Problem starting CATS Notebook application with SAP MI
Hi All,
I synchronized my Mobile Infrastructure on my notebook with the backend server. I am able to download the correct application (CATS_notebook) but I'm not able to start this application. It redirects to localhost:4444.... and I receive a 404 (file not found).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

About the only thing I can think of offhand is that the application name as specified in the code may not be the same as the application name thats been uploaded to the webconsole.
Also stop and restart your MI Client engine on your laptop and then log in again and try to open the app. I'm not familiar with that application so I can't be of any help with that.
I hope that helps.

How to integrate non-sap application with sap netweaver trial abap
Hi, I currently have with me SAP Netweaver ABAP trial and Mini SAP BASIS 4.6 D. What i want to do is to see how can i integrate my non-SAP application with SAP.
I am confused as to if using SAP Netweaver ABAP trial, will i be able to establish that. Can anyone guide me in this regard.I want to connect using JCO basically, want to write a java client that will be talking with the SAP application. Provide me a starting point.
Will i require a Deployed SAP application as well to do this, or will Netweaver ABAP Trial do the job, will i also have to expose the business objects using BAPI.
Please help.
Please point out the right forum to post the question if this is not the right one.
ThanksHey
Please post this question in ABAP forum

Problem connectivity of Web Dympro with SAP Netweaver
Hi guys,
I've a problem connectivity of Web Dympro with SAP Netweaver
I installed Sap NW in a machine on the local network with IP 192.168.x.y, and I can connect to it without problems; I can use the portal and implement jobs in Visual Composer.
After installing Sap Developer Studio, I connected it successfully to the NW through the menu "Preferences->SAP j2EE engine" selecting the option "SAP J2EE is installed on remote hosts" and inserting IP address of the machine with NW (192.168.x.y) and port 3900.
Using these parameters the logon works, in fact I can see the tab "J2EE engine".
The problem is that when I try to make the deploy, Web Dynpro asks me the SDM password (that I'm sure I've inserted correctly) but it returns the following error to me:
Deployment aborted
Settings
SDM host : SVR-NW
SDM port : 50118
URL to deploy : file:/C:/DOCUME1/Michele/IMPOST1/Temp/temp59548Welcome.ear

I want to add that I use Win XP Prof, and I set the same credentials (user "Administrator" and the correct password) I used on the machine where SAP NW is installed.Hi Michele,
There were 2 cases I explained, and the second was the one in case your SDM was blocked. Did you try the first one?
Anyways, here is something more that you can try to get it working. In case the SDM password is valid, did you log into the portal as the Administrator? If yes, then you must have been asked to change the password. If you did change the password there, login to the remoteGUI using the Master password (abcd1234) and change the password there also to the same password you use for Administrator on the Portal. Now try again.
In case the above doesnt work, start the configtool.bat from \usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\configtool and go to secure store. Here define the J2E passwords again (the same new password you gave for the Administrator in the portal), save and restart the server. I think it would work then
Hope that helps you out!
Bye,
Sameer
P.S - the main thing is that the error you got was Authentication failure using the Administrator username. Thats why you have to make sure that the password for the SDM is the same as what you gave for the Administrator login in the portal. So after you login into the remoteGUI, CHANGE the password to what you have for the Administrator(just like the one in the portal).

What is the best way to integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?
Details about expected process Flow.
Receive PO from customer into SAP > SAP SD creates Sales Order > ?? SAP Integrate with External non-SAP Purchasing Application to trigger purchasing > External non-SAP Purchasing Application creates PO, Ships Material to Customer Ship to address (drop ship), Sends Shipping confirmation (FCR) & Invoices to SAP> ??Receive FCR and Invoice in SAP > ?? Initiate SAP Accounts Payable (Vendor Payments) and Accounts Receivable (Customer Invoice) > ?? Update SAP SD Sales Order with shipping status>
Questions we need to answer;
- How to achieve '??' steps from above process.
- What type of Master Data we will need to configure (Say Materials Item Category, Type etc.)
- Any standards options to configure SAP SD (Type of Sales Order)
- We certainly don’t want to trigger SAP MM Purchasing (i.e. PR, PO etc.). How can we bypass it.
- How to make statistical receipts against sales order line items so that SO status will be updated.
- How to receive Invoice and FCR from External non-SAP app to trigger AP and AR transactions.
- Are there any SAP standard configurations/ BAPIs/ BADIs available to achieve this integration.
Any inputs on above questions are appreciable.
Anand. This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

Integrate Window Application with SAP B1
Hi
Can we use EAI Technology to integrate our window application with SAP B1.
if yes then from where i get the material regarding this
Thanks
RupinderHi Rupinder,
You can integrate your windows application with B1 at the data level via COM based DI API. Some of the SDK samples are built as Windows Form applications that use DI API to integrate with data in B1.

Problem in starting my j2ee application on SAP
Hi,
I have done a fresh installation of SAP NetWeaver, i deployed my application's .ear file through DeployTool.
Once deployed successfully, it asks to start application, and it shows started successfully.
Now when i access my application with its URL, it says, application is currently stopped, and status of application in 'Administration' is 'STARTING', it does not change.
Any guesses, what the problem could be, also I have just installed NetWeaver, do i need to install SQLDB as well.
Earlier it was working fine, but after reinstallation nothing seems working
Please suggest....
Thanks in advanceHi,
Thanks for reply.
I'm not able to open this link, it asks for user name and password ..??
I'm using sql server for my application, i have not intalled SQLSB yet, I think installing SAP NeTWeaver installs MaxDB...

