Problem with the way fonts display in Internet Explorer

Howdy. I built a site about a week ago (first crack at this). It has quite a bit of content but seemed to be fine on Safari, Netscape and Firefox. I checked it out at work on a PC with Internet Explorer 6 and there were typography problems. I intentionally used simple web fonts (all Arial) to hopefully minimize this sort of thing. I used a 70% tint of Black for the font color on all the fonts. On Explorer the fonts display fine on pages 1, 2, 3, and 4. On page 5 the type appears blurry, really greyed and spread. I can't figure out why (same fonts and styles).
As an experiment I tried posting just a couple of pages with the type at 100% black. The really bad pages weren't so bad (but not nearly as good as on the other browsers.) The site is rballister.com. If you click on any of the links (picture boxes) on the "print & mail index" pages you will see the problem with the type. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Because I thought it would be a nice effect, I decided to use the slider in the color pallette and change to color of the type from 100% black to 70% black (which is to to say a shade of gray). I'm referring to text that I keyboarded into iWeb. As previously mentioned, the gray type worked just fine on most browsers but caused problems in Internet Explorer (in a seemingly random way. Still can't figure out the reason). When I changed the type to black on a white background (black and white), the problem wasn't as bad as it was in Explorer, but still not nearly as good as in the other browsers.

Is your problem due to the keyboard or to NeoOffice Characters? You have to change probably the font. Not all fonts are supporting all Unicode sets. Which font you have in your NeoOffice set to write Tamil? Try with Arial Unicode MS for example.
Are the letter e-Ex and ai-Ex right in your posting? If they are right, how you inserted these letters in your posting? By copy and paste or by typing? If by typing, your question is related to NeoOffice. Probably you should reinstall or update NeoOffice? Or switch to OpenOffice?

Problem with the way text is selected.

Hoping someone might have answer...
The way text is being selected in some pdf's i have been using has suddenly changed. I am not sure if there is a setting that changed or what but i am totally mystefied. The text from the pdf was selecting by line, by line, and now its kind of doing it by "column" in a way, where the text on the clipboard now has extra carriage returns. One day it was this way, the next it was a different way.
To illustrate the format of the pdf, its layed out like:
"The seating arranements will be as follows"                     "Jack1     Jill1"
                                                                                    "Jack2     Jill2"
                                                                                    "Jack3     Jill3"
The pasted text into notepad used to look like this:
"The seating arranements will be as follows Jack1 Jill1"
"Jack2 Jill2"
"Jack3 Jill3"
Now for whatever reason it looks like this all of the sudden:
"The seating arranements will be as follows Jack1 Jill1"
"Jack2"
"Jack3"
"Jill2"
"Jill3"
The pdf doesnt contain any tags as far as i know but i just dont understand why it changed. I have tried it on three different computers with different versions of Reader. Any ideas? I dont know much about pdf, i wrote some code that parses copied text from pdfs and now this is throwing it off

Font smoothing style set to "Automatic-Best for main display"
In Safari preferences what do you have Text encoding set to?
Is it Western (ISO Latin 1) that is what we have our set to on the
macbookpro, if not try it.

Mr Magoo has problems with the small font print in the "Everything Mac" man

Well thanks to a one year no payments offer by my local Future Shop i purchased the iMac 3.0.6GHz.
However the "Everything Mac" manual and other enclosed printed documents are printed in extremely small fonts.
Is there a download site for a pdf version which may allow me to print or view the instructions in larger print.
Lordy, SteveJobs must have extremely good vision.

If you find a PDF copy such as this http://manuals.makeuseof.com.s3.amazonaws.com/the-mac-manual.pdf - open that in Safari and zoom to your heart's delight.
As well, go to System Preferences/Universal Access and see if any options there help out.
And finally, if you also have the new Magic Mouse, simply hold down on the Control Key on your keyboard and 'scroll' with one finger fore/aft on the mouse top to zoom with ease.
Good luck and any case and enjoy your new Mac.
Just a note....be sure that manual is current with the OS version on your new computer - things have changed in many ways and if you're learning, you should learn in sync, etc.

A problem with the Bembo font in Pages

I've designed a document using the Bembo font and it keeps substituting "Expert" for "Regular." I've actually removed "Expert" from my font book and yet I'm still having this problem. Any suggestions for how to fix this glitch?

Look for an otf verion of the font or convert your Type 1 postscript to an otf.
Check the actual font name and verify it in Font Book.

Print and even print preview comes out unreadable. Do i need to change any internal print options. My printer works with the old firefox and windows internet explorer for the SAME document. I only have a problem printing while in firefox 4.0.

My printouts from web pages using the previous firefox and internet explorer products work.

There's a bug in 4.0b12, which is fixed in 4.0RC.
Open '''Help > About Firefox''' and it should check for and install the update. If it doesn't, use the '''Check for Update''' button in that "About" dialog.

For the app that is from the above download, if I am to do the same thing to handle with the image like what the app did within doGet that reside in ImageServlet, how can I simplify the steps? For instance, within doGet, it refers to one other class “ULDLAppModuleImpl” which will refer to one other “ImageAccessViewImpl”, which will refer to one other “ImageAccessView” ….

Problems with page not showing up in Internet Explorer

I uploaded my page. All was fine. Looked good in all
browsers.

Now all of a sudden my index.htm page (also have default.htm
page) shows up as a black screen only no pictures. No words.
All of the sub pages show up fine if you add that to the
address. Just the Index. is not showing up in Internet Explorer.

Problems with ABAP Keyword Documentation after install Internet Explorer 7

After install Internet Explorer 7 I see left frame with tree in ABAP Keyword Documentation, but don't see right frame.
I find note 857216, but it not approach.

Once the page is opened, try to refresh the page a few times. I have seen this couple of times but just refreshing the same will solve the problem I believe.

Problems with Vertical Spry menu bar in Internet Explora

Hi I'm new to Dreamweaver,
I having trouble with a new site I'm making in CS4. A problem with a vertical menu bar, in IE. Can anyone help?
1. The text is left aligned and should be centered.
2. The menu bar has moved left
3. My paragraph text has moved up the page and aligned itself to the to the menu bar.

Sorry, but your CSS is has been mangled beyound recognition.
The solution is to start with an untouched style sheet. Then add or modify the CSS testing in your browsers as you make the changes.

Problem with the way text is displayed.

Recently I noticed that almost all of the text in my display is bold. This is preventing me from seeing new messages in my email and it's preventing me from viewing some websites properly. I've tried looking in the preferences for safari, but I can't find anything about things being bold.

Problems with the text/font in email

My iphone 4S is now, independently, displaying my email content in microscopic font. I even get some emails where the content "floats" across the screen. Why is that happening and how do I fix it?

i found that anti-alias is only good for bigger text
(12-24px).
whereas anything below 12 looks best when antialias is turned
off.
alias text is best for 8-12px. more crisp, less blurry.
I suppose text type would play a factor in this, but the
above, I realized for generic text (arial, geneva, etc.).

Content of site does not display in Internet Explorer

I am designing the local Budget rent a car site in the Virgin
Islands using Dreamweaver CS3 and the help of CSS.
In the beginning it displayed well on every browser even
Internet Explorer. Then as I fine-tuned it I must've changed
something in my coding, cause now only the front page displays in
Internet Explorer and all the other pages only show a white block.
I've been sitting on this issue for a few days already, so
any help would be much appreciated.
