Problem with printing from classic

I used to print things out from classic but somehow I can't print anymore. It tell me to go to chooser and choose the printer but I can't choose it. I tried to click on HP printer but no reponse. I tried to reinstall but no use. That reinstalling seems only appy to OS X, no affect on classics. Now what?
I use mostly os X but there are some files I need to print from classic appliction. Funnything is I was able to do it and somehow it does not do it anymore.

You are on the forum for Intel iMacs and in your original message you did state what system you had hence the reply that you can run "Classic" on an Intel iMac.
I would suggest that you report on the forum for PPC iMac instead.

Problem with printing from Acrobat Reader XI

SInce I installed Acrobat Reader XI I have got problems with printing out pages. The text starts a bit down (2 cm) on the paper, resulting that the last part of the text on the page will be missing. And the missing part does not follow on page 2, it just don´t comes out!
It doesn´t matter what settings i click in on the print setting page in Acrobat Reader, it always gets the same result.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?

No files appeared in C:\Users\Pavilion\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings but they did appear in Distiller.
I tried to copied them from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Settings, but found they were already there. I copied them by adding -COPY before .joboptions in the name. Now they appeared in Printing Preferences with the -COPY added.
I tested a print from Word (using File / Print), but was not prompted for the filename or location. I checked my entire system and couldn't find the PDF file anywhere. I tried changing the Port to Desktop\*.pdf using Printer Properties, but that didn't work either.
I was able to successfully use the Acrobat menu item in Word & Excel to create a PDF but it automatically created the file on the Desktop without an option to change the filename.
After several days and hours, I gave up and installed Acrobat X on the W7 computer. I can still use Acrobat XI on the W8 computer. So be it!

Problem with Printing from Spool

Dear Experts,
I am facing the problem with Printing, Once i press the Print button, the spool is generated. But Instead of giving one page, It is generating the more than one page. Some times, the last page its getting is blank. I am confused how this happens.
Kindly solve my issue, this happen frequently.

Illustrator CS6 - Organisation problems with printing from PDF

Hi everybody
I working with the Illustroartor for some times now and I get better every time, but now its appears that’s I have a organization problem with my Illustrator CS6 and maybe somebody can help me here.
My problem: I create for example a logo and this logo I like to print on an Objekt like a Paperclip or a Lighter. I have now a print template as a PDF File (see attachement) with serveral predefined print areas. Around 100 predefined printing areas are on the PDF File and the only way to add my logo into this 100 predefined printing areas is by using the funktion “copy/past” but this takes long time and I have to adjust each single logo into the predefined printing area by hand … so this way don’t make really sense and is also very time consuming.
My question is: Is there any way to automate this process by using e.g. the artboard funktion or some other functions?
I would appreacte any help in this case!!!

Problems with prints from RAW files

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this problem. I uploaded some photos to Kodak through iPhoto, some were JPEG's from my old Canon Powershot and some were RAW files from my new Nikon D40. The images on my monitor from the RAW files from the D40 were great with very vivid colors and I was looking forward to my first prints from the D40. When I received the prints the photos from the old Power shot looked good but the D40 looked terrible. The prints were all washed out and very dull, the strange thing was that there was one photo that was taken with the D40 which was edited and that came out as a good print and seemed to be a JPEG. I guess its something to do with the upload of RAW files, should I be shooting in JPEG ?. I thought that iPhoto uploaded JPEG's

Printed RAW files will always look unsaturated or "dull" until processed and saved as a jpeg or tiff files. Think of RAW/NEF as a means of preserving ALL the available information to later "develop" a final image to be saved as tiff or jpeg for publication. Shooting in Large Fine JPEG mode will yield great results for print and web publishing, and also leave more room on your memory card and computer drive to make more great photos

Having problem with printing from xp to mac shared printer (HP LJ M1005).

I have 2 printers - HP LaserJet M1005 MFP, HP DeskJet 3845.
Both are connected via USB to MacPro and shared.
I have 3 laptops - MacBookPro, IBM ThinkPad T42 (winxp) and HP Compaq nw8000 (winxp).
All these computers are connected via router.
I'm able to print from MacBookPro on both printers.
On IBM and HP I installed Bonjour service and added both printers.
Printing to HP DeskJet 3845 works fine, but HP LaserJet M1005 MFP doesn't.
What happens - When I print from IBM or HP, the job shows up in MacPro, but after 1sec status is changed to "Stopped".
I really don't understand where is problem...
I tried different drivers - Generic driver, HP LaserJet m1005 driver, some other LaserJet drivers. Nothing works...
When I connect HP LaserJet M1005 MFP directly to PC and install drivers, it works fine.

Problem with printing from new Epson CV16DTNF

I have a new Epson CV16DTNF printer (with Multipurpose Tray 1 and additional bulk feed Tray2).
I have set up presets in the normal way for A4 printing from bulk Tray 2 and DL envelope printing from Tray 1.
Each works OK individually but if I try to print A4 straight after an envelope, the Tray 2 paper feed setting is lost (reverts to Autoselect -Tray 1) and the printer starts printing A4 on envelopes!
Am i doing something wrong - if so what should I do to sort this out?

Has anyone had a problem with printing from Elements 9 on a MAC?

