Problem with Profiles

My Emac has several user accounts. I noticed some time ago that the S key has stopped functioning in the Admin. account, but it functions normally in the others. Can anyone advise what the problem might be, and how to solve it?

Have you tried opening System Preferences> Keyboard & Mouse, Keyboard Shortcuts tab, and checking if the 's' key by itself has somehow been assigned to some action? It might also help to drag /Users/ [admin user's name]/ Library/ Preferences/ com.apple.keycaps.plist to the Desktop and logging out and back in to see if that helps (it it doesn't, drag the .plist file back from the Desktop; if it does, redo your keyboard settings).

Problem with profiles in the site window

Hey everyone,
I've been looking all around the web for this and couldn't
find it.
I have a major problem with DW site window, more specifically
the profiles: it is way too slow !!!!
1. When i change from a site to another one, it takes up to
10 sec.
2. When i want to change the settings of a site it takes up
to 20 sec to open the properties window...same as when I want to
add a new one.
3. Sometimes, the login/pass of my FTP acount is forgotten
and i need to re-enter it !
All the rest is fine and works perfectly as usual, so it may
not look as my PC is involved...
I've tried to uninstall and re-install DW but it does not
work as the profiles may be stored somewhere else and as soon as I
open my new DW, the sites are in !
Can anyone could tell me where are stored those profiles so I
could try to dump all about this and re-install DW.

Problem with Profile-Update-Request

I have a problem when I Try to use the profile update request.
First, I can use the "User-Data-Request" without problems. I use this sentences:

Ipad 2 802.1X PEAP Authentication problem (With profile from IPCU)

I'm in the processes of setting up a new wireless network for a costumer.
A little info about the hardware:
Cisco WLC 5508
Cisco AP 2602i
Cisco ISE - radius server
ipads gen 4 (iOS 6)
EAP-TLS (windows machines) and PEAP (Other stuff, ipads, andriod etc) as authentications methods
The radius server is using a server certificate from thier own PKI infrastructure therefor i need to push the root certificate of their CA to the clients in order to verify the authentication server. For this I use the iphone/ipad configuration utility.
I use the Use Per-connection password option
User that are allowed to connect are placed in a specific group in there AD.
The problem that I have is:
When a user thats not allowed to connect tries to authenticate to the network the ipad says stop and thats the way it supposed to be.
BUT after someone has faild to authenticate to the network and somebody else tries to connect the ipad only ask for a password and not a username.
I cant seem to get rid of this popup and therefor the ipad cant connect.
If I don't use the profile I can forget about the network and after that i can connect with a different user.
But then i can't verify the server-certificate and use the option per-connection password!
Please help!
Has someone else seen this type of bug.

Hi, I am new with 802.1x, and was hoping that someone would help with these queries:
1. How is a certificate requested without being allowed on a network that is not authenticated with 802.1x. I had to first connect to an active network, retrieve a certificate with the proper username and password, and then physically connect to the port on the 2950 switch which was enabled to do 802.1x
2. My config is as below:
aaa new-model
aaa authentication dot1x default group radius
aaa authenication login default group radius
dot1x system-auth-control
interface f0/1
switchport mode access
dot1x port-control auto
end
I able to login using the radius server, so radius is working (on ports other than f1/0). However when connecting to f1/0, the port on the 2950 remains blocked.
3. The certificate is issued by the ca server, is viewable via Internet explorer,and is issued to the correct username which is on the active directory.
I even tried using local authenication with 802.1x, this did not work
4. If I have a certificate, will this automatically give me access to the 802.1x port?
5. I have windows 2000, and authenication is set to 'Smart Card or other certificate.
Am I missing anything?
Any advise will be greatly appreciated

Problem with Profiles in AC RAR 5.3

I only get a part of the profiles. The other roles are read by the system, but somehow, they are ignored. Log:

If you check: Note 1168120 - Risk Analysis and Remediation 5.3 Support Package (VIRCC) you'll be able to see some errors that are corrected in newer SPs, for example:
"When running Profile Sync, it runs successfully but no profiles are actually loaded. The log shows the job was successful, but the RAR tables are not updated." This error is corrected in SP13.
You can check database table VIRSA_CC_GENOBJ in order to know if the profiles get loaded or not.
Also you can check if you have the correct versions of VIRSANH and VIRSANH (Note 1352498), the user credentials used in the Jco and the install guide (5.1 SAP GRC Risk Analysis and Remediation Configuration).

KB2956170 Problem with profile setup - Outlook 2013

After installing KB2956170, any new users that do not already have an Outlook profile cannot access mail. When attempting to connect to the Excahnge server, you never get prompted for your smart card credentials and then the profile setup fails.
If you remove the update, everything is fine again.

Problem with .profile

Hi.
I have been editing the .env files for the db user on the application node of our development db and now when I log back in as that user I get this:
su - appdbdev
.profile[3]: !/bin/sh: not found.
.profile[3]: dev: not found.
Does this mean that I have something in the profile to edit? (I cant see anythin), or is it something else??

WPA2 problems with profile management

Brand new X61, tried to connect to a wireless WPA2 network at home (pre-n router). I have the Intel ABG mini PCI adapter. IF I use lenovo profile management, it asks me politely to enter the PSK. But then it never connects. If I disable the profile maangmeent (Use Windows to manage this connection) then I get connected, but it takes a long time (2 minutes or so) to get an address. However, profile management keeps trying to take over. And when it does, the connection failes, and it turns the radio off. And I have to manually go through the process again.
It seems like there is a time out causing the problem, can this be adjusted?
It seems like the abg card is taking an inordinate amount of time to lock in on WPA2 networks, could a driver be the problem? Can this be rolled back since I have the latest installed?
Any other suggestions? BTW, it works fine if WPA is disabled, but that's not an option...

