Process is always in Processing Status

Hello
i created the UDT2UDT scenario as the official document
but always it appears in processing status
is there any missing config?
how can i nresolve it?

I found that my messages would hang forever in "Processing" if there was an error in the XSL.
The way I finally figured this out was to go to the technical error monitor in the B1iP dashboard (NOT the B1iSN one). I can't remember the exact path but there's a monitoring section there with two subsections of Event monitor and technical error monitor.
When I opened the technical error monitor I could see a German error message (although I was working in English) that began something like "Die formatvorlage.." Google translate told me it basically said the transformation could not be completed.
If you are using XMLSpy, it has the ability to test your XSL by passing it the B1i message (even the one stuck in processing, as it already contains the sender payload) through it and showing you the result.

  • Process Chains Always Hangs at the second step waiting for an event

    Gents;
all BI process chains created in Production system are always hanging in the second step waiting for an event RSPROCESS with a certain parameter. This issue is happening for all process chains in Production system and it is not happening for the same in other systems in the landscape (development, Copy of porudction, quality and so on). I tried to trigger the event manually using SM62 but the job is always stick to status " released". the same thing was replicated in other systems and the job status has changed and the process was completed.
Any idea what might cause this issue??
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You said that this thing is happening only in production system.Try doing the following checks :
1.Check SM21to see if there are any red entries. It can be possible that there is some data base RFC connection failure. While checking SM21, make sure you give proper selection condition. If there are any red entries, you may take the help of basis guys to understand the type of failure.May be file system has got some problems.
2.Check St22 and try to analyse if any short dumps.
3.Try to check Connection with the source system ( Goto RSA1->source system tab->right click on the source system and select check option to find if any errors in the connection.
4.If possible, try to load manually in some other info provider.
    Thanks,
    Tarun Brijwani.

NVSRUN (nVision-Report) - nVision process going in the error status for all nVision reports submitted from the web.
All nVision reports submitted online from the web are failing. Need to create new run control ID? How to do that for NVSRUN process?

Process Request shows status of 'INITIATED' or 'PROCESSING' but no longer running

Make sure u can open excel from the process scheduler server manually. when excel.exe gets crashed on the server, nvision reports may start to fail on the web. if u have too many excel.exe on the task manager also, u might want to kill the executables by suspending the prcs.
make sure u have the right parameters for the drilldown and layout paths. this also can contribute to the process running to error status.
Need to add the run control id - for a drill down report request u don't need a run control id. for a report book u can always add a run control parameters for every run. u can also differentiate the reports by the business units with your run control ids.
    Thanks

  • Why the process chain always run twice when triggered from R3?

I run a program from R3 by calling the remote function 'RSSM_EVENT_RAISE' on BW to trigger an event and in turn the event on BW bring up the running of a process chain.  But whenever I run the program on R3 to bring up the running of the process chain, I find the process chain always run twice at the same time.  Does anybody knows the answer?
And also I would like to know the functionalities of the two picture buttons "Activate" and "Activate and Schedule" in process chain.  In which case the "Activate" button should be used and in which case, the "Activate and Schedule" button should be used?   If we click the Start variant of a process chain, then click "Change Selections" button which bring up the window "Start Time" where the buttons "Immediate", "Date/Time", "After job", and "After event" are listed at the top.  If we modify at any of the above buttons, then after save this modification, we will have to click "Activate and Schedule" button to make it work, right?
Thanks a lot and everyone's idea is greatly appreciated!

Kevin, make sure there is only one job scehduled for the Start Process of your Process Chain.  If you bring up the Process Chain (not the log view), right click on the Start Process and select "Displaying Scheduled Job(s)...".  There should only be one scheduled job with name BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER.  If there is more than one, then when triggered, it would execute more than once at the same time.  If there is only one job, then maybe your R/3 program is triggering the event more than once?
As far as the Start conditions for the Start Process, it works off the same principals as a scheduled job.  These start conditions determine when or how the Process Chain is to be executed.  You also have control over frequency.  These start conditions determine the scheduling of the Start Process of your Process Chain.
When you schedule a Process Chain, a separate scheduled job is created for "each" process in the Chain.  BW controls the triggering of these jobs based upon how the processes in the Chain are linked.  All the jobs associated with Process Chains have strict naming conventions and all begin with BI_PROCESS_...  If you use SM37 to view all jobs that begin with BI_PROCESS_ you will find alot of scheduled jobs associated with your process chains.  Each job represents one of the processes within your process chains.
    Does this help?
Another tip might be to trigger the event manually in BW (use tx SM64).  If the process chain executes twice again, then maybe there is a separate scheduled job in BW that triggers the process chain that is triggered by the same event as the start process of the process chain.

  • Printing Problem - the process "mdns" stopped unexpectedly with status 1

I have been trying to get my Epson Stylus rX620 to print wirelessly for a while. It actually worked once and printed two separate documents. Then however it decided not to work any longer and it seems that nothing I do changes it. The same error message appears each time in the print monitor:
the process "mdns" stopped unexpectedly with status 1
It has printed wirelessly with the same equipment. It is attached to an airport express that is linked to extend my wireless network from an Airport Extreme. It has no problem printing when the USB cable is plugged in directly. I have tried everthing that I can think of. Any ideas??

