Problem with Text Messages

Hi,
I have a 5530 XpressMusic phone with around 4000+ text messages saved on the memory card.
Whenever the number of text messages increases above approximately 3500+ messages, the new text message alert stops appearing, no tone or vibration alerts. Even delivery reports refuse to appear.
Nokia PC Suite (Latest version) has a lot of trouble displaying those texts as well (So that I could backup the data) and nothing appears in Communication Center.
I had the exact same problem with the older N70 ME and had to delete texts to get back to normal. Its going to be very cumbersome to go through all those messages and pick and prune to a size that the phone/Suite can handle.
I have the latest firmware. Any help with this?

ok this isn't any help sorry,but can't find anywhere to post a new thread,so this is the closest post i've found so hopefully i can get some help here :robotmad:
   when i have "backed up" my messages from the phone to my memory card AND picked my memory card as the place where my messages are stored,i put the memory card into my pc to browse the memory card i cannot find anything on there relating to the back up or my messages,i've gone through all the folders i can see,even the empty ones(btw do i need keep the empty folders or can i delete them),now this is really "bugging" me as my little lad sent me a merry christmas text message so i wanted to do the above action so i could save the message on my pc as a keeps sake

Problem with Text Messaging on new iphone with non iphone users

Ever since I set up imessage forwarding to be able to send/receive text messages on both my mac book pro and iphone people with non iphones are not getting my text messages from either device.
In my settings - messages - text message forwarding it only has one device enabled which is my mac book pro. There is an option to enable my iphone. Do I need to do that? I did try and it's asking me for a code. If i do need to do this where on my phone do i get this code? Thank you.

C7 - Problem with text messages - Help please!

I have had my Nokia C7 since November and have not been able to use it! When I send a text message less than 160 characters I am charged between 2 and 3 times on my bill. The text message is being sent once and the recipient is receiving the text once. I have done everything that I have been asked by my provider from software upgrades to a brand new sim card to sending the phone off to be repaired to having a replacement but nothing works .. If I use my sim card in my old Nokia N79 then I don't have this problem. I recently tried a pay as you go sim card in the Nokia C7 and the same thing happened!
Any suggestions please??

Thanks for confirming .. Just so frustrating as getting no where with T Mobile. The technical person insisted that I had sent 3 text messages despite the fact that 1 was sent all because that is what was showing on his system! I had to go into the shop with a copy of my usage and the phone showing the text messages to prove only 1 text had been sent. They just don't seem to be able to resolve the issue. I just don't know what else to do. I haven't been able to use this new phone since November

Problems with text messages and internet access

I have an Apple 5c and over the last few weeks my text messages to most people had not been completing the send. Now, in addition, I am not receiving most messages and I can't access the internet for most apps (like maps, yahoo search, youtube). Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to go about fixing it?

Try removing then reinserting the SIM card -

It may just need a refresh to reconnect to the network again.

Problems with text messages due to changing to galaxy s5

So I'm not receiving any text messages from iPhone users! I had an iPhone, and recently swapped to a galaxy s5! If anyone can help!? It will be greatly appreciated

If you have recently switched away from the iPhone and are having issues receiving messages from iPhone users, you may find the following article helpful:

Also, if possible, you may want to see if your contacts can delete any current message conversations they are having with you to ensure that their phones recognize that you are no longer using iMessage.

Problem with text messaging

recently activated my iphone, i can make and receive calls...and i can send text messages but I cant receive them from other carriers.
so at&t customers can text me and I get them, but other carriers text messages never come through to my phone. i called at&t and they cant figure it out..cause I received their test message but the issue is unresolved. any thoughts?

I've got a similar problem, except there's just a small amount of people that I don't get texts from rather than every other carrier. AT&T said they fixed it, but it's still no good...I'm probably going to go in there tomorrow.

Problem with text messages import to PC Suite

When I connect my Nokia E55 to PC Suite (7.1.30.9) it sees messages correctly. Just in a second it updates messages from the phone and I get only multimedia messages on PC Suite - no text messages at all.
Plus I can not move messages from Draft folder to another folder.
System info:PC Connectivity Solution:

Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver:

Did that. No change. When you start Nokia Communication Centre it sees all messages and does it correctly. But in few seconds it udates itself (or you do it manually) and then there are only MMS's in the window.
Plus, i forgot to mention, that i can not send messages from PC Suite ("failed to send the message").
I think it must be fixed somehow, since no one else is complaining of that.

Im having a problem with text messaging on my Iphone4s

The problem started about 2 days ago. Me and my friend were texting and all of a sudden he stopped getting my text. Now i texted him asking if he got my text, and he said No. So we figured it was just a error no biggie right? then it started happening again about 2 hours later. Now we can text but sometimes he doesnt get my text. The text on my phone says that the message was sent, but its as if the text was sent but got lost? if that makes sense. He does get my texts most of the time but sometimes he doesnt. Now this is not happening to any one else i text, its just him. I dont know if its because of the phones? or what? could it be his phone? i Im trying to figure out why this is happening all of a sudden. And i have no clue why. If someone could please answer my question.

