Problems with deployment in 6.1 on  tru64

          Hi,
          We are having problems with deployment of web applications in 6.1. We are running
          cluster ( 2 managed servers ) .The problem is that every time we restart the admin
          and managed servers, none of our application gets loaded and deployed. In the
          console, application looks ok i.e. targtes are listed and application is deployed
          but actually the application is not loaded and does not work. If I go and deploy/redploy
          the app , it works fine but again after every restart of the servers, application
          does not get loaded.
          Any idea. Your help is greatly appreciated.
          Thanks,
          Manoj

          Kumar,
          I do not see applicaitons being loaded and deployed at the time of server startup.
          In config.xml everything looks ok.

  • Having major problem with deployed installer needing DLLs that I don't seem to use in the application

    I'm a bit confounded on the library situations...I'm not using an RT target...
    though
    when running the deployed executable/installer.... upon start it asks
    for these 2 dlls:  lvuste.dll & lvalarms.dll. which seem to be related to RT  ????  how do I get
    around this?  How would I include these dlls within an executable or installer?
     I'm using 8.5.

    It looks like this was a problem with the way Timed loops link directly to those 2 DLLs.  Does the error ask for those DLLs in a specific folder?  If so you can copy them from their current location (which I believe should be <labview>\resource folder) to the folder that it wants them to be in.  Alternately you can simply remove the timed loops, since timed loops on a Windows PC doesn't really have much benefit over a while loop with a timer.
    Hope this helps...

  • Problem with *.deploy files

    I got a problem with my *.deploy files.
    My main .deploy file assemble two files : ejbs.deploy and servlets.deploy.
    Whenever I change the “Files“ property in ejbs.deploy or the “WEB-INF/classes” property in servlets.deploy from within JDeveloper, it work just fine.
    However, when I change those files from outside JDeveloper, JDeveloper fails to read them properly and mark all the classes/files as unchecked, thus deploying a wrong EAR file. It happens even if I rename the .deploy file and then rename it back !
    It is important for me to change those files externally in order to use the software configuration tool my team uses.
    I will appreciate any ideas how to solve this problem.
    Sincerely,
    Rom.

    No one? Not even a single comment? Please people, have mercy on your friend who can't even make an ear file...
    Seriously, I'll really appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rom.

  • Problems with Deploying

    Hey Guys.
    Sorry for my bad English. Im from Germany ;)
    I got a problem with the deploying of jar file with the JDeveloper.
    My program simply consists of 2 ".java" files.
    One file for the swing components with some functions inside....and the other one is a complete PDF - Output with the itext-library!
    When I start my application in the JDeveloper...it runs! perfect.
    But when I deploy it, i cant make a PDF! So the second ".java" file which implements the itext library doesnt work!
    I think, that I have to implement the itext.jar files when I deploy it...but how??
    Thanks for your answers :)

    Ok!
    Got an exception ;)

    Hi Partha. Did you get a solution to your problem with high connection delay times on your server? I'm having a similar problem and saw your post.
    Thanks,

  • J2EE 1.4 Tutorial - problems with deploying web services

    Hi folks,
    I have a problem with the deployment of the example "MyHelloService" (chapter 8: Building Web Services With JAX-RPC).
    I've installed the application server properly and executed all the necessary steps written down in the tutorial (Packaging the Service and Specifying the Endpoint Address).
    While deploying the service I get the following error message:
    Deploy action running...
    com.sun.enterprise.admin.common.exception.DeploymentException: com.sun.enterprise.config.ConfigException: Failed to load deployment descriptor for: MyHelloService
    cause: Premature end of file.

    I verified the deployment descriptor and unpacked the WAR, but there seems to be no mistake. I don't know what to do...I can't imagine that this is a bug, so maybe I've done something wrong.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your answer, but I encountered the problem with the defect WAR file already in chapter 3 (Getting Started with Web Applications). I searched the forum and found the thread you recommended, made the adjustments in the deploytool.bat file and so fixed the problem.
    Thus your recommendation is unfortunately not the right solution for my problem.
    For verification purposes, here is an extract from my deploytool.bat file:
    set _USER_COUNTRY=US
    set _USER_LANG=en
    set _USER_REGION=US
    set _MAIN=com.sun.enterprise.tools.deployment.ui.Main
    set _CPATH=%LIB%\appserv-assemblytool.jar;%AS_IMQ_LIB%\activation.jar; %AS_JHELP%\jhall.jar;%LIB%\appserv-admin.jar;%LIB%\appserv-cmp.jar; %LIB%\appserv-rt.jar;%LIB%\j2ee.jar; %AS_INSTALL%\share\lib\jaxrpc-impl.jar;%LIB%\appserv-ext.jar; %LIB%\deployhelp.jar

