Problem installing Java Applications

Hi there, i have problems installing Java Applications (from Ovi and from another source). The Apps from stores quit with just "there was a error", the other App is more detailed:
Interner Fehler: Jsr plugin com.nokia.mj.impl.chapi.core.utils.
ServiceProviderInstaller cancelled installation
Is it possible that the Java-Handler is missing or faulty? Can this handler be manually installed? Thanks Gerd (E7-00 Anna, clean installation after hardreset)

To fix this, install the following java_symbian_anna_fix.sis file: http://dl.nokia.com/ns/java_symbian_anna_fix.sis .
Note: During the installation the file will give the warning message: Application not compatible with phone. Continue anyway. Select yes to proceed.

I finally managed to connect my Nokia 6275i to PC suite 6.8 via Bluetooth but now I have other dilemma ....
How do I install Java application or game ?
I downloaded dictionary and game as well ( *.jar) but when I want to install it I can't select my phone. In connection manager the phone is grayed out so I can't select it.
Other applications like Backup, managing contact ... do work fine.
Any ideas what to do ?

you disagree to this and pay $40 for a connectivity cord only to find out they really really wanted you paying that $10 a game...

Problem running java applications on Mac Mini.

I have a Mac Mini. Days ago, I started having problems running java applications. Right now, I can not run any java application or even a plugin into a web page.
I downloaded and reinstalled java from Oracle website, but the problem remains unsolve.
Anyone can help me?

What error indications do you get? You have to enable error logging in the Java Control Panel to see the details.

Problems installing downloaded applications

I am having problems installing downloaded applications. After I download an application, I can see it in my "downloads" folder. When I double click it, instead of finding the package, I am taken directly to my "terminal" screen, and then cannot install. Is there a setting that is the problem, and if so, how can I correct it? I have read the post above but cannot really follow the advice & it doesn't seem to help me. I have downloaded two applications which do not load; (1) a plugin for Photoshop & (2) some Nokia sync software for my phone. I can see the downloads, but with (1) - which is a .dmg file - when I click on it, it does nothing; doesn't open or install anything. With (2), it tells me it is downloading to 'Macintosh HD'; but when I look on the HD I cannot see it anywhere.

I'm having problems installing Java 1.6. I've run software updates several times and the Java 1.6 has not come up for me to install. Could someone please send me a link or other fix for this?

According to your profile, you are on 10.4.11? Java 1.6 is for Mac OS 10.5 - see here:

So, there is no "fix" - that Java update is for an operating system you do not have; therefore Software won't and shouldn't find it.

Why can`t I install java applications on E50???

When I try to install java applications on my E50, at the end of installation I receive the message "Unable to install"

The E50 has Java installed; a version of Java known as J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) a.k.a. MIDP/CLDC. Make sure you are trying to install Java apps made for J2ME (MIDP/CLDC), and not, e.g., J2SE (Java 2 Standard Edition) which is for PCs.
Also, check this setting: menu > Tools > App.mgr > Options > Settings > Software installation > All

I have developed an application for Mobile devices[ Windows Mobile] exclusively using Java[AWT].When I try to install , the application in mobile, i got the following error.
*"MIDlet cannot be installed because critical information is missing from the MIDlet file (.jar). - 13 Please contact the MIDlet provider for more information."*
I didnt use any midlet classes in my application. So my question is, what the above error denotes? and How to install
java[AWT] application into mobile?. What are all the requirements to install the application?.

The problem was with the JVM which is im used in my Windows Mobile. And im installed CrE-ME in my mobile
to execute java application.

Cannot install java application on E90

Dear members,
I wonder if anybody can help me. I've recently switch from 9500 to E90. I use to be able to install java games and application on the 9500 but I cannot install the same on the E90. Installer start the setup but stops with "unable to install" prompt. I have already update the software to 300.34.84 firmware but still same problem. Any idea?

Problem installing Java EE 6 windows.

I have downloaded the Java EE 6 SDK windows installer. I find that
it progresses to about 40% or 75%, but then refuses to progress any further.
I have Windows 7 64 bit.
What do I do to find an installer for 64 bit Windows and 64 bit Linux that will finish installing?

