Hi Bala,
I am not getting the System Alias under:
User Administration-> User Mapping-> Logon Data(Select a Principal) (System Alias).
The System is successfully built under System Amininstration->System Configuration->System Landscape->Portal Content->kaushikb named WD_System and System Alias is named as: WebDynpro_alias.
The Test Connection is successful.
I am displaying the result below:
SAP Web AS Connection
Test Details:
The test performs the following:
1. Checks the validity of the system ID in the system object.
2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
3. Checks if a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
6. Pings the server to see if it is alive.
7. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
8. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
Results
1. The system ID is valid
2. The system was retrieved.
3. The system object represents an SAP system
4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (kolapon:50000)
5. The host name kolapon was resolved successfully.
6. The server kolapon was pinged successfully.
7. The WAS ping service http://kolapon:50000/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the WAS, you can try to call the ping service manually.
8. An HTTP/S connection to http://kolapon:50000 was obtained successfully.

SAP Web Dynpro iView not working!
We are trying to run BI reports based on Web Dynpro ABAP in portal. I created a SAP Web Dynpro iView with following parameters
System : SAP_LocalSystem
Namespace : sap
Applicatioin Name : ZXXXXX_RRE (This is the template name)
When I try to preview the report I get portal runtime error with following error dump in log file

I have checked SAP_BW system object and tested the connections all connection test for SAP_BW is successful. BI Portal system is set up with SAP web dispatcher, ITS and WEB host names in system object are configured something like xxxx.hostname.com:443 since it's SSL.
Am I missing anything here?
Thanks
PraveenHello Pravin,

Though these are WDA applications , how these related to ITS..
I am also getting same error message.. Please suggest how can i go head

Hi,
We are facing problem with iviews, created using SAP Web Dynpro iView Template. Whenever user clicks on any of SAP Web Dynpro iView , portal main page is opened instead of Web Dynpro application. Same problem is encounted on preview of the iView. Everything was working fine till yesterday and suddenly we are facing this problem.
Also, iview created using Web Dynpro Java Application option are working fine.
What can be the reason behind the problem?
Need your help.
Thanks in Advance,
ApurvaHi,
Some times we get the home page instaed of the application.
This may be due to the application is not active.
Test from se80.
If it is working fine create the iview again i think there are changes made to the application.
Thanks,

Portal theme not picked for SAP Web Dynpro Iview
Hi,
We have used light framework page for our portal and all the iviews display the content within the iviews in the same set of colors (blue for buttons). However, for a WD java content, I have created an SAP Web Dynpro iView and the contents displayed here appear in the SAP colors without picking those set for the portal.
The same application parameters display the portal colors when we use the Web Dynpro Proxy iview.
Any idea how I can make the SAP Web Dynpro iView appear like the other portal iviews?
Note: The stylesheet property for the iview is already entered (ur), and I have also set the 'Supply Portal stylesheet' property to 'Yes'.
Please provide your inputs.
Thanks,
VinayHi ,
In ABAP Webdynpro for similar problem we used WDFORCEEXTERNAL Sheet property of WDA.
The Web Dynpro framework automatically compares the versions of the portal and Web Dynpro
for ABAP style sheets. If the Web Dynpro for ABAP has a newer version, the WDA style sheet is used. This avoids unattractive rendering and JavaScript errors. You can deactivate this behavior again using the WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET application parameter of WDA.See also SAP Notes 1033496 .
If you use the stylesheet of the portal to display the application, the rendering may not appear correctly and Javascript errors can occur(If portal style sheet is lower than WD).
Though Iam not familiar with WD java , the property force portal style sheet in WD java application should be enough to make WD accept portal theme.

Help with SAP Web Dynpro IView
Hi,
Our developer created an planning file upload web dynpro via transaction RSPLAN. I am looking to create a appropriate IView for this so I don't have to hardcode the URL in an URL IView. From the list of available IViews I selected "SAP Web Dynpro".
The URL to the Upload is the following:
https://<server>:1443/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zrsplf_file_upload?planning_sequence=ZDWHOSPSAL
For the IView parameters I have the following:
In "Application Name" I have zrsplffile_upload_
in "Application Parameters" I have planningsequence=ZDWHOSPSAL_
in "Namespace" I put ZSMD which is the package
When I execute the IView I get the following error.
Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: Wrong WebDynpro-URL: no application name specified
Can anyone help me out with what I should put in the Namespace parameter and what else I might be doing wrong?Hi,

I have installed Netweaver developer studio. while creating a webdynpro project by selecting File->new->project, It doesn't display "web dynpro" option in the project wizard dailogue box.
Please suggest how to resolve this issue.
Thanks.Hi Babu,
Make sure following plugin folder
"com.sap.ide.webdynpro.ui_xx.yy.zz(for ex:com.sap.ide.webdynpro.ui_2.0.0)"
exists in your ecclipse root folder (for ex:C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\)
It is responsible for the UI selection elements in File->New Project->WebDynpro selection.
If it's not there you will have to copy it. check also other webdypro plugins installed correctly. these plugins comes with default installation of SAP WEBAS.
if all plugins not installed then redo the whole installation but at the same time make sure all plugins installed correctly.
reward points if usefull
Thanks