    Test Name : tests.web.ServletLargeIcon
    There are no large-icon elements within the servlet [ helloservice.HelloImpl ].
    Test Name : tests.web.ServletClass
    Servlet class [ helloservice.HelloImpl ] resides in the WEB-INF/classes directory.
    Test Name : tests.web.SessionTimeout
    Servlet session-timeout [ 30 ] element defines the default session timeout interval expressed in whole minutes.
    Test Name : tests.web.ServletInterface
    Not Applicable since, Servlet [ helloservice.HelloImpl ] is a JAXRPC Endpoint.
    Test Name : tests.web.ParamValue
    Test Name : tests.web.ServletSmallIcon
    There are no small-icon elements in the servlet [ helloservice.HelloImpl ].
    Test Name : tests.web.WebName
    Web-App display name is : [ MyHelloService.war ]
    Test Name : tests.web.ServletParamName
    ServletParam name exists in the web application.
    Test Name : tests.web.ResourceAuth
    Test Name : tests.web.ServletParamValue
    Test Name : tests.web.JarContainsXMLFile
    Found deployment descriptor xml file [ WEB-INF/web.xml ]All the other tests were notapplicable (no errors).
    Moreover, I unpacked the WAR file (MyHelloService.war): all necessary XML files were included and well-formed.

  • Problems with Deploying the Tutorial

    Hi,
    i've tried to develop a small web service on the Oracle Application Server. Therefor i've tested the Tutorial Developing, Deploying and Managing Web Services Using JDeveloper and Oracle Application Server (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/ws/wsandascontrol.htm).
    But i've several problems with this tutorial...
    In the tutorial is mentioned to use J2EE 1.4 JAX RPC, but with this one i cant deploy on my Application Server - only local embedded works. On the Application Server i get the message:
    #### DCM command did not complete successfully (-8)
    #### HTTP return code was -8
    Exit status of DCM servlet client: -8
    Elapsed time for deployment: 22 seconds
    #### Deployment incomplete. #### 28-Sep-2006 16:29:04
    After searching the forum i found the reason for this...
    Unable to deploy web-service from JDeveloper to Oracle AS
    Okay so i tried to develop the same example under J2EE 1.3... Now i can deploy the example on the Application Server but it doesn't work either! When i call the webservice i recieve the error:

    Damn! I dont know what to do ;)
    Any suggestions?
    thx
    Matthias
    btw:
    Setup is:
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.1
    AppServer 10.1.2.0.2
    Content DB 10.2.0.0.0

    Another Problem occurred...
    As i mentioned deploying direct to the AppServer from JDeveloper works well (for the J2EE 1.3) but only that it doest work on the Application Server. So I tried to deploy a ear/war file and check them manuell into the Application Server. But doesn't work either...
    I get the following error:

    Any ideas for solving this problem?

