Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. If this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

After ICS update problems typing when plugged in, and battery life shortened, also Dolphin browser runs slow.

Problem typing messages

I seem to have a problem typing my messages in IM in ipad mini, the problem is, once the keyboard pop up, the space where the letters appears is behind the keyboard. It used to come on top of the keyboard but now it stays behind it and i can't check the words i am typing. Is there anyway to put it on top of the keyboard?

I found the solution myself. they trick is on the dock/undok button of the keyboard. Happy New Year!!!

Can anyone help with this problem. Can't seem to find out how to restore the typing keyboard on my IPad2. It does not matter what app I use and I've even looked in general settings "keyboard".

Do you use a Bluetooth keyboard with the iPad? If you do, make sure that you turn the keyboard off and turn Bluetooth off on the iPad.
I read in a discussion here some months ago where another Bluetooth device (gaming console) in the same room prevented the keyboard from popping up for one user. At least that was the OP's claim.

Musical Typing - Keyboard is cut off

Somehow I shrunk it and now only the top half is visible.

Hi. I had this trouble also. I was using musical typing, then I switched tracks and did other things, then came back and it did not work. I don't know what I might have hit in the interim that turned it off. The mouse/cursor still plays music, but the keyboard does not.
In fact, when I type now on the keyboard, the whole screen greys out. But this doesn't seem to be all the keys; for example, 'R" still starts recording.

OK, so it's now a minute later and the mute button WAS on for that track. I swear I checked it! Consider this solved for now.

Nope. Well, it worked for a minute there, then stopped again after I moved a track. What is going on here? Yeesh.

Windows 8.1 - T440s touchpad won't click for 1 sec after typing keyboard.

But the problem is still there even after I did what the article says.
I disabled touchpad delay and installed hotfix from MS with no luck.
So I guess MS hasn't fixed it perfectly or there is a bug in Synapics' driver.
As a programmer, I alternate between typing keyboard and clicking buttons very quickly.
So this is a huge problem to me.
Is there anybody who knows how to fix/avoid this?

Look in the Synaptics Ultranav settings. There's a checkbox for Prioritize for Trackpoint and Keyboard input. Uncheck this.
Also disable PalmCheck if you haven't already.

Problem typing iphone 4s

Hi!
I'm having problems typing in my iPhone 4s, I can not type the letters R, D, F, C when is in a vertical position and I have already restore the iPhone and it didn't work. I don't know what else tu do, I removed the plastic protector from the skin, cleaned it, etc and still can't write those letters. Also when I lock the phone the sliding bar doesn't work either.
What else can I do? I live in Venezuela and here theres no a support store that can help mi with this.

I'm almost 100% sure it's a 5.0.1 issue because 2 weeks ago I had my old iphone4s which had iOS 5 on it and the microphone worked like a charm, due to contract issues I was forced to get another iphone4s that came to me delivered with iOS 5.0.1 preinstalled and that's when my microphone stopped working, thus iOS 5.0.1 is the problem

The general method of reducing Other is to restore the device. If you install your backup when requested, you iPhone will be as it was prior to the restore. If not, it will be factory fresh.
Note that Other is usually less than 1GB.

We have implemented auto session logout(if user is ideal for 15 mins one message popup will come and after 5mins user gets logged off) in our portal and it is working fine. when user navigate to other page the timer is getting reset but if user working in same page for 15 mins popup message comes and if is not clicking 'ok'user gets logged off .
For navigation i am using EPCM.subscribeEvent("urn:com.sapportals:navigation", "Navigate", pop);
My requirement is to reset the time when he is typing(keyboard event) any info in from.
Please provide your inputs.

Same here. My 32GB iPhone 3GS works great under iOS 6.1.3. Since I am the original owner of the phone, purchased in July of 2009 and it is long out of contract with AT&T, I had AT&T unlock the phone (not jail break) and my son now uses it on T-Mobile. He has a non-data pay as you go plan so he must be on WIFI to get data, but his school has it as do all his friends houses so it is no real issue. Also very cheap. Amazingly good support by Apple that an almost 4 year old phone still runs the latest and greatest OS. Does not happen with Android. Heck, many new Android phones have an old version, incredible as that may be.

Keynote problems with keyboard shortcuts

Is anyone having problems with keyboard shortcuts not working with Keynote? Had this problem (and a host of others) since the upgrade to Mavericks and the latest Keynote.

I can replicate all by problem number 1. Once the PDF loads, I can use the arrow keys to scroll up/down. All of the other problems you mentioned haven't been implemented.

What is the best external typing keyboard for use with logic studio?

I'm currently using Logic 7 and looking to upgrade to Logic STUDIO.
I want to get a nice typing keyboard with coloured and customised keys (short-cuts) to use in place of the MACBOOK keyboard.
I have previously bought the stickers from Editors keys, but there key command sets suck.
Hoping someone can suggest a better company offering a better product with more intuitive key command settings so that it matches well with LOGIC STUDIO - assuming its been simplifed with its work flow, I want a typing keyboard to match.
Also is it worth gettinga jog wheel to use in place of or in addition to a mouse - I think this is called a shuttle.

I believe that there are keyboard overlays for Logic available for the Apple Keyboards... although, I don't think there's anything for 8 yet, seeing as the release probably took them by surprise.
However, I do agree that using a wireless keyboard and mighty mouse are must-haves... at least in my studio. They allow me to work at my piano and control Logic from a distance (I don't like assigning MIDI commands, outside of my control surface). However, I do with that Logic would recognize the presence of a Mighty Mouse and allow assigning the remaining button presses to other features in Logic, like showing the floating toolbox while the right-click handles the contextual menus.

Very strange problem typing text in Keynote

I am having a really ridiculous problem typing text in Keynote. Everytime that I type the characters "fi" together, Keynote autocorrects and changes it to "fä".
This is incredibly inconvenient as you can imagine. And it does not happen in any other program.
Anyone, any idea?

It sounds like the computer is trying to create the automatic "ligature" I believe it's called, but that font doesn't seem to want to allow Apple's auto-ligatures to display. Is it a "text" or "headline/decorative" font? You should be able to turn off auto-ligatures for that bit of text so that your original letters display separate as intended.

Just a few hours ago my apple keyboard started typing like th7is4 or like why2 do8es my8 ke2yb8or8ad ty8pe like8 th7is
It's only on the first line of letters though.
I've tried everything from restarting my computer, rebooting it in safe mode, going to system preferences and turning off the keyboard and mouse.
I've done a little research and they say it might have to do with something I pressed, I might have activated "NUMLOCK", but unfortunely my keyboard does not have "clear" or "NUMLOCK"

If you have access to a usb keyboard, does not have to be a Mac kb, you could plug it in and check if it is just the kb, not something deeper.
If the problem is the MB keyboard, you could try, with the MB turned off, jiggling the keys back and forth and generally treating it as if some keys are stuck. Beyond that, you could look into replacing the kb.
