[Problem] Noise/Rustle with iPhone headphones

Hi guys,
first of all i must apologise for my english, it is not my native language, but hopefuly you will understand what i'm saying. Second of all, this may not be a very big deal for some of you, but it is for me and i'm very sure for others too.
The actual problem is a noise/rustle that i hear whenever i plug in my headphones into the iphone. It is like when you listen to the ocean through a sea shell . It really bothers me and i don't think this is an acceptable flaw. The courious thing is that this doesn't happen if i use the "line out" connector from behind the dock (maybe the mic connector and the amplifier are by-passed). Does enyone has the same problem or know the answer to this one? If you don't know how to test this, please follow these instructions:
1. open iPod aplication on your iPhone and start playing any song;
2. pause the song;
3. move the volume knoob at minimum
(At this point) Did you noticed a small pinch? I'm guessing that is the amplifier switch off (so maybe is it ok?)
4. move the volume knoob to the right (the pinch noise kicks again but with that also comes the noise i described upper in this post - sea shell noise)
i've checked this with some of my friends and only one of them reported a similar result. what could be the problem?
i was also thinking this is because of low impedance and high sensitivity of the headphones.
Thanks in advance,
aveul

Do you get the same noise when you connect a different set of earphones to the iPhone?

  • Problems sending emails with iPhone 3G and outlook exchange

I have a problem sending email with exchange. Receiving and answering mail works fine and calender updates work fine. However when I initiate an email from the phone it syncs and ends up in the sent folder in the computer but never reaches the recipient. I have tried this many times with different recipients and phones. It only happens from my iphone and ipad. Any suggestions?
    Any help much appreciated

The iPhone you returned is still syncing against your server and locking out your account. Someone possibly has access to your mail data. I'd recommend having your Exchange Administrator install the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E6851D23-D145-4DBF-A2CC -E0B4C6301453&displaylang=en) and attempt to wipe/delete/block that other iPhone.

  • Greetings Community:  I have a problem with my headphone jack: no sound.  The problem is not with the headphones... the jack just does not transmit any sound... any ideas how to fix this?  It seems to be a rather strange problem.  Thanks for your help.

Any ideas on how to fix a problem with a headphone jack on my
desktop power Mac (mid 2007).  I don't have a clue on this one.
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
...on my desktop power Mac (mid 2007)
Are you sure you don't have a Mac Pro? The last of the PowerMac desktops were discontinued in August 2006.
What does "About this Mac" (in the Apple menu) say about the processor type?

  • Is anyone having problems synching itunes with iphone 5 ?

I have a Pc with windows XP.  I can't download my itunes library to my iphone 5s.  I could with iPhone 4.
I have the latest version of itunes on my computer.
I've been told by Apple and Verizon that my computer is too old and doesn't have the necessary drivers to run iphone 5.
Is anyone else having this same problem?  Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I don't wnat you to have any issues with your device, tracybayne! Let's get to work to make sure we get you up and running. Have you been able to try to reset the network settings in your phone? The best way to do that is to go into Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. The phone will power cycle and then you will need to re-type in all the wi-fi passwords again. Once that is done, please re-test it out. Keep us posted.

