    Hi,
    Reason for this failure is that the test executable is not present in the HLK controller.
    It looks like a Microsoft issue. We have faced same type of problem for other tests also. Our problem gets fixed in HLK 10056.
    If you face the problem in current build also, then please log a bug to Microsoft.
    Thanks,
    Arpo

  • Inquiries about HLK with Windows10

    1. When we submit .hckx file (submission), Is 'EV code siging certificates' required?
       We saw that when we want submissions(including HCK/Download Signatures), Standard Code signing certificate is ok as well. right?
    2. If we want to validate the driver on all OS(XP~10), What sholud we do?
    3. No signature driver was loaded in Technical Preview version(Build 10049).
       So, driver having no signature, can be loaded in formal version?
    4. How can we inquire the more detailed information? Where can we contact?

    Hi Rachel,
    REgarding your second query, for Win7 and above (except Win10) , you have to use HCK 2.1 kit. For below OSes you have to use WLK1.6. For Win 10 , you can use HLK kit.
    For forth query, you can contact [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Mudit

  • Windows 10 preview, problem logging in

    I can't log into my Yosemite server from a VirtualBox machine running Windows10 (why? it's free).  It logged in fine with Snow Leopard server, but when I upgraded I can no longer log in.  The fix for Window 7 or 8 doesn't work.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Is there any error message when these app open failed? Under this situation, it would be better to create a new account to test if it is user profile problem.
    In addition, you can try to use sfc /scannow command to fix system componments for test. If no use, using
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth instead.

    http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t520/downloads/DS032124
    Diese haben in der neuesten Version auch eine Unterstützung für Windows 10 erhalten.

  • Updating Yoga 2 Pro from Win 8.1 to 10 - dialog window problem!

    Hi.
    I have downloaded the image (https://www.microsoft.com/da-dk/software-download/windows10) and created a bootable USB stick with that image. And when I boot from the USB stick, it starts out fine. BUT when the window with the Install dialog appears, it's så tiny (7cm x 6cm) that it's completely impossible to see the text - let alone hitting the radio-button with the mouse! I cannot change the display in any way during the install, so I have no option than to cancel the installation. I do NOT want to install win 10 from the net, as I did that yesterday on my Lenovo t400s, and that s*cks big time. It installs on the old Win 7 and keeps the old config, and I presume that this is the reason it performing really, really bad. So in other words, I want a clean install on a clean partition.
    This is not new to me and this Yoga 2 PRO! As I am writing this - on my desktop PC - and is logged on to the net on the Yoga, "Intel Update Manager" appears on the desktop and the dialog window is 7 cm wide and 6 cm in hight, at the text 1 (ONE!) mm in hight!  And it does not help to change the displays settings to 800x600, the dialog box stays the same size :-(
    I have the same problem when installing Office 2007, the dialog box is 7 x 6 cm, but here the text is size 10/11 and there is no scrolling possibilities - so it is not possible to make a custom installation because I have no other way to install, than to hit Enter! And when I come to the dialog where I have to enter the key, do a copy/paste of the key from a text document and hit Enter once again!
    So in other words .... HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP :-)
    I have tried the search option before starting this message, but cannot find anything :-(
    Have a nice day :-)
    /Frank

    have you tried WindowsKey + the "plus" key to make the window look bigger (WindowsKey + esc to escape out of the zoomed view) ?

  • Windows10 wont connect to Scanner function but works with printing function

    Just completed upgrade to WIN10.  Printing function works fine -- shows the exact product name HPE 18113 (5520 series)but when I try to scan it tries to connect to HP 5520 series (net) and then says not able to connect.   I've checked everywhere I can think of to see if I can change the from that generic 5520 series (net) to HPE 181113 (5520 series) which how it connected before upgrade & how the printer works.My connection between ALL in ONE printer & PC  is wireless so I tried to go under Network Security setting to enable Webscan BUT it goes to HP page that is not available either!   Help!  Is anyone else having this problem?

    I have a All In One 6620, purchased in April 2012 when I bought an entirely new computer system with Windows 8 and my two year old HP printer wouldn't wouldn't work with the new system. I'm having the same problem with the scanner not working now that I have downloaded Windows10. I also can't figure out anything to make it work. It looks like there is no driver available it. That would be my guess as everything I check on the site says everything is up to date and yet, nothing is working.

