Problems with text using Photoshop CC on Windows 8.1

I am using Photoshop CC on Windows 8.1. I get flickering on the screen as described by others. My main problem, however, is that when I try to use the text tool the layer goes completely black and I cannot see what I am typing or edit the text. I have tried updating my video card driver and my monitor driver. I have deleted the font cache file, I have tried using Photoshop without plug ins (I use Nic plug ins). The only thing that has worked is resetting the preferences by holding down alt+control+shift keys when starting photoshop. This allows me to enter text normally on one photograph and one only. Once I have completed that first photograph and load another I get the black layer. I desperately need help. If this continues I will have to cancel my membership as I was much better off using my Photoshop Elements 11 disc.
Any help will be very gratefully appreciated...............help seems to be very difficult to come by Adobe you make it very difficult for your customers!

Ok,I can appreciate that I may not have given enough information. You state that without proper system information nobody can help, but I need to know what information is needed. You also state that I should simply turn off hardware acceleration in the perfs. What does that mean? How do I do that? I have tried changing the GPU Drawing Mode to basic and it didn't work. Is this what you mean? You may be assuming a level of knowledge I do not have. From research I have done this seems to be a problem with windows 8.1 that Adobe have been aware of for about a year. I have followed all the online advice I have been able to find but nothing seems to be working.

First, try turning off hardware acceleration - under "Performance" in the preferences uncheck "Use Graphics Processor".
If that helps, you have found the culprit: the Intel HD chipset.
Since you mention you do have the latest drivers, it might not be a driver problem. You may have to increase the amount of ram that is set aside for the Graphics in your BIOS.
However, Intel HD graphics are notoriously bad for OpenGL applications, and Photoshop does use OpenGL when you turn on that option in the performance tab.

Hello, When I type a text, nothing appears on the page or image. But I wrote the text on the layer. I read all the topic and saw several sitehelp, but nothing to make it still does not work.I use photoshop 9 native of my PC packard bel.

Are you using a very large image. Sometimes the text is there but is hardly visible on a high resolution photo. Try increasing the font size. The dropdown menu shows a maximum size of 72 but you can type any value manually into the box. Try 100 or 150 and see if that works.

Problem with text in photoshop elements 7

I am trying to make a recipe book from odd fun food on-line. Instead of typing all of the text in below the pictures of the food, I tried to copy it from the website and paste it onto photoshop 7. I selected "new" and then tried to paste, the option wasn't there. I then went back to the website and saved the text to my documents. I named it "pop". It was saved as "pop.txt". I went back to photoshop and tried to open the file. An error message appeared stating that "the file could not be opened because it is the wrong type of file". I then went back to the website and copied the text once again and pasted it onto Microsoft Works Word Processor. I saved it on there and it was saved as a ".wps" file. Once again photoshop could not open it because "it was the wrong type of file". All I want to to is to be able to copy text or a picture from a site or Word or whatever and then be able to paste it onto Photoshop Elements 7. Is this possible? If so, please tell me how. If not, please give me another alternative. I would appreciate it so very much! I have been trying to do this for 4 days now! Losing patience!!! Thank you!

You can use the type tool in photoshop elements 7.
1. copy your text as you did before. (i copied some your post)
2. In pse7, using the picture you want to paste the text in, select horizontal type tool.
3. Click on the image where you want your text (you can move the txt after you paste)
4. After you click on the image with the type tool, the cursor will blink.
Just right click and select paste.
5. Now your text is pasted into a editable type layer, which can be changed just like
any other type layer.

I don't know of a way to change the "problem" of the buttons not being lit when it's not dark. That's designed to not chew up battery life unnecessarily.
As far as the back space erasing everything you wrote, which app are you using? I have Swiftkey X keyboard and when I backspace it doesn't delete everything.

ID CS5: Problem with Text Wrap being Forgetful :(

I am having a problem with text wrap. Whenever I open this INDD file I am working on now, some of the images shift from having what I call "actual" text wrap to having "false" text wrap. "Actual" text wrap *actually* wraps the text around the image as it is supposed to; "false" text wrap says that "Wrap Around Bounding Box" is applied to the image yet no text is wrapped. After opening the file, making sure to unset and reset the text wrap on each offending image to show an "actual" text wrap WITHOUT changing layer order, saving the file, closing, and reopening, some images have "false" text wrap again! This is a 77 page document with images on every page.
Another occurrence is if I largely change the flowed text. If I must remove a paragraph on page 7, for example, then the "actual" text wrapped images on page 10, 12, and 18 change to "false" text wrapped images and I have to reset the text wrap on each image. There are often images in between offending ones that DO NOT change, but it doesn't seem to be the same ones each time. So once image A, C, and D will change to "false" text wrap, while B, E, and F are fine; the next time, A, B, and F are wrong and the others are fine. This is driving me crazy as I have never in 8 years of using InDesign encountered a problem using Text Wrap. Please note:
Ignore Text Wrap IS NOT selected.
The text box IS below the images.
The copy is flowed throughout the document.
Preferences>Composition>"Text Wrap Only Affects Text Beneath Selected"" DOES NOT FIX IT.
"Wrap around bounding box" IS showing as selected for the image/images.
There is NO CLIPPING PATH / PHOTOSHOP PATH / ALPHA PATH on these images.
The images / text box order is not changed between being correct and being incorrect.
Anyone else with this trouble? And, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks,

I am having problems writing text on Photoshop CC - the image goes black.

