Process chain failing with error 8 in BI 7.0

Hi ,
we have upgrade the dev to BI 7.0 and I am trying to execute the process chains but it is failing with a error 8 due to the step of the job BI_PROCESS is in the name of a old user. So i have changed in process chain -Attrbutes--Execution user --- current user.So the chain has started but it has so many chains inside the Meta chain it looks i need to go to each of them and change as cyurrent user.
But is there some place where I can change globally to a Batch user/current user for these process chain in BI 7.0.If so pl let me know.

user SM37 to identify all BI_PROCESS jobs and change the User of the step in the jobs (they all should only have one step).

Attribute Change Run in Process Chain failed with SQL 942 error

Hi,
Attribute change run in th eprocess chain failed with the message " SQL Error 942" and ran succesfully after repeating the step.Searched in Forums for similar error but the solutions were not apt.
Any pointers would be of great help!!

The reason behind that error could be:
An attempt is made to activate a characteristic whose compounding was replaced and whose navigation attributes were simultaneously deleted. The replacement of the compounding temporarily deletes the M view of the characteristic during internal activation. The process of deleting navigation attributes involves converting the attribute SID tables. However, the M-view of the characteristic, which has just been deleted, is needed for this conversion.

Process Chain Ended with Errors - cause unknown

I have had several instances of process chains stopping for no apparent reason. The stops occur between 2 master data infopackage loads. The last step is green and the next is grey. The PSA table has been updated successfully for the last step. All IDocs are in green status in both systems. The monitor for the last successful step does say "Ended with Errors" although no errors are evident. The process chain starts back up via Repeat at the next (grey) step and continues successfully. There were no system problems or connection interruptions that occurred during the time the process chains failed. There were no changes in the remote user profile.
This exact problem has occurred a half dozen times since our application of ECC Support Packs several months ago and had not occurred before. The infopackages are different each time. Two different process chains have had this problem. I have re-activated and re-scheduled the process chains without solving the problem.
Thanks for any ideas on why this may be occurring or what I can do to prevent it.

The process chain step and the monitor load both are green. The Details tab shows all the processing is green, but the Process Chain itself is red with "Errors Occurred. There have been no runtime dumps.

Process chain failed with RSDMD199

Hi All,
While loading data through process chain, which includes master data and transactional data,
the job failed.
and the message is : RSDMD199
also when i checked in details tab in RSMO, i got meaasage like:
3510 data records in table /BIC/PZORD_NUM marked for deletion
also this job runs with 3 data packages, out of which 1st data package failed while updating in target.
But completed data package also has the same message like
3510 data records in table /BIC/PZORD_NUM marked for deletion
So can anybody explain me which type of error this is.......???

see Note 788588 which addresses the RSDMD199 error.
So shortly summarizing the problem of RSDMD 199.This error occurs due
to following reasons:
1. Master Data tables or indexes are inconsistent at the database level.
2. Master Data is inconsistent for the characteristic (RSRV check)
3. Same characteristic value spread across different datapackages and
they are loaded in parallel.
4. Parallel loading of time-dependent attributes or texts.
5. Delta update of an ODS object into a characteristic
6. Simultaneous data load into the following objects :
    a. Navigational Attributes of the characteristic
    b. Compounding Objects of the characteristic.
    c. Characteristics that are references of this one.
    d. Trasaction Data - Into Info Cubes that contain this
       characteristics
    e. ODS request activations - When the chacteristic is part of the
    ODS object.
Some of the above points are described in detail in the note 668466.

Process chain failed -- No error

Hi ,
I have a PC showing failed status in a local chain . But every thing is Okie in that local chain
After coming outof local chain , next process is Attribute chain .
How to manually do it ?/ or repeat it . no repeat option is available too.
My team suggest me to start this local chain again and not to do Attribute chain run manually. why so?/ please help me .
Any error handling docs on process chains is highly appreciated.

Hi Pavan,
You need to fix the error first. i.e. execute Attribute change run manually.
After successful completion, go to the process chain and right click on the next step ( next to attribute change run ) it will give the 'repeat' option.

