Problem with UI5 ESS URL with Role Upload in HR Renewal 2.0

Hi Experts,
We are in the process of implementing the HR Renewal 2.0 FP1.
I have made the custom copy of the Standard PFCG ESS role SAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_XX_UI5_1 into ZSAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_XX_UI5_1.
I was able to upload this role in to SAP Portal by selecting the default system object created to point to our ECC system and assigned the ESS role to the end user.
Now the problem is with the URL which needs to points to the UI5 ESS Landing page in the ECC system. Instead the URL path now is,
http://portalhost:50000/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_suite_pb/main.html?page=HR_SELFSERVICES.
I have maintained the system object name in the Generic Content property category of iView and still it picks up the portal URL.
The relative path should be appended with the ECC host details instead of portal host details.
Please help me to resolve the issue.
Thanks,
Urmi

Hi Sharadha,
Run the role from backend and make sure its has correct expected url, then from portal we can address it easily.
Once you copy and make Zrole, you have to modify and it should point it to the correct catalog.
In case if you still face issue, pls open a new  thread and past ur screen shots and details, so that we can suggest appropriate.

  • Is there a problem with ending a URL with somefile.swf?

    I have a swf button that launches a new window (ex: http://domain.com/index.html) with the javascript:new.window method. I am finding that sometimes (1 or 2 times out of every 5 clicks) the window is nothing but blank white. I have found, by mistake, that if the javascript:new.window launches directly to (http://domain.com/somefile.swf) then it works everytime.
    I think the problem with the blank browser window might be related to slower Internet connections. I can't seem to find anyone else with the blank browser window issue, so I'm wondering what side effects or problems might arise by using the swf as that url instead of an html file that runs the swf.
    Flash player detection?
    Could a browser decide to download the file (for saving) instead or running it?

    I can't quite say what the issue with your swf not loading in the html is. It almost sounds more like an issue of the swf not loading.
    If the user has Flash Player installed on their machine (which they should if they are getting your original button) then you probably don't have to worry about the browser trying to download the swf - its probably not going to.
    What you might want to be more concerned about is window resizing.  If the user can resize the window from the specified size in your js (if you have any) than Flash Player will resize. If the user extends the window beyond the height OR the width, then anything on stage but out side of the fla stage bounds will be visible. You can constrain the size in your js, and set resize = no.
    But mainly, youre perfectly fine linking directly to the swf if that is all you need.

  • Image.source problem when using an URL with params

    Hello everbody,
    I want to dynamically load images into a dataGrid using the
    following item renderer:
    <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Image" dataField=""
    width="100">
    <mx:itemRenderer>
    <mx:Component>
    <mx:Image width="100" height="75" source="{'
    http://myserver:8080/servlets/getImage?id='+data.@id+'&width=100&height=75&format=image/pn g'}"/>
    </mx:Component>
    </mx:itemRenderer>
    </mx:DataGridColumn>
    This source won't compile, the error message is 'The
    reference to entity "width" must end with the ';' delimter.
    Ok what's going on here. Seems AS3 not liking my URL params,
    it's not that the width url parameter is a general widget property,
    when i rename the params to "xywhatever" i have the same result.
    When i remove the "&...." from the URL the code compiles.
    (Unfortunately my servlet isn't working without the params..).
    Anyone has an idea what i can do here?
    Thanks in advance!

    I am having difficulties connecting to the MS Active Directory from weblogic 10.3.2. Can you please post your connection info? I am getting data 525 v1772 error. I can't see the users.
    Note: My friend Koksal Aci changed a user parameter, we are not sure if it is the main reason we couldn't connect, but after we have written the first domain's name in capital + "\" + user name, we were successful in connection to Microsoft AD, and getting the user and group names.

    I set a breakpoint on RFC HRXSS_PER_READ_P0002_ES. It only stops on the breakpoint when we are in the view option.
    When I had the ESS inside the SAP 6.00 it was running correctly, but now that I uploaded the version to 6.04 (EHP4) where I had to include the EMPLOYEE_PERSDATA_ES_SERVICE_13 services along other services(PERSDATA).
    The only service I had to include where Im finding problems is EMPLOYEE_PERSDATA_ES_SERVICE_13.
    Its showed in the Error I put above, that it is trying to find u201CSubtypeu201D.
    In the SAP 6.00 version I  was setting the subtype option in the "specify use case and active subtypes" option but now I donu2019t find this option. Only a new option appears called "Determine Active Subtypes and Make Settings".
    I hope you could help me to solve this problem, thanks.

  • "there was a problem connecting to the server. URLS with the type 'file' are not supported"

    i have a new macbook pro 13" and every 6 minutes or so it pops up a window that says "there was a problem connecting to the server. URLS with the type 'file' are not supported". it never seems to cause any problems but is supremely annoying. how can i make this come to an end?

    I tried someone's solution of taking another external disc and plugging it in, then when it showed up and time machine asked if I wanted to use it or that someone might be trying to trick me, I chose not use it.  Then I  shut down my computer, plugged in the original Lacie, and rebooted the computer and all seems to work fine now-- the Lacie appears on my desktop and all seeems to be in working order. Who knows why or anything else,- as weird as it gets- but for now things seemed fixed--- maybe others can try this too-- it worked for me so far.

    Posting "Check the 'More like this'" area and not simply providing the answer is a great way to make these groups worthless.
    You're ignoring context.  On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers.  The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies.  Then came Lion.  The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest.  (2) When applicable, give a brief answer such as the one that you found objectionable.  (3) Give up all the other normal activities of life and spend full time trying to answer questions here.
    People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems.  I never posted the suggestion of "Check the 'More like this' area" without verifying that the help that the poster needed could be found there.  Even doing that, what I posted saved me time that I could use to help someone else.
    The people helping here are all volunteers.  None of them is being paid for the time they spend here.  They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities.  It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do.

    I'm being shown an error pop-up message periodically saying "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type 'file:' are not supported." I have a brand new MacBook Pro, and at no time am I actually having trouble connecting to the server, but this message continues to pop-up several times a day at random intervals. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is my computer just having a glitch? Other than that, and a mildly sticking caps lock button, it's working perfectly.
    Thank you!

    Alright it didn't solve it. Any other suggestions?
    I haven't suggested a solution yet. I want to know whether you still get the messages while Time Machine is disabled. Do you? If so, try any or all of the solutions proposed in this thread:

    Actually, in my case, turning off Time Machine didn't work. I had the same problem. We definitely traced it to Time Machine. The "Fix" was this: plugged in and designated different external HD as Backup volume. Then unplugged it and plugged in the original disc (after testing in in a different machine) and now the computer recognized it and error message stopped popping up. The Apple tech was as puzzled as I as to why this worked, but perhaps, forcing the machine to re-recognize it (or maybe even, gettting it recognized by a different machine first) somehow worked some magic.