Problems with profile?

i have been using my express to run airtunes as well as an internet connection to my laptop. i had been gone over the weekend and when i turned my laptop on it couldn't find my network. i hadn't made any changes to the settings and i had used airport at several other places so i know it's not the wireless card. i called my service provider and they told me everything looked fine on their end.
i tried resetting express and it came up with a generic apple network which did show up over airport. from there i went to the express setup and looked at the list of profiles where my old profile was listed. however, when i try and select this to change my settings back to where i had them, i lose my connection and airport cannot find a connection.
does anyone have an idea of why this would be happening or what i'm doing wrong?? my next guess is to just delete the old profile and set-up a new one but i'm not sure why this happened or if there is something wrong with AE.
any comments would be appreciated. thanks!

Do you have multiple Locations set for AirPort on your iBook? If so, did you remember to switch back to the one appropriate for your home network?
To rule out the AirPort Express (AX) from being the issue, you should perform a "factory default" reset to get it back to it's "out-of-the-box" condition. Note: this will delete any saved profiles on the AX. (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=108044)
Once reset, you can now configure it, as appropriate, for your network.

Problem With Profile Pics Not Appearing in iMesage

Why is it that I can have a profile picture added to a person in my contacts list, yet that picture may or may not show up in a conversation in iMessage? For some of my contacts the picture does appear, and for some it does not. I'm having this issue on my iPad Air and my iPhone 4.

On the iPad you will see pictures in the left-hand panel for each message thread but this feature is not implemented on the iPhone.
The Mac, in addition, shows the contact picture on each individual message.

Nokia 7230 problem with profiles

Nokia 7230 keeps asking if I want to activate Flight profile at start-up even though I have only ever used General profile.

is it a box ? Go to messaging ,options,sim messages ,delete these messages .

Good evening opening profile manager lion servers seem to me these 2 errors:
1 SC.Error: sc4011: lengths of pendingStoreQueryPairsguidsFromRemoteand did not match!

How do I delete these 2 errors that I deny the use of profilemanager?

go to MMBE and check the Current Serial number...for FHMI type
and go to IQ02 and close the Serial number range at the Current number range...
Now you can assign this serial number range to another material type...

7310 - Problem with CIFS and Roaming Profiles since upgrade to 2010.Q1.0.2

We have developed a strange problem with our environment which I'm pretty sure is down to the upgrade to 2010.Q1.0.2 from 2009.Q3.4.1 on our 7310 (all the previous 2009 releases had been fine) since nothing else has changed in our environment. I suspect some changes to the underlying CIFS server causing this?
We have virtual Windows servers hosted on a VMWare VSphere cluster which are stored on the 7310 via iSCSI LUNs and also CIFS shares on the 7310 for home directories and separate CIFS shares for roaming profiles - all paths are correct in AD for each user - we also use folder redirection for XP Pro clients to force things like "Application Data", "My Documents" etc. onto the Homedir share.
What we've been seeing recently (which only started happening after the upgrade) is a lot of failed logons to the domain for users. It looks like the usual corrupted profile problem that has plagued Windows forever ...the usual messages that it cannot log the user on with a copy of their roaming profile, and that it will use a temporary one. Some folder redirections (that are initiated via Group Policy) also don't get applied. Users don't see errors when logging off from a "good" profile, and NTUSER.DAT etc. seemingly gets written correctly - the next time they log on, around half the time the users will get these errors as described below:
Event viewer logs show "cannot find the file specified" errors for NTUSER.DAT, along with "directory name is invalid" errors for some of the folder redirections.
More worrying (and what I think might be the real reason for these failures) are the "offline caching is enabled on the roaming profile share" errors. I think that the client-side caching might not be working - possibly the profiles aren't getting flushed and written correctly upon logout?
Now, unfortunately the MMC snap-in for managing shares doesn't seem to support changing the behaviour for client-side caching on the CIFS shares (as confirmed in the latest 7000-series Admin Guide on page 198).
I've been thinking about unchecking the "Enable Oplocks" box which from the CIFS side would completely stop all client-side caching I presume?
Is this likely to be the culprit here, or is there any other known behaviour that could be causing these errors? Is it also worth disabling "Cache device usage" altogether for the Profiles share itself?
Can anyone help? It's a bit of a strange problem, and something I don't want to raise with Sun on our support contract just yet, since at first glance it looks like a Windows problem, but I suspect the storage could well be to blame...

Unfortunately, this is still not working correctly...
So, it looks like it's not related to the offline caching seeing as it all works on the Q2009 despite the warnings...
Some more errors coming out of userenv.log on the affected Windows machines:

...which then forces the TEMP profiles.
All other errors linked to this look like "file not found", "invalid path" etc. when the files are present and the paths are correct.
Manually mapping drives using CIFS with UNC paths sporadically fails too now. We have a bunch of GPOs that map shares to users depending on their group memberships - these too are sporadically failing.
It certainly looks to me like it could be a CIFS problem introduced in the Q2010 release.
I'm going to raise a ticket with Sun...
