Problem starting adminserver with WLST and Nodemanager
I have a domain with one cluster containing 4 managed servers. Now I want to start the adminserver with WLST using the Nodemanager. (I know there are other/beter ways but in this situation I need to do it with Nodemanager).
The problem is that the Nodemanager doesn't add the right memory arguments to the start command of the admin server.
This is what I do:
nmConnect(usernaam,password,host,port,domain)
nmstart(adminserver)
This does start the adminserver only without the proper memory arguments.
I tried:
using a startup.properties file in the directory <domain-dir> \servers\<server-name> \data\nodemanager with the following arguments: -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m
and
Puting the memory arguments in the "Server Start" properties in the config.xml (This works fine for the managedservers)
How can I solve this?
The nmstart command has a properties argument. Have you tried that?
nmStart([serverName], [domainDir], [props], [writer])

Thanks !Hello,
I tried to start the AdminServer with the nodemanager and it works perfectly :
"nmConnect('NMUser','NMpwd','localhost','5556','DomaineName','Domainedirectory')"
I had to change the NM user and NM Password in "domain_name, Security, General, and then expand the Advanced options at the bottom.".
But because of this action, I can't manage my others WebApp on the second host :
Here is my error :
"<Could not execute command "getVersion" on the node manager. Reason: "Access to domain 'DomaineName' for user 'NMUser' denied".> "
Here is my configuration :
Domain is setup on the HOST1
AdminServer : HOST1
WebApp1 : HOST1
WebApp2 : Host2
I can't manage WebApp2. I restarted the NodeManager on Host2. Same error...
Do you already have this error ? The nodemanager.properties and nodemanager.domains are ok the Host2.
Thanks for your help ! -
Problems : Starting up with CDE and Opening terminal window in JDS
Hi
I installed Solaris 10 GA on the system having 2.8 GHz Dual Xeon processor with EM64T.
Installation process was fine and completed. But, I have two problems with CDE and JDS.
Firstly, in JDS, the graphical login comes up, works fine. After I login (as root or anyone), sometimes terminal window does not start up correctly. The windows for terminal apprear, but there is no display. Thus, I cannot use the terminal in JDS, while the other menus on launch panel (e.g. StarOffice) seem to work properly.
Secondly, in CDE, I can login, the hourglass pointer appears and changes to arrow pointer. But then, there are no items except only the pointer and wallpaper.
Both problems do not happen at every login time. when the problems happen, I have to reboot (in CDE/JDS) or re-login (in JDS). After some rebooting or re-login, things work fine again.
Can everybody help me?
ThanksI am not Adobe staff, but I have never heard of an "online upgrade". When I purchased my CS6 upgrade from Adobe, they sent me an email with the serial.
Who did you go through to get this upgrade? -

wls:/offline>
wls:/offline>Hi manohar,
Thank you, Pierluigi for encouraging Middleware Magic Team :)
manohar, apart from what *"Pierluigi"* has suggested, additionally please notice the following messsage in your StackTrace (whih is basically a NOTICE message but does not look good)
The loading of the trusted certificate list raised a certificate parsing exception PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object:In your case it looks like the actual issue is your Certificate which comes by default with JDK. As mentioned in this BUG.
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6803022
Additionally please refer to the following Thread:
http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3958098#3958098
I am suspecting that you need to do the following in order to get rid of Certificate Errors which is the ROOT cause of your issue
Do the following: After taking a backup of *"$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts"* file
cd $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security
cp -p cacerts cacerts.original
chmod 644 cacerts
keytool -delete -alias ttelesecglobalrootclass2ca -keystore cacerts
keytool -delete -alias ttelesecglobalrootclass3ca -keystore cacertsAlso try with Node Manager Communication type as "*Plain*" because it looks like you are getting PKIX security certificate chain message, just to isolate the issue.

I have a problem starting up my new lion version for my macbookpro, it is starting up with entourage and excel? How do I solve this?
Thanx
JMWBy default, your system will automatically restart with all of the same applications open that were open when you shut it down. When you tell your system to shut down or restart, you will get a dialog box like below. You need to uncheck the box. Note that your election here will not be permanent... you will need to select it each time you shutdown (or just close all of your applications before you shutdown).

LR 4 RC2 ...vexing problem, 3 sessions with support and still not able to find? With all settings reset and running a test catalog a raw image when opened in develop will when imediately going back to library view show a significant color shift in red, orange and purple but only in images with significant content in those colors. at first the culprit appeared to be camera calibration default but not reproducable. The problem exists even when opening older images from months ago? Also if second screen running in loupe mode the image is not shifted.
Any ideas please
DaveJim01403, Geoff and others...I'm new here so I'll need a little time The thread is very interesting, populated by serious mature people, how refreshing! It clearly is part of what i'm experiencing and is answered answered here...thank you. My main problem is still the significant color shift between develope and library modules. I'll attach one from each so you and others can see. Unfortunately the library version is the bad one so printing is now very problematic...Note, this occurs in either single or with second monitor on the library version is displayed. I have reset virtually everything and wonder if a cache is not updating or color space is not matching? A symptom/detail worth noting, when switching to library mode, the correct image is displayed for about a second then it jumps to what you see in the examples. As if the library module starts to rendering from develope settings then jumps tback to the original inedited preview??
Maybe just go back to 3.6 and tread water till 4.1 is fixed?

