Problems with Html in Report in different browsers

Hi all!
I4m doin4a Sql query Report with it will be used as a menu with linked option with htp.anchor and in the display html options I use html to create an style that shows the lines in white and not underlined, it works ok, but only in Iexplorer, in Netscape is shows me not underlined, but colored blue
I4m going insane
Any help will be appreciated, (better as faster as possible ;P )

It seems like this problem is specific to the "Narrative View". If I try the following in the "Static View" it works like expected;

In the "Narrative View" I did not get it to work yet.

Dear All ,
I am facing a problem with HTML Viewer . My senario is as follows :
1. I have created one HTML page . On that page there are 4 Images
2. I imported that HTML page in SAP with the help of transaction SMW0
3. I Called that HTML page in my ABAP program using the method "load_html_document" of class cl_gui_html_viewer
4. This is happening perfectly ok on the machine on which all this developement was done.
But the issue is when I execute my ABAP program on a different machine , those Images on that HTML page are not displaying.
Can you please guide me how to remove that machine dependancy?

Please check if the image is properly imported properly. Also check if there is any option which you might have forgotten while imported like dependeency.

Problem with storing and retriving a different langauge font in mysql

hi,
i have problem with storing and retriving a different character set in
mysql database ( for example storing kannada font text in database)
it simply store what ever typed in JTextField in database in the
formate ??????????? and it showing ???????? .
please what can i do this problem.

MySQL does not know about what type of Font you use or store. that is applicatioon specific. All it knows is the character set that you are storing and the data type and data. THere are something you should know when working with database and Java:
1. make sure you know what character set is used for the database table.
2. make sure you know what character set is used by Java (default to UTF-8 ..
sort off - there are few character that it cannot save). You can enforce the
character set being sent to the database by the String's getBytes(String charsetName) method.
3. make sure the application you use to view the table use the correct character set
if it use a different character set, then any character that it does not recogized
will be replaced with a quetion mark '?'....eventhough the data is correct.

Problem with exporting a report to excel vial citrix server

Hi,
We are encountering a problem with exporting a report to excel through ALV local file icon.A spread sheet is downloading only one row (From header) instead of many rows from the ALV output .
Above is working fine for the GUI installed on my PC, but not throgh the Citrix server.
Can any body have idea on above mentined?

I understand that you're trying to download the file to a local computer through Citrix. In this case you need autorizations in Citrix for your user ( CItrix user)

Problem with printing some report

we have some problems with printing some reports.
the problem is when printing a report the computer processes stoped
and i should restart the computer a gain to print the report for first time and
then in the second time i have same problem.

This should help you determine if it is a printer problem or whether you should look into another area.
Also, you don't mention which version of reports, what command line options your using, the computer
configuration your using whether it is a network printer or local printer connected to the machine. Support
will need this information to help determine where your problem lies.

1) You are using CR XI (I am not sure if release 1 or release 2)
2) you are using .NET 2005
3) you are trying to change the server name, but the report keeps giving you data from the original server
Please answer the following:
1) Are you using CR XI release 1 or release 2?
2) Can you change to the new server, using the Crystal Reports Designer?
3) Can you duplicate the issue on your development computer?
4) What Crystal Reports service pack are you on?
5) Are you connecting to the database using OLE DB?

Problems with html content in box

Hi! I have a problem with html content. For example photoswipe. If I import the folder with the index.html of photoswipe as an article all works fine. If I link it trough the folio overlay creator/webcontent) into a box in indesign dps, it stays empty. Seems like it doesnt find the images/paths??

This sounds familiar. PhotoSwipe doesn't seem to like working in a web content overlay unless the JavaScript and other source files are uploaded within HTMLResources. This means editing your local HTML file so that paths to the JavaScript, images and CSS files begin by pointing to HTMLResources virtual folder (../../../HTMLResources/) before their subfolder and filenames. It's worth a try.

Discover group problem with cross tab report

Hi, I'm working on a cross tab report in discoverer 4i and I'm having a problem with two of the colums. I'm doing a count on one field but because they are called something different they are being shown as two seperate columns rather than 1.
I have one called 101 -AVG and another called 101-AVG. My condition pulls every result back that starts with 101 in the table. So because in the table the values are different it breaks the count into totals for 101 -AVG and 101-AVG.
Is there some way I can group these results together into one field?

Problem with character set - Reports 11.1.1.4

Hi!
I have a problem with Oracle Reports 11g regarding character set configuration. The default character set WE8ISO8859P1 works, so PDF reports have a regular display except for Eastern European (EE) letters which are replaced by "¿" sign.
So, when I set any other character set in reports.sh, which would be a normal step to get EE letters, I'm always getting Greek Alphabet in PDF reports. Why Greek Alphabet?
The character sets I tried to use are: EE8ISO8859P2, UTF8 and AL32UTF8.
I changed uifont.ali and included PDF Subset with all four Arial font variants and, of course, I placed all fonts in fonts folder which is pointed by REPORTS_FONT_DIRECTORY.
In Reports Builder everything works fine, but when I have to deploy the report to the Reports Services, the problem occurs.
Also, when I've tried to execute PDF report using In-Process Reports Server (rep_wls_reports_hostnameasinst1) instead of AS Instance Reports Server (RptSvr_hostnameasinst1, which is a regular server), I'm getting Greek Alphabet in PDF reports even if the default character set is WE8ISO8859P1 in reports.sh. What is wrong with it? Where is Greek Alphabet configured?
The production environment is 64-bit Oracle Linux 5.6 with Weblogic 10.3.4 and Forms&Reports 11.1.1.4. Forms works fine with character set EE8ISO8859P2 defined in default.env file.

