Problems syncing photos between my apple devices

My photos aren't syncing with my Ipad mini. I am using iOS 8.1 and have turned on Photo streaming on iCloud on all my apple devices. PLEASE HELP!

I Assume that you are signed into the  same Apple ID and iCloud account on all of your devices, Correct? Only photos that you take after you turn on Photo Stream sync across devices. Photos that were already on the device will not sync.
Try toggling Photo Stream off and on again. That will delete all photo stream photos from your devices, so save them to the camera roll first or import them to your computer for safe storage.

  • How share or sync photos between two Apple computers

I have hundreds of different photos in iPhoto on my iMac versus on my MacBook Air. How can I sync these photos into one large file?

What do you mean by "Sync".
The general term means when two Libraries (A and B) are compared and files in Library A are copied to Library B, while files in Library B are also copied to Library A so that both Libraries are identical.
This is bi-directional copying and you cannot do this automatically with iPhoto. No Syncing software is capable of parsing the iPhoto Library in this manner. One or both of your Libraries will be damaged if you try this.
You can have uni-directional copying - files in Library A are copied to Library B - this is essentially backing up. Obviously you can also copy from Library B to Library A.
The nearest you can get to syncing is to use iPhoto Library Manager to move files/Albums/Events plus associated metadata between Libraries. This process cannot be automated.

  • TS3992 Can i use iCloud to sync data between my Apple devices?

I have a MacBook Pro and an iMac that I would like to sync my data on, and was wondering what the best way to do that is?  The data that I am trying to sync is on my desktop, and a subfolder within my Documents folder.
    Thanks
    Matt

iCloud syncs only specific types of data - Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and iWork and TextEdit documents. It doesn't sync files in general.
There are a number of third-party solutions for this. The two most popular are Dropbox and SugarSync. I think for you SugarSync is the best bet: Dropbox limits you to a specific Dropbox folder on each machine, but SugarSync allows you to nominate any folder to sync.
    More details here:
    http://rfwilmut.net/missing3
(note that some of the solutions there are online backup only, not syncing: the two I've mentioned, of which more details are given, are your best bet).

  • Problem syncing photos with Apple TV and iPod

Ever since I connected my Apple TV I have had problems syncing photos with both my iPod and my Apple TV.
The Apple TV gives me an error (no desciption) when I try to sync photos. The iPod gives me an error 39.
iPhotos is working fine. I rebuilt the library using the rebuild library feature and this has not fixed the problem.
I also rebuilt my iTunes library without success in fixing the problem.
How does it sync? Is there some kind of syncing file I need to delete that may be corrupt?
Does anyone have any ideas about what I could try?

    Just a suggestion,

  • Organising/Syncing photos between iPad & folder on Mac mini

    Hi folks.
Hoping somebody out there can help, though judging by the sheer volume of complaints I've seen here with similar problems, I'm not too hopeful...
Trying to keeping my problem simple & to the point here:
    1) I regularly import photos (which I have painstakingly re-named) from a designated sync folder on my Mac mini, via iTunes
    2) No matter what I've re-named my photos, they are obviously not organised by name when viewed in the 'Photos' app on my iPad3. From what I have read, apparently they are displayed by modified date... (VERY helpful Apple!!! Not).
    3) Following some tips here, I purchased 'Photo Manager Pro'. However, when I import the photos from an album on my iPad, into 'Photo Manager Pro', all the file names are different, so using its extra organising options is hopeless, as my original filenames are gone! Now, are my photos being renamed from the initial sync between iPad and Mac mini (via iTunes), or between the import between iPads 'Photos' app and 'Photo Manager Pro'???
    So my question(s) are:
    A) When you sync photos between a chosen folders on a Mac, and the iPad (via iTunes), are the files renamed when transferred to the iPad? If they are, is there a way to retain the original names?
    B) Why are the filenames shown within 'Photo Manager Pro' different to the ones I named/imported? (i.e. should say 2013_06_12.JPG, but instead will show, IMG145.JPG for example). Is this a fault of Photo Manager Pro, or the initial Mac/iPad photo sync process?
    C) Is there any way I can EASILY do something as simple as wanting to import photos into iPad, WITHOUT have to use iPhoto to organise things so they at least display in the correct order? (Sorry Apple fans, I do NOT like iPhoto, and want to keep it out of my work-flow...)
ANY help or advice would be truly appreciated, as I'm soooo close to giving up on my iPad now. Something as utterly simple as this should not be so complicated to work around, surely?! On the iPad I miss the drag & drop conveniance of Finder on the Mac, and the ability to just simply hit a menu button and organise things they way I want to see them (being as I own and paid for the gear!). I am stunned it is so 'messy' on the iPad...
    Thanks muchly folks.
    - John