  • Problems with deployed printers

    We have printers deployed to our buildings via Group Policy. We're having intermittent problems with the printers getting mapped for the users. We have a mixed Windows 7 and 8.1 environment. From what I can tell the Windows 7 almost always work. However
    for the Windows 8.1 ones its intermittent. The error in the Application log for the machines that do not get the printers is this:
    The user 'Hard-IMC-1nb-test' preference item in the 'Student Mandatory {0FA26CC5-C001-4A02-AACE-930581B7A1CF}' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070057 The parameter is
    incorrect.' This error was suppressed.
    Hard-IMC etc is the printer share name. Student Mandatory is the name of the policy.
    The strange thing is some students login and get all printers, some it gets this. I tried adding another printer share to the same printers with say a PCL5 driver vs a PCL 6. And it'll work fine for a few days then that one falls into the mix of not getting
    mapped. This is happening in all of our buildings each has its own local 2008 R2 print server. If I create a test account and login to the same PC as a student that doesn't get the printers it works fine for about 9-10 logins and then it starts happening to
    the test account. Its like the problem takes a few logins to occur. I've looked at some of our printers and they use the same manufacturer driver for both Win 7 and 8.1 so its not a driver issue especially since a lot of the times they do map.
    The only thing I've been able to find out is that on Win7 its not happening. Nothing else makes sense. There is no pattern to time of day or account. The machines all have the same image and updates etc. Can anyone give me a direction to look at. We have
    too many PC's to do printers individually.
    Thanks
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    Before going further, sorry for the late response.
    >>If I create a test account and login to the same PC as a student that doesn't get the printers it works fine for about 9-10 logins and then it starts happening to the test account. Its like the problem takes a few logins to occur
    Based on the description, after the issue occurs, please log out the users, log in again, and then run the command
    gpresult/h gpreport.html to collect group policy result to check if the group policy settings still apply correctly.
    Besides, what printers do we use? For this involves third party hardware product, and in order to better troubleshoot the issue, we can also contact vendor company to see if they have some suggestions for this issue.
    Best regards,
    Frank Shen

    Now, when I deployed it thru Admin Tool and then clicked on "Launch", it displays a page with :
    Please press Submit Press Me!
    But when I click the button "Press Me!", it says:
    "The requested resource (/HelloWorldApp/HelloWorld) is not available."
    What should I do to correct the problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, you need to add a servlet -mapping element and adjust your form to submit to the appropriate URL mapping.
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>HelloWorldServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/servlet/Hello</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

    Does enyone know anything about this issue?

    Hi,
    It would be helpful if you copied and pasted the error messages you get.
    For what its worth, it probably isn't a bug, just a configuration problem. You may need to alter more than your application.xml file.
    If you developed the EJBs with JDeveloper, you can create a deployment descriptor that adds the necessary configuration files for the OAS platform, and package them into a WAR or EAR. Use Enterprise Manager to deploy the WAR/EAR to the OAS OC4J and everything will be placed where its needed.
    More info in the JDeveloper and OAS 10.1.3 documentation.

  • Problems with Deployment, Startup classes and MBeanHome

    Hello,
    we have the following problem: How to initialize our application
    correctly???
    We are using MDBs as message consumers but have to guarantee the order of
    incoming
    messages. Due to a shortcoming in the JMS implementation (Order of
    redelivered messages
    is not guaranteed before WLS 8.1!!!) we are using a singleton class to keep
    the health state
    of the different message queues within the application (controlling whether
    the MDBs are
    supposed to proceed with processing or to discard any incoming messages).
    Thus the MDBs
    have to access this singleton, what implies latter has to be initialized
    prior to the application
    deployment. That's what we are using a startup class for, which is marked to
    be loaded before
    appplication deployment...
    Fortunately the according bug is fixed with WLS 7.0.2.0, so the class is
    loaded, but we are
    not able to access the MBeanHome interface (We like to register MBean to
    provide
    adminstrative access to the health state)!!!
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve
    'weblogic.management.home.localhome' Resolved: 'weblogic.management'
    Unresolved:'home' ; remaining name 'home.localhome'
    at weblogic.rmi.internal.ServerRequest.sendReceive(ServerRequest.java:174)
    So when is the MBeanServer started???
    Before application deployment??? After??? Is there any way to tell WLS not
    to load the startup
    class before the MBeanServer is available respectively the MBeanHome is
    accessible via JNDI
    but before application deployment???
    Any hints are welcome!!!
    Regards,
    CK

    this seems like a bug. the mbeanhome should be available for lookup in
    startup classes. also posting to system management newsgroup.

