Problems with Adding Fields/Columns to Crosstab in XI

I am having problems with formatting a crosstab report in CRXI and am hoping that someone has a solution.
The crosstab report is a subreport, and requires the following columns, grouped by Firm (also not working optimally, but at least working):
Evaluator, Factor1Rate,[Factor2Rate, .., FactorNRate], Summary, UpdateDate, UpdatedBy
Where:
Evaluator is the person that did the evaluation that resulted in each rating (formula field)
Factor1Rate, etc, may have one, many, or all of these be applicable - there can be up to 15 of these. Each FactorRate column is to display the "rating" given by the Evaluator in the corresponding row/column (this much works). The table heading is a formula, but the corresponding rate is not.
Summary should display "Complete" if and only if there is a Comment field (not displayed) filled out for each FactorNRate that has a value of 0, 1 or 5 - otherwise it is blank
DateEntered is one of 2 fields ("last_updated" , or "creation_date" if last_updated is null - a formula field)
UpdatedBy is the last name of the person who last touched the ratings (formula field)
I have gotten the FactorRates to display in the headers, and gotten the corresponding rates to display underneath them, but I cannot seem to add any other columns to the report - they are either added as headers with the factor_rating columns repeated as subgroups (with incorrect data), or are added under existing headers with duplicates of the ratings. I just want to add one column for each field as if it were a normal (non-crosstab) table.

Problem with adding new field to the mass change screen in FBL5N

Hi,
We have a problem with adding the field XREF3 to the mass change screen. We followed steps described in the SAP Note 640908, but the result is that when we try to mass change some documents in FBL5N and enter some values in the mass change screen, a message appears: "Please enter at least one new value" and nothing is changed.
If you have faced with such a problem, we would be grateful if you give us some tips.

Problem with adding Sun JSF RI v1.2 as a new library in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1

Hi,
I have a problem with adding a latest JSF 1.2 RI from Sun (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/files/documents/1866/44998/jsf-1_2_03.zip) to JDeveloper as a new library.
I created a new User library and added into it jsf-impl.jar and jsf-api.jar from JSF 1.2 RI.
Then I try to create two new JSP Tag libraries based from .tld files.
When a .tld file is placed in "TLD File:" field there is no information below about Library Version and Required JSP Version. If I check "Execute Tags in JSP Visual Editor" and click "Customize" button - list of tags in "Customize Tag Library" window is empty.
I have errors when I try to use JSF Tags from this new library in JSP page like :
"Can't create tag instance: f:view (class: null). Make sure, that the tag class or a library contained this class is available in this application"
(free translation to English)
Is this possible to add JSF RI v1.2 as another library in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?

Hi,
This solution is not exactly for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.x I think.
- "Create a JSF system library." section, point 2. - there is not possible to add library in folder other than User I see, so I added it in User folder.
- "Register the JSF JSP tag libraries." section, point 5. - in JD 10.1.3 there is no dialog box, I checked checkbox "Show Tag Library in Palette". A new library was added to User folder but there is no new libraries in component Palette.
Even as I use "Edit tag libraries .." from Component Palette context menu and add manually new tag libraries to selected, there is no libraries in Component Palette after it.
I feel so problem is with different .tld files format, not with adding libraries method.

Facing problem with a date column in select query

Hi,
I am facing problem with a date column. Below is my query and its fainling with " invalid number format model" .
Query: SELECT *
FROM EMP
WHERE trunc(LAST_UPDATED) >= to_date(to_char(22-05-2009,'dd-mm-yyyy'),'dd-mm-yyyy')
LAST_UPDATED column is "DATE" data type.

I don't think so. What if the user wants only data for 22nd May and the table has records with date later than 22nd also? In that case your query willl not work. In order for the Index to work, I think the query can be written like this I think Sean is right though. Use of TRUNC Function is quiet useless based on the condition given here, since the to_date Function used by OP will always point to midnight of the specified date, in this case 22-05-2009 00:00:00.

