hi! i've downloaded pdk novemeber 2002 and installed the new lotus portlet in it. but upon testing the external application link, the following error is shown:

There is an issue with lotusnotes Nov release. We are currently working on it and will make a patch release as soon a possible.

Problem with Lotus Notes portlet

Hi all, i have another problem with the latest Lotus Notes portlet (version 9.0.4.0.0_05062003). I have installed and configured the portlet and the domino server to be used with the Basic Authentication. I followed all the steps in the installation document and everything seems OK. However when i include these portlets in a page, some links (not all) doesn't work, in example: the new contact link. Any of these links opens a new browser window. This window displays that i have successfully configured Lotus Notes External Application, but i can't do anything to perform the action, as to add the new contact. Does anybody have the same problem?, it's a bug? or i have committed an error?
Finally, if i configure the portlet and the domino server to be used with session based Authentication i have the same problem that Remy Vanderplaetsen has posted.
Any help will be very appreciated.

I guess this problem is again with the same portal issue. You need to apply the patch as mentioned in the FAQ.html document for LotusNotes. Please refer this document on how to get and apply the portal patches so that it could work.

Nokia E72 - Problem with Lotus Traveler 8.5.1.3

I have 2 Nokia E72 correctly configured with Lotus Traveler that don't send outgoing the email...
This is my test and configuration:
a) Scenario with emails/calendar without contacts to sync
The devices work perfectly without contacts... ( I receive the emails, and I can send the email, and I can manage the calendar)
b) After that I sync my 5700 contacts from my Notes Address Book ( are them too much for my device?)
- First Device - The device don't sync all contacts and I can't send out my email
- Second Device - The device sync all contacts and I can't send out y email
In both case the email go into local OutGoing folder...and don't send to the server...
There are some problem with 5k of contacts on Nokia E72?
In the Nokia E71 all work correctly ....

So why don't you try to sync less contacts, and to see then, whether the problem is solved ?
Then it already helps you to identify whether or not the issue is related to the number of contacts...

BEx Broadcast email attachment problem with Lotus

In our BW system, broadcasting with email have attachment problem when we look at SOST we can see email has mhtml attachment and looks fine but end-user does not get the attachment. Email server is Lotus and we think that problem is Lotus configuration related. Anyone having same problem come to a solution, help would be appreciated.

Problems with Lotus Notes and AcroPro9.1 collaboration - tracker, email,etc

Hello all -
I have been trying to resolve this for a few days, and it's gotten worse, not better. I've searched forums and blogs - no luck so far.
I am in a corporate Lotus Notes environment, Win XP sp2, AcrobatPro 9.1, reader or pro 9.1 deployed at users in question. With Lotus Notes 8.x open and running, cannot get the collaboration features to work. I get "Lotus notes is not responding. Please make sure it is not offline and try again" when Notes is up and running. Other issues are the good old duplicate email addresses in the to: area, email address and a lot of other text that should actually be in the body of the email appearing in the to: area, etc.
I am trying to push for more automation using Acrobat in my environments, and this is rapidly becoming a serious show-stopper.

Danger Nokia OVI Suite ... problem with Lotus !!!

Nokia Ovi Suite can not communicate with any other Lotus software, but find it after installation.There is no warning! Communicates only with MicroShit.
Update PC Suite to Ovi suite gave me only a waste of time.

I am experiencing the exact same problem with OVI Suite shutting down when I connect my Nokia N8. This is very frustrating considering the original post was done 4 months ago and to date there does not seem to be any resolution.
I am runnig Nokia OVI Suite 3.0.0.290 on Windows 7 Professional with N8 Device Software 0.13.016 installed and have uninstalled and re-installed OVI Suite as well as run RegCure from ParetoLogic to see if it is a DLL conflict but there are none reported.

Sync problems with Lotus

Hi,
I am using a Nokia 3109c with a XP SP2 Computer, connected via USB cable. I installed PC Suite 2 years ago (do not now the old version number) and everything was OK, included the sync with my Lotus Notes calendar.
Now I updated to version 7.1.30.9
PC Suite found the phone and it can import and send everything. But when I try to sync (with the old options) the process starts and end with a warning in the output "PCSync-Information", that the phone has not reacted and that I should ensure that the phone is ready (but it is ready)
I removed the program and reinstalled it, with a lot of restarts, but the problem is the same.
I did not found the problem in the discussion here. Could someone help me?

I have 6650d and PC Suite 7.1.40.6 I could not sync to Lotus calendar, (got message about make sure phone is in idle mode). Once I changed the profile to take the phone offline, then I could sync Lotus calendar.

