For standard iViews, installing the BUsiness Package for SRM and manual registration of UWL in Portal is good enough for setting up EP for SRM

We implemented one concept in Flex and now would like to integrate with JavaScript. Earlier we integrated an Applet code but now, we developed the concept in Flex, however, I am unable to integrate the concept in java script.
Can anyone help me out with the procedure to integrate flex swf file in java script ?

What version of FlashPro are you using? If you want a self contained app that doesn't load external resources, publish an AIR app, which will work on Windows or OSX. I'm using OSX so I can't really help with .exe projector files, but it looks like the latest version of FlashPro no longer outputs projector files—I think everything is AIR now.
If you really want to go the projector route, I'm guessing Jeffrey Smith's suggestion of finding an older version of Flash Player would be simpler.
So for AIR, set your Publishing target to AIR for Desktop. Then under File>AIR settings:
Output as: Application with runtime embedded
Include files: Add all of your resources—the swf ID generated and it's resource folder
In the Signature tab click New to create a self-signing Certificate (if you were developing commercial software you would need a third party certificate). You can save the certificate anywhere.
When you publish you should find an AIR application file (.app) file in the directory with your .fla

WDA with GP - Web dyn pro Abap intergration with Guided procedure

I tried integrating a WDA - Webdynpro ABAP application in Guided procedure. Though I was able to create a CO - Callable object out of the WDA , I am not able to access the WDA input and output parameters, I just want to know, where am I going wrong?
Does anybody have any leads? Thanks in advance.

Unable to integrate on-premises Lync 2010 to Office 365 hosted UM

Hello everyone
I am looking for a solution to make our voicemail working again after the recent move to Office 365. We have a fully functional Lync environment with edge server and it is connected
to a couple of analogue PSTN lines using an audiocodes MP-118 Gateway. We don't have a PABX system. I was able to integrate this setup to the on-premises exchange UM. We recently migrated our exchange mailboxes to O365 and I followed the procedure to integrate
on-premises lync to Hosted UM but no luck. I think the 'Outlook Voice Access" number is causing the issue. Since we don't have a PABX I am not sure what number I should use for Outlook Voice Access. I was using a fake number in the on-premises setup.
Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue or suggest a workaround?

Hi,
Naturally if you use a fake number then you won't be able to call your Subscriber Access number from the PSTN. A common mistake when configuring hosted UM with on premises Lync is not matching the 'routing number' in your hosted UM dial plan to the number
of your Subscriber Access contact object on premises - these two numbers should be the same. Typically the number used for this is a spare number on your DDI range. You can use a fake number if you desire, it wont be accessible externally, but is required
to map the hosted UM service to a contact object down in Lync.
You mention that you had previously used on premises UM without issue, you should ensure that the legacy contacts objects and configuration for this has been removed to ensure it doesn't impact your new hosted configuration.
If you can point me to the guide that you followed, I might be able to identify anything that's missing from the process.
Additionally, what is the error that Lync reports, and have you been able to look at a client side trace with snooper?

@Stijn: With regards to OBIA-specific screens I definitely agree with you. Not so sure about the basic integration though. The Integration Administration screens are normally available.
Key item to have is the ROW_ID (or "INTEGRATION_ID" if you're talking OBIA context) in order for the integration to work...i.e. be able to jump from OBIEE to Siebel.
The responsibilities are the other issue. Your approach is 100% sound and I'd keep that one in mind (@user8681498). I have never tested Siebel integrated OBIEE without OBIA where the security is concerned so I somehow doubt that the hand-over of usernames and the attached responsibilities for transformation into web groups works immediately.
@user8681498: For the tables missing from the Siebel schema, those are mostly OBIA related tables - i.e. for data loading purposes rather than for authorization or integration mechanisms.

i would like to know when u last run ur depreciation run.
i mean u r trying to run for year 2006 right. but right now system is in 2008.
so it may be issue related to closing and opening of a fiscal year.
try once closing the year end 2006
now open fiscal year 2008 and than
reopen the closed fiscal year 2006 and than proceed for the depreciation run.
the reason is as per the fucntionality it will allow u to keep open 2 fiscal year at a time but
than u need to close the last year and enter into new fiscal year and match the fiscal year of asset accounting and system date..
i think it will helps u to run the depreciation run.

integration between different databases are pretty much same procedure. You have to import jdbc driversfor the SYbase database and in the jdbc communication channel you have to reference the connection class. Creating data structure on the database side is pretty much same for all the databases.

Transaction Time out in BPEL

About my issue ,
A legacy system written in PL/SQL procedures written to process huge chunk of data ( kind of adapter which processes more than 2000 files each invoke updates some tables , which takes around 6 hrs to complete ). and we are trying to invoke those pl/sql procedures to integrate the system with SOA(11G).
We have developed a BPEL communicating to DB through DBadapter ( invokes the required PL/SQL procedures ).
All BPELs used are asynchronous processes . wanted to know how the DB Adapter works . is it a good practice to make the BPEL wait for the pl/sql procedure to return (Though BPEL process is a Asynchronous one) .
Please advice me on this .

Vamsi,
I believe configuring Pick activity will not help in this case. If you are configuring a DB adapter in a BPEL process then between the invoke and DB adapter it is a sync call. So try increasing transaction time out period through admin console and let me know the results.
Another option is, remove all activities and services from main BPEL after invoke activity (of DB adapter) and create another BPEL and create the removed activities. Create a concurrent program to invoke the PLSQL procedure and at the end of the procedure call the end point url of the second bpel and send the out variables to this bpel.

How to get Crystal Reports for Visual studio Download

I'm confused! All the links seem to take me to this page SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
It has lots of fixes and updates but I can't seem to find the actual Crystal reports for Visual Studio 2010 download. What am I missing? Am I just blind?
EDIT - I reread the page "All support packs are full builds of Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010/2012, thus it is not necessary to update incrementally" Does this mean the update download includes everything I need to integrate CR with my Visual Studio 2010? If so, is it save to install the update over a previously installed version? I have one machine that has both CR for VS 2005 and CR for VS 2010.

Yes.
Follow the below procedure to integrate CR for VS 2010 with VS 2010.
from the link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824 download 'Support Pack 10 Install executable' (first row first column).
Make sure you have VS 2010 installed. Now install the above downloaded exe on top of VS 2010.
That is it, above steps should integrate CR with VS 2010.
Even if you have a previous version of CR for VS 2010 installed, iw ould not make a difference as it is not a incremental build but a full build.
I hope this clears the confusion.

assuming installing flex builder plugin and use rads eclipse for it did not work ?
option :
turn on Clasic Update from properties --> general--> capabilities
then you will see another software update under Help which will have anotehr submenu, (I think its called manage components ) or something like that
in there you can manually link flex builder plugin to Rad by clicking add exstension.
