Problems with using view in a WAD report

Dear experts,
I have created a WAD templete for accounts recievables. It is based on a query which shows a graph of top 5 customers and a table which shows the total recievables. Both the graph and the table are based on the same query. While the graph is based on the query, the table is based on a particular view of that query. While the graph shows the correct result for any period, the view was showing a wrong value. I just saved the view again and it started showing correct result. I would like to know if the view takes the date of its creation as a key date. Do i need to remove the view and create a query to show total recievables? Or is there anything other than this I might be doing worng? Please guide. Thanks a lot.

Sumit,
Try running the view directly in BEx Analyzer. Are the results in line with the web?
Try calling teh web report with the variable screen and check the date value being used.

Problems with using special characters in Interactive Report Search

Hi!
I am currently developing an Application on Application Express 3.1.2.00.02 including a page with an Interactive Report, facing the problem that I cannot use special german characters in the Searchbar.
So if i try to find a name like 'Schröder' the created Filter looks like this 'SchrÃ¶der' and i won't get any valid search results. By the way the rest of the application supports these special characters like using them in Buttons or any other Page elements.
Does anyone have a clue how to fix this problem, because it's driving me nuts ;)

Problem with using View Generator Plug-in in AWM

Hi,
I have noticed that the View Generator Plug-in does not show me the Level Short Desc and Level Long Desc when I pick the fields to be written to the view. Has anybody encountered this before? I am using Oracle 10gR2

Hi Bharat,
I checked my 10.2.0.3 environment and both the long and short description attributes are shown for each dimension. If you have not already done so, download the 10.2.0.3.A version of AWM and the associated "A" version of the SQL View generator from the OLAP home page on OTN.

Problem with HTML viewer

Dear All ,
I am facing a problem with HTML Viewer . My senario is as follows :
1. I have created one HTML page . On that page there are 4 Images
2. I imported that HTML page in SAP with the help of transaction SMW0
3. I Called that HTML page in my ABAP program using the method "load_html_document" of class cl_gui_html_viewer
4. This is happening perfectly ok on the machine on which all this developement was done.
But the issue is when I execute my ABAP program on a different machine , those Images on that HTML page are not displaying.
Can you please guide me how to remove that machine dependancy?

Please check if the image is properly imported properly. Also check if there is any option which you might have forgotten while imported like dependeency.

Can any one tell how to use views in sql script report?

Most of the views are based on tables (or other views which are based on tables).
The view typically shows one org at a time based on the context that is set.
If you need records for all orgs, you need to use the underlying tables. Oracle typically names the tables with a _all suffix.
e.g. PO_HEADERS will show records for one org at a time. PO_HEADERS_ALL will show records for all orgs.

but in both ways the subtitle is not shown in my axWindowsMediaPlayer1 control;

As i know the Synchronized Accessible Media Interchange (SAMI) file must use an .smi or .sami file name extension.
set the smi-file direclty like following
AxWindowsMediaPlayer.closedCaption.SAMIFileName = "subtitles.smi";

Problem with Materialized Views after an export

Hi @ everybody,
At an Oracle 11g R2 (11.2.0.3.0) instance, all actual CPU's/SPU's are installed, on a Red Hat 6 Machine i have a problem with Materialized Views from a schema, which i have exportet from an old database machine on Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1.0) to the new machine.
I've exportet with the old exp and imported with imp, because i know, that i get some strange errors because of the materialized views when i'm using the new expdp and impdp tools.
At the old machine the materialized views are so programmed, that they get an update of data at a defined time like this:
START WITH TRUNC(SYSDATE) + 21/24
      NEXT SYSDATE+1
...But after the export this "update function" of the materialized view is not available. So i have deleted that views and recreated them with the START WITH parameters. So now they are running.
But why do i have this problem?
Is this "START WITH" somewhere written as a job or so in, for example, DBMS_SCHEDULER or something else? So i had forgotten to export these jobs or where is that defined?
Is this a bug?

