By the way, alcohol based hand sanitisers work too.
Don't overapply it in one go though. You'll have to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
One final tip, after its dried, I'd recommend you to leave your iPhone's home button facing a laptop's vent just to bake it a little drier.

I have noticed two interesting problems with my iPhone 4. I am not sure if it is in conjunction with the upgrade to the iOS 4.1 software, but I did not notice the problem prior to this. Both of these problems are very odd and are hit or miss. I have tried restoring and the problem is still present. Also, since both problems have presented at the same time, that is why I am starting to believe it is not hardware...
Problem 1: The home button has become considerably unresponsive. This is not all the time, but it does happen a lot. Sometimes it won't work for about 5-8 clicks and I have to use the power button to access the phone.
Problem 2: When composing a new text message the cursor would always default into the "To:" section of the app which allows you to easily type what contact you are trying to message. However, I am having the issue now occasionally when I am in the messages app and select to compose a new text message that the cursor now defaults into the chat box (where you type your actual message). This is very annoying and I know that this is not the intended behavior of this.
Please let me know if anyone has experienced similar issues and can provide me with some feedback.

I have tried restoring and the problem is still present.
You restored from your iPhone's backup, or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
If whatever software problem is causing this is included with your iPhone's backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.
Try restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup to see if this makes any difference. If not, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem.

Hey! I just read something about it on a post by iPhone 4S Stuck at boot showing [NAND] ? at the end of the second page..... It is a lot of work by it depends on you if you want to try.... at the end if not working as varjak paw quoted you may have to replace it...... but don't give up!!!!

Until you have it fixed you can go to settings, general, accessibility, assistive touch and turn it on. Then you will be able to use your iphone without using your home button.

Problems with Home button, anyone else experiencing this?

Okay so over the last few days, my home button seems to be playing up but in a weird way.
If I press the sleep button then the home button to reactivate the screen, I have no problems what so ever. However if the phone auto-sleeps and I go to use the home button to reactivate then I have to press the home button between 5 and 10 times to get it to wake up! (**** lazy phone lol)
Was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this?
My only problem is, I can't take it back to the apple store, it was bought back from Australia and is factory unlocked, so what do i do?

I think the phone just glitched up completely.
It was no longer picking up my wifi, turned the phone off then back on, picking up wifi and home button works as it should.

If the new phone has already been setup, make sure the phone and iTunes are both set to the same account.
You might also have to authorize this computer for the new device under the store menu.

Do you have an active data connection (wifi or cellular)? Have you tried resetting the phone by pressing and holding the Home and power buttons until the apple appears (this is different than just turning it off and back on).

Perform a hard reboot
Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on.

JSB Xtreme Audio Notebook optical out problem with Home TheaterSystem-HELP!, I have this sound card connected?(optical OUT) ?to my home?theater system's digital IN ?through the recommended /8in. optical miniplug-to-optical SPDIF cable. Theater system is set correctly to Digital-In mode. I have no sound!
The cable is a Velocity Toslink-to-Optical Mini Plug digital cable. I don't see any settings in the Creative Console Launcher. The notebook is a Dell XPS M730 (Vista 32).
I have a PS3, DirecTV, and the SB Xtreme Audio Notebook cable on a hub switch that connects to the system's?one Optical IN. The PS3 and DirecTV sound perfect!
The sound card works fine with standard PC speakers. I'm at a loss as?to what to try next. I set this whole system up myself, so I'm pretty good at working out the kinks, except this one!

OK. I just went to Control Panel - Sound - Playback - Digital Output Device (SB Xtreme Audio Notebook) - Properties - Advanced. I experimented with different sample rates and bit depths. Clicked the test button and lo and behold - sound from the HTS! I've tried iTunes, PowerDVD (configured to digital output) and YouTube - no sound! Am I missing something really obvious?
HA! Just backed out to Playback and selected Digital Output Device (SPDIF) and set as Default. Sound is emunating from HTS! Well, that mystery is solved! Who knew.
Thanks anyway! Any comments or advice will still be appreciated.

I have some problem with home sharing

I have some problem with home sharing. I have iPad, iPhone, MacMini, MacBook and Apple Tv. Five items. I can't add other items to home sharing, like iPhones and pc of my sons, and my wife's pc. More than home (Family) sharing it becomes Single sharing. Is there any solution?

i have a problem with rollover button in the menus when i upload my site to the hosting server. When i preview in browser with Dreamweaver before upload , there are no problems.

You have not uploaded the images on the server which is why rollover is not working. When we put the url - http://modano.1gb.bg/button4a.gif in browser it takes the user to the home page of the hosting company. I think you need to check to make sure that the images are uploaded properly.