Problem withDeploy a Webdynpro application with generation of an Excel file
Considered,
the problem that we have is the following one: we are generating a file Excel from a Webdynpro application. At the time of executing it it throws the following error to us:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.lang.StringBuffer.append (Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/AbstractStringBuilder;
AT com.sap.lipigas.excelexportcomp.ExcelExportComp.trimHeaderText (ExcelExportComp.java: 413)

AT com.sap.lipigas.excelexportcomp.ExcelExportComp.toExcel (ExcelExportComp.java: 257)
In order to solve the subject we asked to him our client so that they make deploy of the application from SAP NETWEAVER STUDIO of them. When making they deploy the application works without no problem.
We are needing some component by which we cannot make deploy of the application? which would be that component?
Beforehand, thanks.I tried it like you said, but i get the error: -2147217865
exception occured.
[Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] The microsoft jet database engine could not find the object 'Sheet1'. Make sure the object exists...
So he doesn't seem to recognize a datasheet as a table (if i may compare it like this) when i choose the microsoft Excel driver with the workbook as described in your answer.
Any ideas?
i putted some attachements, maybe they make it easier to understand

I can confirm that the default JMS port (7676) is not be used elsewhere / by another process on the server and that netfilter/iptables are not active/running.
I have also tried different/alternative ports for the JMS server however it still fails to startup.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Rachel GilmerI have encountered similar problem when running Sun Application server 7 in Fedora Core 2.
It seems that problem was due to improper shutdown of my system.
Following was what I did to resolve the problem:
Look for the JMS installation directory (installed & created together with the application server). Mine is in /var/opt/imq. In the dir,
look for directory instances/domain1_server1 (if your server is running in domain1 server1). Look for a file called lock. Remove the lock file (rename if you are not sure).
After that I was able to successfully start the server. -
Start and ADF Application with a non-View Task
I would like my application to start with a non-View task from within Unbounded Task Flow.
For example, I would like a single "Task Flow Call" in the Unbounded Task Flow which will call the first Bounded Task Flow. The first BTF will expose the main application page. The main application page will contain a dynamic region to handle all other bounded task flows.
Is there a better task type to use than the Task Flow Call?
Does the first task in an unbounded task flow need to be a view task?
If so, is possible to simply use this page to redirect to a non-view task (such as a Task Flow Call)?
Any ideas on the best approach for this? The point is that I do not want to start the application with a view task.
Thanks,
VinceHi,
you can't start with a non-view acticvity in an unbounded task flow. In your case I suggest to use a bounded task flow that you enable for browser access (property setting) and have it using JSPX pages. You don't need to start with a view in the unbounded task flow to achieve what you want

Problem signing code for application with embedded runtime
Hi,
I have an Adobe Air application which I am publishing with the runtime embedded. There are lots of reasons for publishing this way.
I have already seen an unknown publisher message after signing on Windows 8 and a tester reported the same thing on Windows 7. According to the cert issuer (DigiCert) I need to have an Extended Validation (EV) certificate to get by the Windows 8 issue, but there was no explanation on the Windows 7 issue.
As the windows file is essentially a folder wiith ".app" appended to it's name, I'm not sure how signing (which I am doing with the Signature tab on the Flash GUI) ensures that the executable contained in that file is signed.
Can anyone tell me anything about code signing when publishing an AIR application with embedded runtime?
Best,
Chris McLaughlinNot that I can think of. What OS are they running? Do they have the shared runtime also installed?

Interfacing application with SAP for Customer data
Hello,
I would like to build an interface between an external application and SAP for the customers. The Customer will be created and maintained in the external application and data should be updated in SAP automatically.
I thought that I could use the idoc debmas but I am facing to issues :
- Debmas doesn't update the data ( I have to fill again all the data to update the customer unless all the other data is cleared)
- Debmas doesn't contains address data
Is there any other way to build this kind of interface ? I would like to avoid specific programs.
Thank you,Hi,
Have you ever considered Direct Input method to upload your customer master records?
RFBIDE00 is the standard sap program to upload.
You can use LSMW to avaoid coding.
Alternatively, you can extend the DEBMAS idoc to make it work the way you want to work.

I purchased it one month ago and is new. This happened unespectedly. I turned off my notebook yesterday and today does not start. No change in temperature, no contact with liquids.
please help, is saturday and i need my data ...... as nagatyh suggested...
Remove the power cord
Remove the battery
Press the startup button down for 30 seconds.
This accomplishes some sort of hardware reset.
I take an extra step of plugging in the power cord and
restarting the computer without the battery.
This is a very common symptom for the S10 series.
I've noticed the same solution posted many, many times.
So there are probably many different conditions that this "reset" fixes.
With my S10, it happens every couple weeks.
So I always save data and close down applications
before putting my machine to sleep. -

try this out..
Are you able to start cloudscape by java COM.cloudscape.tools.view cmd?
make sure you have ".\samples\eval\cloudscape\lib\cloudscape.jar" in
classpath of startpetstore.cmd file
-Dcloudscape.system.home=./samples/eval/cloudscape/data in
startPetStore.cmd
If I remember correctly, we changed some settings like above ...and error

I guess you have table "product" in your "demo" database.

Problem Starting Sun One Application Server
Hello,
I am having trouble starting the Sun One Application Server. I receive the following error in dos:
Could not start the instance: domain1:admin-server
server failed to start: abnormal subprocess termination
I research the problem online and foudn that my firewall may have debilitated the app server. But I've now removed the firewall and I still receive this same message.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
PeterHi, I need to know the server.log error reported.
<DOMAIN_DIRCTORY>\admin-server\logs
And send me the error reported.

In case it does not, I provide a tool called JaNeLA that will provide a lot more specific error message(s) than 'something like this'.
Really, I cannot see you getting better help than on some of your other recent threads, with vague, unspecific error messages, and without putting the JNLP file and other relevant information.