When I first installed Elements 9 and tried to print, all I got were blank pages. I contacted adobe support and after an hour on the phone, she referred me to the next level. I then received an email from them asking me to call them and in the meantime, they suggested things I shoud do. I did what they suggested and it worked. I was able to print. However, I was unable to indicate the type of paper or resolution that I wanted to print in. So, I called them again. It seems that on a windows PC, they give you five options for printing: 1. Select printer, 2. Select Settings, 3. Select paper size, 4. Type of print, and 5. Select Print size. On a MAC, You get only three options: Select printer, Select paper size and Select print size. Does anyone know another way to select the settings and type of print. I have been using Elements 4 for years with no problems. Elements 4 gives all the options. I don't understand why it is not the same in Elements 9.

In all the time I have been printing, on any program, the entire window opened up when I clicked on the print button. This one never did. I don't understand why Adobe support never told me about that when I called them.

Problem with printing from word 97

I have HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One installed. Unfortunately my fother still uses MS Word 97 because he knows it best. Any try to print a document from Word 97 results in crash of the programm without any error message. It just closes when he tries to choose HP C5280 in the print dialogue. Other office programms don't have this problem. I already updated drivers and software to the newest version. Is there an update for compatibility with MS Office 97 or my father have to learn to use another office programm??

Try taking all of the spaces out of the printer name. There also seems to be a problem if you switch from normal print to draft in some models. I think the problem is with word 97. Still a great program.

Problem with printing from file to printer

I've been having problems printing more than one page of text from a file to a specified printer in addition to the fact that the number of pages the print dialog says are to be printed is always 9999! I have tried overriding functions from Pageable too, which gave me problems. I tried making the pageIndex more than one page, but it just prints out blank pages after the first, even if there is more data in the file that should have been printed. Well, I changed some things around, and assuming that in a file around 45 lines is a normal page, I am able to get the right amount of pages to be displayed in the dialog and to print, but still, the first page is printed fine and the rest are blank. I am baffled as to what I'm doing wrong. Printing to a printer should not be this hard to do! I have also noticed that many other people have had the same problem, but with no solutions. I am using the jdk 1.3.1 - is that a problem? Here is my new code and if anyone can propose a solution to the blank pages problem I would be very grateful!

Problem with printing from Powerpoint 2007

Am printing to pdf from Powerpoint 2007 (using Acrobat 8.1.4), using the Print>Select Printer>Adobe PDF route, but the pdfs that are being created look terrible (distorted, washed out colours, etc) and print even worse. Is there an incompatibility problem, or has a setting gone awry? Thanks in advance.

It may vary. I have seen some strange results from OFFICE 2007, where there apparently are some hooks built into the MS software. You might try with OFFICE 2003 or OpenOffice. I have used OFFICE 2003 for some things and gotten excellent results, where OFFICE 2007 created issues. I know that it is OFFICE 2007 since I also played with different versions of Acrobat for Office 2007 and got the same strange results, where things were fine with OFFICE 2003. I just created a new PDF from PPT 2007 and the results were looking fine. For folks to be able to comment more effectively, they need to be able to duplicate what you did and I am not sure that can be done with the information you have provided. Specifically, what job settings file did you use in the Adobe PDF printer, etc.

Problems with printing from SQL Developer Data Modeler 2.0

I am not able to print my Relational Model (SubView) from Data Modeler 2.0 Build 584. Only an empty page comes out. If I don't reduce the Print Scale (usually to 10-30%) I get something but then it is lots of pages. I have tried A4 and A3 format. Printing to JPEG or PDF seems to be ok.
I have relational data model with 25 tables in my SubView.
Is there any restriction on Print Scale or number of objects in the diagram?
Do I have to install SQL Developer as well? I have just Data Modeler insalled.

Problem with printing from an URL

Hi, my first post on this forum......so hello everyone !!
Im trying to print a file on my server from a flash app, I
have been using the printJob class.
This function always spools the whole of my parent .swf file
and not the file pointed at by the URL(a.pdf).
Is this possible ? what changes do I need to make ??

i don't think the addPage method can put an external document
in the
printing queue, just Flash content
probably you'll have to wait for Adobe releasing Apollo

When we send books to our printers for some reason in the middle of the book we get squares. Does anybody know how to fix that problem? I appreciate everybodies help.

Thanks, for info, iPod Classic is a slower machine compared the Nano, unfortunately, if you read these discussions, majority of the freezes involved iTunes 10. Although if might be just slow and some impatient user just disconnect the iPod ands cause more problems. ( Yes I also did that but safely by doing a iPod Hard Reset, before disconnecting).

or my usual solution for Windows Users.
Antivirus has a tendency to freeze iTunes sync Operation with iPod Classic, causing a timeout, which corrupt your iPod filesystem, so when iTunes can't read the iPod, it is pointing to this problem. Other causes is when your iPod hardisk is dying, or your battery is dying causing hardisk crashes.
My suggestion.
Connect your iPod to the PC and run chkdsk, to fix any iPod diskerror, then disconnect it, after chkdsk complete.
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
Stop the Antivirus program
Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC, do not use any USB Hub.
When iTunes Open up, Restore your iPod please, this is for iTunes to map correctly, to fix the corrupted filesystem.
When Restore complete, eject the iPod and reconnect again.
Sync your ipod, preferably manually Manage in small batches and disconnect after every batch, to check that all is well.
When all sync is complete, and iPod disconnected, start back your Antivirus and connect back the Internet.
