Problem with bid invitation attachment

When I put an attachment at headerlevel on the bid invitation, I also found it on item level. This also happens whith vendor text and internal note.
So there's no difference between attachment on header and item level. The same for the texts.
Do you why this is happening ?

Can you please also advise what format the attachment is in, eg: pdf, mp3, jpg etc?

We have implemented SRM 5.0 classic scenario
Our Shopping carts are ever transfered to R/3 System as a purchase requisitions.
I would like to know step by step how can create a purchase order or a contract in R/3 starting on a bid invitation selecting a quotation (without starting from a shopping cart).

Hi Miranda,
within a classic environment, there needs to be a Shopping Cart or a R/3 Req in order to be able to generate a PO from a Bid Invitation. Logically there needs to be a demand for which a Sourcing Event is done to have a working process. No purchaser is supposed to make sourcing events just for fun.
Starting a Bid Invitation from scratch in a classic scenario, makes only a local (SRM) PO possible.
For a contract it is a different story. By implementing Badi BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE you can tell the system to directly create the contract in SRM. Make all the settings for contract management scenario (doc type, number range in SRM and in R/3, follow on doc settings for BID, Badi BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE, etc.) and a contract can be created directly in R/3.

MSI K8N Diamond - Boot problems with USB devices attached.

Hi There.
I have been seeking the forums, but havent found the answer to my problem yet.
This is how it goes with ANY USB devices attached to either of the four USB ports on the Motherboard.
When i turn on my system, it hangs in the POST right after displaying the BIOS version (Which I have updated to 1.6) - I cant use my Keyboard to get to the BIOS setup.
Without USB devices attached...
The system boots without problems. And in Windows XP SP2 i can insert my keyboard, mouse etc. and everything works great - both USB 1.1 & 2.0 devices.
I have disabled the KB/USB.. in BIOS and I have disabled the "Boot on other device" option as well.
As I have found on this forum, a lot of people have problems with USB Front panel and D-Bracket (USB ports) connectors causing the system to hang - But my D-Bracket (USB connectors) and my front USB port is at this time DISCONNECTED - so this cannot be the problem.
The D-Bracket shows the "Bios Sign On" information - and stops at that point
Am I having a malfunctioning Motherboard here, or are there any solutions to this problem?
Please help me as I am desperate to have my system work properly.

Well I have read about that somewhere in here, but my problem is NOT with an USB hub, but with any USB device attached to the motherboard's USB slots. It is driving me nuts to be honest!! I think it might be time for RMA
What do you say guys - is my Motherboard ready for RMA, or do I have to try something specific berfore sending it to the retailer??

Problem with the invitations that my ical sends

When recipients to my ical invitation receive their email, they are unable to add the invite to their calendar apps and the attachment doesn't work. Sometimes when they try to open the attachment, it even crashes their outlook.
I sent an invite to myself to test and I got this in the body of the email:

