Problems uninstalling Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g

When we go into the OUI we select deinstall option on the intial screen. The deinstaller sits there and does nothing. Any suggestions.

Do not think Warehouse Builder is free for any edition. It also looks to be an Enterprise Edition only option.

Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g installation issues

Hi All,
I have downloaded the OWB 10g, from the site. I have Oracle 10g (Release 2) database server installed on the machine.
When I start installing Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g, it just does the client installation and I am not able to find out were should I search for the OWB server installation?
Even I have checked by installing the same but I just have Repository Assistant , Design Center and Repository Browser available on the machine. I could not find the Runtime Assistant & Control Center to work on?
Can somebody help me out with these issues?

Warehouse Builder is a single install image that contains both Client and Server components, which are installed at the same time as part of the installation process. If the deployment target database is on the same machine as Warehouse Builder Client UI, there is one single installation process. If the deployment target database is on a separate machine, the install process has to be run twice, repeating the exact same install process on the client machine (to run the Warehouse Builder Design client) and the deployment target machine. Normally when installing the repository, either locally or remotely, the OWB software needs to be already present on the machine. However, it is possible to skip or defer the step of installing on the target deployment machine. This is referred to as a “Remote Target Configuration”. More information on this can be found in the Installation Guide, Chapter 2, “Remote Target”.

Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1) for Microsoft Windows

On the URL http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/warehouse/index.html I get an error (404), when trying to download OWB 10g R2 for MS Windows. I am able to download the release for other platforms, but I need the one for MS Windows.

Inserting sql scripts in Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g

Dear all,
Can anyone please tell me if we can use a process flow to insert scripts in OWB 10g..
If so, how can i do it??
I am having a problem to insert sql scripts in OWB 10g r2.
Infact, i have to write a script and insert it in OWB to populate data from a souce table to a target table.
I have checked the script in sqlplus and it's working correctly (update being done).
The problem is that how do i insert the script in OWB?? Can i use a process flow other than OMB PLUS??

I have inserted the following script in the sqlplus activity in my process flow.
INSERT INTO BMADW.TARGET_SALGRADE (GRADE, LOSAL, HISAL) SELECT GRADE, LOSAL, HISAL FROM SCOTT.SALGRADE;
COMMIT;
EXIT
When i run the script in sql*plus, it does the insert and the commit part successfully. I have to press 'ENTER' for SQL*PLUS to exit.
If i have to end the script, is the word 'EXIT' the right command to use??
My process flow is deploying successfully but when starting it, still no 'INSERT' has been done. It's taking too much time to run (without giving any error).
Please help me !!!

Update/Insert Problem with Oracle Warehouse Builder

Hello,
i have update/insert problem with owb.
Situation: I have a source-table called s_account and a target table called w_account_d. In the target table are already data which was filled trough the source table inserts. Now anyone make changes on data on the target table. This changes should now give further on the source table with an update operation. But exactly here is the problem i can´t map back the data to source because that will create a loop.
My idea was to set a trigger but i can´t find this component in owb or is anywhere hidden?
Also i have already seen properties as CDC or conditonal loading in the property inspector of the table, but i have no idea how it works.
Give it other possibilities to modeling this case? or can anyone me explain how i can implement this eventually with CDC?

thanks for your answer. I follow your suggestion and have set the constraints of both tables into the database directly.Nevertheless it doesn´t work to begin. In the next step i found by right click on a table the listpoint "configure" - I goes to "unique key" --> creation method and set here follow options: Constraint State = ENABLE, Constraint Validation = Validate. That error message that appears before by the deployment disappears yet. Now i start the job to test if the insert/update process works right. Finally it seems to work - but not really.
My Testscenario
1. Load the data from source table about the staging area to data warehouse table: Check - it works!
2. Change one data record in source table
3. Load the source table with changed data record once again to staging area: Check - it works!
4. Load new staging area table with the changed data record to data warehouse table: Check it works! BUT, BUT i can not recognize if it is insert or update operation, then under the design window by jobs execution windows is reported "rows selected 98", Rows inserted" is empty and "rows updated" is empty. So i think works not correct, then my opinion if it works correct it should show be "rows updated" 1.
What can yet now still be wrong or forgotten? Any ideas?
*By the way think not 98 rows there is not important if you make an update or insert which performance. It is an example table the right tables have million of records.*

There are three PCs on which this OWB version is installed. From my end (say PC_1 ) I was trying to do a Basic Installation, I tried it by giving the IP address of another machine (PC_2 say) and the other things the wizard asked. The installation was successful ! But the documentation says :
"The basic installation is designed for local installations only. If you select Basic Installation and enter connection information for a remote machine, the Repository Assistant instructs you to return to the Install Type and select Advanced Setup. "
But my installation was successful and I can connect to the repository again and again as a single user from any one of the three PCs I have, then how comes it was not a repository installation on remote machine? I am confused, Pls help...

Oracle Warehouse Builder Problem

Hello All,
I have just installed oracle warehouse builder 10g on windows 2000 system.
My database is oracle 10gR2
While connecting Oracle Repository Assistant, when I provide sys user/password and other credentials i got following error:
INS0003: OWB Repository Installation cannot continue without DBA privileges. Connect as DBA and use option Create a New Warehouse Builder Repository to continue the process.
Sys user is already having sysdba rights. I have tried to login with another dba account but still same error.
Any help??

Problems launching Repository Assistant from Oracle Warehouse Builder

I have installed the Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g Release 2 although, when i execute the file launch.exe installed at OWB_ORACLE_HOME/bin/, it not work
Somebody know something about this problem?
Postdata: I have Kaspersky antivirus installed as well.

Problem in DB Link creation ( Oracle warehouse builder 3i )

I am facing a problem in DB Link creation.
Backend: Oracle 8i Server on my machine
DW Software: Oracle warehouse builder 3i ( client , repository asistant.....)
Operating system: Windows NT 4 SERVICE PACK 6
I wants to use the scott database( default database given by oracle ) as my input source.
How can I create the DB LINK ( for scott database) ?
How can I create the DB LINK ( for any other database) ?
Should I need to add anything in Setting of"ODBC DATASOURCE ADMINISTRATION"

I solved the problem.
Procedure I followed :
UNINSTALL ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.
'GLOBAL_NAMES = FALSE' in init.ora file.
RESTARTED MY MACHINE.
INSTALL THE ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.

Problem in import of MetaData file in Oracle Warehouse Builder 9.2

My Problem is Related to Oracle WareHouse Builder.My system's configuration is following :-
Machine : P4
Operating System :Windows XP
ORacle : Version 9.2
Oracle WareHouse Builder 9.2
Ram :1GB
SGA Size :Approximately 650M
I have 2 MetaData files which I have to import into OWB.
First file's size is 9M.It got imported properly in 4 minutes without any error.
2nd File's Size is 30M.when
I start importing this MEtaData file.It goes upto 35% in Progress Bar.But after that it does not show any improvement.
I have left the machine running with this option upto 24 hours.
But nothing happened .It still shows only 35%.
I have checked log file/Trace file/Alert log files ,but there is no error in these files.
If any body have any solution about it,Please reply ASAP.I am stucked in this problem from last 7-8 days.

Thanks for your reply Igor.
As posted the OWB 10.1.0 software is running against a 9.2.0.8.0. database, so OWB still uses DBMS_JOB instead of DBMS_SCHEDULER in this database. In addition I already tested scheduling a simple job to run an OS command as suggested in note 365539.1 , and job scheduling is working fine.
There are no invalid objects in this database.