  • Problems syncing music with iPhone

I have an iPhone 5, 64GB running iOS 7.0.4.  Problems with syncing music.  Please read all
For a while now I have been experiencing some difficulty with my music on my iPhone.  There were a few purchased songs and some non-purchased songs (from CDs etc) that weren't going on my iPhone when syncing.
So tonight I tried to fix this and I selected to not sync all music (so all the songs could be removed from my phone) and then re-sync it all.  This gave me a problem as it said 124 of my songs were not copied (these song files are definitely not corrupt or anything, they were on my phone before I synced this evening).  So I tried to do the whole sync once again but I don't know what has happened this second time...
My phone is now showing 20GB of 'Other' data (this wasn't on there before).  I cannot add hardly any of my music as apparently my phone has no space left (I can assure you less than 2 horus ago I had about 28GB of free space, and that was when I had my 28GB of music already on my phone!).
So yet again I try to re-sync my music (when I do this I tick/untick the 'Sync Music' checkbox in the Music tab of my iPhone in iTunes).  I want to try and remove all the songs and then re-add them again.  But I cannot remove the songs.  There are 5 songs (I purchased these songs from iTunes store on my Mac) that will not delete from my phone.  I delete them manually on my phone but as soon as I sync my phone (even with the Sync Music box UNticked) they go straight back on there!
I'm normally quite good with this stuff but I'm at a complete loss.  It has been stressing me out for the past 2 hours and now it's worn me down I just have nowhere else to turn.
    1) How can I remove those 5 stubborn songs from my iPhone?  Perhaps answers to later questions means I might not have to do this but I'm a little OCD and knowing that there are these 5 songs that for no reason won't remove themselves off my phone is annoying.
    2) How can I check or fix the 20GB of Other data?  There is definitely nothing there.
    3) How do I re-sync all my music?  I have 4268 songs but when I tried to re-sync the first time only 4125 went on.  The rest didn't but I don't know why.  The files are fine, they were legally purchased etc.  In fact I have one album with 100 songs, only 4 of them were synced that time.  Randomly 96 of them had no space to sync?  Why would only some of them go on my phone?
    4) Any help whatsoever!  I'm at a loss of what to do   This has troubled me ever since 7.0.3.

If I restore as new will all my music, contacts, apps, message history, etc be deleted?
Okay before I try that I had one more go at syncing...
I went to settings and usage and deleted my music that way.  I re-synced my phone, all my music went on except that the first 49 songs, under Song List, all play the same song.  When you click on any of the first 49 songs in the song list they all play the same song (not the song they should be playing).  I deleted this one song off my iTunes but it has had no effect.  When I uncheck sync all songs then my Music shows No Content (which sounds good).  But when I re-sync, all my music goes on (apparently) but I have these 49 copies of this one song that shouldn't be on there.  The file is even no longer in my iTunes Media folder on my Mac.  I guess there must be something corrupt on my phone, although I'm not sure how it has occured.

Hi everyone.  I just recently ran into a problem with accessing the Lion Wiki with my iPhone.  Worked a week or so ago.  I checked the logs and here's what I found:

  • Problem using earphones with iPhone 4S

I cannot play music on my iPhone 4S through earphones - I only get static even though the iPhone speaker works fine. The same earphones work fine with my iPod and other stereo inputs and I've tried multiple earphones with the same result. This just started to happen today.  The phone is only about 8 or 9 months old but Apple wants to charge me to ask a question about this. What might cause the problem?

If the same earphones work fine with your iPod and with other stereo inputs and the same with multiple earphones, it sounds like your iPhone has a hardware problem with the earbuds port.
Apple offers free telephone service for 90 days after the purchase date and for a full two years after the purchase date with the AppleCare extended warranty. If not, they would be fielding all sorts of non-critical calls such as how do I turn my iPhone off that are covered in the user guide and all over the internet with a simple Google or internet search along with plenty of info available here.
AppleCare will request the $29 fee or whatever the amount is upfront and if it turns out to be a problem that cannot be resolved by any other means besides an exchange under warranty, the fee will be credited.
Or you can make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby where there is no charge to inspect, test, and run a hardware diagnostic and if an exchange under warranty is required, you walk out with the exchange.

  • Jambox had no problem to connect with iPhone 4 S but my new iphone 6 can not see the jambox. Any solution known?

I used my jambox with the iPhone4S via bluetooth without problems. Now i changed to the new iPhone 6 and the new phone can not see the jambox. Is that known and what solution is available?

    Hey rjdit,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are having trouble connecting to 3rd party devices. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

  • New iPod behaving differently with iPhone headphones

I just had an iPod Touch go bad and had it replaced at an Apple store. I aslo have some "iPohone" headphones that have the answer button. On my first iPod the answer button would work as a pause and play button, but on my newer one it's not doing that....I REALLY liked having this feature. Does anyone know what the difference might be?