Problems with ADF portlet

I am evaluating Webcenter and Portlets, specifically ADF portlets. I followed Peter Moskovi's article on portletizing an ADF taskflow (http://pmoskovi.wordpress.com/2008/07/18/jsr-301-the-jsf-portlet-bridge/).
This is an excellent demo to guide on creating a portlet from an ADF taskflow. This demo is for old webcenter with OC4J.
I am working on the JDEV 5407 build with Webcenter externsions. The demo is still pretty accurate for Weblogic Portal (WLP).
I was able to run and deploy my portlet app without any problem. It works find in a stand-alone server. However, I run into problems while consuming the portlet in my PORTAL app. I followed the demo and build the consumer app. Everything looks fine, but at runtime, I get "Portlet Unavailable Error".
Has anyone else followed Peter's demo and built portal and portlets with Bulldog i.e. 5407 build? Did you have any issues integrating the portlet in the portal?
I would appreciate any input.

Problem with lotus sap connector

we r using one bapi which generates one doc No for us.
we save that number in form.
now when we call other BAPI with same docnumber which we got previously.
BAPI is giving ERROR MEssage That no data record with this doc number exist.
if we check same from SAP Logon. IT Founds record.
We r using IBM Lotus SAP Connector.

If i understand it correctl.
You are using 2 SAP calls :
1. First call to SAP is for BAPI which will generate Document no,which is saved by your system.
2.second call is with reference to this doc number created earlier.
You will get error this doc number does not exist,if second call is without an y delay to first call..
Try to keep some delay when the document number gets updated in SAP .& then use second call .
If this does not seem problem, then you can ask SAP system admin team to keep trace on.So that whenever your system calls SAP the data log is generated.& you can find out what's going wrong.

Problem with Email portlet on the Oracle AS

The Email portlet on the Oracle AS which we have successfully deployed it to Oracle Portal. The problem is that this portal does not ask the name and password of the each user that add it. It just initialized with an email address which can not be changed by users

JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 , Portlet + Liferay Portal problem with JSR168 portlet

When i create a portlet using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 or 9.0 + portlet extension when i deploy it to Liferay Portal all versions and when i add the portlet somewhere the portal console prints me infinitive stacktrace... and the portlet never viewed
i think the problem is somewhere in the dispatching dont know ..
any ideas ?

if you connet to OTN via a proy server, make sure this is configured in the JDeveloper preferences for browser and proxy settings. The username and password is your OTN account

Problems with Inter-Portlet Communication in Weblogic Portal 10.3

I'm developing a web application using Weblogic Portal 10.3.
The requirement is that the work requests have to be stored in a workbasket which can be submitted by the user at the end.
The user can create multiple request of same form.
Consider a scenario that the user creates 5 instances or work request in a single form. No he moves back to the 2nd request and modifies it. While modifying the 2nd request a validation message is thrown. Now the user navigates to Workbasket directly by selecting the Workbasket from the menu item.
Now when the user selects any one of the 5 requests, he is able to view the same validation message which is thrown as said in the above scenario. This is happening only when the user navaigates from the workbasket. If the user switches between the request, the problem is not simulated.
Someone please help me how this can be avaoided.

Problem with Adaptive Portlets

We used the adaptive portlets example and developed a master and details kind of portlets in asp.net. After deploying on portal everything works fine If I run the portlets from the portal server. If I move to a different system to test we are getting the javascript problem saying PTHTTPGETRequest is undefined.
Does any one ran into this problem and any idea.

What are you using to include the necessary javascript (i.e. the PTHTTPGetRequest)? If it's the PTLoader then I expect you don't have any pt xml libraries installed (you'd need to install collab or EDK .NET Web Controls), if you're referencing them directly make sure you have the correct (latest) version and the URL resolves.

I have installed the database provider starter examples. I have added two more database portlets to the starter provider. Some users can see them in the portlet repository and some cannot.

How do I know if the p_reference_path is null? What is the p_reference_path? In this code which I used from the starter examples, it looks like if the p_reference_path is not null the portlet won't be runnable.
Does anyone know what and where the p_reference_path is?

Hi Julie,
The reference_path is the unique identifier of the portlet instance. The reference path is assigned to the portlet when it's added to the portal page.
The code above simply checks whether the reference path exists to eliminate error messages. The reference path is undefined for instance in preview mode, when the portlet is displayed on a "non-portal-page".

after point struts-config.xml I get "Cannot parse the struts configuration file".