I would like to chime in on this issue, becaue at my company, we are having the same problem. Here is more detail:
I work for a small analytical consulting firm in Northern Virginia. We have about 80 employees, and we are a dual-platform company. Two of our three managing partners are huge Mac fans, and our head IT guy is also a die-hard Mac user, so the company goes out of its way to support Mac users. Employees are offered a choice as to whether or not they want to use a Mac or a PC when they start work here. We have about 20 Mac users, and it seems like the percentage of Mac employees has been growing over the past year.
Almost all of us who use Macs use Mail instead of Entourage. We do not operate an Exchange server (too expensive), so instead our e-mail system is an IMAP server. This arrangement works great most of the time -- most of the Mac users use Mail, the Windows users all use Outlook. One annoying problem we frequently run into, however, is meeting invitations. If a Windows user schedules a meeting from their Outlook, and sends out the meeting invitation via e-mail, everyone can get it no problem - Mac and Windows users.
However, if a Mac user tries to schedule a meeting in their copy of iCal, and send out the meeting invitation vial e-mail, Mac users can get it just fine, but the Windows users just get an e-mail with a .ics file attached that they cannot open. Interestingly enough, if the same Mac user sends the invitations out from within Entourage, the Windows users can open it just fine. This sets up the ridiculous situation whereby we Mac users are forced to use Entourage whenever we want to set up a meeting, then go back to Mail/iCal. Its crazy and frustrating to have to go back and forth between two separate e-mail programs. We also use a program called XC Connect to share calendars and task lists, and it is dog slow with Entourage, so that is why most of us prefer to stay away from it.
From what I can gather, the problem stems from the fact that Microsoft did not implement the official iCal file standard correctly. I'm sure Apple's position is "Why should we deviate from the accepted standard just to play nicely with Outlook? The problem is on there end -- let them fix it." I can understand that position, but it really doesn't help us folks in the real world who are banging our heads against this problem every day.
This seems like an ideal problem for some enterprising shareware developer to solve. I've heard that it may be possible to write an AppleScript that would automatically re-format the .ics invitation before sending it out to make it compatible, but have not been able to find any such AppleScript on the web. However, the best solution would probably be an actual plug-in for the Mail program to build the functionality into Mail itself.
Surely there is a solution to this problem that does not involve switching to Entourage?
Can any one help?

Problem with an Excel Attachment - Mail adapter

Hello.
I have a problem when I want to attach an excel file. I have configured the communication channel for sending mails with mail package.
I have done the configuration in order to get an excel file. If I test the scenario with Content_Type "text/html" I recieve correctly the information in the mail body.
When I test the scenario with Content_Type "application/vnd.ms-excel", html tags (like: <br>, , &) are not converted. The file is attached as xls, but not converted correctly.
For example, with Content_Type "text/html":
Orders:
1 00023 ER123
2 89798 EHJ21
With Content_Type "application/vnd.ms-excel":
Orders:<br>1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;00023&nbsp;&nbsp; ER123"<br&gt2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;89798&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;EHJ21
I have tested with Content_Type for Word files and I have the same error too.
Do I have to set some special charset in the Content_Type?
Is this an Excel error?

I have generated the Excel file attachment with the following details.
Content-Type:- application/vnd.ms-excel;name="Filename.CSV".
Content: - Field1,Field2,Field3,NewLineCharacter,Field4,Field5,Field6.
Content-disposition = attachment
In R3 NewLineCharacter = CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>NEWLINE.
Select KEEP ATTACHMENT option in Mail receive adaptet config.
Excel file Filename.CSV was generated as attachment as follow.
Field1 Field2 Field3
Field4 Field5 Field6

Having a problem with gamecenter invites

I can't receive any invites and I can't send one also it's really annoying and this situation happens with all games in my iPad can anyone help me please I really need help with that and I'm sure that everything is on notifications and everything that cause a game invite to work ..

Problem with transient attribute attach to standard vo from the controller

Hi all,
I attached two transient attributes to the standard vo through controller.
Then i passed values to these fields from controller based on another field in the standard vo.
I created two columns in the table without given the view instance and view attribute.
But in the controller i'm setting the view instance and view attribute for this two columns.
After i applied this extended controller it is working fine, but one problem is there.
Once if i clear the cache and then i enters the page, the extended fields are appearing with null. if i press F5 in the browser then its working fine.
same problem happens only when the cache cleared or server gets bounced. so i need to go each page and press F5 once then everything is fine.
Here, I shared my code, please tell me what is the problem and how to solve this.

Hi,
1. ExecuteQuery should already be executed in Base Controller, So please check if you need it. though i don't think that might be causing the issue.
cvo.executeQuery();
2. The code where you call findAttributeDef and handle the Exception, Can you debug that portion. As It may not be throwing exception in any case and so the Attributes were never added to VO and Page Displays null..
I am not sure, but i think the issue seems to be around 2.

Problem with Text file attachment

Hello All,
I am sending data from my program via mail in an attachment of text format in 4.6C. But the format of the data in the attachment is not correct. There is no line break in the data.
I've tried putting the line break manually by using hexadecimal code '09' as the line break. But it is not working.

