Problem with Time Dimension generating

Hello, everybody.
I have a problem with Time Dimension generating with the help of the Standard Wizard.
1. I choose Dimensions -> New -> Using Time Wizard
2. Set Name as "Time"
3. On the next screen I choose ROLAP: Relational Storage
4. On the next screen set Start year: 2003, Number of years: 3
5. On the next screen choose all levels of the Normal Hierarchy
On the 6-th step Wizard complete 60% of job and hang up doing nothing (buttons "Cancel" and "Help" is active).

Problem with time dimension aggregation

I have a time dimension with 2 columns:Year and week
I've created a hierarchy in it to drill down from the year to the week.
when I report the sales in week level I have the right values but when I report the sales value in year level I don't have the right aggregation.Even if the year Level is a grand Total in the hierarchy.
The problem is that for all the years I have the same value but when I add the week level to the report Then I have the right values.
What could be the problem

1.Actually the drill down Route path is not properly generated with your given key columns in herarchies.
need to give correct key columns
like year(YYYY)-->Week(wee should be the unique column for each and evry year)
suppose:
2000-sunday
2001-sunday should be different
so mostly the problem at your week column make the unique yearweek column as the key identifier at that level
Every Week is unique cause the logical key is a combination of the year and the weeknumber
2.if not you need to set individual levels for measures in content tab...
you mean by the content tab the level tab when you doubleclick into the measure???

SPRUNCALCACCOUNT to copy PL results to BS problem with time dimension

Hi there,
I'm trying to copy PL result to BS account using account transformation with a simple configuration without informing source period. I'm running the datapackage informing the time dimension. it works fine for 2008.JAN but if we try with 2008.FEB we get same result. We have tried with several time periods allways getting 2008.JAN results copied to BS destination account.
Any ideas on what we're doing wrong.

Problem with Time Capsule backup

My Time Capsule is a first gen (500 GB), and I recently upgraded to Lion on my iMac. It seems like right around the time I upgraded that I started having problems with Time Machine backups. They will complete, but then the disk does not eject from my desktop. I am running the Time Capsule buddy widget, and here's the log file:

You can see at the end where I ejected the disk manually.

I finally resolved this. However, I had to erase the entire backup on my 3tb and start with a new backup. I connected via hardwire to make it go faster. No problems now.

URGENT ! JDEV 10.1.2 Problem with data control generated from session bean

I got a problem with data control generated from session bean which return a collection of data transfer object.
The dto's seem to be correct. The session bean load correctly the data into and the object's are plenty of data. Using the console to display the dto content is ok.
When generating a data control from this session bean and associate the dto included in the collection only the first object level and one-to-one dto object are correctly setted in the data control. Object that represent collection into the dto (one-to-many foreign key) are setted as collection with an iterator but the structure of the object is not setted. I don't know how to associate this second level of collection with the dto bean class to obtain the attributes definition.
I created a case with hr schema like the hrApp demo application in the tutorial with departments and employees table. I got the same problem.
Is it a bug ?
It exists a workaround to force the data control to understand the collection data structure ?
Help is welcome ! this is urgent !!!

we found the problem by assigning the child dto bean class to the node representing the iterator in the xml file corresponding to the master dto.

Another problem with Time Machine

This is the second time I have experienced the following problem with Time Machine. After 2 months of backups it gets to a point where backups fail and I cannot enter time machine. In each instance I have only used 110GB of the 500GB space.
Is there a better solution to fixing this problem than deleting the sparsebundle? That seems to be the only way to get it to back up again.

Problem with Time Capsule after backup session

I have a problem with Time Capsule after a backup session. Our two Macs (on Maverick) loose connection with the station and the only thing that seems to help is unplugging the Time Capsule and starting it again! After the next backup session the same thing happens again. The Macs seem not to be able to hold on to the connection and continually loose it. The iPhones and iPads that we have (4 units) are not affected - it is the Mac Mini and Mac Powerbook that experiences this problem!
I would be grateful for your help!