How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded
I've about had it up to here with this new Photos scheme. I reorganised my Aperture libraries on both my iMac and MBA in preparation for this, delayed turning Photos on for a couple of days until I thought everything was ready based upon the limited advice that was out there, and then got stuck in an endless loop of "uploading" and "preparing" every time I opened Photos. There are 19,975 images in my Aperture library on the iMac. I was stuck at Uploading at anywhere between that number and 19,000 with no progress after hours of waiting. I tried all the tricks mentioned here including re booting, restarting the app, repairing/rebuilding the database, killing the "cloudd" process, etc.today Today when I restarted Photos, it now said I had 23,775 images to upload- 4000
more than I have-and of course it got stuck there, like it has for the last week.
I copied the previous Aperture library (pre Photos migration)back to my iMac and opened it in Aperture. Thankfully, all the photos I had taken on my iPhone this week during this Photos clusterphuck transition were in the Aperture Stream so I didn't lose any of those. I'm willing to give this whole thing one more shot. So i need some advice. How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded (about 6000 of 19,000 images in the last 7 days) ? If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?
<Re-Titled By Host>How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded (about 6000 of 19,000 images in the last 7 days) ? If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?
It is hard to say from your post, why the migration did not succeed in your case.
by "stuck on upload" do you mean, you opened the Aperture library in Photos, and Photos converted it to a Photo Library, and then the upload to iCloud Photo Library did hang? Or did already the upgrade to the Photo Library fail?
If you want the Aperture library to upload to iCloud Photo Library, it needs to be on a disk formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled) and the original image files must not be referenced. Referenced originals will not upload.
Also, the upload may hang, if you do not have enough free iCloud storage, orr if one of the videos or photos in your library is in an unsupported format or corrupted.
To start over, try to repair and rebuild the Aperture library before opening it in Photos. Try all Aperture Library First Aid options - starting with repairing the permissions. (Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual)
If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?
You will have to delete the photos that are already in icloud too; otherwise you are risking duplicates.
Can you launch Photos at all? If yes, delete all photos in Photos and empty the Recently Deleted album. Wait for the deletion to sync to iCloud. Then delete the Photos.photolibrary. -

Problem starting servers with nodemanager
Hi,
I'm following the Oracle By Example:
I have installed on Windows (not on Linux), but that shouldn't make much difference.
Now look at what I got on Step 10 of the OBE:

The last line says in Dutch "The process has no access to the file because it is being used by another process". I don't know if that is relevant.
Question
Now when I go back to my admin console, I don't see dizzy1 server RUNNING, it has status SHUTDOWN. Screen refresh doesn't help either.
Any suggestions ??

I did an netstat -na > checkports.log
The server dizzy1 has been configured with Listen Port 7003 and SSL Listen Port 7004. Both are not in the checkports.log.
What I did see in my nodemanager.log was:
Domains file not found: D:\oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\common\NODEMA~1\nodemanager.domains, this is strange, because the file is really there.
And when I try to start server dizzy1, the Console gives the

Mail Server: problem configuring dovecot with postifx and virtualhosts
Hi all,
I'm am struggling trying to configure a mail server. I have a dedicated server running archlinux.
I want to setup a complete mail server, ie: web access (for that I installed roundcube) and being able to retrieve mails on any e-mail client.
I followed this guide, from the documentation but I've read that courier-imap is a lot more resources hungry than dovecot. As I could not have it working using the documentation, I tought I would use dovecot. The problem is that I am not able to configure it.
What I already have up and running: web server (nginx) with postfixadmin and roundcubemail, postfix, mysql.
Now, I want to be able to send and receive mails using dovecot. Could you guide me a little in order to replace courier-imap with dovecot, starting from this documentation? I already have my databases configured, a vmail user, ssl certificates and postifx configured for virtualhosts. Seems that the only thing missing is imap + smts thrue TLS.
Thanks for any help.

Problem starting OpenOffice with KDE [Solved]
I just did a clean Arch install witk KDE desktop. After I installed OpenOffice with
pacman -Sy openoffice-base
when I try to start openoffice I get the following error message
"The application cannot be started. An internal error occurred."
I tried to reinstall OpenOffice but that didn't help.
Any ideas whats going wrong? OpenOffice worked fine with Gnome before I did a clean install.
-A-this problem is caused as some files on the install or somewhere else got assigned root permissions so that is the problem. i deleted the folder and everything recreated ok.
I have the same problem, but deleting ~/.openoffice.org2 haven't solved the problem, so I looked up this forum for other solutions and nothing helped.
From other topic: That's not a java problem, I think.
Any ideas? -
Problems starting AdminServer WLS 10 on linux
Hello All,
We have upgraded our environment to platform 10.2 and we have now problems starting the AdminServer on that environment after upgrading the database (oracle 10g).
Errors indicate that the boot.properties -file is not correct. I've tried to remove the one from AdminServer security -directory and deleted the ldap -directory, but these doesn't help.
What should I do and in which order to make the server start again ?I recommend a support case. You have not provided enough detail here and they are best equipped to handle these types of issues.

What phones can you still get the $15/month for limited data plan?
I am aware Verizon has switched over to the "Share Everything" plan. I think it's obsurd to charge $50 a month for only 1GB of data to share with the whole family. Anybody who pays for that, must be insane. But, that's not what I'm asking about.
