Problem installing CS6

I am having trouble installing CS6 on MacOS X lion. I enter the serial number and then select the install location. The next screen say's preparing to install, but nothing happens.

Which CS6 product and What is the version of the Mac OS X you are on ?
At which stage of the installation does it freezes ?

Problems installing CS6 on new hardware

My purchase of CS6 was an upgrade from CS5. The device those were installed on is now dead and I am loading software on a new PC. When I attempt to enter the serial number I received upon purchasing the upgrade I get a message that there is no qualifiying product on the PC. There of course is not, becuase the device that CS5 was installed on is now dead. Do I have to figure out a way to install CS5 on this new device and then install CS6 on top of that? That seems like a crazy approach, but . . .

(and thank goodness I still had that old CS5 box around - sometimes the packrat streak comes in handy).
The boxes don't really matter that much since you can usually re-download the installation files online.
But keep all your serial numbers safe and handy at all times. I store mine in a text file locally and in a text file on Dropbox so that I've always got access to them. Serial numbers are the only thing you buy that are unique to you when you buy software. Other than yourself and Adobe (if you registered) no-one here can help you with missing serial numbers.
When you re-install CS6 using your upgrade serial number, you'll always need your CS5 serial number to verify it.

Problem installing CS6 on second computer

Hi, I am trying to install CS6 design standard on a second Apple laptop. It runs on my older Mac Book, but in the licence it is said I can use it on two devices. Downloading was easy, but when I typed my serial number, it says there's is no qualified product found on my computer. I just downloaded that so, thats weird?

There is nothing weird about what you encounter. The message indicates you are installing an upgrade license version of CS6 and it is unable to find the older product on the machine that qualifies you for using the upgrade. It should be providing you with the option to select that older qualifying version and enter the serial number for it.

Problems installing CS6 Upgrade on Win7 64Bit

I purchased the upgrade from CS4 to CS6 Design and Web Premium. I've tried 4 times now to install, with varying degrees of success. The first attempt installed about half the products and gave an enormous error list. The second installed everything except Acrobat and InDesign. Subsequent attempts to install just these two additional programs always give an "Installation Failed", and a seemingly common problem across all latest versions and operating systems of the installer failing to access certain files/folders.
EDIT: The installer also always says that the machine needs a reboot, when it has just been re-booted and certainly doesn't! I continue anyway.
I have already cleared the Temp folder with no difference, and NIS2012 is disabled during the install.
Any ideas of how to get these vital last two programs to install please?

Mylenium, I've checked for any instances of ther installer, and rebooted, several times - same result.
I've also uninstalled, rebooted, and then done a new install of CS6. This gave the following errorlog, and rolled back the installation of Acrobat after a desktop icon had appeared, and also InDesign.
Much closer to a working install this time, but says it can't find some language specific files, abd I still get one 'file in use error'. Would it be worth dowbloading the 'trial' installer disc (if that's possible), as I guess it's still early in the CS6 release cycle?
I've downloaded the Cleanup utility, but a brief look at the instructions worries me as it seems to say it will delete all CS related user files (presumably it deletes the folder tree), and will it leave my working CS4 alone as I'm stuck otherwise?

Does anyone have problems installing CS6 Master Suite from a DVD on a Mac?

I'm trying to install the CS6 Master Suite on a mac that has OS X Moutain Lion on it. I keep getting an error message that the software can't be verified and that it may be counterfeit. I purchased the DVD from Adobe directly and it appears to have the proper paper work that signifies that it is a legal copy. I have been in contact with tech support and they tried to help but it didn't work. Also, Adobe certified the serial number so there isn't anything wrong with it. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. The only problem that I have with downloading the trial is that A) I have DSL internet connection and it is extremely slow when downloading such a large file. That is why I opted to get the DVD. Because my optical drive kept spitting out the DVD, it has a few scratches on it. Will this create problems if this problem is corrected in the future? Should I request a new DVD? Also, B) there are features in the Master Suite that are not included with the trial download. Once I have most of the other programs downloaded and installed, how can I get the other features in the full version of the Master Suite that are not included in the trial?

Problems installing CS6 with software disc

I just purchased the student/teacher version of CS6 extended and when I insert the disc to install the software, nothing happens. I disabled my firewall and even tried to install it manually by going to setup, but no setup.exe file exists on the disc. I use windows. Please help!

Problems installing CS6

I recently had to uninstall and re-install my CS6 software on my laptop due to InDesign and Illustrator not opening even when started in safe mode. Most of the applications were unable to be installed again due to an error code, reading" OS requirements not met. I have Windows 8 on my laptop and this is the same laptop I had it on before. Why won't it install? I am a student at The Art Institute and really need my software for assignment.

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on disk. I went to install it today and when the installation got to 2%, it stated "Please insert disk AdobeDesignWebPremium6-EnglishJapan to continue". I only have the one disk. Why is it asking me for another one? I see others have the same problem, but were downloading from the website. Someone please help me. It would take forever for me to download, that is why I purchased the disk. I'm desperate and behind on my work (as I was supposed to receive the disk weeks ago, and it just came to me today).

Problem installing CS6 D&W Premium onto 2nd machine (HELP!)

A while back, I purchased the CS6 Design and Web Premium package from Best Buy and installed it onto my Mac (via a physical disc). I am under the impression that I should be able to install it onto a 2nd machine also, but my Surface Pro 2 (the machine of choice) has no CD drive, and the serial number I registered the first time around is being declined (after trying an internet download/installation). What am I doing wrong? Should I have received 2 serial numbers with the product?

According to this source and some others, Creative Cloud was spawned out of this (it is referenced in the article).
But either way, it doesn't matter. I'm not blaming Adobe or anyone else for this, but it's incredibly painful to have spent that much money on an anniversary present for my wife and I, as it has been our plan for a while now to learn this software together (The Continuing Education course where we live requires you to have the software/hardware before attending the course), only to realize down the road the person who sold me the software was misinformed about it being "multi-platform" and perfect for what I was looking for.
I'm not trying to swindle anyone or take anything out of turn. I'm not trying to be a jerk, or an unruly customer. I'm just at a huge loss and have no other route to take, other than to ask the staff of a big-company forum if they could help me fix this in any way at all... :-/

I have just purchased a new windows 7 professional machine and want to load my stand alone Photoshop CS6 - when loading it is asking me to choose a product from a drop down menu however CS6 is not a choice, how do I load my CS6 on my new machine?

You have downloaded an upgrade installer/ used an upgrade serial number. Either download the correct full installer or find a serial number from a previous product you supposedly would have bought back then.

If the words "qualifying product" are part of what you read in that message, it is indicating that you are installing an upgrade version and since it cannot find an older version on the machine it is asking you to identify the older version you are upgrading from and then provide its serial number as proof that you qualify for the upgrade.