  • Y40-70 AMD R9 m275 stuck low MHz problem report

    My laptop y40-70 has 8G RAM, i7-4510u, R9 m275x 2G, 256G SSD. I have both win8.1 and win10 installed right now. have 3 problem to report.
    Problem 1: after receive 15.200.1046.2 driver on my Lenovo Y40-70 windows 10 10240build , I got infinite blue screen on every boot up with message"internal power error".
    I already try reinstall windows 10, I try install video card driver from official Lenovo support for Y40, the driver vision is 15.200.1050, no blue screen at all and it would makes the windows updata auto skip the new 15.200.1046.2 updata. I also try reinstall windows10 and just let windows updata download and install all drivers, the blue screen comes out again after it install the new 15.200.1046.2 driver.
    Plz fix this.
    Problem 2: this problem exited for long times ago, the AMD R9 M275 on Lenovo Y40-70 randomly drop/stuck low frequency around 300-400Mhz within some 3D games, mostly in GTA5 , by random, I mean, random. Like in GTA5, GPU-Z shown that it sometimesdrop and stuck to 300 Mhz at only 68℃, which is like just start the game 3 mins, and the game drop to 14fps; But sometimes even start the game for 1 hour, and the GPU gets 85℃, it reminds 925Mhz, the game would stay above 30fps.
    This problem not only happened to me, but also a lot of Chinese Y40 user, if you go 百度贴吧and go Y40贴吧, you could find many people have the same problem.
    and in Lenovo NA forum:Y40 r9 m275 stuck at 300 mhz - Lenovo Community people have the same issure but Lenovo does not give a sht.
    please dont tell me to plug in charger set high performance those kind of stuff, I already did, and I install all drivers from official Lenovo Y40 driver support site and AMD driver site.
    Problem 3: with Official 15.7 driver installed (15.200.1046.0) from AMD driver site ,
    In windows 10 10240, GTA5 laggy as hell when scene change fast such as driving, but when you slowly or evern just stand, the fps would remind steady with no lag.
    In windows 8.1, GTA5 no lag at all with the same in game setting as in windows 10, besides the GPU random drop low Mhz problem, tha game runs smooth.
    please fix these annoying problems. SRRY for my bad English.

    Stephen,
    You report is a Kernel Panic report. It appears your computer is crashing when OS X "sees"
    com.avatron.AVExFramebuffer 1.7
    com.avatron.AVExVideo 1.7
    I would recommend either updating the apps that use those files or following the developers instructions or uninstalling them. It also appears you have upgraded the RAM on your computer. Kernel Panics can frequently be RAM related and iMacs are sensitive to RAM. The causes can be:
    Incorrect RAM
    Failed RAM
    Unseated RAM
    You can tell fairly easily if the KP is caused by RAM by removing the upgraded RAM and running with the original Apple RAM. If the KP's disappear you know it's a RAM issue, then it's a simple matter of determining which of the three RAM problems it is.

  • Trying to update to windows10 from 8.1 but keep getting error C1420127.

    trying to update to windows10 from 8.1 but keep getting error C1420127.  I believe it is an update. Any help would be appreciated...

    I had that problem; and fixed it this way;
    The example grub.conf is like this:
    title ArchCD
    kernel (hd0,11)/isolinux/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda12 BOOTMEDIA=cd
    initrd (hd0,11)/isolinux/initrd.img
    I did this and it worked:
    title ArchCD
    kernel (hd0,11)/isolinux/vmlinuz
    initrd (hd0,11)/isolinux/initrd.img

  • A problem with threads

    I am trying to implement some kind of a server listening for requests. The listener part of the app, is a daemon thread that listens for connections and instantiates a handling daemon thread once it gets some. However, my problem is that i must be able to kill the listening thread at the user's will (say via a sto button). I have done this via the Sun's proposed way, by testing a boolean flag in the loop, which is set to false when i wish to kill the thread. The problem with this thing is the following...
    Once the thread starts excecuting, it will test the flag, find it true and enter the loop. At some point it will LOCK on the server socket waiting for connection. Unless some client actually connects, it will keep on listening indefinatelly whithought ever bothering to check for the flag again (no matter how many times you set the damn thing to false).
    My question is this: Is there any real, non-theoretical, applied way to stop thread in java safely?
    Thank you in advance,
    Lefty

    This was one solution from the socket programming forum, have you tried this??
    public Thread MyThread extends Thread{
         boolean active = true;
         public void run(){
              ss.setSoTimeout(90);
              while (active){
                   try{
                        serverSocket = ss.accept();
                   catch (SocketTimeoutException ste){
                   // do nothing
         // interrupt thread
         public void deactivate(){
              active = false;
              // you gotta sleep for a time longer than the
              // accept() timeout to make sure that timeout is finished.
              try{
                   sleep(91);
              }catch (InterruptedException ie){
              interrupt();
    }

    You can also try to provide a greater Priority to your player thread so that it gains the CPU time when ever it needs it and don't harm the playback.
    However a loop in a Thread and that to an infinite loop is one kind of very bad programming, 'cuz the loop eats up most of your CPU time which in turn adds up more delays of the execution of other tasks (just as in your case it is the playback). By witting codes bit efficiently and planning out the architectural execution flow of the app before start writing the code helps solve these kind of issues.
    You can go through [this simple tutorial|http://oreilly.com/catalog/expjava/excerpt/index.html] about Basics of Java and Threads to know more about threads.

    N.B. And yes there are more articles and tutorials available but much of them targets the Java SE / EE, but if you want to read them here is [another great one straight from SUN|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/concurrency/index.html] .

