Problems with exporting from FCP5 to Compressor 2

I am getting an error message as follows:
File error: A file of this name already exists.
I click okay. Compressor launches. I get an error message as follows:
Error: Cant preview movie. Final cut Pro is busy.
I select mpeg 2 DVD quality 90 min best. Check settings to be okay. Process batch. In the batch monitor it reads as follows:
Export status: failed.
Can anyone help me with this situation? I have tried renaming the sequence, saving the project as a different name, and I have went through the long process of reinstalling Compressor and deleting the appropriate receipts, and apps.

From your sequence select :
File > Export > Quicktime Movie ...
Settings: Current Settings (that means the same codec that your timeline, what ever it is)
Include: Audio and Video
Markers: (what you need here)
Don't select: Recompress All Frmaes
Select (if you have enough dfree space i your drives): Make Movie Self-Contained
You'll get a Quicktime Movie with same quality that your timeline. Open Compressor application from your App folder, drag and drop the exported movie file and select the preset you need.

You can't. The export module (btw gone in Bridge CC) has never worked properly for all social media. The reason they gave was due to rights management in different countries. It only worked in a few countries for Facebook.

Problems with exporting from Lightroom3

Very new to this, so hope someone can help. I have been using Bridge and Camera Raw for organising and would like to keep doing this, just using Lightroom for pre-set effects. So I have been importing from a folder, making adjustments and then exporting back to same folder. I set a custom rename up in order to keep the original with no effects and have the new adjusted image in the same place. I can't make this work - either everything changes or nothing. With jpegs and CR2 files, I get my original adjusted as well as the copy. (Help - where is my original?). With Photoshop files, both the original and the renamed copy have no adjustments at all (although the adjustments are there in Lightroom if I re-import). What am I doing wrong? I looked at a thread about no adjustments coming through from Lightroom4, but don't think this is the same as I am experiencing. Ideally, I would do raw adjustments in ACR, then levels, colours and repairs in photoshop, and save as a 'master' PSD - from which I can print, save as jpeg, experiment in Lightroom etc. Surely LR can cope with psd files? I have an iMac, running Snow Leopard, Photoshop CS5, Lightroom 3.6 and have updated everything from Adobe (although stayed with ACR 6.6). Many thanks.

Sound problem with exporting from After Effects

Hello everybody,
I exported a windows media video from premiere cs5 (it was shot with the cannon 7d).
The video has 1 video channel, 1 audio channel that contains a conversation, and another audio channel that contains only music.
After I exported it, I imported the video into After Effects cs5, I added some effects, and then I exported it as a windows media video.
The audio settings were:
Mode- music
codec- windows meida audio voice 9
audio format- 20kbps, 22.05 khz, mono
Even though the video from Premiere was flawless, the one from After Effects contains the conversation perfectly, but the music is very low and even erratic.
Did anybody experienced this problem?

AE doesn't deal with multiple channels. It always assumes that a file with 2 channels is stereo. You need to export the audio from Premiere separately or create a proper stereo mix, not throw two interleaved mono channels at AE...

Problem with exporting from CS5 to swf ???

I have an InDesign CS5 document with 10 pages in 5 spreads. I need to export every single pages to a seperate swf file, with no action at all, but CS5 export each spread to a swf file, and not each page ??? It was not a problem in CS4. Anybody knew what to do ?????

No my document is like below.
I have unchecked "facing pages" in the Document Setup and I do remember to choose the "range number" in the export menu,
but still the swf file shows the whole spread ???

Problem with exporting from lr2.5 to photoshop cs4

guys, I had this problem where everytime I choose to "edit in photoshop", photoshop cs 4 will open but nothing will happen, then lr 2.5 will post something like : the file couldnt be edited coz ps cs4 failed to launch", peculiar thing is it will work if and only if the files are jpeg AND i choose to edit the original or edit the copy of the original (even if files are jpeg they wont open if i choose to edit a copy with lightroom adjustments
i also cannot merge files to panorama or making hdr images, when I click these, cs4 will open but nothing happens
anybody know the solution to my problem ?
ive been scanning the net for literally hours to find the solution for this problem and nothing so far solve it............this gets really2 annoying...............

I think it is just a dumb timer that is waiting for Photoshop to reply to Lightroom that the operation was succesful. If it takes too long for Photoshop to react it does this. This seems to happen when you have too little internal memory or when you have programs occupying most of your memory or when your main harddisk is almost full.

Problem with Export from LR

I'm using LR 3 and CS5. Until 2 days ago, I could right click on my image in LR, choose export, and then choose "Open in Adobe Photoshop CS5.1" in my export manager and it would automatically open the image in ACR within Photoshop. Starting yesterday, Photoshop opens, but the picture does not open in ACR nor does it open in the main editing area of CS5. I have to do the whole "File > Open> Browse for my image" thing. I have not changed any settings. I'm very frustrated. Please help.