I can't remember the error of expdp/impdp. That is some days ago, i have to rebuild this.
I think in my scenario for the import i don't need the TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION, because by importing at the new server i've just createt the naked tablespace for the data and the users, not more. So he didn't has something to overwrite.
And i have to tell you: i'm just the dbA. The desining of the tables and materialized views is many years ago by installing the old server. I'm just to young in my company to know about the design of the instance and why it was designed so.
Anyway: my problem is, that after the import of the schemas to a new server the "START WITH" option in the materialized views is not there anymore and i just want to why so i can think about a solution for that and create it with the database designers of my company.
EDIT: And here are the SQL Statements for creating the Materialized Views:

But, i think, for my problem this line is determining:

The warranty for the iPhone is not and has never been International.
Warranty and support are ONLY valid in the country of origin. The only exception is the EU where the entire EU is treated as one country.
If the device will be used in India, buy it in India.
An unlocked iPhone will work on any supported GSM carrier world wide. The LTE portion of a US purchased, unlocked iPhone is unlikely to work outside North America as it does not support the appropriate bands used in other countries.

I have two Iphones 5 with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID account.Both are using IOS 8.
I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

Problem with a view in XK01 transaction

Hi All,
I am working on upload conversion for Vendor Master. While doing conversion, i am getting a problem with a Contact person view in XK01 transaction. In contact person view the telephone field column sometimes allowing to add data ,sometimes it's not allowing data which results an error in conversion program saying that the telephone field in not an input field. I don't know why the view is showing the telephone field like that.
Can any one suggest the solution for this problem. I know this is configuration problem with a view but i posted in ABAP forums.

I assume that you are writing a BDC program to upload contact person information. If so, you are trying to populate a table control here. Please check to see if you are calculating the index to assign values to the correct rows.
if you are calculating index in your program then i think it should be configuration problem as you said.

We build a Web site that use sometime COM+ Transaction and sometime DB
Transaction. If we use a COM+ Transaction and a few seconds later we try to use
a Database Transaction (OracleConnection.BeginTransaction), we get the error
Connection is already part of a local or a distributed transaction
Of course the error does not produce everytime; it takes some try before we get
the problem. And of course, if i use pooling=false on the connection string,
the problem does not appear.
i run the Web page
and push the COM+ Transaction and DB Transaction one after the other for some
times and the problem should appear.
Environment: Windows server 2003, .Net Framework 1.1, ODP.Net 9.2.0.401,
Database Server 9.2.0.4

Is this happening at runtime or at buildtime? You'll need to provide more info on what you are actually doing that's causing the problem.

Problems with use cases in JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0

Use cases made with JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.2 can not be used and edited in JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0.
Same problems with Use Case Diagrams.
And it seems to be impossible to create new use cases in JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0.
What are the differences between 11.1.1.0.2 and 11.1.1.1.0 if you look at use cases??

In JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.2 each use case has one file with the folllowing name: *.xhtml_usc.
In JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0 each use case has two files with a names like *.xhtml_usc and *.uml_usc (after standard migration with JDeveloper). I can still edit the *.xhtml_usc files, but I have no idea what to do with the *.uml_usc files. I can only open a Property-editor, but the properties I see have no relation with the text I used in my original use cases . New use cases only have a *.uml_usc file and a Property-editor. In javadoc the new use case does not appear.
My question is: why do I have two different use case files in JDeveloper 11.1.1.0 and how can I use the Property editor??

I am having problem with using the Basic brush definition. When I try to click on it will not allow me to use it and will automatically use the 5 pt. oval brush definition. The only way I can use the basic brush is after I have already drawn something and then I have to click on the stroke and then press basic. This is incredibly annoying and if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. (I have Adobe CS6)

for whatever reason, the basic 'brush' you see in the brushes palette effectively means removing any brush from a path. to draw with the brush tool you need a brush defined. in your case the last one selected being the 5 pt oval one.

Basic is not a brush, only a starting point for you to make a brush. Load the real brush you want before beginning to draw.