Are you able to send and receive text from all other contacts on your phone and everyone in the U.S. What country are they sending text from. Have they been able to text you previously? Did they ensure they are not being blocked from their international carrier? If you are able to send and receive text from everyone else, the issue may not be your phone and they will need to check with their carrier for any issues. I replaced my iPhone with a Galaxy 5 and am not receiving all of my text messages. The sales person told me to remove my phone number from iTunes to stop this from happening. Is that true? What does iTunes have to do with text messages?

Solved: InDesign CC: Problems with text in text box: text flows around invisible object

I just upgraded from CS4 to CC. I have two problems with text in some text boxes:
The text seems to flow around invisible object that I cannot find or delete. It's as if there is a photo or other object behind the text box; but when I press COMMAND-a to select all, I don't see any such object.
When I move this text box, the layout of the text within changes. For example, when the box is high on my spread, the text flows correctly within the box; but when I move it down, it flows around that hidden other object. For another example, when the box is low on the page, the text starts at the top of the box; but when I move the text box up, the text starts somewhere in the middle of the box.
I have checked margins of the text box and the paragraph options of the text paragraphs (margins, indents, alignments). They all look OK.
If I modify the text box, checking the box "Ignore text wrap", then the problem goes away; but then the text also will not flow around a real object that I want it to flow around.
Solution:
There were objects in a hidden layer on that one spread. It seems that in CS4 when you "select all" you would also select objects in hidden layers; but in CC it doesn't.

Phone is really slow with text messages

hi, im new here and lookin for a little help. iv had the phone for a few months and now my curve freezes when i try to open a text message. also when i press send it freezes up. i dont have to restart it or anything but it takes about 7 seconds to regain itself. this only happens with text messages. emails work fine, facebook notifications work fine. i send and receive quite a bit of texts, emails, and facebook notifications and i have 14 applications. i did the update/ recovery& reboot thing on my computer. i have wifi preferred as my connection preference and tmobile is my mobile network. any tips? or do i have to just live with this?
EDIT: i searched around on the forum a little bit and resolved the issue. i didnt know that it was only happening when i texted one person because i mostly only text this one person. but i guess i had to go to my phone book and text this person thru that instead of just replying. after that i can open and reply with no problem. sorry for takin up space on the forum. im new lol

Sometimes I think I don't get told about a message until I unlock my phone and when I do I get a notification and a text tone as I unlock and it can be off a conversation I was having 10/15 minutes ago.

Problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97 (V22)

Since afew weeks I have a strange problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97.
I receive emails using Nokia Messaging (V10.2.26) with a date shown incorrect as 01.01.0000 and the email then can’t be opened/read.
This happens either on 3G connection as well as WLAN and it seems to be by random, not only HTML-emails or emails with text only.
I have uninstalled Nokia messaging already and reinstalled V10.1.24 but the problem still remains.
Is there any idea how to fix this issue because it is quite annoying and I can’t use the full functionality of my cell phone?

absolutely m8. thats why i gave you a kudos.
the challenge is that NM has been unruly as of late...and believe when i say that i have literally been on the phone teching nokias support up to tier 2 and creating, canceling, trying new acounts with different email, different ways of creating them, with wifi, gprs...and praying for hours accross mutliple phone calls
but to no avail, are the devices we are using connecting and syncing...even with thier n900 specialist which i had to help him! lmao.
another option for a solution is alwayhs welcome as there are more then one way to skin a cat.
i hope it works for him and others as i kno9w thesome that are just giving up on it.

Having problems with texts width when viewed in Firefox

I My site is OK when viewed in Chrome and Safari, but in Firefox, the width of paragraphs is becoming very long and all is displayed wrong.
I need a clue where to look to fix. I have not , or very little knowledge of HTML code. So I rely on the DW CS5 interface.

Has anyone have a problem sending text messages and the messages won't get delivered after few minutes? From time to time I would have this problem and it's annoying. I would expect someone to receive it by then and response to my text right away. But when I look up the text it hasn't been delivered and it's in the process. I would hear that the message get delivered after few minutes? What gives? I never had a problem with my iphone 4 i think? Now with iOS 5 it let's me know whether it is delivered or not. This new feature is awesome but disappointing when I know my text hasn't been delivered right away. I'm not sure if it's the software or my iphone 4s or my carrier? anyone suggestions? Thanks!!

I have the same problem when sending iMessages.. Wasnt sure if it was apple or Sprint? But it happens VERY often and I end up having to send it as a text message instead