Problem of Creating a web dynpro application based on a car rental web serv
Based original SAP developer studio examples shipped with the developer studio, I first create J2EE application QuickCarRental. It works at http://192.168.254.4:50300/QuickCarRental.
A web service QuickCarRentalWebService is defined in J2EE application QuickCarRental. My web dynpro application TutWD_CarRental is web service consumer invoking QuickCarRentalWebService.
When I deploy TutWD_CarRental on SAP J2EE engine and run the application at http://192.168.254.4:50300/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_CarRental/CarRentalApp, i can see the web dynpro web application interface right.
however, I get the following error when I input some data and Click button rent a car.
Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (404) Not Found.
when i click Display all bookings, the error is:
Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (404) Not Found.
I install SAP developer studio on my winXP desktop, and the SAP developer studio version is 2.0.10.
I have my SAP Web application server and J2EE engine Version 6.40 run on a different machine. the SAP server IP address is 192.168.254.4
could anybody give me some clue on this. is that because i miss some configurations on SAP server for enabling web services of QuickCarRentalWebService?
Thanks!

Contact problem while creating account Web UI
Hi everyone,
I have a problem when I want to create a new account, starting from the detail view of an existing account.
When I press the new button, the contact, marketing attributes and relationship are copied from the existing account. Those fields should normally be empty.
However when I press enter or save, they dissapear and are empty again, like they should be from the beginning.
Does anyone know which SAP Note, code, ... can solve this problem?
Kr,
MaartenHi,
The problem may be due to custom controller of BP not getting cleared when you create new account from existing account. So values are getting transfered from your existing account to new account. I think you need to clear values in custom controller.
Again, values might be getting diappeared because on save event, default value is provided to those fields.
Have you done some enhancement on BP?
Best regards

Several Errors in NWDS while create a web Dynpro UI
Hi Enrique,
of course you could model directly some very specifiy processes in the Process Composer but doing that you are not really working on Business Process Management but more on the operating of some company specific processes you want to operate.
Please see as well http://www.arisblog.com/videos/aris-tv-episode-7/ ARIS TV from Ann Rosenberg from SAP on that topic.
To answer your second questions: yes we are planning an exchange between ARIS and the Process Composer. As soon as the BPMN 2.0 exchange format is available ARIS will support it. This means as soon as SAP supports it, you will be able to exchange model information between ARIS and SAP.
Saying that you will not exchange all models only the relevant models you want to execute with help of the process composer.
All the organizational stuff, analysis, optimization, and deep deep process description is usually more in ARIS. Also ARIS also connect to Solution Manager or to SAP BI.
That's why it makes sense to model your company processes within ARIS and then later on exchange some with PC. But for execution you are more in PC.
You do not have to use ARIS but in some cases it makes sense.
You can also have a look at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/9583. [original link is broken]
Hope it helps,

i guess you hit the wrong Topic and maybe Enrique won't find your answer here. Just wanted to mention it

Steps to Create Web Dynpro iview
Hi,
i created web dynpro application using Netweaver Developer Studio.
Now i want to show that on portal.
so please let me know the steps to create web dynpro iview.
regards
mmukeshHi,
Logon to portal with administrator uid/pwd. Content Administration->Portal Content. Right Click on the folder 'Portal Content' and select 'iView'->'New'. In the Template Selection, select 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' and click 'Next'. In the 2nd step, provide iView Name and iView ID and a prefix.
Salect 'Java' in the 3rd step. n the 4th step, select the System (WAS System), give the project name of your webdynpro, like, local/ABC_Project in the WebDynproNameSpace and the Application Name. An iView will be available now.
After creating an iView, you should create a page and add the iView to it. Then create a role and add your page to it. Then assign this role to your user. Set the role property 'Entry Point' to true.
Then when you log into the portal you'll see your role in the top level navigation, click on it to see your iView.

Hi,
we have a problem with our web dynpro iviews. Although there are all necessary fields of the iview template filled (application name, application parameter, namespace (sap), system, web dynpro for java and windows client) there only appears a blank page with a red X, when we preview the iview.
Before we've tried to create a web dynpro iview, we've created an url iview for the web dynpro and this one was working fine.. The problem was, that it doesn't display the application in our custom portal theme with an url iview - only the default sap theme was displayed.
I've searched in the forum, but I found not really something for our case.
It would be great, if anyone can point to what the error could be..
Thanks in advance,
LydiaHi,
Check the SAP note: Note 1446099 - Web Dynpro application not displayed in customer theme
Try creating a Web Dynpro ABAP iview, you can find the template in Iview Template.
And in that make sure Supply Portal Stylesheet is set to yes so that it takes Portal Stylesheet.
Alternative to that is upload the theme to R/3.
To do that check SE38 program WD_THEME
Download portal theme
Once you have the Theme uploaded you need to make one more setting.
In SE80 WD_Global_Setting - goto Change and change Stylesheet URI and ensure the iView property Supply Portal Stylesheet is set to no.
Hope this helps.