I have run as administrator and found exactly this problem.
The User Interface for the EE 6 JDK is a bit buggy, but I have found that if I resize the lower edge of the window
on an off while it installs, I can successfully get through to 100%.
However, even then, I can't find where it puts javaee.jar v6.
Where does this file go? Is it now only included as a new version of a newer jar inside Glassfish 3, or not?
I just can't install Java EE 6, and have tried downloading the installer again with no success.
Could someone help?

Problem Installing Oracle Applications 11i on

Gurus.. Please help...
I am trying to install oracle applications 11i on Windows XP Professional and for some reason the process is getting stuck at :
Step 3 of 5
Command: c:\oracle\proddb\9.2.0\temp\PROD\adrundb.cmd

I have tried several times and everytime it is getting stuck at this stage only.
I am installing in language English only... and selected most of the options defaulted by the system.
The system doesnot give any error message but get stuck at this point for hours. Couldn't figure out the problem... Please throw in some ideas... Thanks in advnance...

Check the install log, this will tell you what happened with the file that was having problems. If you want to email the log to me i will have a look. But a lot of people have the same problem with this file so it's easy to fix.

Problem installing Java

Hey im having a problem with Java, tried to install the latest version and i get this message saying i already have it installed and do i want carry on the installation which i do ... then i get a message saying
'windows installer' "this action is only valid for products which are installed"
I have no java icon in my control panel, im thinking i may have got rid of java somehow but my pc thinks i have it but i have no java or update in my add remove programs and again no icon in my control panel at the bottom ..
Is there anyway i can get a fresh install of java ?
and sorry if this message is slightly confusing,im not the best at these things ! If you need any screen shots or other imformation then just ask ..

No thats not worked either .. basically my pc is sayin i already have it installed,but i can assure u it isnt workin, is there any way to completey remove all java bits and install from stratch ? i keep tryin the java 6 update 10 version but sayin i already have it !

I have problems installing jre-7u6 on Mac OS Lion 10.7.4. Downloaded the latest version for this OS from the following link http://jdk7.java.net/download.html.
Installation is normally and correctly. But when I try to see in the terminal with the command "java -version" still shows the old version, the new version is not installed.

You're reasoning it the wrong way around dude. You should find a mac forum to ask this. The reason is very simple - you need mac users which have run into this before and know how to fix it. Where are you likely to find them?
Well there are likely SOME mac users here, but not as many as on a mac forum...

Problem installing new applications.

I got a Macbook running Lion. The problem is whenever i download an applications Setup it crashes.
I can see the app open on the dock (as i'm able to see the icon there), but nothing happens if I click them it crashes and auto closes. Any suggestion?

I suspect you have already thought of it, but I would contact the software manufacturer (Adobe, right?) for help. I had a similar experience with different software and it turned out the the code was not included.
I would also try to (after removing whatever Pacifist installed) install the application from the software included with your scanner.

I've just finished a java application to my University, I used Forte for Java and the Timer that comes with it, it works fine, but, when I try to run it from outside Forte, it's just impossible, I even create a .jar file(with Forte 4), but when I try to run it from Forte, it tells me this:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/netbeans/examples/lib/timerbean/TimerListener
Exception in thread "main"
it seems that it's a problem with the Timer, why??
And when I try to run it from the explorer (Windows), by double clicking the file, it tells me:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Could not find the main class. Program will exit!
But how is that possible??, it works fine with Forte. That's my problem, I need to take it to the teacher, but I can only run it from Forte now. What can I do??? Any suggestions?. I Hope that somebody can help me, please.

This sounds like a problem with the classpath. I was facing similar error with another application. Finally I ended up unzipping the class files and putting them in a directory that was in my class path.
Or you could explicitly specily your classpath.
Say your application (called app) is in c:\java\app and your classes are located in c:\java\classes\ where classes is directory run it like:
c:\java>java -cp c:\java\classes[;second path] app
hopefully it works.

Problem installing Java Studio creator2

I was trying to install Java Studio Creato 2 but due to some reason i had to manuaaly "end task" the installation. It was installing Sun java server 8 at that time.
But now every time i try to install it again it hangs up at around 17% and doesnt moves further for more then 30 min.
I tried deleting the temporary files butthta didnt helped
please help me install it

There is also the \windows\system*\productregistry file that might prevent a new installation. I don't know when it's created during the installation but you might want to look if you have one and rename/delete it.
