Problems accessing BW Report from Portal

Hello friends,
I have a problem. I am trying to create a link in portal that should call a BW Report. To do this we should require the query string which I have. The problem is this report in turn is calling a separate transaction code from a different back end system. When the user tries to execute the report he is getting the following error code
ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-I:E-i:wwbsap06_DEV1_22-v:0-s:403-r:Forbidden
Can anyone tell me how this can be achieved?
Points guaranteed.
Thank You
Avik

You can use SAP Web dispatcher for exposing the BW web reports to extranet. The SAP Web dispatcher is located between the Web client (browser) and your SAP system that is running the Web application.

  • Portal Runtime Error while accessing BW reports through portal

    Hi,
    We are facing portal runtime error(An exception occurred while processing your request. Please send the exception id to your portal administrator) while accessing BI reports through portal frequently.
    We are unable to trace the error in the 'default trace' log file and although refreshing the cache solves this issue, it is difficult to explain this to every user individually.
    After many such errors, We found one log entry, which we are now not yet sure if it is relevant. The error states:

  • System time out when saving report from portal

    Hi,
    We have a  problem where the report output either gets time out or gives an output after 30 minutes if we try to save a report from portal in the form of excel.( report is run on the web)
    Generally the query output has not more then 32k records.
    Is it the number of records in the portal output which is the cause of the issue??
    This is not the issue with the reports with leess number of records.
    Can we do something to improve the performance here??
    Thanks
    Ajeet

    Try creating aggrates on the cube. this may change the performance.
    also you can change the query execution time.
    but better check for some performance tuning by using aggrates.
    check below suggestions also:

  • Print BW Report from Portal 6.0

    Hi,
    I have a BW report iView and I would like to print the BW report from Portal. I don't see an option to print directly from Portal.
    Is it the only way to print is "export to Excel and print it from there" ?
    We are on EP6 and BW 3.5.
    Thanks for your answers.
    Regards,
    Megha.

    Hi Megha Bokam,
    I'm not a BW person but as far as I remember there is an HTML section when creating BW reports.
    Try to put:
    <a href="javascript:print();">Print Report</a>
    in tis HTML section.

  • I have a new Macbook pro and need to run some Windows software, it appears "Parallel" should work well from what I've have read. Will I have any issues or problems accessing and printing from various printers on my Windows 7 network within Parallel?

    I have a new Macbook pro and need to run some Windows software, it appears "Parallel" should work well from what I've have read. Will I have any issues or problems accessing and printing from various printers on my Windows 7 network within Parallel? Is Parallel in fact the best way to go?

    First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
    There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
    Reset the System Management Controller.
    If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
    If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
    Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
    Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
    If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
    Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
    Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
    Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
    Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.

  • Run Oracle Projects Report from Portal

    Is there a way to run one of the canned Oracle Projects reports from Portal? Are these Oracle Projects reports URL addressable? If so please tell me where I can find some documentation on how to do this?

  • BW Reporting from Portal on utilizing Manager's Desktop

    Hi BW People,
    I needs an help from you.
    I posted this thread on Forum Portal side
    /thread/540267 [original link is broken]
    The question is,
    on customizing Manager's Destop
    in table <b>T77MWBBWS</b>, in the field BW Rep.Templ.ID
    is not possible utilize standard template QGL_STANDARD_TEMPLATE but it needs custom Templete.
    I'm now able to start BW report from portal but
    1) In custom Templete i insert a Query, is not possible to transport this. I have to create this custom templete directly in Production system?
    2) Before to start BW report, as standard in Manager's Desktop is, i have to select on Employee number, manager's subordinate, but on calling BW report I have one selections screen and not in the field Employee of the report the number selected.
    I have this possibility, I have at least the possibility to Skip the screen regarding Employee number selection?
    Thanks in advance for answer

  • Problem calling a report from a form

    Hello,
    i thought about 5 hours what causes this. but i didn't found a solution..
    [http://img188.imageshack.us/i/67205607.jpg/]
    in when-button-pressed i have:
    DECLARE
    report_id REPORT_OBJECT;
    report_job_id VARCHAR2(200);
    rep_status VARCHAR2(200);
    JOB_NUMBER number;
    server_name VARCHAR2(200) := 'roger';
    BEGIN
    /* Check to see if forms application is WEB deployed */
    IF get_application_property(user_interface) = 'WEB' THEN
         report_id:= FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('report104');
         /* Set Report parameters given WEB deployment */
         SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_SERVER , server_name);
         SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);
         /* DESFORMAT could be HTML, HTMLCSS or PDF here*/
         SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'PDF');
         /* Run the report */
         report_job_id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id);
         /* Check the report status */
         rep_status:=REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(report_job_id);
         WHILE rep_status IN ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
         LOOP
         rep_status := report_object_status(report_job_id);
         END LOOP;
         IF rep_status='FINISHED' THEN
         message('REPORT WAS CORRECTLY RUN');
         /* Display the report output in the client browser */
         JOB_NUMBER := length(server_name) + 2;
         WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ('/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||substr(report_job_id,JOB_NUMBER)||'?server=' || server_name ||'&param_cls='||to_number(:control.lst_clase));
         /* If report has failed display message to user */
         ELSE

         /* Run the report */
         report_job_id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id);
    END IF;
    END;report104 is the name of the repord added in the Reports node (in Forms).
    in the left window from the image, i checked for the value of parameter param_cls, and it's ok (16).
    when i run the report from the Reports, i see all the repors (that table), but when i run from forms, i got just the headers of the table, the rest is invisible. i don't know why happens this..
    :control.lst_clase returns a char, so i convert that char to a number, and that's the parameter passed from Forms.
    Please help me..
    edit: i saw in Reports that there are two buttons: Run Web Layout and Run Paper Layout. from the Forms, i wanna run the web layout
    Thanks

  • PDF Reports from Portal

    My goal: PDF report for print-out, launched from Portal, that displays text and image (.jpeg, .gif, .bmp, etc.) data pulled from the database. Currently, users retrieve this data right from the portal via JSP portlets. This works great. We'd like to get a good-looking report containing this data for inclusion in electronic documents and hard copy files and PDF seems a good way to go. Right now, my idea is to create the report from SQL query in Report Builder creading a .rdf file and somehow launch this from the Portal allowing users to pass selection parameters.
    Questions:
    1. What's best way to launch a .rdf report (PDF output) from Portal?
    2. What are the tricks of pulling in and displaying blob data (from Portal30 schema) in a .rdf report with PDF output?
    Thanks!

    Take a look at the Portal - Reports integration documentation. It will tell you how to deploy Oracle Reports on the Portal.
    As far as displaying images, Report Builder Online Help -> search on word image ->selecting image from the database.