This is standard Mac issues and has been a bug floating around since Lion.. it hits some people worse than others.. but once it starts it is awful hard to get rid of.
Just to confirm the connection to internet is not a problem?? Just the hard disk drops out?
I recommend you
1. Reset the TC to factory.. and start over with all new names.. short, no spaces pure alphanumeric.
TC name and wireless name/s should conform. By default the disk share name is data which is fine.
2. Mavericks has changed over from using AFP to SMB for network filesharing.. why Apple why??
This is unhelpful to say the least. Many many people are struggling with TC and being unable to mount the network drive.
So do it manually and force it back to AFP.
In Finder use top menu, Go, Connect to Server.
Type AFP://TCname or TCIPaddress (it must be the network name of actual TC.. or its IP address)
When the computer locates the resource it will ask for a password.. it is public by default.. supply your password or public and save it in the keychain.
3. Delete the existing TM setup and start over.. See A4 here. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
I cannot promise this will fix it but should reduce the problem to now and then.. rather than every time TM needs to backup.

Month Sort Order Problem in Time Dimension(Essbase with Obiee)?

I am facing issue with month order in answers.
First I created BSO cube using Essbase Studio. When i exposed cube in answers, months were sorted in alphabetical order. So i used RANK function with evaluate to arrange month members in proper order. But if i use RANK function it pulls all missing records and it is effecting performance.
Then i created Time dimension(dimension loading) in essbase from FLAT file,initially it was coming in proper order. But after some time again it sorted in alphabetical order!!!
I have seen in internate few people saying they didn't face this problem. I

Hi user10300020,
That's a fairly common problem with months that happens regardless of database source.
In the logical layer of OBIEE you can specify the sort order on the month name column. Just double click on the month name column and look for the option to set sort order based on a different column. I typically sort the month name based on the month number.
Give that a shot and tell me if it works.

Problem with time series functions against Essbase

Hello all,
I'm having problems with displaying correct results when using AGO function in OBIEE. I'm using Essbase 9.3.1 and OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1. Logical column named MAGO1 is created in repository like this: IFNULL( AGO("Measure01", Time.Month, 1), 0). In Answers when I use columns Measure01,MAGO1,Time.Month with filter just on Time.Month column results are OK. When I put another filter, for example Dim1.Gen2,Dim1, MAGO1 returns zero as a result. But when I put Dim1.Gen2,Dim1 also as a column and as a filter results are OK. I don't want to have Dim1.Gen2,Dim1 as a column but just in a filter. Also hiding column is not an option. I want to have grouped results and not multiple rows for one month if I remove filter Dim1.Gen2,Dim1. Filter is selected on prompt in dashboard and can be some value from Dim1.Gen2,Dim1 or All Choices. Reason for this is that I'm using this answers report as a data source for BI Publisher so additional formatting on answers report isn't helpful.
I am suspecting that something is wrong with hierarchy it time dimension or other dimensions. Or maybe MDX is not generated right ? If you need more details regarding my repository or configuration please feel free to ask. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am using BI Publisher and Answers report as data source. Making changes like hiding column or displaying results as pivot table won't help in this case.
Anyway I did discover something else. When I put in report logical columns with ago function they return correct results. But when I add additional logical column with todate function all logical columns with ago and todate function return zero as a result. Also this happens only when result is more than one row. If you have only one row, for example grand total level of dimension, than result is OK, but if you have more rows on a lower level than zero values appear.
Some columns that are used in filter do not appear as columns in report. This is the main problem. If I put all columns that are filtered in report than the result is OK. But I don't want to do this because I want to have option to select values on dashboard prompt on different levels.

Hi Nayadeth,
It looks like the account for which you are getting the value like this is a balance sheet account. The balance sheet accounts will have the ACCTYPE property as AST or LEQ. Both these type of accounts have this behavior. The BS always represent year to date figures. That's the reason, in the TOTAL, you are getting the value of DEC. In Q1 you will be able to see the value of MAR. If you change the ACCTYPE to INC or EXP, then the TOTAL will have the sum of all the months.