Problem with currency field in smart form

friends ..
i had problem with currency field in smartform iam printing 5 currecny
fields after the main window .But not getting printed on right way gets printed down from the given mesaurement and i get lot of gap betwen the
each fields for ex.

i thought the the problem is with space .so iwanted to condense it but cannot as it is currency field so move into character fields .but the user want out put in currency format like 22,60.20 if i get the value in char variable i get 2260.20 which i dont want .
so pls help me how to condense or shift left and print the currency field on right place.

this is a normal problem u can avoid this by moveing these currencu value to a character field then print the char field us ing condece... &var(C)&..

[SOLVED] Problem with adding a SSH connection to startup

Hi guys. I have a problem with adding ssh connection to startup. i want this command to run before kde login screen and keep running all time.

you need -f, which sends ssh to the background, and -N which does not execute a remote command.
If you need it to run as a user other than root, then you probably need to utilize su as well.
it didnt work either. i am putting it in rc.local but doesnt work.

Problem with a field set to refresh after insert at Row level

hello all,
i have a problem with a field (a serial) which is set by a db trigger at insertion. The field "refresh after insert" is properly set in the Entity and everything is refreshed correctly when i insert data via an adf form in a jspx but when i want to insert programmatically nothing is refreshed. I insert data this way :

<more init here but not the serial since it will be set by the DB trigger>

but when i want to get back the value with "newRow().getAttribute("TheSerial");" i always get a null back and not the value set by the db trigger.
One way to get the serial is to commit after each insert but i don't want to commit between inserts.
i've tried to unset the refresh after insert and override the createDef() method to setUseReturningClause(false) as it's is advised in chapter 26.5 of the ADF 4GL dev. guide but in this case i have an exception JBO-29000: JBO-26041.
How can i get the value back properly ?

The data for the newly created row doesn't get inserted into the database until the commit is executed, so the insert trigger isn't called.
If you need to get the value without committing, then you should implement the trigger programmatically and drop the trigger from the database. The code below shows how you could do this.

SequenceImpl seq = new SequenceImpl("MY_SEQ", insertVO.getDBTransaction());
Long next = (Long)seq.getData();
newRow.setAttribute("primaryAttribute", new Number(next));
...You will need to replace MY_SEQ and primaryAttribute with the correct values for your example, but this should acheive what you want.

Problems with adding Library for a MySQL JDBC driver

Good day,
I am new with the JDeveloper package, so the following could be a user fault.
I found the following:
- I downloaded and installed Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.10 (latest version).
- I downloaded the latest JDBC drivers for MySQL. ( mysql-connector-java-3.1.10 )
Now, I did the following steps extracted from the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/duff/mysql_and_oc4j3.html it should be quite easy to add the JDBC Drivers to the project.
I did the steps with the following results:
When I Edit the Project properties, follow Profiles -> Development -> Libraries
When I do ' New' , fill in at JS2E the value 'MySQL' and fill in the Class Path (in my case 'C:\javaInstalls\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10-bin.jar').
In that case the [OK] is disabled. I should expect the [OK] button was enabled!
My question: Is this a bug? When not, what am I doing wrong!

I tried it on an other system and had no problems with adding the libraries. It still is a problem on that particular system using the Dutch version of XP. The problem is that the Ok button stays disabled !
Could it bw a version problem with Java? How ever no changes are made to the original configuration, so it should pick up as default the java version of JDeveloper self.

Problem with creating virtual column

Hello,
We've got problem with creating virtual column.
There is table R_T that contain columns R_ID and L_ID, we would like to create virtual column RL_ID that contains sth like 'R_ID-L_ID' (R_ID, L_ID and RL_ID are varchars).
According documentation we've tried:
alter table R_T add column (RL_ID varchar2(60) generated always as (R_ID||'-'||L_ID) VIRTUAL)
but getting
ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
00904.00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"
Have no idea where is the problem.
Table, columns names are little different but contains only capital letters A - Z and underscore "_".
Has anyone idea?