    Hi John,
Okay, that was some new information...
Given that the hub is causing the problem then I would concentrate on testing it. Try connecting the Mac and the printer directly to the hub. Ensure the IP addresses of each device (Mac and Printer) are set to the same subnet (if printing via TCP/IP) or if AppleTalk is being used, make sure it is enabled on both devices.
You may also have to create a new printer. When you had the printer connected to the USB port of the AEBS, it will have been configured as a local device but printing via a virtual USB port. When the printer was connected to the hub, it would have been configured as a network device.
If this works then at least you know that the hub and the network cables are okay. The next step would be to ensure the AEBS, the printer and the Mac are all set to use the same protocol.
If they are all correct then try deleting the printer from the Printer List, running the Reset Printing System function and adding the network printer again. If you are using TCP/IP, you could even try pinging the printer to ensure the path to the printer is open.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • MacBook won't print PDF files, it states The process "pstopdffilter" stopped unexpectedly with status 1

Question: MacBooK won't print PDF files, after selecting print it states; The process "pstopdffilter" stopped unexpectedly with status 1. I am currently using a HP Deskjet 4400 series printer and it works fine with all our other lap top computers. Thanks for any help.

The pictwpstops filter on OS X machines, converts the job to straight Postscript before the normal CUPS filters get it.
If the Adobe APPs have a choice of what kind of PS to send, like Binary or ASCII, try toggling that setting to the opposite of what it is.
Though, if a reboot fixed it then likely the problem was a remporary bit flip, which may or may not happen again.

  • When I open iTunes , iTunes Match started to process step 1. Always same process and never ending

When I open iTunes , iTunes Match started to process step 1. Always same process and never ending...
I tried some suggestions but I cant fix my problem. Do you have any knowladge about this problem?

For the past few months, and several iTunes upgrades, iTunes Match spends some time in Step 1 "Gathering" and sending information to Apple. Then Step 2 runs through the first 2092 of 2094 pretty quickly. Jumps to 2094. And then immediatly back to Step 1 again.
Repeat every 5 minutes or so until Match is manually turned off.

  • Message on C8100: The process "usb" stopped unexpectedly with status 81. What should I do?

Our C8100 printer has worked well with our wireless setup for a few years.  It is now not printing from any of our home computers (wireless is working fine on these Mac's).  I've already turned off both computers and printer, waiting a few minutes and turned them back on.
Message on computer screen -- The process "usb" stopped unexpectedly with status 81.  What does this mean?

Yes it is a photosmart C6380 all in one
You are lucky. That model gives you an option not offered on cheaper printers.
You could abandon the USB connection completely and use ethernet to print. That model has, in addition to USB, an ethernet (or "network") port and wireless connectivity. Wireless can be flaky but ethernet is an amazing way to print--faster and more stable that using USB. The port should should be just above or below the USB port.
If your computer is already connected to the internet via ethernet, you can get an inexpensive ethernet router to create enough ports. The router goes between your modem and the computer gear. One router port is usually marked "WAN" and is where you connect an ethernet cable going from the modem. The router will have several other ports marked "LAN" that those connect yo you computer equipment.
You are basically splitting one ethernet line into several. If you have only the iMac and the HP printer, each one would connect to its own LAN port and you can print without USB issues. Normally setting up a wired router takes no software and no tweaking on your part. You connect the wires and it's running.
Here's a start on learning about home networking. In teh picture, what's labeled "gateway" is the router.

  • Process "cgpdftops" stopped unexpectedly with status 1

Suddenly my iMac G5 has stopped printing to my Kyocera-Mita FS1010 laser printer. The printer has done over 6,000 pages in this set-up.

I ran disk utility to fix permissions, but the printing didn't work
I booted from the install disk and repaired the disks (no problems found)
I am now able to print using Adobe Reader, but not Microsoft Word or TextEdit (the only two I have tested)
Printing to my inkjet printer works fine for all applications.
I desperately need help as I have heaps of stuff to print for a meeting this Friday.
    Thanks
    Ian

I have completed all you suggested, including re-installing drivers. The result is the same.
The printer is physically attached to my Airport Extreme as a USB Printer.
I can print successfully to the printer from the iMac G5 when using Adobe Reader.
I cannot print using Word, Excel, TextEdit, Safari, Mail or Preview using iMac G5. Others not tested.
I can print from my MacBook to the printer for every application thus tested.
Thus there is nothing wrong with the Printer, nothing wrong with the Airport Extreme.
The problem lies within the iMac G5 and the software/server used by the G5 to print. Presumerably the Adobe Reader prints using its own software/server.
    What else can I do?