Sounds like a very confusing situation. I'm confused as to why you are using ACR if you have Lr. If you are cataloging your images in Lr, the prefered method is to do your RAW adjustments in Lr. ACR & Lr have the same RAW processor, just different interfaces. The Lr Develop Module effectively replaces ACR. And is integrated into the Lr database.
Only about 5% to 10% of my Lr images need further editing in Ps. Ps, not ACR. Lr is that powerful. When I want to edit an image in Ps, I select it in Lr, then hit Crtl+E. This opens a copy of the Raw image in Ps. Make changes, save. The new Psd is added automatically to your Lr catalog beside the original Raw. It's that simple. No Export function should be involved. When you right click on your image, you should select Edit In>Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS 5. Ctrl+E is the shortcut for this.

Can't help you with the above, but I would suggest you take a look at some tutorials on the best practices for the using Lr & Ps together. I'm pretty sure you will see there is a better way than whatever you were doing. And your issue will become moot.

Problem exporting from FCP using compressor

Out of the blue - I'm getting batch failures trying to export from FCP for use in a DVD. Immediately after selecting compressor for export, I get an error reading "That file already exists", and a new tab appears in the media browser with a lengthy character string. Compressor opens fine, and I select Best Quality 4:3 encoding for video and aiff48 for audio. When the batch is submitted - it promptly fails and blames FCP for generating an error.
Did all kinds of restarts and work arounds to no avail. The promising news is that this error seems to occur only when exporting from FCP through Compressor.
My work-around is to export a QT movie of the piece, quit FCP, launch Compressor, and then import the QT for batching.

Hi:
How long is your movie?
The best workflow is FCP > Compressor > DVDSP.
You can encode your timeline directly to get MPEG2 video and Dolby 2 (AC3) audio files. Then import those in DVDSP and author your DVD.
Using Compressor you control the full encoding process. You can test with small parts of your movie (those where you got problems with iDVD) and find the best encoding options fopr your footage.
Of course the DVDSP learning curve is longer than iDVD but once you learned ir you probably never go back. Like iMovie and FCP.
To give you detailed info about what encoding settings to use you must post some info about your FCP project.

I'm having problem with exporting video from premiere pro cc 2014

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I'm having problem with exporting video.
When I click Export and media, the window for exporting appears and it starts exporting video.
But after a few minutes, it looks like it has completed exporting video and says there's a bug in exporting.
It literally says it has a problem with compiling, but I don't know what the real problem is.
I tried many things like restarting computer and Premire Pro but it's no use.
But it works when I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 for exporting video.
If anyone knows any possibilities about why this problem happens, please let me know.

I'm having a similar issue. When I go to export my project, I add it to the render queue, set it up with the h.264 settings that I've used with countless past versions of the program, and then hit render. Randomly, at some point in the process, the render just stops and the ETA just keeps climbing. I actually had to save an XMF file of the CC 2014 project and bring it into the previous CC version of Premiere just to finish it. Even a clean re-install of CC 2014 doesn't work.

Problem with exporting a report to excel vial citrix server

Hi,
We are encountering a problem with exporting a report to excel through ALV local file icon.A spread sheet is downloading only one row (From header) instead of many rows from the ALV output .
Above is working fine for the GUI installed on my PC, but not throgh the Citrix server.
Can any body have idea on above mentined?

I understand that you're trying to download the file to a local computer through Citrix. In this case you need autorizations in Citrix for your user ( CItrix user)

Problem with Exporting Data to Excel

Hi Everyone,
I have problem with exporting the data to a excel file. I am using a XP
system in German which uses comma "," as the decimal point , and I also set
"Use localized decimal point*" under the FronPanel Options to be true. But
the exported excel file can not recognize (or just ignore) the comma for a
whole column (flow rate), for examle "1,234" (1.234 in non-german system)
would be 1234. But if I open its text file where the data came
from by calling Excel directly, there will be no problem. Is this a bug of
LabVIEW, or I forget some settings?

Sound familiar; here in The Netherlands we have the same problem. That is why we use the English versions for XP and Office.
I don’t quite understand how you interface to Excel. Directly with ActiveX or through a CSV file.
Can you explain a bit more ?

Export from FCP5

Will anyone share their settings for the best (highest quality) settings for export from FCP5? I have had, what I would call, less than satisfactory results using Compressor 2. I know the MPEG encoder will have a significant impact on the quality of the final DVD. I am trying to output the highest quality so I can test different encoders. Also, would there be any difference to export an uncompressed AVI as opposed to Quicktime? I have ProCoder 2 on my PC and would like to test it as well. Thanks for your help.

To export your DV project so there is no loss in quality, simply go to the File Menu and select EXPORT>QUICKTIME MOVIE. Not Quicktime Conversion, fot this will compress the footage. Make sure the settings match your timeline settings, make it self contained and you are set.

Windows 8.1 Problem with games from windows store.

I've got a problem with games from windows store. The installation is going well without any problems, however when I try to open it it's loading and then it turns off. The same problem happens when I try to use Games for Windows. I've use a sfc scan and
it shows some errors but unfortunately it cannot fix them. Should I share the CBS log or find the solution somewhere else? I hope you help, best regards.

According to my experience, the problem like store game app open failed probably caused by hardware driver. such as Audio and Graphic driver. So, first of all, please try to reinstall these two driver to fix this problem for test.
In addition, for SFC scan failed problem, it can be caused by many reasons, I would suggest you use another command to fix your system for test.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Also you can test SFC command in Windows 8.1 safe mode.
Thirdly, if problem persists, please check Event Viewer, generally speaking, it would record the app open failed events.
