Problems with ppc 10.4.11 & Logic Pro

Hey guys, hope someone here can help...
A few days ago I decided to clean re-install OS X 10.4 on my Mac Mini. Previous to this re-install Logic Pro was on the system and working fine so I re-installed the system and installed LP and now the app won't launch, it shows up in the dock a few seconds then disappears...
I read somewhere that I needed to update the system with the latest pro app support (or the latest one according to that version of Logic) so after hours of searching for the pro app support I finally got it installed but the app still won't launch.
Logic Express is also on the system so would this be causing a conflict? I'm not sure what's going on as it's exactly the same version of Logic that was on there before.
Any help would be appreciated as I was looking to use the Mini and Logic Pro on an upcoming recording project as it's a lot easier to move around than the G5!

OK, what you can do now is open up the Console application (in Applications/Utilities ), and find a Logic crash report. Copy the content (on the right) and post that here. There may be clues. No guarantees though...

A problem with channel strip outputs in Logic Pro 8

I have a Power Mac G5 2.3GHz dual core processor with 2GB memory, running LogicPro 8 connected to a MOTU 2408 Mk3. I originally assigned the outputs on the individual channel strips on my Logic default work page to the individual outputs on the MOTU, (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.,) as this is the optimum configuration for the amount of channels required for the recording I do. Checking theses settings recently though, I find the menu only gives the option to set outputs to 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 & 7-8? What has happened and how can I change them back?

Sounds like your channel strips are stereo and not mono.
Click on the little linked circle button (format button) in the bottom of the channel strip to set it's mode to MONO (single circle).
If you have effect plugins inserted on the channel strip make sure they are mono and not stereo. (Click and hold on the effect on the insert slot and choose the mono instance of the plugin from the plugin menu).

no not at all..it was just tested if it was being detected on a windows os..it did..i am doubting either it is a problem with the router or the macbook pro....but earlier it did connect well to a hp officejet pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer over a different network(at someone else's house)...

Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

The installer for Logic Pro 8 has a bug which keeps it from operating in Lion or Mt. Lion. Use the program Pacifist to install it.

I am having the exact same problem with the iMessage on both my MacBook pro and my iphone4. It either says the username/password is incorrect or it can not contact the server. Facetime and iCloud works just fine with the same apple id and password. Somebody please help, I am beyond frustrated!

Rewire with Ableton Live 8 and Logic Pro 9

Hi guys,
I'm really hoping that somebody can help me with (sorry) a Rewire problem...I am close to tearing my hair out.
I'm trying to Rewire Logic Pro 9 and Ableton Live 8. Before you ask I am using 32-bit Logic, and I am opening up Logic first, then Ableton but I can't seem to get the Ableton Live Rewire channels to appear in the Logic library.
Please help if you can, I'm going steadily insane. Such a waste of my time having to sort this rubbish out.

Did you run Live without Logic running to get Live to install the necessary Rewire bits and pieces?
You will then need to quit, Live, start Logic start Live.

PROBLEMS WITH INPUT (M-AUDIO AND LOGIC)

I cant seem to get an answer for this question?I have a powermac G5 2.3Ghz,im using an m-audio firewire 410,with logic pro 7.My previous system was a powerbook G4 older model 667Mgz,I was using logic 4.8.1 on os9 with the 410,and i didnt have this problem at all.My issue is no matter what i plug in to the 410's input my signal starts to clip even when the input knob is very low.I have tried bass,guitar,vocals etc.I cant figure it out.My 410 controls my signal before it get's to the digital domain,so i really dont know what to do,because if my signal is this hot before it gets to the G5,what can i do?

I plugged a normal electric guitar in the front panel of the 410,which is where i always plug my guitars in.If i turn down the input knob it doesn't clip or distort.But i have to turn the knob down almost all the way,same thing with my bass and both instruments dont have active electronics.The other thing i do is apply the pad button,then i could turn the knob up to atleast 10:00.Someone told me that the preamp's dont start to kick in,untill you have the input knob at around 2:00.Why didn't i have this issue with my older powerbook G4?I also updated the drivers on the 410,to the latest one.Funny,now when i try to hook up the 410 to my powerbook G4,it makes all these strange sounds,like the music is going through a crazy effects processor?Do you think updating the drivers did something?I didn't change anything on my old powerbook G4 at all,but like i said as soon as i hook up the 410,the exact same way i originally did,it plays music back in a strange way,almost like it is going through a filter.But when i hook it up to the G5,it goes back to normal?Im confused,any ideas?

M-Audio F/wire 410 conflicts with F/wire Powercore in Logic Pro on iMac G5

Got an M-Audio F/wire 410 connected with a F/wire Powercore to my iMac G5 I.8Mhz with 1GB of RAM. Problem is my Firewire Powercore will randomly get an error message and all Powercore software being used by Logic will suddenly drop out. Tried disconnecting the M-Audio Firewire 410 and using built in audio and didn't get the problem. Are there any settings in logic pro 7.1.1 I can change or is it simply a bandwidth problem due to there only being 1 firewire bus on an iMac? ANy help would be much appreciated!!!

I heard from a friend of a friend of those kinds of dropouts with a Powercore, but that's not very reliable info... have you checked other forums specifically for your hardware?

Please note this is a Surface Pro 3 problem as it works on a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 8.1.
This problem has been reported to Microsoft by me and I was told "the developers are working on it." That was six months ago. I see posts going back a year saying the problem was reported to Microsoft Support.
When will this be fixed?

you've had a couple of contacts with support.
If you provide case numbers, it would be helpful in escalating further. And more
specifically, it might help someone from Microsoft determine IF the issue has
been escalated. While Microsoft has been doing work on the wifi driver for
nearly the entire time since the SP3 was released, there is no information
anywhere as to whether this bug is known or not.
As you also know, I sent it in to the"right" people inside Microsoft and as you
also know, I did not get a response. (I'm an end user just like you even though
I'm a Community Moderator on the Surface Forum in Communities).

Some websites have an internal mute or volume setting. If that's not the issue, see below.

and confirm. Close the window. Then select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
          Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane.

With the notes you have posted i see that you are unable to get on to printer apps, web services and eprint, please follow the steps given in the link given below and check the wireless connection and it should resolve the issue.

Problem with enabling Web Services on LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw

I have a problem with enabling the HP Web Services. When I push the application button on the printer, the monitor shows "connecting..." and then nothing is happen or an error apear thet my device could not connect to servers. I can't print information sheet on web services panel to get the claim code and add my device in www.hpconnected.com . My device is connected to the internet with no problem by a wireless Dlink Router. I also changed my device IP from 192.168.1.11 to 192.168.1.55 manually, and I change Preferred DNS Address to 8.8.8.8 and Alternate DNS Address to 8.8.4.4 and nothings happen. I can see the menu but I can not enable the HP Web Services in there. no proxy. no firewall. I do not know what can I do for solveing this problem. Please help me.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are getting a connection error message when trying to enable the web services for your Laserjet Pro M172fw printer.
As you have already tried setting the manual IP address and manual DNS servers, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.