    we have the following problem: How to initialize our application
    correctly???
    We are using MDBs as message consumers but have to guarantee the order of
    incoming
    messages. Due to a shortcoming in the JMS implementation (Order of
    redelivered messages
    is not guaranteed before WLS 8.1!!!) we are using a singleton class tokeep
    the health state
    of the different message queues within the application (controllingwhether
    the MDBs are
    supposed to proceed with processing or to discard any incoming messages).
    Thus the MDBs
    have to access this singleton, what implies latter has to be initialized
    prior to the application
    deployment. That's what we are using a startup class for, which is markedto
    be loaded before
    appplication deployment...
    Fortunately the according bug is fixed with WLS 7.0.2.0, so the class is
    loaded, but we are
    not able to access the MBeanHome interface (We like to register MBean to
    provide
    adminstrative access to the health state)!!!
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve
    'weblogic.management.home.localhome' Resolved: 'weblogic.management'
    Unresolved:'home' ; remaining name 'home.localhome'
    at weblogic.rmi.internal.ServerRequest.sendReceive(ServerRequest.java:174)
    So when is the MBeanServer started???
    Before application deployment??? After??? Is there any way to tell WLS not
    to load the startup
    class before the MBeanServer is available respectively the MBeanHome is
    accessible via JNDI
    but before application deployment???
    Any hints are welcome!!!
    Regards,
    CK

  • Problems with deploy in Oracle AS 10g

    Hi people,
    We developed a system that we need to install on my client’s Oracle Application Server 10g, but I haven't the OAS here in my company and I can't test it on my client. In my application, I access the data source by two ways: one way by the Hibernate, editing the application’s "hibernate.cfg.xml" file and the other way access by JDBC directly.
    In hibernate.cfg.xml, I edit the property of "hibernate.connection.datasource" by this way (my application name's is "GCS"):
    <property name="hibernate.connection.datasource">java/gcs</property>
    By JDBC, I get the connection by this way:
    protected Connection getConnection() throws DAOException {
    Context initContext;
    try {
    initContext = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)initContext.lookup
    ("java/gcs");
    return ds.getConnection();
    } catch (Throwable e) {
    throw new DAOException(e);
    In Oracle AS, I created a data source with the name and the JNDI location "java/gcs" and in the "Data Source Class" field I wrote "com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource".
    With this configuration the OAS did the deploy successfully. So I started the application and the system started to process the mapping of the Hibernate classes' (I could see this by the log).
    The problem is when I access the system deployed, appeared a window in my browser like those directory permission window that ask by username and password. This is very strange. Apparently, I have no access to the directory of my application... I try to put the username and password of the Windows, of the database user, of the OAS administrator... but nothing happens.
    Somebody knows what is this window? Why it appears? Where I configure this in the OAS?
    Thank's

  • Problem with deploying juddi in jwsdp1.5

    Hi All,
    I have donwloaded, jwsdp1.5 and the associated tomcat5.0-jwsd. I have successfully
    started my tomcat admin and management page. But when I deploy juddi using
    a juddi.war file, I just can not get access to juddi db. I get the following error:
    + Got a JNDI Context!
    + Got a JDBC DataSource (dsname=java:comp/env/jdbc/juddiDB)
    - DB connection was not aquired. (Cannot load JDBC driver class 'null')
    - SELECT COUNT(*) FROM PUBLISHER failed (null)
    To remedy these problems, I have tried and modified server.xml to include a reference
    to my database:
    <GlobalNamingResources>
    <ResourceParams name="UserDatabase">
    <parameter>
    <name>factory</name>
    <value>org.apache.catalina.users.MemoryUserDatabaseFactory</value>
    </parameter>
    <parameter>
    <name>pathname</name>
    <value>conf/tomcat-users.xml</value>
    </parameter>
    </ResourceParams>
    <Resource name="jdbc/juddiDB"
    auth="Container"
         type="javax.sql.DataSource"
         driverClassName="org.postgresql.Driver"
         factory="org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory"
         url="jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/sviens"
         username="sviens"
         password="password"
         ymaxActive="20"
         maxIdle="10"
         maxWait="-1" />
    </GlobalNamingResources>
    I have also included juddi.xml in %TOMCATHOME%\conf\Catalina\localhost.
    with a reloadable context.
    Also when I look at Data Sources on my TOMCAT Web Server, this is what I get:

    Any ideas? Many Thanks.
    P.S. I am using windows 2000 machine wiht Java 1.4.x.

    Thank you for the replies. What was happening is that the other audio files were being onverted by PPPro. This one was not. I moved the file to the desktop and once again placed it into the project. This time the yellow conversion line on the bottom right corner went to work and it works fine. It was some type of glitch with that one file. Thanks again. Roman