Problems with adding funds

Hey guys , I have a problem with adding funds in my PSN account with my debit card . I have used the same card in the past with no problems at all but now for some reason it keeps on saying that the card number is invalid every single time ! Please help me , is there any solution ? Does it maybe has to do with Capital Control ( I live in Greece )

Problem with adding participation date as updateable field during HRBEN0001

We have a need to update the participation date on our health plans (infotype 0167) during the enrollment process after modifying an adjustment reason (infotype 0378). We used SE84 to add the participation date (RPBEN_SA-PARDT) to screen 0100 of program SAPLHRBEN00ENROLLMENT. We can now type in the new date in the field but when you hit enter, it immediately reverts to the old date (that was already displayed by SAP). We even tried saving without hitting enter but, of course, this didn't work either. We've tried everything and can't seem to make it work. Because of the nature of screen 0100 we are having trouble turning on debugger to see if we can see what happens. It looks like the screen has the field defined as not updateable but we can't find where that is set. Our insurance providers often require us to set the participation date to dates other than the default that SAP is setting. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the field on infotype 0167 since we can modify the participation date field there through PA30. This gives us a work around but makes the process very tedious for out Benefits user since she often has large numbers of changes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Interesting as we also try to get field participation date maintained through benefit enrollment screen. The problem is the way SAP
is written in function 'HR_BEN_MAINTAIN_PLAN'. When selecting a life change event in benefit enrollment, SAP populates a list of internal tables (e.g. plan_offer internal table in which participation date is already defaulted to a date like current date).
When you click on a plan to enroll (e.g. health plan), a corresponding function is called ('HR_BEN_MAINTAIN_HEALTH_PLAN' for health plan). This function controls the window and logic for you to select the plan option / coverage. Within this function, it first populates fields in the window (display or not) with pre-populated records in the internal table, then overrides only fields currently
editable in this window (i.e. health plan option, dependent coverage). Therefore, even you add participation date and make it editable field into this window, this field will still be overrided with what's stored in the pre-populated internal table once you hit return or 'Accept'.
We even created a note with SAP to see if they can provide any suggestion; the answer is to submit a request for development for SAP to review.
What we ended up doing is to do this in two steps. First, enroll in a plan through benefit enrollment (knowing participation date value is not what we want). Once done, click on 'Overview' to go to 'Benefit Overview' so user can pick a record to edit (we have to do enhancement here to enable 'Change' tab here). This is to reduce the pain of having to get out benefit enrollment tcode, then go to benefit overview tcode to change participation date.

Problem with Date fields in Search panel

Hi all,
I use TP2 and in my jspx page I have a search panel with two date fields and table where the results is displayed. But there is a problem with these date fields, because when I search dates the results is nothing even I retype the date from table. Also I have other pages where this problem exist with same structure.
Could somebody help me with some advice?

Thanks for the answer.
I use the standart method to make search panel with drag and drop the data control to the page. The other search panel fileds work fine, only the date fileds are problem. Maybe something in view object doesn't work properly.

Also I have a result table for the search panel, but I don't believe the problem can be there because it works fine when I search in fields different by inputDate.
Do you have any suggestions?

Problem with number-fields in csv-Export-Files

Hello,
the export with the csv option works fine and our users like this export-function.
But Unfortunatelly we have some problems with the exported number fields. In my region I defined the field with a format mask.
On the screen it looks fine but when I change to csv the values are exported as text-values.
So in excel the columns are shown with left alignment.
When I try to change the format in excel to number, excel change the column type but not the value inside.
On this account we cannot use the sum-function and the display of the value is wrong (alignment).
Which possibilities do I have to resolve that problem?

Problem with a 2 columns Range Partitioning for a indexed organized table

have an indexed organized table with a 2 column PK. the first field (datum) is a date field the second field (installatieid) is a number(2) field.
Every minute a 7 records are inserted (installatieid 0-6).
I like to partition this table with one partition per year per installatieid.
I tried to do it with:
partition by range(datum,installatieid)
(partition P_2004_0 values less than (to_date('2004-01,'yyyy-mm'),1)
,partition P_2004_6 values less than (to_date('2004-01','yyyy-mm'),7)
partition P_2005_0 values less than (to_date('2005-01','yyyy-mm'),1)
,partition P_2005_6 values less than (to_date('2005-01','yyyy-mm'),7)
but now only the P_2004_0 and P_2005_0 are filled.
I thought about to combine a range partition on datum with a list subpartition on installatieid, but I read this is not allowed with an index organized table.
How can I solve this problem.