This can be done but its a bit tricky.
If you want to retain files names when importing photos into photo manager pro you need to use iTunes not the "photos" app.
    1) open itunes
    2) click the iPad button
    3) Apps tab
    4) at the bottom of the pane look for "File sharing"  select the PhotoMgrPro icon
    5)  the the pane next to it should now be called "PhotoMgrPro Documents. Click the add button.
    6) Slect the desired images for import, click "add."
I need to manage multiple large collections of sales photos in PhotoMgrPro and I found that importing one collection at a time was the easyest way to manage.
    7) Open PhotoMgrPro
    8) create a new folder
    9) Open it and then click the import button on the bottom left.
    10) Select itunes.
    11) import. ( original file names should be intact )
    12) the images should remove themselves from the itunes que after import.
    13) repeat

  • Since recent flurry of updates, all of which I applied, I can no longer sync photos to my iOS6 devices. Any thoughts

Since recent flurry of updates, all of which I applied, I can no longer sync photos to my iOS6 devices.
iTunes sync error at the photo sync step with an unknown error 1140.
I have restarted everything, unsynced & attempted re sync to no avail.
The photo sync screen only allows me to select the sync all option, the select specific events, albums etc . Choice is greyed out.
This is true for both my iPhone 4S and ipad2.

I think I have figured it out, and photos are syncing now.
Here is what I believe happened: There is an iTunes generated folder called "iPod Photo Cache" in my "Pictures" folder on my Airpot Disk. This folder gets generated by iTunes whenever you designate a location for syncing. The "iPod Photo Cache" folder contains a file called "Photo Database".
It looks like the "Photo Database" had been corrupted. Deleting this file, or alternatively, moving my pictures to a new folder and letting iTunes regenerate the Photo Database fixed the problem.

How do I use the time capsule to share itunes music between multiple apple devices? Also, is it possible to control the music on one device using another, and how do you set this up?

unless i'm missing something, i think you got mixed up, this is easy google for walk throughs
i'm assuming this is the new 3tb tc AC or 'tower' shape, if so, its wifi will run circles around your at&t device
unplug the at&t box for a minute and plug it back in
factory reset your tc - unplug it, hold down reset and keep holding while you plug it back in - only release reset when amber light flashes in 10-20s
connect the tc to your at&t box via eth in the wan port, wait 1 minute, open airport utility look in 'other wifi devices' to setup the tc
create a new wifi network (give it a different name than your at&t one) and put the tc in bridge mode (it may do this automatically for you, but you should double check) under the 'network' tab
login to your at&t router and disable wifi on it
add new clients to the new wifi network, and point your Macs to the time machine for backups

  • Can I have a Face Time conversation between two Apple devices using the same Apple ID?

Can I have a Face Time conversation between two Apple devices using the same Apple ID?

Yes, you can, but the two devices can't have the same e mail address associated with both.  Each, device needs its own unique e mail ADR.  In your case, the iPod can call your iPhone if you use the phone number, but the iPhone can not call your iPod because it must use the e mail address, and if the email address is the same on both, the iPhone will think it's calling itself, so the call will not go through.

  • Syncing photos between ios and Mac

    Hi
How to sync photos between Mac and ios .. iPhoto is confusing .. If I create an album on Mac and share it to ios
Through iTunes I won't be able to add or delete photos to it with ios which is strange .. If I use photo stream album
Created on ios I won't be able to add photos for them with my Mac so how to do such a simple task with iPhoto ?

Not sure what you're asking here. The only connection between iphoto for mac and iPhoto for iOS is a name. Other than that they have nothing in common. So, no you can't manage albums created on your Mac with iPhoto for iOS and vice versa.

  • Problems syncing photos from iPhone to iPhoto

I have an iPhone 4 installed with iOS 5.0.1. I also have a slightly older version of iPhoto (I believe it's one generation behind; whatever that is). Prior to updating my iPhone to either iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1 (I didn't check between updates) I used to be able to sync my photos FROM my iPhone into iPhoto. I can no longer do this and Apple has no idea what the problem is?!?!
iPhoto appears as though it's going to start syncing photos but then does nothing except gives me a big white screen; almost like it doesn't recognize the phone. I've tried deleting the photo cache and nothing. I've tried calling Apple support and nothing.
Can anyone help me with this, as it is very inconvenient to keep emailing photos to myself. I assume the issue has to do with the iCloud folder and iPhoto doesn't know what to do with the iCloud photo. Of course Apple has to understand this is an issue before it will be fixed, if I am correct.
    Suggestions?

Since iPhoto syncing is not working for you right now and you need to replace your phone, consider transferring your pictures wirelessly to your computer using and app like PhotoSync.  Also be sure to back up your contacts as they are not fully backed up as part of the iPhone backup.  Either sync them to a service such as Google or use an app like My Contacts Backup (which will back up your contacts as an attachment to an email that your send to yourself and can later be used to import your contacts to your new phone).