Relaunch process chain failed. Error 8

Hi experts,
My problem deals with chain of load.
The chain was launched by user ALEREMOTE.
After a loading process failed it become red. Then I attempted to repeat o repair the process failed and the answers was:
JOB_PROCESS_LOADING could not be scheduled. Return code 8.
So, I couldn't relaunch the chain from the process failed.
Please, could anyone help me.

This is due to lack of authorisations in the production box.Try to repeat it once again and again it will give the same pop up
go to su53 transaction code there you can see the authorisation faliure send the screen shot to the basis or authorisations team to add it to your role.
After adding just logoff from sap and then try tologin and repeaat the job this will work.

SSIS fails with error : The process exit code was -1073741701

Hello All,
I am having issues with SSIS packages running from SQL agent job.
The server we are running the job is used for SSIS and there are lot of other SSIS jobs that are running.
We were able to run the job once successfully and the later runs are failing with the below error.(nothing has been changed)
The step did not generate any output. The return value was unknown. The process exit code was -1073741701. The step failed.
Nothing is being logged in the [catalog].[operations] or operation_messages view. When tuned the profiler ON we do not see the job trying to connect to SSISDB at all. I am assuming that the job is failing much before if does any thing.
I have moved the package to a different server and ran it with the same proxy account and it works fine there.
Any help or suggestion on this issue would be helpful.

You can run the job once successfully and the later runs are failing with the below error ran it as a Job. “The step did not generate any output. The return value was unknown. The process exit code was -1073741701. The step failed.” It
was really a generic error message with no information with it.
We can use Process Monitor and Event Viewer to capture the detail error message. Then based on the error message to fix this issue. The following similar issue is for your reference:

This may be due to AQ_TM_PROCESSES parameter.
what is value of AQ_TM_PROCESSES parameter..
Also paste value of processes parameter.
Also login as sysdba and give output of :
select * from v$resource_limit;

Process chain Failed while triggering the job

Hi All,
Actually everyday delta request has been loading to the dataTarget of same data source through process chains thrice with different timings.
Today Problem is only once delta request has been loaded into data Target without error. It has not triggered furtherly (two more times)
When i have checked in the processchain its showing delta has been failed.
Generally in this scenario how i have to investigate for know the details of the problem? anybody can tell step by step?

Right click on the failed process type and display messeges and go to the Process monitor push botton
if will take u to the Monitor screen
The best thing is go to the
1) SM37 and select the job in R3 and see the job log
2) RSMO and see the error messeges in the monitor for the request
give here the error messeges so that it will better to everybdy to help

HT1212 I am unable to get our of a continuous cycle when trying to update or restore my iPad 2. Plug in to iTunes 12.0.1 (latest version). Click update, told can't update, have to restore. Restore fails with error 9. Any help appreciated.

Here's the cycle:
I plug in my iPad when “cable to iTunes shows on iPad screen. It says "Your iPad can't be updated, you must restore it to factory settings." That bad enough news, but it gets worse.

Verifying iPad restore with Apple…
(empty bar under the Apple logo…does not show any activity)
“The iPad “iPad” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).”
Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

Using Alert Framework to send email notifications when Process Chain fails

Hi Everyone,
I've configured ALRTCATDEF in Solution Manager, selected the alerting option for Process Chains in - RSPC > Attributes > Alerting, but it looks like whenever any process chain fails, an email notification will be sent to the same recipients.
Is there anyway to have an ALRCATDEF - alert category for different process chains, so that different recipients receive notifications for different Process Chains.

Interesting....I was actually hoping for different recipients for different process chains.
E.g. for our
CRM process chain - Support Team 1
FI process chain - Support Team 2
and so on and so on.
I think the only way may be creating a custom process type and implementing a class for this process type that calls function SALRT_CREATE_API. Then adding this process type to the process chain, with a different variant for each.
However if anyone knows a way to do this in a SAP standard way using the Alert Framework, that would be great.
