Problem with tv@nywhere plus on windows 8

i have a problem with tv@anywhere plus on windows 8. i can setup the pvr plus app completely but when i open that and click on "watch and record dtv program" icon, i will see an error that says: "invalid class string!"
i think this problem should be for its driver because i'm using windows 8 64bit and the driver is for windows 7, i couldn't find an appropriate driver for windows 8 on MSI driver downloads, as matter of fact it didn't exist.
so what should i do for my problem?

I'm afraid TV@nywhere Plus is a bit outdated for Win8. There is no update so far since 2010. Could be MSI won't add Win8 support if it would be anyway possible.

Problems with webcam center

I bought webcam instant yesterday,i downloaded the newest drivers for it...
But it doesn't work.
Everytime i start webcam center the camera turns off...
I tried it with msn messenger...but it worked perfectly...
HELP!!!!

Problem with webcam capture

Dear all,
Using the Peter Parente's "webcam capture" library (Webcam Continuous Capture.vi), I faced some problems. In fact instead of showing for example one 320*240 picture it displayed some smaller pictures with some other parts of the picture indicator left blank(black).
What's the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I did a search for this library and it looks like it was developed some time ago. The FAQ on the download page seems to indicate that you need to make sure that your acquisition parameters in Windows and LabVIEW need to match in order for this to work properly. There was also a data type change between Vision 6.1 and 7.0 so that could be related, but it sounds more likely it is something else.
If your camera is DirectShow compatible and you have Vision, you can try IMAQ for USB. This, like Peter Parente's Library, is not actively being developed or supported by National Instruments Applications Engineers, but you may have some more luck, assuming you are using more recent versions of LabVIEW and Vision.
If there is a problem with a specific VI, please try to narrow down where the problem is occurring. You may be able to post an image that might indicate how the library is failing.

Hi i'm having problems with my McAfee NetProtect Plus thing it seems to keep turning off the Virus protection it has done it most than once in a day i have no clue what it causing it and would love some help to find out.

ok run the removal process again then use housecall to do a full scan of your pc, after it has finished (might take several hours depending on the size of the hard drive fitted) if it finds anything clean it, and then try getting mcafee installed again, theres a chance that your registry corrupted an entry and the removal tool didnt notice it, however the trend micro housecall should notice it and fix the error,
this is an online av tool that will detect anythign odd and tell you about it, sometimes odd things can mess up your system but if you cant run the online av program after disabling the windows firewall then it would indicate that something has infected your pc or changed various settings so your unable to get av to work, now this can be something benign and possibly get fixed by booting into safe mode (reboot the pc and keep f8 held down untill the boot options screen appears) enter the admin password (default is blank password) and use system restore to roll back to a date before the problem occured.

Some apps have sound, others no.

When you say that the webcam isn't detected, is that by the Webcam software, or by the Windows Device Manager? Did the webcam ever work?
Check out Webcam Troubleshooting (Windows 8), specifically look at the section called Webcam is not listed in Device Manager, and follow the steps you see there. Post back to this thread the results and we can go from there if you are still having problems.

try to press Fn-escape, it turns your webcam on or off..
I payed a professional to "fix" my webcam.. first payed him quite a lot, and then he told me that..
if it doesn't work, look at your settings in the program "youcam", it might be a problem there

Problems with webcamming...

The camera itself works, I can open the program, take pictures and make videos, but when I try to use it with MSN or AIM messengers it gives me an error saying that there is no webcamera detected. It is not just this one either, I've tried another and I have the same problems. Also the actual image is oddly distorted. Bars of red, blue, and white, flicker on the screen at random. Any ideas as to what my problem is?

approx every 30 seconds the browser freezes and 'saving' appears in the top bar of icloud mail. The cursor starts spinning and then after about 8 secs I can start typing again. I also fiund that about 5-6 times a day my icloud browser tab showing mail just close and return to the main icloud menu page showing icons for mail, calender, notes etc

Problem with zen-nano-plus!! please help

i have the zen-nano-plus 52mb. and i try to update the firmware with latest version but i don't delete the music files in it.
i have started the instalation and the program asked me to delete the files on zen. (i didn't care keeping the files, so i continue the instalation)
when the program began to delete the files, after in few seconds i received an error messege from windowsoperating system reported error. the limit time on semaphore it's over.) now i have an 0.00.00 firmware version and i can't use the zen-nano because it's not starting. i have tried with the recovery tool but same situation it happend again. please help me if anybody knows something!!!!

Go to Creative.com and click the Support link. Look for the firmware driver for your Zen Nano and follow the directions. I had to do this to fix my Zen Nano Plus, because it had the exact same problem that yours had.

Windows 8 has problems with webcams?

Whenever I launch Flash in any browser I can not get webcam to work! It won't work in conjunction with the mic is the problem I think. The webcam and mic work fine on their own. However Flash either crashes or refuses to show webcam depending on browser.

1) Could you please share more information about the avtivation with us? How did you activate your PC? which method? What is the detailed error message prompted?
Here's an solution for KMS activation (it's for Windows 7, but the solution is similiar in Windows 8.1. time synchronize)

2) Regarding to the account, I suggest you check the account properties under "AD users and computers", check what group the account belongs to. or run whoami command with the /groups option to find more information about the user

At the end of your post, you mentioned the command prompt, may I know what is the issue with command prompt? Please check if there're some GPO applied which restrict some user operations.

Problem with opening discoverer plus by URL

Hi Gurus,
I am opening the discoverer plus worksheet using a URL from another web page to skip the connections page. Heres the hyperlink, I am using for the same
http://burs52:7779/discoverer/plus?&_plus=true&nlsl=en-us&cn=cf_a122&lookandfeelname=system&workbooksource=Database
This would directly bring the 'Open workbook from Database' page with list of workbooks for the particular connection, but the problem is that every time it opens the discoverer plus it would automatically open the connection page(http://burs52:7779/discoverer/plus?) in the parent window(webpage with the hyperlink). This would confuse the end user.
Is it possible to avoid this? i.e keep the parent page unchaged

What version of Discoverer are you running? I'm assuming 10.1.2 but I would look at the 2 URL parameters

From the Oracle Documentation:
When using popup in conjunction with framedisplaystyle=, the possible combinations are:
pluspopup=true and framedisplaystyle=embedded launches Discoverer Plus in a new pop-up browser window that contains the Plus applet embedded in it.
pluspopup=true and framedisplaystyle=separate opens a new pop-up browser window and launches Discoverer Plus in a new applet window.
This combination launches three windows: the original browser window (i.e. Discoverer Connections page), the new browser window containing the Discoverer image, and the JFrame window containing the Discoverer Plus applet.
pluspopup=false and framedisplaystyle=embedded launches Discoverer Plus in the current browser window.
See if those help you out, if not let me know and we can dig into this further
