once i access the BSP iView through portal and click the "start now " button in that iView , it opens up the content player in the new window and runs the course. But when i logged off from portal, it content player is still running and its values are updated in the R/3 table.
How to restrict this?
What is the use of PortalSessionID property in BSP iView in portal?
Kindly help me in sorting out this?

Please make sure the IP matching option is not checked.
You should also check the [user mapping|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/f8/3b514ca29011d5bdeb006094191908/frameset.htm] settings in the portal to see if the portal user is mapped to the same user on the backend.

Hi,
Login to portal with a user having content administration role.
Navigate to your iview which must be under content provide by SAP(if its a standard iview).
Open the iview and click on preview button.
Then press ctr on keyboard and rightmouseclick on the field for which you want to change.
A popup will open. Change the visibility in the popup and save the changes. This is a way of personalization and it'll be applicable for all the users.

Error in viewing reports through Portal favorites.

Kindly check in the report's external link in KM.What is the iView its using?
then check in content administration whether that particular iview is available or not?
If that iView is not available then change the link.then it should work.

Go to Iview Property in portal Content managment and take the PCD location.
It may look something like this
ROLES:portal_content/ZABC/ZPROJECTS/com.abc.ZPortfolio/com.abc.ZPortfolio/com.abc.ZRoles/com.abc.ZPortfolioReconle/com.chep.ZReconciliation/com.chep.ZReconEnquiry_IView
Create a string variable with the PCD location
String pcdLocation = <pcd location>
And call using the iview using the following code
WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(pcdLocation, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,"&reference="+reference);
Here &reference is the application parameter, if the application with which the iView is created has parameter and is not mandatory.

Viewing the discoverer reports through portal

How can i view oracle discoverer reports through portal .Suppose
i have portal page where i want to create few links on clicking
of which these reports are renderer on the portal.

The cluster server element 125898350 is not added in the EP cluster context,
because prtbridge on 125898350 is stopped or not yet started
(maybe the server is starting or shuting down).
We have implemented the FPN using RRA.
This error comes only for few users when they navigate in Portal. After clearing the cache, it works for all. Kindly help us to resolve this issue.