  • Process chain stops - previous processes are green

    Hi All,
We have a process chain that loads our master data each night.  It chain is mostly made up of infopackages (mostly full loads) and the change run for those objects.  We recently upgraded from 3.5 to BI7, SP16.
Since the upgrade, this chain, and a few others just seem to stop.  They will start, and successfully complete some of the processes in the chain (all green), but then will not move on to the next process.  The next process will not be yellow, it just won't start. The overall status of the chain is yellow.
I am 100 percent sure there are no other chains running during this time frame.  This chain has been running for over 4 years in production, and we have never encountered this issue.
Last night, I removed the chain from the schedule, and then rescheduled.  I'm not sure if that is going to prevent us from having this issue.  I have also set the priority to high.
Should this prevent us from encountering this issue again?  I have searched OSS and found some related notes, but we are on a higher support pack than what is in the notes, so they are already applied.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Charla

The first thing that I'd recommend is to look at the Start Process Variants for the Process/Local Chains that are not starting. Specifically, I would check to see if the scheduling in those Start Process Variants are set to Direct Scheduling with Immediate Start or set to Start Using Meta Chain or API. It is possible that the conversion from BW 3.x to BW 7.x change the parameters of the scheduling withing the Start Process Variants, even though they were not physically changed and transported.
My recollection is, when we upgraded Support Package Stacks, we had some Local Chains just change on their own where the Immediate Start checkbox mysteriously become unchecked.

  • Implementing a custom process type for a process chain

I have created a custom process type for a process chain that allows a user to send back a failure or error status when calling an ABAP program.  I copied the class that is used from the existing ABAP process type as a template.
The process type works fine, I just cannot find out how to recreate the documentation for my custom type using free text. When you maintain the process type there is a field for the documentation object, but I can't find where in SAP to implement this.
I have tried looking at the document maintenance using SE61 and looking into the class documentation from SE24 with no success.  The only detail that is provided in the SAP help portal is:
"If necessary, assign a documentation type and a docu. object to the process type. The docu object can be called up via F1 in the process chain maintenance overview tree. "
Does anyone out there have any experience with this that can push me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Eddie

You can create and maintain system documentation from transaction SE61. This is how you would create documentation for a process type or if you wanted to create a book. <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a4/d47df949e111d189730000e8322d00/frameset.htm">more info</a>
Here are the steps to make your documentation similar to that used for the ABAP process type:
    From transaction SE61:
-Create a document of type TX (either from scratch or by copying RSPC_ABAP which is used for the SAP-delivered ABAP process type)
-Make any changes you need. I suggest downloading the document in ITF format and make the changes in a basic text editor and then uploading your changed document. It's a little easier to tell what is going on that way.
    Now on to transaction RSPC.
Once you save your changes, go to RSPC and select on any chain you have to get into the "plan and check views of process chain maintenance." Then just go to Settings -> Maintain Process Types.
From here you can select your process type, select TX from the document type dropdown, and then enter the name of your document in the docu. object field.
    Hope that helps.

  • Execute Process Task - Error :The process exit code was "2" while the expected was "0".

I am designing a utility which will keep two similar databases in sync. In other words, copying the new data from db1 to db2  and updating the old data from db1 to db2.
For this I am making use of the 'Tablediff' utility which when provided with server name, database, table info will generate .sql file which can be used to keep the target table in sync with the source table.
I am using the Execute Process Task  and the process parameters I am providing are:
    WorkingDirectory : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\COM
    Executable :      C:\SQL_bat_Files\SQL5\TC_CTI\customer.bat
The customer.bat file will have the following code:
    tablediff -sourceserver "LV-SQL5" -sourcedatabase "TC_CTI" -sourcetable "CUSTOMER_1" -destinationserver "LV-SQL2" -destinationdatabase "TC_CTI" -destinationtable "CUSTOMER"  -f "c:\SQL_bat_Files\sql5\TC_CTI\sql_files\customer1"
the .sql file will be generated at:  C:\SQL_bat_Files\sql5\TC_CTI\sql_files\customer1.
    The Problem:
The Execute Process Task is working fine, ie., the tables are being compared correctly and the .SQL file is being generated as desired. But the task as such is reporting faliure with the following error :
[Execute Process Task] Error: In Executing "C:\SQL_bat_Files\SQL5\TC_CTI\package_occurrence.bat" "" at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\COM", The process exit code was "2" while the expected was "0". ]
Some of you may suggest to just set the ForceExecutionResult = Success (infact this is what I am doing now just to get the program working), but, this is not what I desire.
    Can anyone help ?

    Jwelch,
    Thanks for the input,
"Change the SuccessValue property of the Execute Process task from 0 to 2 (which means that you will get a failure if there are no differences, since TableDiff returns 0 in that case)."
-- Not possible b'coz if there is no difference in the tables, which is also a possiblility, the job will fail.
"FailTaskIfReturnCodeIsNotSuccessValue to FALSE (which means it won't fail regardless of the code returned)."
-- Does this mean the job will never fail? Lets say the target table doesnt exist, then, by setting "FailTaskIfReturnCodeIsNotSuccessValue to FALSE " will the job fail? I guess my question is, how is what you've suggested different from setting "ForceExecutionResult = Success". Both the cases will show the task status "Success" even if there is an error.
Is there a way to keep the property of job 'Failure' if there is any generic errors like target table not found or say, the path given for .sql file output is not valid etc.
    Thanks again,
    Little_Birdie.
