Problems with the iOS 5.1 version, HELP!

I just upgraded to the latest version - iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 4, but now the screen is freezing all the time, and the phone shuts down. Is this a problem with the new 5.1 version? What can I do to fix it?

Try to restore it... I'm hating this iOS 5.1, everything was working much better before it was released. I shouldn't have upgraded...

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

It sounds like you have an app that is incorrectly continuously using data and power... from normal use the phone should NOT be getting that warm... only constant video playing via data like Netflix for example would result in that...
I'd say that you should remove all apps in the recent app tray... tunr phone off... then once you power back on...
Hold BOTH home and sleep wake buttons together until you see a white apple symbol... then release both buttons...
This will ensure you have no apps running...
I've experienced a hang up with mail while out and about that has resulted in this on my iPhone as well... Once I performed these steps it was fixed... it seemed like it got stuck and that's what caused the warm phone and battery drain...
I notived that when it gets stuck (mail app that is) I will see the text connecting at the bottom and it never changes to "updated" like it should... this is my trigger that it's gotten stuck.
Have not really figured out what causes mail app to get stuck yet...

I noticed that after I linked Facebook to my iphone, I had tons of new entries in my Contacts. I found a way to turn that feature off. Perhaps that's your problem with randoms joining in on your convos.
Yep, follow the instructions listed by the guy above me. I also did this: Settings ---> Facebook ---> Contacts: Off (allow these apps to use ur account). That cleared out all my Facebook friend phone numbers from my Contact list on my phone. Hope this helps. Updating an os should not require oodles of work on our end.

Having a problem with the ios 7 update and email.

One of my email inboxes keeps showing up as unread emails. I mark them all as read, then a short while later they show up as unread again. This only occurs with my hotmail account. Ideas?

Try powering the iPhone down and back on. If that doesn't help, go to Settings -> General -> Resets and reset the Network Settings. One or the other of those steps cures the problems with iMessages for many people.

What is going on with the latest update? With all the problems folks are having, why hasn't apple acknwledged there is a problem? I will not update until they make some sort of effort to correct all the issues that loyal apple users are having. COME ON APPLE. Get with it.

This iOS update is not, by a long shot, generating the volumes of issues previous iOS updates have. You're asking us to speculate, which we can't do and historically, Apple does not publicly say anything about their products once they are in the hands of users. But do know Apple is listening to users on a worldwide basis and if there are issues that are uniform (I say that because I've yet to experience a single iOS 8 issue on my new iPhone 6 or my iPad Air - Not ONE) Apple quietly works behind the scenes with updates rolled out over time.

You can transfer the purchases from your iPhone to your new computer by following the steps in following article.

My thought is to check the current IP of the server, as your smb.conf has the line interfaces = 192.168.1.109 which means samba will only listen on that interface for requests. If the IP of the server has changed, that would explain why samba isn't working.

Problems with the iOS 7 keybord in iPad 2

I've installed iOS 7 my iPad (2) and when I was asked to insert my passcode (which is a non-english word) I didn'd find the key to change the languarge. What can I do?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Problems with the Netweaver Linux VMWare Version

I've done the following points:
-> download the: SAP NetWeaver7.0-Java-VMware-Trial
-> download the: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
-> download the: VMWare Player 2.0.2 for Windows
Now i've started the VMWare Player, open the "SAP NetWeaver7.0-Java-VMware-TrialCTB.vmx" File
then VMWare asked me for the SP...Test_Drive.vmdk, i've choosed the "SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.vmdk" File and then the Suse Linux Enterprise Server started and i could log in. But how do i start the Netweaver at this plattform? VMWare shows (in the top left) that i'am using the SAP Netweaver Image, but i find no instance on the Suse System.
i've tried p.e. : http://localhost:50100
What is the failure? I hope someone can help me.

Once you start the CE1 Server, CE1 node will be green. Once CE1 will green, then you will able to access portal.

I connected my macbook to my hdtv, and used a wireless keyboard and put in new f commands, when I unconnected it, and tried to use the f keys on my macbook, they wouldn't work, I just get that ring noise, I tried to go to the settings and fix the f keys, but it wouldn't work, I pressed the default button and it didn't work the keys are still messed up, and theres no way to fix the f buttons, when I press the decrease or increase brightness buttons they won't do anything now, and I don't know how to fix this so they do work, can someone give me some help so I can fix this, thanks.