Doc 300416.1 was very useful but Note 356221.1 - A Practical Methodology on Porting Reports from Windows to Unix with Different Font is actually crucial for configuring Reports on Linux.
Also, there is a bug in 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.4, which can be fixed using the patch ( Note 1138405.1 - PDF Reports With Font Subsetting Raises Error "Bad /Bbox" on 64-Bit Linux ).

Problem with guided navigation - Reports not showing up

Hi All,
We have a dashboard page that has a number of sections based on guided navigation. The problem is that the reports in the sections do not show up even when there are results for the guiding reports unless the page is refreshed. However, the section borders are showing up. Is there any solution for this problem?

As I mentioned earlier i have created 2 reports, but your case is some thing different and you are using the same report for condition also and in the section also.
What we have done is , suppose we want a report in a section to be displayed when my *# Service requests* >20 then
We have created a report with *# Service Requests* with filter condition greater than 20. which we will to define the condition.
and another separate report we to put in the section will be created.
Just try this, not sure is this going to help you.

Problems with processing files uploaded from Safari browsers

I have a jsp that allows users to upload files via a secure form and the standard html <input type=”file” … > tag.
For complex reasons I need to get the contents of the HttpServletRequest into a character array. Basically my code looks like this:

By way of comparison, when the transaction is successful, the process takes less than 1 second.

This problem occurs regardless of file size and even if Safari is told to report itself as firefox. This problem has not once occurred with any of IE 5,6 or 7 or Firefox 1.* and 2.*
I have not been able to test this with Safari 3 Beta for Mac or Windows.

Client is Mac OS-X 10.4.10 with Safari: 2.0.4
Server is Websphere 5.1

Since a few hours, I have the same problem like you. I uninstalled Firefox, because I thought it was a problem with it, but then i started Safari to redownload Firefox and guess what happened.. nothing. I can't download anything. don't know why. does anyone know whats wrong??

Problem with HTML in a read only textarea item

I'm working on a messaging system for our site. For the body of the message, we use a standard textarea item. However, if we come to the messaging page from a certain page in our system, then we pre-load the textarea item, and make it read only. The only problem with this is that there are HTML tags in the body that we try to pre-load. This is causing problems because they aren't being interpreted as tags, but are being displayed as text. If I make the textarea editable, then everything looks fine, it's just when I set the area to be read only that it doesn't work. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!

Not always. A user is allowed to edit that area in most circumstances except for when the user arrives at the page coming from 1 page in particular. In this case, then the field is read-only. At all other times though, it is editable.
As a workaround, whenever I know I'm coming from this page, I set a variable, and if the variable is set, then I use a Display Only item and then hide the Textarea. If the variable is not set, then I hide my Display Only item and show the Textarea. Not very elegant, but it works.

Problem with Result Analysis report (KKAK)

Hello Experts,
I am facing problem with T-code KKAK, when I am executing this transaction (Results Analysis (RA) on sales orders creates the data for posting to the GL, depending on the sales order (i.e. WIP or COS) ) system is displaying/calculating for all sales order which are already completed (fully shipped and billed), this report displaying in 300 to 400 pages.
My requirement is .. is it possible to display only sales orders which are no completed. This will help alot.

Hi,
in the selection screen of KKAK in "Output options" there is a flag "display closed items".
Uncheck this and ensure that all completely processed orders have status closed (CLSD).
Thus they will not be reported anymore.

Anwyay, i'm getting an error message while trying to run the "Leak suspect" report. Indeed i generated a heapdump on my Sandbox Netweaver server then i retrieved it to my PC. Sorry for not updating the question. We (the tool developers) are aware of the problem and we have fixed it already (internally). However we still have to prepare the proper downloadables for the SDN site and change the content available at SDN.
About using onother tool - you probably don't need to: one can still use the tool without the NW extensions (just take it from http://www.eclipse.org/mat/).
The Leak Suspects report is part of the open-source tool (see http://dev.eclipse.org/blogs/memoryanalyzer/2008/05/27/automated-heap-dump-analysis-finding-memory-leaks-with-one-click/).
Without the NW Extensions one won't see the application names extracted out of classloaders, there will be no suggestions for CSN components, and some other SAP specific queries will be missing. Nevertheless it should be still possible to perform memory analysis.
I hope this helps to some extent for the moment.

Problem with running bitmap report in Oracle 6i

I am running a report from a form using run_product in client/server enviroment. And I use the same code in all forms that run reports. In test enviroment, everything works normally. But in customer enviroment there is weird behaviour. Some reports need a lot of time to be executed, and when they are finally finished, report previewer is not maximized as it is in test enviroment. And more important problem is that one report doesn't execute at all. Report background engine is started but report doesn't come out at all.

Hello,
When you put a block on a "new stacked canvas" that canvas is generated as a popup canvas. If that popup overlaps with some other generated items (for instance: items in master block) Forms will not show it.
You can try showing that popup canvas programatically with Show_View('canvas_name') in When-New-Form-Instance and see what happens.

P.S. Why do you have to put detail block on a popup canvas? Why don't you simply put it on a "same content canvas"?