I have the same problem with my iPod Touch using Apple headphone. The remote worked well for months, then stop working until now - rendering them pretty useless, mic still work thought...
I tried everything, even restoring the iPod. Nothing worked, this is a iPod OS software glitch that Apple doesn't seem willing to fix anytime soon. As a result, I'm barely using my Touch since it's a pain in the a*s having to take it out of the pocket, unlock, etc., everytime I want to pause or skip track. Stupid move here Apple, FIX THIS ASAP APPLE...

  • I lost my iphone and activated my number with an old phone. Problem is people with iphones are now sending me blank texts. How do I fix this?

I had an iPhone 4s but left it on my car and drove off.  Now I have activated a temporary phone my mom had on hand (Lotus) while I save up for a new iPhone.
Is there a list out there in cyber space somewhere that lists all the iPhone numbers because now people who have iPhones send me blank text messages?  I have been able to isolate this down to only happening when they send me an "iMessage" but I don`t understand why I keep getting them?  Even people I had never texted with before losing my phone are sending me these blank messages.  How do I fix this?

If you registered you iPhone with Apple you may want to try unregistering it by:
    Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on ">" to the right of the phone listing
    Click "unregister"
This may help unregister you iPhone with the iMessage server, allowing texts sent to you from iPhones to be sent as normal SMS/MMS rather than iMessages.

  • Syncing Problem in iTunes with iPhone 5

I successfully synced my iPhone 5 this morning in iTunes for the first time but now I wish to update and sync again, it won't let me!!! What has changed?

You're running on WIN? Make sure you are having the latest iTunes ver installed. If that doesn't work for you, try using another notebook/pc fresh install iTunes and plug in your iPhone and authorized it. Then start your backup/restore if needed. Fresh restore iPhone may fix your problem on sync-ing on your original notebook/pc

  • Manual backup problem to Mac with iPhone 5

    Hello,
I've been trying to do a manual backup of my iPhone 5 to my Mac, but I keep getting an error message. I had even erased the phone and started over (to clear memory as well) but even that didn't help. I have the latest iOS installed (6.1.4). Can anyone help with this? It backs up to iCloud fine, but not to iTunes (also the latest version, 11.0.5). Thanks!

  • HT1222 Is anyone having problems accessing server with iPhone 4S once updated to iOS7?

I can't reach the server now that I've updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 7. Interestingly, I am using my iPad 2, which was updated at the same time, to post this! Anyone else having server issues with updates...and, in particular, updates of iPhone 4Ss and iOS7? Thank you!

Yes. I had an iPhone 3G and when upgraded to 6.1 the bluetooth connectivity failed progressively and eventually the phone just wouldn't connect. I broke and reestablished the pairing am few times and each time it would work for a while then disconnect to the extent I thought the bluetooth hardware in the car was failing. I then got an iPhone 5 and the same issue remained. In the last few days I've paired an old Blackberry with the car kit to rule out the BMW hardware. Blackberry is fine so it has to be iOS incompatibility.

  • Problems pairing tuareg with iPhone 4

Please help, how pair the iPhone 4 with VW Tuareg 2010?

    Hello Hembanna,
For the issue you describe I recommend this article named iPhone: Troubleshooting a cellular data connection found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3780.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
    Restart your iPhone.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update. Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update. Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try toggling it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still does not, contact your carrierto report the issue.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Restore the iPhone as new.
    Contact your carrier to:
Verify that the iPhone is properly set up on the account with the appropriate, current data plan.
Verify that there are no account-related blocks.
Find out if there are specific error messages in the carrier logs that could help determine why the issue is occurring.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • TS3899 Problem getting emails with Iphone 6

Hi, I used i phone 3 before and I used 3 email accounts before.
    I bought a i phone 6 3 days ago.
I set up all 3 email accounts, but 2 of them cannot get emails.
Only one account is getting email.s
The other two accounts are hotmail and my university account that uses office 365 server.
    How can I fix it?
I did deleting and adding new accounts several times.
But it does not fix the problem/

What happens when you try to get mail? Is it only receiving mail that is having the problem? Have you checked the accounts to ensure you have all of the correct username and password credentials on each of the accounts?
