Hi,
You have an incompatible version of SpeedDownload installed.
Go to http://yazsoft.com/download.html and then right-click (or control-click) on the installer file and select "Download Linked File" to download it.
When the installer has downloaded, quit Safari and run it and select either to upgrade or uninstall it.

Problems downloading Large dmg s ( like Bootcam)

Recently I've noticed that I can't download large files like, an update of Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update (combo) and passing like 3 or 4 min since the beginning of the download it crashes telling me that it can't resolve the server.Then it happened with a dmg of Bootcamp, started downloading well, then past 3 or 4 min it crashed.
Do anyone knows what is the problem?

My router is an Aolynk DR814 and is distributing network for the two computers.
basically when I start downloading large files it comes down in a mater of minutes. i've talked with the ISP guys and they told me that everything was fine with the connection and that they can't help with this.
I'm translating the error so it's something like this:
"An network connection error occurred: exceeded time (-1001). Make sure that you're connected to internet and try again."

Problem downloading .dmg files (Flash, Chrome, Firefox). Once I hit the download option Safari screen goes blank, actually grey and nothing downloads.

Back up all data, then uninstall "Speed Download" according to the developer's instructions.

I have tried downloading multiple .dmg's from the source website, no avail.

Where are you downloading the dmg files from? Try using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome to access and download them.

I was told I had to upgrade Firefox to 4.0, downloaded the dmg, launched it and now Firefox will not open at all.

If you right-click on your Photoshope.exe, select Properties, there should be a Compatibility tab. There you can select Windows XP, Windows 2000, Winows 98 or 95. One of these should allow you to open Photoshop 6, unless you mean CS6.

Download lion dmg

I bougth a Lion copy about a year ago. Now I want to do a clean install on my Mac so I've to download the dmg of Lion from App store. Anyway from App Store I can't no more find my Lion purchased copy. Any idea to solve this problem?

You don't need to download Lion from the App Store because you can do a clean install starting from Recovery HD, holding Command and R keys while your Mac is starting > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 After starting in Recovery, erase Macintosh HD in Disk Utility, close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X.
However, it's better to make a bootable copy of your Lion installer onto a DVD or USB drive so you won't have to redownload Lion every time you want to reinstall it.
If you don't see Lion listed in purchases, check if it's hidden, and if so, unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4928 Do this before reinstalling OS X Lion from Recovery. After unhiding, go to Purchases and you will be able to download Lion. Then, use Lion Diskmaker to create a bootable DVD or USB drive with Lion > http://liondiskmaker.com

Problems downloading SDK 3.0?

Is anyone else having any problems downloading the new SDK? Every time I download it, it stops at 2.0 GB instead of the 2.08 GB that the download is supposed to be. The dmg is not recognized because it is not done. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this?

Good to know I'm not alone in this. Mine is freezing at 1.1 kB and I've tried restarting several times. When I accidentally clicked to download the Snow Leopard version, it went no problem. These are both while using the latest version of Safari along with a DSL internet connection.

Problem installing PhotoshopElements_12_WWEFDJ.dmg

Photoshop Elements Experts,
After encountering problem installing Photoshop Elements 12 from the CD onto Windows 8.1 (it wanted DirectPlay, which has been depricated from Win 8.1), I posted the problem. Sandeep Singh responded and told me to try installing from a download. That did not work because the file I downloaded, PhotoshopElements_12_WWEFDJ.dmg could not be opened. Appaerntly, I need another app to open the .dmg file. I looked for such an app, but have thus far been able to achieve success. Please help.

the dmg file is for a Mac. For windows there are two files -- exe and 7z. After they are downloaded start the exe file

Problems downloading flash player (Mac)

I am having problems downloading the newest version of adobe flash player on my mac. I am using Safari and did the usual procedure (downloading the .dmg file, launching it, password... etc.) and the download gets stuck at 25% for hours. I tried to restart the computer, erase the file and re download the .dmg, doesn't seem to work out...

Problems downloading photos from iPhoto to iPod 5G classic

Until recently I had no problems downloading my photo library to my iPod (~250 photos). However, the last couple of groups of photos I've gotten I cannot transfer. I get an error message that reads "The iPod cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to." My last 3 rolls do not transfer to the iPod, although all the other photos do as well as all songs, movies, calendars, etc. Everything else is OK just the last 3 photo rolls. 2 of the 3 problem rolls were gathered from emails, but so were others that load fine. The last roll was downloaded from the BART website and will not transfer.
Anybody know what's up with this?

Before I download iphoto library manager, I just wanted to report an interesting experiment that I tried last night that may point in a different direction:
I keep my iphoto library on a second internal HD, so I thought I would just try making a complete copy of my iphoto library onto my desktop. Once I did this, I started up iPhoto with alt and choose the desktop version of the library and all worked perfectly, my iphoto albums showed instantly in my photo tab in itunes when I selected to sync with iphoto.
My next move was to rename my old library and then copy my desktop version into the folder where the old library is. Once I did this the problem was back again.
I have no reason to believe that it is the second disc that is causing the problem, as that is where I have always kept my itunes and iphoto libraries and they have worked without problem.
(As I am writing this, it dawned upon me that I missed one important test, I should have tried the old library after I had renamed it, but stil in the same place.)
I am now suspecting that the problem may be linked to an external drive that I addded to the system at Christmas. This was a WD My Book which I use for backup, the link being that I use the software that came with it to do autobackups that includes my iphoto library folder. I am wondering if this software does something to the folder.
Thoughts welcome.

I had this same error and managed to get around it by running the .msi file that the CC app downloaded to a temp folder on my own. Steps were:
1. Find the location Adobe_Lightroom_X64.msi (in a a temp folder)
2. Run it and install (serial number was already pre-filled out)
3. Restart the CC desktop app
It then appeared as installed under ‘Your Apps’ and works as usual.

iTunes Support wasn't of any use to me.
I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb. This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well. This might be the common thread.

Hello everyone,
When I try to download the latest episode of my podcast feed, I see an exclamation mark next to the episode. When I click on the exclamation mark for more information, I see the following error message:
"There was a problem downloading <podcast_episode>. An unknown error occurred (-50). Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
I was hoping that somebody might take a look at my feed and review the code for any potential problems. It can be found here:

Important notes:
1. This is not XML code. It is an XML generator created in PHP.
2. This feed used to work fine in iTunes. I had many episodes already downloaded.
3. I began noticing the problem after upgrading to iTunes version 7 and beyond.
4. I know at least 3 other people that experienced the same problem with my feed after upgrading.
5. Upgrading to newer service packs (7.0.2 for example) has not solved the problem.
6. I ran my feed through an RSS validator. It spotted 2 errors: (1) the width of the podcast image and (2) the syntax of the <source> tag. I made corrections but they did not solve the problem. I changed them back after that.

After upgrading to Itunes 11 it refused to play movies I had purchased through the Itunes store, even though I could see the files were there on my hard drive, and the movie covers were visible in Itunes. I discovered that the only way to get them playing was to redownload them from the Icloud. If this wasn't bad enough (I have over 200GB of movies) I am getting the following error on particular files.

I hope somone can help me with both problems because whilst my ISP might like to see me download 200MB of data (I pay extra when I go over 20GB in a month), I would not. Also the error problem would be usefull to correct because I would hate to lose any of my Itunes purchases. I should probably mention that I am using Windows 8 64 bit.

This can happen when the connection timeout occurs while downloading purchased content from the iTunes Store. Certain types of software may also affect the way a computer sends and receives information from the internet. Here are a few examples of these types of software:
