Hi, I'm from Mexico, yesterday I bougth my iPhone 4s, it had iOS 5.0 and I conected my iPhone to my pc to download the iOS 5.1.1, but when I install the iOS the pc and the iPhone said, " you're not available to use this vertion, you have to be registered as a developer on developer.apple.com/... " and always when I conecte my iPhone to the pc is the same, and I can't use my new iPhone. I'm verry sad.
What can I do? Please, help me. Thanks

Sounds like the device has beta software on it or is somehow linked to a developer account.
Restore the device as new or return it to whomever you purchased it from and request your money back.

Problems with brand new iPhone

Good morning - I was hoping someone could assist me with the following problems I'm having with my new iPhone (purchased last night). The software is version 2.1 (most up-to-date).
I'm having the following problems:
1. Unable to rearrange apps - if I hold down the home key, nothing happens. I've held it for 30 seconds and still nothing. I've powered down/powered up the iphone and tried again to no avail. Any suggestions?
2. I am unable to "reset" my iphone by holding down the sleep/wake button. The phone will go to the red slider bar to power down, but if I keep holding the sleep/wake I never get the "apple" and a reset of the phone.
3. If I go to my contacts list and click on a name, there is no "call" button?
4. How do I turn off the keystroke sound in text messaging (and keep the ringer at full)?

1. Don't hold the Home button. Hold down on the app itself. All the apps should start wiggling after a few seconds. Once they start wiggling, you can rearrange and delete the apps (except you can't delete the ones that come with the phone). Once you are done rearranging, hit the Home button to stop them from wiggling.
3. When you click on a name, you should see that person's phone number(s). Click on a phone number and the phone will dial that number.
4. Settings --> Sounds --> At the very bottom of the list is keyboard clicks. Turn it off.

Charging Problems with Brand New iPhone 4S

My iPhone 4S was finally shipped today and I opened it up and turned it on with no problems. However, when I went to go charge it as it was about 50% battery life using a wall outlet and the given power source with the 4S, the iPhone would not charge. Battery icon in top right hand screen would not show lightning bolt to even show there was a connection. I tried using my USB cable from my iPod Touch and the same scenario occured. My next solution was to use a different outlet, and about 7 outlets later and running around the house the same conclusion occured.
I know theres not a problem with either of the USB cables because when I connect them from my iPhone to my laptop, the phone charges. The phone only charges in outlets when I apply a strong force of the USB cord into the given power source connected to the wall outlet.
Should I just simply bring this wall power source charger back to my Verizon Wireless store or an Apple store for an exchange of chargers or for them to see if If gone mad?

It does sound like you have a bad power adapter. I would take it back to a Verizon store if you ordered it through Verizon or if you ordered it from Apple, take it to your local Apple store.

Problems with my new iPhone 5 (sleep/wake button)

I bought my iPhone 5 about 3 weeks ago but unfortunately I am having problems that I was not expecting from apple. My sleep/wake button sometimes works perfectly and sometimes I need to press the button 10 times to work. I called apple support and they said to restore my phone and don't do the backup. I did what he asked and two days after, the same problem happened again. This Saturday, I went to apple store (where is 2 h away from my home) and changed to a brand new phone. Right now my brand new phone, less than 24 h usage, had the same problem as my previous iPhone. I really do not know what to do, I don't know if this is a software or hardware problem and I hope someone could help me.

I was reading some reviews about this specifically problem and some guys said that this is a software problem as long I can hear the button. That makes sense because as you said having the same problem in two devices is rare. I am also testing the case, right now there is no case and till now nothing wrong. At the end of the day I will share what happened

New problem with my new iPhone !!!

Hi , i just opened a 3 new Iphones the strange thing that i cannot hear anything if i called someone but if i open the speaker and close it again the sound will come normally from the speaker and if i connect my earphone the same problem happening the sound will come normally and if i receive a call it will work nice !!
i tried to make plug and unplug the earphone but it did not work
any experience ? BTW am far away from US thats why i cannot send my cell phone to workshop please advice

well i cant say for sure but it does seem like the iphone thinks the headphones are in when they are not. Do a reset/ Hold the home+sleep button on top until it goes past the screen where you swipe to turn it off. Eventually the screen will turn off and the apple icon will show up. This is diffrent from just powering the phone off. Hope it helps solve the problem!!

Two problems with my New iPhone 4s

ON my recent iPhone 4s I have two problems faced -
1. Battery : The battery seems to be weired. It doesnt last long is one but it also makes the phone crash. I was using the phone normally and there was no sign of battery drained out. I open the camera and suddenly the phone crashed. I left it as is because nothing was working and after some 5 hours it showed that I need to plug in and recharge. I did that and it was normal post that.
2. Sync : I did the sync of iPhone on the same machine as that of my iPad. Two problems again - a) not all songs are getting synced. It left one genre completely out. b) Audiobooks are not synced at all. I have it all nicely synced on iPad but it doesnt show up on iPhone.
Has someone else faced the same problem? What is the resolution? Let me know.

If not, I would say it may have something to do with the vehicle and iphone 4S compatibility! Maybe a back-up and restore of the phone to put the phone back to "factory" settings as if the phone was brand new, and if it persists I would say it's a compatibility issue.

Problems with brand new IPhone's charging?!

Hi, I recently got the iphone5s, it is now only 2 months old! However I have recently been having some problems charging it, when I use the cable it seems really temperamental and will only charge depending on what angle the lead is at. I assumed it was the charger and so tired another and have also been using it with a portable charger. Both seemed fine at first but then these problems occurred again. When trying to connect it to my computer it becomes recognized and un-recognized very easily and I have to plug/un-plug the cable a few times (after turning it round) until I can get it to work. Sometimes it will work fine but then other times I think it has gone completely. Can you advice me on what may be causing these problems and whether I need to get a brand new lead or it is a fault with the charging port on my phone? Very frustrating please help!
P.S Didn't want to take it into the apple store as it very temperamental and could work for them and make me look very silly!

Would you rather risk looking silly or having an expensive iPhone that doesn't work? Let them examine it.

Problems with my new iPhone 5s : quick battery drainage & device getting too hot.

i just got a 64g Space Gray iPhone 5s yesterday and i noticed that the battery drainage was way too fast to be compatible with the longer battery life of iPhones. i have fully charged the battery three times in just 24hours even when i wasn't handling the phone much and i have tried to switch off any "applications" that might drain the battery. But then, why invest so much in a phone that you practically have to avoid using its functions??? The battery charge could suddenly jump from fully charged 100% to 93% in minutes then 65% in 45 - 60mins without doing any thing. It is so sad.
i also noticed that the body of the phone gets a little too hot for comfort, not the supposed warmth that might occur with use.
I don't know if i'm the only one experiencing this problem and i will appreciate your help as i bought this from a local store in my country and there is no APPLE STORE over here.

Apple do not sell the iPhone in Nigeria ,you have an iPhone purchased in bulk from another Country
The warranty and ANY support for the iPhone from Apple will only be available in the country where the iPhone was purchased ,where ever that is ....................
Take it back to the "local Store " it does not sound healthy
It may have been hacked to make it work in Nigeria with a local carrier

Problems with my new iphone 5s

i bought my iphone no more than two weeks ago. since then, the phone resets itself, then proceeds to turn blue. after this, it resets again. sometimes there is a yellow screen, and sometimes there is a striped screen. all of which do not allow me to do anything with my phone for a while. when it does turn on, the screen has a pulsating light and that continues for a couple of minutes. what do i do?

get it back to apple center for repairing or replacement and that is the solution.dont waste your time by doing yourself.

Anyone having problems with the new iphone update?

It keeps telling me to sign into my apple ID...so when i put my password in it just pops up asking again...then when im typing a text message another text message pops up instead of just going into my inbox...and now when i try and connect to wifi it wont let me...it keeps telling me the password is wrong when i know it isnt!! Any suggestions? I have reset the network settings and restarted the phone. Oh and it also wont shut down it just restarts itself. This all started when i updated to the 6 software.

Some small problems with my new 3G iPhone

Having some small problems with my new iPhone, nothing major, just annoying.
1. When I plug my iPhone in to charge/sync my Adobe photoshop keeps trying to download the photos on my iPhone, which causes an error message from Adobe that it can't download and it stops all syncing and removes my iPhone from iTunes. I have to unplug and reinsert USB cable and sometimes it works ok and sometimes I have to reinsert again. Also when charging, it will disconnect, reconnect and the samething all over again, photoshop trying to get photos and an error message.
2. Can't send e-mails via 3G? Only can get, have to connected to a WiFi to send e-mails, or is this normal?

When your iPhone includes photos in the Camera Roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer, and whichever app you have selected to import photos will automatically launch to import the photos. If you haven't imported these photos, it is a good idea to do so as with any other digital camera. I import the photos followed by deleting the photos from the iPhone after the import process is complete. If I want any of the imported photos available on my iPhone for viewing, I add the photos to an existing album that is selected to be transferred to my iPhone under the Photos tab for my iPhone sync preferences, or add the photos to a new album followed by selecting the album under the Photos tab followed by a sync.
If your iPhone's Camera Roll does not include any photos that have not been imported, Adobe Photoshop should not launch automatically when your iPhone is connected.
I know how to disable the selected application for photo import from launching automatically regardless with a Mac, but not with Windows.

Most ISPs block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by the ISP being used for your internet connection unless the SMTP server is authenticated. When connected to the internet via AT&T's cellular network, it is no different in this regard. AT&T's SMTP server is included and available by default for use with an email account that does not have an authenticated SMTP server when connected to the internet via AT&T's cellular network, but you probably won't be able to use this SMTP server for sending messages with the account when connected to the internet with your ISP via an available wi-fi network - especially if the email account is provided by your ISP.
I access two email accounts with the iPhone's mail client and both accounts have an authenticated SMTP server. I've never had any problems sending with either account regardless the ISP being used for an available wi-fi network, or when connected via AT&T's cellular network.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.