  • J2ME problem with threads

    Hi all,
    I would like to ask you for a help. I need to write a small program at my university. I started to write a midlet which function would be to countdown time for sports activities. I woul like to start a new thread - the one that counts down - and at the same time make the main thread sleep. After the "countdown" thread finishes, the main thread wakes up and waits for user input. The problem is that when the "countdown" thread finishes his work, I've got Uncaught exception java/lang/NullPointerException. error and the midlet halts.

    Groovemaker,
    Your Licznik class has a member m of type monitor, which has not been instantiated (in other words is null) hence, when calling m.put() you get NullPointerException. Please also mind, that using Thread.sleep(1000) is not an accurate way of measuring time.
    If I may, please use recommended for Java class naming conventions - some of your names use lower case, while other don't which is confusing to the reader.

  • Problem with threads within applet

    Hello,
    I got an applet, inside this applet I have a singleton, inside this singleton I have a thread.
    this thread is running in endless loop.
    he is doing something and go to sleep on and on.
    the problem is,
    when I refresh my IE6 browser I see more than 1 thread.
    for debug matter, I did the following things:
    inside the thread, sysout every time he goes to sleep.
    sysout in the singleton constructor.
    sysout in the singleton destructor.
    the output goes like this:
    when refresh the page, the singleton constructor loading but not every refresh, sometimes I see the constructor output and sometimes I dont.
    The thread inside the singleton is giving me the same output, sometime I see more than one thread at a time and sometimes I dont.
    The destructor never works (no output there).
    I don't understand what is going on.
    someone can please shed some light?
    thanks.
    btw. I am working with JRE 1.1
    this is very old and big applet and I can't convert it to something new.

    Ooops. sorry!
    I did.
         public void start() {
         public void stop() {
         public void destroy() {

                   Configuration.closeConnection();
                   QuoteItem.closeConnection();
              } finally {
                   try {
                        super.finalize();
                   } catch (Throwable e) {
                        e.printStackTrace();

  • Problem with Threads and a static variable

    I have a problem with the code below. I am yet to make sure that I understand the problem. Correct me if I am wrong please.
    Code functionality:
    A timer calls SetState every second. It sets the state and sets boolean variable "changed" to true. Then notifies a main process thread to check if the state changed to send a message.
    The problem as far I understand is:
    Assume the timer Thread calls SetState twice before the main process Thread runs. As a result, "changed" is set to true twice. However, since the main process is blocked twice during the two calls to SetState, when it runs it would have the two SetState timer threads blocked on its synchronized body. It will pass the first one, send the message and set "changed" to false since it was true. Now, it will pass the second thread, but here is the problem, "changed" is already set to false. As a result, it won't send the message even though it is supposed to.
    Would you please let me know if my understanding is correct? If so, what would you propose to resolve the problem? Should I call wait some other or should I notify in a different way?
    Thanks,
    B.D.
    Code:
    private static volatile boolean bChanged = false;
    private static Thread objMainProcess;
       protected static void Init(){
            objMainProcess = new Thread() {
                public void run() {
                    while( objMainProcess == Thread.currentThread() ) {
                       GetState();
            objMainProcess.setDaemon( true );
            objMainProcess.start();
        public static void initStatusTimer(){
            if(objTimer == null)
                 objTimer = new javax.swing.Timer( 1000, new java.awt.event.ActionListener(){
                    public void actionPerformed( java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt){
                              SetState();
        private static void SetState(){
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                bChanged = true;
                try{
                    objMainProcess.notify();
                }catch( IllegalMonitorStateException e ) {}
        private static boolean GetState() {
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return false;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                if( bChanged) {
                    SendMessage();
                    bChanged = false;
                    return true;
                try {
                    objMainProcess.wait();
                }catch( InterruptedException e ) {}
                return false;
        }

    Thanks DrClap for your reply. Everything you said is right. It is not easy to make them alternate since SetState() could be called from different places where the state could be anything else but a status message. Like a GREETING message for example. It is a handshaking message but not a status message.
    Again as you said, There is a reason I can't call sendMessage() inside setState().
    The only way I was able to do it is by having a counter of the number of notifies that have been called. Every time notify() is called a counter is incremented. Now instead of just checking if "changed" flag is true, I also check if notify counter is greater than zero. If both true, I send the message. If "changed" flag is false, I check again if the notify counter is greater than zero, I send the message. This way it works, but it is kind of a patch than a good design fix. I am yet to find a good solution.
    Thanks,
    B.D.

  • Problem with threads running javaw

    Hi,
    Having a problem with multi thread programming using client server sockets. The program works find when starting the the application in a console using java muti.java , but when using javaw multi.java the program doesnt die and have to kill it in the task manager. The program doesnt display any of my gui error messages either when the server disconnect the client. all works find in a console. any advice on this as I havent been able to understand why this is happening? any comment would be appreciated.
    troy.

    troy,
    Try and post a minimum code sample of your app which
    does not work.
    When using javaw, make sure you redirect the standard
    error and standard output streams to file.
    Graeme.Hi Graeme,
    I dont understand what you mean by redirection to file? some of my code below.
    The code works fine under a console, code is supposed to exit when the client (the other server )disconnects. the problem is that but the clientworker side of the code still works. which under console it doesnt.
