Hi gio-vio!
It seems like you are trying to view Safari in your picture. If this happens whenever you open Safari, you may find some helpful information in the following article:
Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230
If this is happening from the moment you boot into your user, then you may want to troubleshoot by attempting a Safe Boot:
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

If the issue still persists, you may need to ultimately reinstall OS X:

The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up.

I have two problems with my 2012 13” MacBook Pro.
    Gray screen shows at startup
    Randomly disconnects from network.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

First, open Terminal in your Utilities folder and paste this into the prompt line:
    sudo update_dyld_shared_cache
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed to the screen. Press RETURN again.
Next, boot the computer into Safe Mode.
    Next, do the following:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Is this the error you are getting when you are installing AIR 3.0?  Or is this the error you are getting after you've already installed AIR 3.0 and attempting to run AIR applications?  If it's the latter, which applications are you trying to run?  Can you please send us your logs so that we can investigate further?  Thanks!

  • My MacBook Pro will not load

My MacBook Pro will not load.  I get the white screen with spinning rainbow for several minutes. Once I get the log-in screen it takes several more minutes of the galaxy screen before anything happens. When I am finally able to click the mouse on an application, I get the spinning thing again and nothing loads. The only thing I can do is turn the computer off by holding down the power button.

You might have an older model that came with disks. In that case, put the disk in and boot while holding down the C key. Run Disk Utility from there.

InDesign CS6 is not optimized for retina displays. You’ll need to move to Creative Cloud for retina compatibility.

You have to do more than just check.  If flash player is out dated, you must download & install.

I'd say your sister messed up and your iPod is toasted.
Think about it...  She plugged it in to another computer, she doesn't remember what she did (yeah, right), and now your iPod is not being recognized by your computer...
Also take into consideration how old is your sister, and how much does she know about electronics?

  • Hi, I have problem with starting up my macbook pro, the gray screen coming and the circle still turning

    hi
Could u please help me with the problem that I have with starting up my macbook pro?

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.

If you are worried about sensitive data being accessed when you send in a computer for repair, you should probably at least have it in an encrypted disc image. You should also have everything backed up on an external drive, just in case they end up wiping your drive while troubleshooting.
Do you have a firewire external drive? If so, you can use a cloning program like Super Duper to create a bootable clone of your internal hard drive. If you are really worried about your data, you can then erase the internal drive and just reinstall the OS from your original discs. Then when you get your Mac back, you can just re-clone to the internal drive. Or you can restore from Time Machine if you are using Time Machine for backups.
It is always good practice to not make it too easy for someone to access your sensitive data on a computer. And to keep a current backup.
    Good luck!

  • Two problems with my Early 2011 MacBook Pro 15inch, 2.0Ghz

    Hi guys,
so I got my old 2009 MBP replaced by a new Early 2011 one.
First problem with the new machine had to do with our alltime favorite: Flash player (at least I guess it had something to do with it)! I used the 10.3 beta which has its own tile in the sys preferences. When I used Firefox 4.0, Firefox caused the MBP to freeze... I had to shut down via power button. So I first tried to deinstall Flash and Firefox and reinstall the regular (not beta) version of Flash and Firefox. I had also all updates for Mac OS X installed, but no change... several complete system freezes later I decided to reinstall the whole OS. Since the reinstall I wasn't confronted with total system freezes anymore, but Firefox still hangs up sometimes and shows me the colored ball... but it gets back to normal after approx. 30 sec. Has anyone else experienced the same probs?
Now the second problem: Since the reinstall of the OS, my Airport always looses the connection to my WIFI. I use the computer and after a while I go away, and when I come back... no connection annymore.  When I wait until it finds my network again, it won't connect automatically and I have to reenter my networkkey. So I started to deactivate and reactivate Airport in these cases via the menubar entry and the it works again. But even if you stream a Flash video it looses the connection and it is driving me crazy right now.
I was so happy to get one of the new MBPs but now... I'm actually a bit annoyed. Firefox and Flash performance is pretty bad (probably software issue, but how do I know)... and a moody Airport... any suggestions?
    thanks in advance...
    seb

Does the laptop feel hot (if you know where the fans blow out, feel there, or around there on the casing)?
If so, then thats the reason why its freezing. And thats also usually because the fans aren't going fast enough, or doing its job well enough. Try downloading a fan speed monitor such as iStat. The fans max at 6,000 RPM i believe. And if its hot, and not around that, then thats a problem . For some reason, Flash heats up MacBook Pro's a lot, and it really bothers me.
Im a gamer, and cant play games either on it. Yet... i still love my MacBook Pro.

  • Very strange problem with wikipedia on my Macbook Pro 15"

I have a Macbook Pro that I bought in June 2010, 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 4 GB memory, Snow Leopard OSX (of which all may not be relevent) but recently I've been having possibly the WEIRDEST issue with wikipedia.  I just go to the site, and a split second after it loads the main page, part of it becomes blue almost like it's highlighted.  You may think this is just me being stupid and highlighting text but believe me I've tried to deselect and it isn't any use...I don't even think it's highlighting the page at all.  Frankly, I don't even know what it is.  here's a screenshot:
    http://s1165.photobucket.com/albums/q597/wmblair/?action=view&current=Screenshot 2012-04-16at44957PM.png
I highlighted part of the body of the article to show that it's something weird with wikipedia and not just me selecting something...I mean, at least one other person must've had this problem at some point, RIGHT?  It really looks like I'm highlighting it but it isn't possible to highlight those two specific parts of the article at the same time.  Hopefully I don't sound crazy, but this has been a puzzling mystery for me for weeks now.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on what could've happened?  Obviously it didn't use to be like this.
    Thanks,
    Will

I cannot find a way to select two different chucks of text in safari, chrome, opera or omniweb.  In firefox however, I can use the command key to select additional text.  So that implies its a function of the browser implementation.

  • Problem with Leopard on a Macbook pro

I'm posting this for my fiance as it's his computer that's acting up and he can't get here himself. The problem goes as this: He went to boot up his macbook pro, which is running leopard and also has windows installed. When he tried to boot up into the Leopard side, it started normally, got to the grey screen, the swirly goes away, it starts to go to the login, but login never loads, it just goes black. Also, the keyboard lights are not on, but if he hits capslock, the key lights up. He's able to boot up into the windows side with no problem aside from the as-yet-unworking internet connection. Any idea what may have happened or how to fix it?

Make sure all these updaters are installed: find at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ although he should have installed these updaters before installing any other major software.