Problem with mailing notepad attachment

Hi experts,
My requirement is to send mail with notepad attachment. Im getting the attachment in mail. But half of the data is converted to junk values and half of the data is coming properly. I tried debugging and found that all the contents are in proper format in the attachment internal table. But when I debug the function module 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1', I find that inside the function module, some of the data is converted to junk. I have 75 fields to be displayed in the notepad.

As of Release 6.10, SAP recommends that you do not continue to use the
API1 interface for sending documents, but the BCS interface instead.

Problems with keywords being attached during import that I did not designate

Hello all -
I am using Lightroom 2.2 on a Windows machine. I was futzing around before watching the videos and somehow now when I import photos, I have a bunch of keywords attached to each one that I had no intention of attaching. Be be clearer - when I am importing - the keyword box is either blank, or I put other keywords in it - NOT the ones that keep showing up. But each time - the keywords I didn't want show up with the ones I did want. I created a custom keyword set by mistake in the beginning, but I went back and erased those keywords, just in case it was auto-adding them. Doesn't make a difference. I'm wondering if I should go back to factory presets for everything, but I'm not sure if that would help, or how to do it.This is really keeping me from importing photos - because if I have several hundred photos, I have to then select them all to delete the keywords, then select them and put in the correct ones....a pain! What am I doing wrong? Many thanks - I've looked everywhere for this answer and it keeps eluding me.. Julie

Never mind! (I think) - it turns out that I had a metadata preset to include those keywords - I have since cleared that box and now none of those offending keywords show up

Problem with GOS view attachment list in SAP Upgrade

Hopefully you are using the YouTube app. The YouTube app expects your google (gmail) ID and password when you log in. If that is what you have tried, have you entered your ID as "<name>@gmail.com"?

Process Bid Invitation status problem

I have a problem in bid invitation.
In Process Bid Invitation
1.I have accepted the bid by using 'Check Bid' option.
2.While i was checking the 'Bid status' it is showing as 'Awaiting approval' even though bid was accepted.

I feel that you must be using SRM 5.0 system.
Please use SAP Note 962488 and follow the function module they have provided to correct this issue.
This problem is occuring due to workflow definition.
To check this problem go to transaction PFTC
Task Type WS Workflow template
Task 79000003
go inside transaction,click on workflow builder and you will get status message as Workflow definition is not in version 0000.
You may require some basis or abap person help to fix this.

Vendor not able to see bid invitations created one day before

Hi friends,
We are workig with SRM5.0 SP08. I have observed that vendors are not able to see bid invitations processed one day before.
Could you pls suggest the probable reason, if anybody has come across similar problem? Bid invitation version is active and can be seen with purchasers login.

all these bid invitation statuses are not closed. its published only. The problem is bidder is not able to see bid invitations with dates in the past.

Ur right. There is also problem with search functionality. In fact I can display list of bid invitations only if I am not giving any search criteria.

Hi,
I am working on SRM 5.0
I got a problem at bid invitation approvals for Non-Catalog items.
Once Non-Catalog SC approves by all approvers then buyer is going to add the bidders.
After adding the bidders it is going for approval to concerned approver. for this mail also sending to bid approver.
When bid approver is login into SRM front-end and click on Approve button. It is asking for confirmation with Yes & No buttons without any text above these Yes No buttons.
Is it standard one or tell me where exactly this text was maintained and how can we check & modify.

This is not my solution.
Let me explain clearly
1. After SC created, Buyer will add Bidders.
2. Click on approval preview.
3. It will be showing one concerned approver for Ex: ( MGR1)
4. A mail will be sending to MGR1.
5. After that MGR1 should log in and clicked on " approve all items " button.
6. In the next screen it is asking final confirmation with YES/NO buttons.
Here my requirement is " I need to be displayed a text above these buttons(YES/NO) ".
So, Where do i need to do that, I mean where it is maintianing.
Please do the needful...!
