Problems after Skype New Update (6.16.0.105)
My Skype and my husband's Skype just recently updated. Our current version is 6.16.0.105. After the updates, we are having problems with the video camera. Whenever there is problem with the call and Skype would try to reconnect the call, the video icon is greyed out so we cannot open the camera anymore unless we disconnect the call and call back. I attached an image of how it looks like.

We use Skype 6.1 because later versions of Skype have abandoned our Labtec cameras. However, my wife's sister uses the latest version of Skype. Since about 21 May 2014, the sister has been unable to call my wife on Skype. Skype 6.1 says 'Missed call' and we can see the network traffic during the call attempt but Skype 6.1 seems unable to respond to Skype 6.16. This looks like the latest version of Skype is using Skype protocols which are not recognised by Skype 6.1. Nothing else has changed I guess.
Does this make sense? Is it possible?
On the other hand, Skype 6.1 can call Skype 6.16.
The Skype help facility is not friendly to attempts to describe complex problems. It is certainly beyond my abilities to do so.

After the new update of the latest iOS, I noticed a yellowish color on the sides of my iPhone 5 screen (Top,Down,Left,Right). Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank You.
It is highly unlikely that any iOS update could cause this.
Try a restore as new, if the problem persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation. -
I have used Pages 09 and Keynote without any major problems until this new update. I have read many of the fixes but have a problem. When you get Pages 09 and Keynote back, Apples continues to want to update the 09 system. So it stays updated. I have had to turn off my auto updating that was nice but I'll do it one at a time in order to keep the Pages 09 and Keynote. When something works don't mess with it. Any fixes out there?
I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on.
I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.

Wifi problem after.4.3 update on xperia z
Hi all,
After updating my Xperia Z (C6603) to build number 10.4.1.B.0.101 I've been having connection issues with every Wi-Fi network.
I've checked the forum but I only found problems about people having Wi-Fi issues with their smartwatch, I do not own a smart watch this is just a general networking issues.
Here's the problem in detail:
When having no Wi-Fi switched on while booting the phone the phone will start without any issues, I will receive my 3G/4G signal and I can browse, e-mail, everything.
Once I switch on Wi-Fi it will start connecting to previously stored Wi-Fi access points but will not connect. Eventually it says that there was a problem with connecting, even though this will take several minutes.
I can go into the Wi-Fi settings, select a different Wi-Fi network (if it is in range) and press connect, however the settings app will freeze at that point and eventually I'll get a notification that the settings app has stopped working.
I have found a "work-around": I switch the Wi-Fi to on, power off the phone and power on again. Now the Wi-Fi connection immediately powers on without an issue once the phone has completely booted, it also will connect to the default Wi-Fi connection that is in range. A different issue appears however once I move out of Wi-Fi range, it will no longer pick up my 3G/4G signal. It is also impossible to switch off Wi-Fi or switch Wi-Fi network connections without rebooting the phone.
As I said before this happened to me after updating to version 10.4.1.B.0.101 after having it received through OTA update. I do not have root access on my phone either so this can't be it.
Is there anyone experiencing the same issues? Is this somehow related to the issues people are experiencing with their smart watch connections (as seen in this topic: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Software-Updates/wifi-problem-after-4-3-update-on-xperia-z/td-p/490591...
If there's anyone who is experiencing the same issues, or has found a fix for this I'd gladly hear from you.

Unfortunately, iOS 7 is too hard to push for the iPhone 4 and therefore has a lot of effects turned off to try to get it to run as smoothly as possible.
However, it becomes better and better with each update coming but it's hard to do anything about the hardware on an already released phones.
If you still have trouble or think they are too hard. My tip is, if so, to restore your iPhone 4 and make a clean setup with no iCloud backup. But all your photos in a photostream so you can access it later. -

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

After the new update my ipad4 will not do a full recharge even when turned off overnight and the battery goes flat it 2 hours it is driving me crazy as I had to stop all apps but still not helping but my iPhone 5 is great no troubles at all HELP
Do you place the ipod in the dock during the night? I did this once and the other day the battery was almost empty because it kept on playing after it rested in the dock.

After the new update the FFox is now 11.0. But it's really SLOW always CRASHES and most of the time is NOT RESPONDING. I have to go to CHROME it is working perfectly.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].

it always switches itself on after i update. it just did again, this time for 7.1.2.. i t also will switch on after a restore.
i never use bluetooth and make sure it's not on for any other reason.

All of my texts are now being sent through my email after the new update. How do I change this back to just sending with my phone number?
Try settings -- messages -- send & recieve and see if your email and phone number are in there and if there is only a check mark next to your email address. If so just check off your phone number and try that.

Problems with zen x-fi after downloading new update or after plugging it into my hi
hiya a couple of days ago i downloaded the new update for my zen x-fi 32gb, on the same day i plugged the zen into my hi-fi for the st time
ever since then the volume has been quieter and my equalizers havent been working
when i start the player up and use the ear-phones its really quiet but i turn the speaker on and off again and it sounds a little bit louder but not as loud as it used to be
i used to have the volume up to 6-8 and now its on 22-24, but it sounds like the same volume
i try to change the equalizers but it sounds no different
is there anything i can do? or is there anyway of telling wheather its the hi-fi or the update? thanks alotHi again.
After much fiddling with firmware and the player I have re-upgraded the firmware to the newest 08 version (it was already loaded anyway). I have also turned off all the 'extras' like the X-Fi and crystalliser and this has solved the crashing. I tested the playback the other day without these 'extras' and using the hold switch to power down the screen... and battery life was excellent - around 26 hours!
Anyway, the problem I have now is the battery is dying when the unit is turned off because it has gone into this standby mode i keep reading about. I have researched on this forum and Anything but ipod forum but i can't find a definiti've answer on how to solve this problem.
Can someone confirm which version of firmware I should downgrade to Or if there are any tricks to save my battery when i'm not using the player?

Auto fit-width of form on open