Windows 8? Update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website. If you cannot update your driver (like on a locked laptop machine), then set the GPU drawing mode in Photoshop to "Basic" and relaunch the app.

Solved: InDesign CC: Problems with text in text box: text flows around invisible object

I just upgraded from CS4 to CC. I have two problems with text in some text boxes:
The text seems to flow around invisible object that I cannot find or delete. It's as if there is a photo or other object behind the text box; but when I press COMMAND-a to select all, I don't see any such object.
When I move this text box, the layout of the text within changes. For example, when the box is high on my spread, the text flows correctly within the box; but when I move it down, it flows around that hidden other object. For another example, when the box is low on the page, the text starts at the top of the box; but when I move the text box up, the text starts somewhere in the middle of the box.
I have checked margins of the text box and the paragraph options of the text paragraphs (margins, indents, alignments). They all look OK.
If I modify the text box, checking the box "Ignore text wrap", then the problem goes away; but then the text also will not flow around a real object that I want it to flow around.
Solution:
There were objects in a hidden layer on that one spread. It seems that in CS4 when you "select all" you would also select objects in hidden layers; but in CC it doesn't.

Solution Center problem with HP Office Jet J4550 and windows 7 (64bit)

I have a problem. I have the Solution Center and a HP Office Jet J4550 and windows 7 (64bit). When ever I open the solution center, the solution center says " HP office jet J4550 series disconnected" When I open HP document manager, I can access the printer. Additionally, when I run the HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.0, it sees the printer, no issues. I can print test pages. No issues. I downloaded the latest driver from the HP site (OJJ4500_Full_13, 299,359KB) Your insight is appreciated.

I have a similar problem with the J4580 and my new Windows 7 64-bit laptop. HP Solution Center says that the printer is disconnected. Furthermore, it can print some documents (short ones), but it was unable to print a 1-page 5MB pdf file. The printer truncated the page after printing just the top 10%. The printer is OK with my wife's Windows 7 32-bit laptop.
I've seen many other people complain about similar problems in this and other forums. Apparently the driver for J4500 printers is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. Can HP please provide an updated driver or patch?

Problem with Photomerge Exposure, Photoshop Elements 13?. Why does Photomerge Exposure not give me a finished DONE photo. If I open 2 photos, it will merge then, and when I press DONE I get a new photo file that I can save. However, if I open 3 photos, and go through the same process, the software analyzes the photos, I get a new image, BUT when I press DONE, the new image vanishes???? I can open the same 3 photos in Elements 8 and it works fine. any ideas please.

I, too, am having problems in version 11 with Photomerge Exposure. I can merge the 3 photos successfully with version 10. In version 11 when I click done, I am taken back to the Expert mode of the Editor but the merged photo in the photo bin is not accessible. When I first return to the editor, one of the original images (before merge) is selected. When I double/click on the merged photo it doesn't become the active image. In fact, any image I double click on momentarily becomes the active image and then jumps to another one.
The merged photo is visible in the photo bin but I can't select it.
I am running version 11 on my MacBook running OS 10.6.8

we are working on a student project and would like to create customers (debtors) in an SAP IDES system.
Using the ref-customer to copy from, and some personal-data below, we get the error message
'Internal error: External no.assignment for reference customer/customer'
We also tried with BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETINTNUMBER, and ACCOUNTGROUP ZINT (New Internet Customer, others won't work?). But CREATEFROMDATA1 takes no CustomerNo created this way, nor it wants to create one 'internal'?
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for your help,

Thanks for your pointer. Actually The customer's reference number i was providing in the PI_COPYREFERENCE structure was a sold-to party customer and it uses external customer number assignment. When i used "New Internet Customer" (that doesnt use external assignment by default) as customer's account group, the customer was created successfully and assigned customer number was returned.
I want to ask now how could we give a customer number in the BAPI as i am unable to find any such column in any of the tables. (Customer number is an "out" parameter so it can only return the number of created customer). Secondly, how to chnage the external assignment property of a particular account group (like sold-to party). i.e, how could we change the account group configurations through SAP GUI??

The ilustrator when opening files from a lack of memory of which I own already find it hard 11Gbram , Photoshop crashes inesperdamente and the Media Encoder is not converting the video in nnehuma the options requested .
Would like guidance , never had such problems with Adobe software . Today got a MacPro 2x2,2.66 Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon 11Gbram 240GB SSD .
